Sahara Happy Camp

这家帐篷酒店非常好，我们大家都很喜欢这里，而且提供的餐食也非常好，无论是当天的晚饭和早晨的早餐都非常丰富。员工也非常热情。身处撒拉沙漠的深处，非常安静，晚上是观星的好地方。

The tent, staff.

We had an amazing stay! The accommodation was excellent – the tent was beautiful, very spacious, and comfortable. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious. On our first evening, there was live music in the camp, which made the atmosphere even more special. They picked us up by car and took us on a very exciting drive through the dunes – we really enjoyed it! We also booked a 4x4 safari and spent the whole day driving around in a jeep, including lunch, which was a fantastic experience. Another great plus is that there is no extra charge for transport to the camp. Highly recommended!

the host Omar is very nice and he makes everything happen for u - just trust him :) the only advise is to carry Cash because cards dont work in the desert area overall..

Omar and his whole crew are the definition of maroccan kindness, joy and hapiness and pride for their country which they share with you from the moment you arrive making the trip to Merzouga the highlight of our stay. Bonfires and singing at night, incredible excursions through the region with the jeep at day, dune Surfing, riding dromedars there is nothing you can not do here. Food is excellent, secure parking. We will be back for sure. شكرًا!

Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war super. Der Transfer vom Parkplatz zum Camp war inbegriffen, was nur bei sehr wenigen Camps der Fall ist. Omar und sein Team haben sich sehr viel Mühe gegeben, dass wir uns wohlfühlen, und sind auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen. Das Zelt hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Die Quad- oder Buggy-Tour, die man dazubuchen kann, hat einen sehr fairen Preis und war unser Highlight. Das Abendessen war sehr lecker und es gab mehr als genug zu Essen.

Die Lage ist gut, aber nicht perfekt (wie bei den meisten Camps). Abends hört man, je nach Wind, leider die Straße etwas, aber das wird bei vielen anderen Camps sehr ähnlich sein. Warmes Wasser gab es für uns direkt nicht, wir haben aber auch nicht nochmal nachgefragt. Und da es insgesamt sehr warm war, war das auch kein großes Problem. Der Strom hat nachts auch nicht funktioniert, aber auch hier haben wir nicht nochmal nachgefragt. Aber nichts hiervon hat unsere Erfahrung getrübt. Wir würden das Camp wieder buchen und jedem weiterempfehlen.

The place is just perfect, smaller, cozy camp site. Omar, the owner is super nice and friendly person. Nothing was a problem. All staff is very polite.

Very nice camp. We happened to be on our own on the night that we stayed there, so the owner helped us with booking the quads, he drove us to the place and then picked us up to take us to the camp. The quads really was the top experience for both us and our two children. Highly recommended. Funnily enough we got soaking wet on the way back from the quads trip as it rained like never in the last 15 years... just as we arrived from the experience to the camp they brought us a lovely welcome tea and a heater to warm ourselves up and dry ourselves. Very friendly. The dinner was almost 5 courses, delicious. The breakfast was amazing as well. Very nice. The room is very comfortable.

Not a thing.

Room is clean. Interior design of tent is beautiful. Camp site is beautiful. Breakfast is good. Staff is helpful, in particular, Omar is very very helpful. The trip of 🐫 is very funny.

It is cold in Jan. As no heat in the tent, it is cold in the nighttime. If the tent has heat. it is perfect.

Luxury? No way! Far too expensive!

This place is a dream. I wish I had stayed longer. Omar and Mustafa are amazing young men and they were so good with my little boys. They organised a whole day for us while we were there, could not have asked for a better experience.

Everything!!! It was one of the best moments of my life so far what I spent here! Beautiful location very comfy too! The food was delicious and more than enough! And really like to highlight Omar and the staff hospitality. If You choose this camp you will have the best out of everything what the Sahara can give you and do not forget the slogan is THIS IS AFRICA!!! - you will understand this if you choose this camp 😉

Nothing

Everything that is said about Omar is true! He is an amazing person, full of life, who did everything to keep us entertained. Omar took us on a ride through the Saharian dunes in his pick-up truck and the ride was simply amazing as I have never experienced such a thing. Omar was playing some local band in his car (Tikoubaoiune) whose music sounded exceptional (a mix of blues and local folk which I have never heard of). I found them on youtube and kept listening to their amazing tunes. The meal organized at the tents was delicious, though a bit on the heavy side, given the extreme temperatures. I can highly recommend this experience.

