Lokesh helped me get to the hotel as the Uber driver dropped me at only half way point to the hotel. Tip: Taxis are not allowed into the Old City. From the airport, book Uber to Backyard Cafe and it's less than 10-minute walk from there. Alternatively, book to Chandpole parking and take an auto rikshaw to the hotel.

Location is too inside, even auto rickshaw can't reach there, overall vibe of the place is not good, does not seem safe for girls, staff is also doesn't seem professional. We asked for cancellation before 2 days but he denied too

Struttura molto accogliente in una posizione ottima per visitare la città a piedi. Ci siamo trovati molto bene. Le camere sono spaziose, pulite e profumate. Il proprietario, Loca, è molto simpatico e ci ha aiutato fornendoci consigli utilissimi per visitare la città. Si è unito anche a noi la sera, sul rooftop, per giocare a carte. Colazione ottima. Consiglio questo hotel.

Very nice stay

Idéalement situé dans la presqu’île, à portée immédiate de tout et en même temps à l’écart de toute agitation, au cœur de la vie de quartier, un petit bonheur. Le personnel est adorable et on mange très bien au Little Prince (St-Ex), le restaurant affilié à l’hôtel, juste à côté du pont piéton.

Struttura pulita e accogliente. Staff veramente fantastico e gentile, ci hanno addirittura dato allo stesso prezzo la stanza di livello superiore poiché era libera. La colazione è buona con una vasta scelta di bevande/cibo anche internazionale. Veramente una bella esperienza. La via in cui si trova è tranquilla ma non ci arrivano le macchine, solo i tuk tuk.

My friend and myself (two women) stayed at The Lassi Hotel in the heart of the old city. The hotel was very nice. We both had beautiful air conditioned, comfortable and quiet rooms. All the rooms are unique and individually painted with traditional Indian scenes and patterns and feature stained glass windows. As well as a communal area, where you can make a coffee or a tea, there is also a roof terrace where you can play pool or sit and watch monkeys jumping over the roof tops. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Loka who ensured we had an amazing time. He ordered our take away food, helped us source a dentist, an optician and organised local guides! The hotel was in a quiet location, although livelier areas, where there were plenty of shops, bars and restaurants were within walking distance. We both felt safe walking around the area during the day and at night. I got lost once and a local person walked me home! There are plenty of shops in the area that stock everything from biscuits to shampoo and conditioner. We were volunteering at Animal Aid Unlimited (do visit), which was some distance from the hotel. Loka drove us there and back every day, stopping off at a roadside shop on the way home to buy beer and limca's, which we really appreciated. We ate out every night. We are both vegans and there were plenty of local vegetarian restaurants to choose from. Udaipur is a beautiful place and the Lassi Hotel was the perfect place to stay to explore the city, Lake Pichola and the City Palace. A big thank you to Loka and all the staff at the Lassi for making our stay in Udaipur a truly memorable experience.

We had the most special time at Lassi Guest house, we extended our stay because of the warmth of Loca and his family, the stunning building and the most beautiful paintings and decor, the comfiest bed and the peaceful location. It truly is now our favourite place in India so far. The rooftop area for breakfast was wonderful, we also sat there for sunset watching the langurs playing in the trees. I also have a huge shout out to Locas sister Millie for my AMAZING henna, so good I went back for more! It was so special sitting with the family, drinking chai and talking, giggling and playing with Daisy 🐶 we would come back to Udaipur just for Lassi Guest House

ウダイプルの湖に近い、落ち着いた旧市街の中にある。カラフルなミニアチュール絵画が部屋の壁に描かれており、色ガラスの窓や装飾的な家具など、すべてが異国情緒たっぷりで、まるでアラビアンナイトの世界に紛れ込んだような気分を味わえる。 各階に広々とした共有スペースもあり、そこも壁画が素晴らしく、朝の光の差し込む中涼しげな風にあたりながら、ゆったりとクッションにもたれて、セルフサービスのお茶やコーヒーなどを飲めるようになっている。スナック菓子やカップラーメンも置いてあり、遠出をして疲れてしまい夕食を食べそびれた夜にとても助かった。 スタッフも親切で良かった。 ウダイプルのシティパレスに歩いて15分くらい。なお、旧市街には自動車は入れず、タクシーもゲートのところまでしか行ってくれず、そこからはオートリクシャーしか入れない。しかし実は旧市街のゲートからこのホテルまでは歩いてほんの5分程度である。

