Rien !

Erg gave ervaring gehad, goed georganiseerd, aardige mensen, gave tours

For the duration of our trip we looked forward to being in the Sahara the most. The camp didn’t disappoint on giving the vibe we were looking for. The lights at night time in the desert were complimented by a traditional evening performance around a fire pit. The animals here also looked to be well kept if you are interested in a camel ride. We have not seen camel care or know much on it so take that with a pinch of salt. However, they have no scars/wounds and appeared to all be in healthy condition. After our camel ride back, they were very happy to go to their home and have some food and water. They had a sufficient amount of camels so we believe only a few are used and then rested. We opted for the quad bikes on the way out which was amazing and Yosef was very caring. On each ascent and descent on the sand dunes, he made sure to look back and check we did it correctly. I unfortunately got stuck as my partner was being careful when going up a dune which caused me to be too slow but Yosef was there immediately to assist. Photo opportunity was also given where we took photos both on the quads and playing around in the dunes with no feeling of being rushed. We noticed previous reviews that didn’t appear satisfied with the food so were intrigued about this. However, we were not disappointed. For dinner we got bread and olives to begin with, vegetable tagine and then a chicken tagine after. This was followed by a fruit platter for dessert. Bread continued to be given throughout. We were stuffed to say the least. For breakfast it was buffet style with option of freshly made omelettes. Again no issues here.

Before arriving to this location we had stayed in two different riads in which the air conditioning was included and bottled water on arrival too. Upon arriving we were given the option to pay 200 dh for air conditioning per person not per tent. This is very expensive if you choose to come here as a family of four. Also to note, the A/C only came on from 9 pm to 8 am. We were only there for the night so unsure if that is for the whole duration of your stay or just the night. Bottled water was also 20 dh per 1.5l bottle. This being the hottest place in Morocco, you would think that each person would be given a bottle on arrival or in the tent. For reference we got 2x 1.5l bottles of water for 12 dh in Marrakech. We do note that on each dinner and breakfast a complimentary bottle is provided per table. Understandably, extras will not be included such as coke and so on like other riads. Our issue was more the price given we are in the desert with no other option. The location of the property is in the desert, however, pictures give the impression that you are alone there. This wasn’t the case. Other encampments are roughly 50 meters in a line which I felt took away from the “wilderness” experience. Each encampment appeared to do the same traditional music which could be heard. Sand boarding is also offered in the description for no extra. No class was given or shown how to do it. We just found a random board in the sand and had a go. This failed. We got a funny video but thought it was be more of an activity.

Belle nuit.

Ritkán találni olyan helyet, ahol ennyire jól ötvözik a kényelmet, a minőséget és a vendégszeretetet.

Great experience, unfortunately I realised that even the desert can be crowded some days

Friendly staff, good location, very close to the dunes and renting location

The tent was quite hot on June