Mustafa and his family were very hospitable, and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment at the Sahara camp.

Everything was really good and well taken care of.

The camp was luxurious, breakfast and dinner were great. Had a fun time with Omar doing the dune "roller coaster", Zaid brought us for the camel sunset ride and he certainly knew the best location for great shots. Mohamed was most informative when he brought on the 4x4W visit into the dunes and desert. Mutasfa was always smilely making sure we have alot to eat and drink.

Omar and all people here are super friendly and good hosts. Food was delicious, all attractions were super organised and camp is soo beautiful. Thanks for everything!🙂

My expectations were high ,since I had read all the stellar reviews...The camp is actually not as far as I thought from Mergouza. It did not feel like 15kms as its written at the description. The truth is that there are several camps near by, at an artificial location, full with planted trees and definitely away from the Dunes. It did not feel like being in the Sahara, but more like a camping surrounded by planted trees .. The camp is definitely organised, the facilities are good, the tent was large enough and the shower/toilet inside the tent is definitely a plus. However, I did not feel the cosy feeling I had last year at Wadi Rum, where a more ...basic camp made me feel special and well come. It's not about what was not there....it's how it felt, at least to me. The personnel were doing their best, the food was good too, no complaints for that. However, next time I will try to book somewhere more in the Dunes, and more remote.Omar was a good host and he tries hard to please his guests. He is full of life, and even when he tries too hard, it's all for entertaining his guests. He definitely tries to please them all, so he gets my gratitude.

Everything!! This camp is a really nice place, very curated in the details. The tent is big and well accesoriated. The bathroom is inside the tent and it's big. The water is hot! Breakfast and dinner are very delicious! Omar was so kind, available for any necessity and he took us to the sand dunes to see the sunset.

Authentic experience with enthusiastic staff who do their utmost to make your stay unforgettable. We didn't expect such high quality (food, beds, showers) in the middle of the desert but there it was. Afrika!

Tents get really cold in winter months, but that's part of the experience. There's plenty of warm bedding to keep you snug at night

We had a truly amazing time here, well exceeded our expectations.Everyone was always very friendly and helpful, the food was authentic and delicious, and the tent was really nice and well appointed. The bed was extremely comfortable and very warm (winter), the shower had hot water and nice pressure. The camp is beautiful and within walking distance to the dunes. Gatherings around the fire at night were so special, as was watching the stars. Amar was a fantastic host, speaks multiple languages and will help you with anything. He can get any car unstuck in the desert, amazing 4x4 driver - dont miss out the dunes drive with him. The kids (5 and 7) loved every minute, we should have stayed for a 3rd night... Will be back for sure!

Was cold at night and early morning (late Dec) - but that is the desert, not the camp.

It was an unforgettable experience we had staying with Omar. He was a superhost, very fun and hospitable. The 4x4 sand dunes ride with Omar was a unique excursion on it's own. We already miss the dunes and Omar especially. His positive attitude to life is contagious. We recommend spending at least two nights to experience the full desert experience. "Africa! We miss you Omar!"

RECOMMAND 100% We had an amazing and fun time at Omar’s camp! He’s a super host. The camp itself is just perfect : the tents are big, the bed super comfortable, the bathroom/shower are perfect and for people who like to sleep, the tent are not see through so the light in the morning is not waking you up early ;) Omar brought us to many places so we could enjoy and discover the beauties of the desert to the max! He knows what he is doing, he will bring you to places out of the standards where most of other tours goes. During our stay one of our friend was sick and Omar has been really attentive and helpfull in every way. Thank you so much for your time, your energy and positivity ! See you soon hopefully!