Très charmante Haveli à quelques pas du centre. Bon petit déjeuner pris sur le rooftop avec nombreuses possibilités. Le personnel est très sympathique (Je ne retiens pas les belles fautes avec mon prénom sur le tableau de bienvenue 😉 ) et a été bien aidant concernant des problèmes d'internet que j'avais.

The rooms were lovely and comfortable. The common room area was a lovely addition with lots of teas and snacks provided, which was nice after long days sight-seeing. The staff were friendly and helped to organise extra activities such as getting henna done and doing a painting class.

Had an amazing time at Lassi Guest House. Udaipur is an exceptionally beautiful place, and this guest house is the best place to experience it.

Beautiful guest house in the perfect location in Udaipur. Walking distance from the main attractions but just over the foot bridge so you're staying in a more quiet area. Loca, the host, is kind and very helpful. We got a free room upgrade and were blown away by the stunning room and all the details.

Fantastique séjour au Lassi Guesthouse!!! Les gérants sont au top avec des supers conseils et super arrangeants. Ils nous ont surclassé car c'était possible. Merciiiii !!! Les chambres deluxes et premium sont absolument magnifiques et spacieuses. On est super central et tout est à distance à pied. C'est un guesthouse très tranquille en plus. Le rooftop est très agréable. On a adoré.

The staff is nice and you get the sense that they want to help but unfortunately there’re plenty of issues that go unresolved. The bedroom is nicely furnished.

I stayed for a night and barely slept at all—my room was facing the street which is the home to many streetdogs that were howling all night long, which the hotel can not do that much about, but worth keeping in mind as sound protection is basically nonexistent. Additionally, and more connected to the hotel, there were very loud cracks above my bed sporadically all throughout the night (imagine someone repeatedly jumping on a pile of dry and large twigs)—when I went to see staff they said “it’s just the concrete,” which unfortunately didn’t stop me from waking up, and in any case, sounds somewhat worrisome. The bathroom is pretty dirty and the toilet started out flushing a bit, then completely gave up its ghost. Wifi also not working. I give this low rating in part because I stayed at a different place in Udaipur for the same amount of money and it was fantastic—so even though Lassi is cheap, it’s possible to do better.

It was one of the most beautiful guest houses we stayed at in Rajasthan, really love interiors in the room. They also kindly upgraded us, which I thought was very thoughtful. Staff was helpful and flexible.

Alles war super: Ruhige Lage trotzdem zentral an Restaurants und Sehenswürdigkeiten gelegen, sehr freundlicher Besitzer Loca der uns einfach so ein Zimmer upgrade gegeben hat (Deluxe Zimmer), welches wunderschön war. Wir haben den Aufenthalt extrem genossen. Frühstück war sehr gut ebenso die Dachterrasse. Das Hotel kann ich sehr empfehlen.

We appreciated their friendliness. The staff was super accommodating to the requirements of our group. When one of us fell sick they helped to provide her drinks and food that she needed. They also helped us order and eat food onsite. The common library space is very nice as a place to chill or prepare the next day of visit with drinks, snacks and food. The rooms were especially clean and beautifully decorated.

Internet was almost not working. Would have liked it to be properly working. The electric plugs in the shower were a bit surprising.

The hotel is absolutely amazing and the interior of the inside is very beautiful. Comfortable beds. Also we were upgraded upon arrival. The sister that was left to manage the hotel at the time of our stay was very sweet and was going out of her way to help with. Very Greatful.

Shower, such a beautiful hotel and design of the rooms but very poorly maintained :( this is very common in India. Need more care and more attention to cleaning and maintenance especially when prices like in Europe. . Also breakfast for the price and hotel standards aren't very good. I would say it's ok .

