Good location, nice rooms, clean

The noise from gym downstairs loud music early in the morning

No double glazing, very noisy from street noise.

It was clean and tidy.

It was a little hard to navigate to the car park. We were unsure at first how to get in the building.

Feel of the floor

Bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned properly. With urine marks in front of the toilet on the floor that smudged with my shoe.

The location is perfect. It’s very central to everything we need when we are here. The gym (BFT) is right next door, plus shopping, food and more. The staff are also very friendly and responsive to requests.

Cleanliness. There was hair on the bathroom floor (not ours) when we arrived and dust along the skirting.

Location was excellent, staff very helpful, room warm with heater on, bed was comfortable, couldn't fault much at all, will definitely go back.

Could do with double glazing and a fan in the bathroom.

Hotel front door, Room door and Corridor door are hard to open, they want to spring closed eating you and your luggage. But they are fire and security doors which I am glad for

Locality, comfortable, easy access drive wise and access to numerous food outlets and shopping. Staff on arrival very kind and helpful.

Inattention to detail. We had no sink plug, heater could not be used. I don’t believe our unit was serviced at all during our stay.

There was rubbish under the bed from previous slayers. Noise from the gym down below..

I had to ring the door bell about 20 times before anyone came to let me in!

Very clean and modern Staff obliging and helpful. Location is right in the centre so handy to food shops and mall. Laundromat is straight opposite the entrance. Highly recommended!!

Beds are firm, request a mattress topper.

Close to literally everything, Kmart was a 2 minute walk, KFC around the corner. Really good area right in the heart of Porirua

Needs maintenance - windows weren’t sealed so wind whistled through but overall was good

It was close to alot of things and could just walk around to everything . And the room we had was pretty good

I got woken up a lot as there is a sports bar close by and also a gym that had loud music playing early in the morning .

Location was handy to the arena and shops

The Cleanliness. Carpet getting out of elevator was filthy. Also there was a dirty handprint above the bed on the wall and foundation splatters on wall. And small drops of sometime brown under sink in bathroom and in kitchen. It looks like the room gets a basic clean, but it needs a deep clean also.

The windows have gaps in them so the wind was blowing straight through the whole night

Easy to check in. Good location. Well equipped room. Has everything you'd need and close to everything in Porirua.

They hadn't zipped the two single beds together so they kept coming apart. Room has no air conditioning, so was very warm. The fan did help, but I expect in summer it could be quite hot.

Room didn’t feel clean, burn marks in floor (from someone smoking?), noise from street/gym starting up at 6am, narrow hallways, dirty stairwell.

The location is great for bars and restaurants.

The heater on the wall kept twanging loudly as it heated up and cooled down, it eventually stopped making the noise after about an hour.

The room was simple, clean and had everything we needed. The coffee machine and extra tea downstairs along with the vending machine was a great addition. Location was great and also the Free parking ✅

If I had to say one thing it would be that the carpet in the reception area and long hallway could do with a deep clean. Lots of foot traffic in and out 😊

Close to everything in the township and the room was really comfortable, easy access to carpark but if its full theres free parking from 5pm-8am.

Booking in because theres no access until you have a card so someone has to be on the desk when you arrive. Gotta feel sorry for the guy if hes the only one there and has to step away.

Location. Right in heart of Porirua and everything we needed was with walking distance. Close to motorway. Handy having kitchen facilities if u want.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff were absolutely amazing. Hotel was close/ walking distance to everything -shops, mall takeaways etc. We highly recommend the post.

The facilities at Post hotel are great for a one night stay and allow for self-catering of meals if needed. The supermarket is next door, and there is parking behind the hotel.

I stayed on a Saturday night and was kept awake with a loud band at a nearby pub - this continued until midnight, Even with the windows closed this was a disruptive noise.

I stayed 3 nights at The Post Hotel and it was fantastic. My room and the facilities were modern, clean, comfortable and also had those little extra touches like a dishwasher, an abundance of milk, coffee/tea and bathroom supplies, brilliant informative sign in the bathroom. Loved the vending machine, no need to walk to a service station for snacks at midnight. The room was quiet, warm, comfortable and felt really secure. The hotel manager and staff were so friendly and helpful and I especially loved the location which was within walking distance to food, Woolworths, public transport, The Plaza, Public Library and the pools at Te Rauparaha Arena. There really was no need for the use of my car so it was parked up for the majority of my stay out the back and who doesn't want to save on gas right now. All in all I think The Post Hotel has done so well to accommodate travellers needs especially for being located smack bang in the city center. Obviously I was aware (from reading reviews) of issues with loud noise from a gym next door prior to my stay, but because of that knowledge I packed headphones and had no issues. Well done The Post Hotel.

That I couldn't stay longer!

I booked accommodation and my room was confirmed via email. Booked on the 3rd floor as thats where we wanted to be. We arrived picked up key took our first lot of bags up to our room, unpon return with our 2nd lot of bags we were stopped at reception to say we had to change rooms as the toilet was blocked. We were given a smaller room on the 1st floor had to go up get our bags come back down to get new room key. New room was alot smaller

The car parking is not secure parking and anyone can access it by walking from the road. There was a window we were unable to shut in our room and the floors in the kitchen were very sticky. The room was quite small for a two bedroom apartment, there was not a lot of room to move around inside (no living space).

Hotel was clean & comfy, good location, food, supermarket , train close by. Friendly helpful staff. Overall everything was good about this hotel & I would stay here again.

Location excellent for attending event at Stadium (about 5 minutes walk). Very comfortable bed. Although I didn't use them - well equipped kitchenette.

Less than ideal room layout - TV on wall perpendicular to bed, impossible to view. Equally out of sight of table, (dining) chair could be moved, though space at a premium. Not the hotel's fault - but no chance of sleep in given adjacent gym (I assume) blasting out music from 7:00!!

Gyms downstairs are very loud early in the mornings. Especially when they are training outside. Also there is one individual who yells throughout the night outside.

Location was perfect, right beside the mall and other restaurants, nice night view and safe for walks. Staff was excellent, the respond to contacts and messages. Really happy with the stay.

Probably the guy outside making noise (Probably mental health related) About the property, everything is excellent. They provided everything.

Hotel was nice , staff friendly, But very noisy at night time found it very hard to fall asleep with the homeless man shouting all night and when we finally got to sleep the gym decided to open at 5am and blare music out . would we go back there ? No