A Peaceful Retreat Worth Staying Longer The location is a real highlight — tucked away from the main road, which means little to no traffic noise, even at night. I slept undisturbed and woke up genuinely refreshed. It's an ideal spot if you're looking to unwind and disconnect. A lovely touch was the complimentary tea, soft drinks, and cookies, which added a warm, welcoming feel. I was also pleasantly surprised to receive a free upgrade to a standard room, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Although I only stayed one night, I would have loved to extend my visit. The rooftop offers a nice view, though it's worth noting that the lake isn't visible from up there. Overall, a great choice for relaxation and a quiet escape. The value for the price was very good.

Una experiencia absolutamente excepcional. Desde el primer momento todo fue impecable. Las habitaciones estaban en perfecto estado: amplias, cómodas y con una limpieza rigurosa. Se notaba el cuidado en cada detalle. El personal fue extraordinario. Siempre atentos, resolutivos y dispuestos a ayudar en absolutamente todo, con una actitud genuina y profesional. Mención especial para Shandal: su trato fue cercano, eficiente y siempre estuvo disponible para cualquier necesidad. Marcó la diferencia. El desayuno fue simplemente exquisito, de gran calidad y preparado con esmero. Sin duda, el mejor alojamiento en el que nos hemos quedado en India. Volveríamos sin pensarlo.

We had a great stay at Lassi guest house. Staff were friendly and allowed us to check in early. Breakfast was tasty. Great location that was walking distance to everything but still peaceful and quiet. Lots of complementary snacks and drinks always available were a great bonus :) Highly recommend I would definitely rebook if I visited udaipur again in future.

Loved the courteousness of the staff working there. And they offer free unlimited complementary snacks, tea, and coffee that you can have any time of the day. Great open rooftop, and nicely cooked morning breakfast meals.

The demeanor towards Indians vs foreigners is different. We saw foreigners being accommodated with their additional requests whereas we were denied those same requests (early check-in, and really rushed us out on our delayed check-out on a very cold morning).

The breakfast deserves a special mention — delicious, fresh, and of such great quality that it easily matches what you’d expect at a 5-star hotel. It was a perfect start to each day. We stayed at Lassi Guest House for three nights and left with very mixed feelings. On the positive side, Loca, who runs the place, is extremely helpful and kind. He personally met us at the airport, helped us with advice throughout our stay, answered all our questions, and shared useful local contacts so we could get the best possible offers. He is genuinely attentive and clearly tries his best to help his guests.

However, the main issue with this place is value for money. We paid around 400 EUR for three nights, having mistakenly understood the property on Booking as a small heritage boutique guest house. Unfortunately, this is not the case at all. At its current level, this place cannot justify a price of 130+ EUR per night. Realistically, it should cost at least two times less. At this price point, we expected: • a clean, well-maintained bathroom — instead it was not properly clean, with a very poor-quality faucet and shower, and a small boiler that does not allow two people to shower consecutively; • basic daily room cleaning — which was missing; • a decent, well-prepared breakfast — which was also far below expectations; • an overall sense of care, comfort and service — which unfortunately was not there. The property clearly has potential, but at the moment it feels like a place that is not properly looked after. This is noticeable in many details, even small ones — for example, the plants on the upper terrace, which are clearly watered very rarely. The same lack of attention can be felt throughout the property. What is missing is a real “owner’s hand” — someone who consistently maintains the space and creates a warm, cared-for atmosphere. As a simple, low-budget hostel or guest house, this place could be a good option and we would recommend it without hesitation. But as a higher-priced boutique guest house, it does not meet expectations — and for this money, there are many significantly better options available.

From the moment I arrived, Loca went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable, cared for, and genuinely happy throughout my stay. Every little detail was taken care of with so much attention and kindness; whether it was helping with local tips, arranging things for my convenience, or simply checking in to make sure I had everything I needed. The guest house itself is clean, cozy, and beautifully maintained, but what really makes it special is the warmth and hospitality. Great Location with a characterful room and lovely rooftop terrace for breakfast. Friendly staff but my highlight is Loca the manager of the guesthouse. Super friendly guy who goes out the way to accommodate and help everyone. He went above and beyond, managed to get some entrance tickets for me as well as a souvenir that I had on my shopping list. Eu e meu namorado Douglas tivemos uma experiência simplesmente incrível neste hotel. Ficamos hospedados por três dias, e desde antes da nossa chegada tudo foi impecável. O quarto era amplo, lençóis limpos, boa estrutura e conservação dos móveis, banheiro com água quente funcionando bem. O hotel tem uma localização bem central. O Loca, nosso host, foi extremamente amável, atencioso e cuidadoso desde o primeiro contato. Antes mesmo de chegarmos, ele já se preocupava com nosso translado, enviava orientações, dicas e estava sempre disponível para ajudar, sentimos que ele fazia de tudo para evitar qualquer imprevisto ou desconforto durante a nossa estadia. Um dos pontos altos de toda a nossa viagem à Índia foi o passeio de moto com o Loca à tarde, passando pelo Lago Pichola. Foi uma experiência inesquecível, linda, divertida e muito local. Ao mesmo tempo em que foi uma aventura, nos sentimos completamente seguros com ele. Sem dúvida, foi o ápice da viagem. O café da manhã é fantástico, muito saboroso e preparado com muito cuidado. Toda a equipe do hotel é extremamente acolhedora. Fomos recebidos com chá, água de coco, sucos frescos. Ficamos realmente surpresos com a qualidade da comida, o carinho no atendimento e a atenção aos detalhes. O serviço de lavanderia também foi impecável, rápido e muito bem feito. Desde o momento da reserva até a nossa saída, tudo foi perfeito. Somos muito gratos ao Loca e a toda a equipe. Recomendamos de olhos fechados e com certeza ficaríamos lá novamente. Quiet area, beautiful comfortable havelli, a feast for the eyes!! So close to the bridge to the busy castle side of the city, but in the old town so lots to see. Great help and support from the staff, clean and comfortable beds!!

Lassi guest house is a beautiful hotel in a quit location of the city. The room are absolutely amazing , i highly recommend the king room ! The service is perfect and great. Loca is adorable and will help you with everything you need. I asked him so many things (taxi, train ticket, food …) the team will support you on any point ! I highly recommend this place !

We loved our spacious room, which had everything we needed, and we also really appreciated the common room for guests where you could get extra tea or coffee and tasty biscuits. The breakfasts, served at tables on the rooftop, were a lovely way to start the day. The guest house manager, Loca, was very helpful to us throughout our stay and we enjoyed our conversations with him. He assisted us on our first day by talking to Air India, who had cancelled our flight back to Delhi, and we really appreciated his helpfulness. We would love to return to this guest house one day.

Horrible beds, shady location, it does NOT look like the picture, extremely overprices for a 2 star hotel (30€ a night per people). The windows are old and there is wind flowing constantly so you get cold at night. TV wasnt working and there are fireworks until 1/2am and tge music of a temple from 4/5am onwards (can't do much about that though) but you should be warned. Cars also can't access the location, only a tuk tuk. And the matresses were so hard my mom ended with back pain the next day

Great service! The facilities are clean and comfortable. The staff helped organize activities and transfers to the airport. Very central to walk! Would recommend and stay again!!

Only downside is that the prayers in a nearby location start very early and will definitely wake you up. On the bright side the guest house offers a great breakfast from 8.

This hotel is a hidden gem. It is a very short walk over the little bridge oposite the palace. I loved the look of the hotel and my room it had Rajasthan character. My room had a little couch near the window and beautiful artwork on the wall. They also had cake and biscuits in the library . The reception was helpful and answered my very stupid questions.

This was the best hotel we had in our trip through India. It was very clean and charmingly decorated, but the level of service is what truly stood out. We got free snacks, a lot of help offered if we needed anything. The free breakfast was really good, with the best coffee we got on our trip (specialty grade from two beans roastery). Location was also good and the lanes around were surprisingly clean

If you want to nitpick, the toilet could have been a bit more separated from the room
