The rooms were clean with comfortable plush beds, the staff super polite, the food was so delicious, my entire family loved it so much we didn’t want to come back home!

The approach to the haveli

Location was good, right in the middle of the happening place.

It's very much inside only rikshaws can come cars can not.

L'emplacement excellent à 5 min de tout. Je n'ai pas été obligée de prendre le tuk tuk. Personnel très discret à la réception, un peu trop à mon arrivée, j'aurais aimé un peu plus d'accueil comme vu sur les photos de l'hôtel, arrivant seule dans une ville inconnue. Cependant très réactif qd on a besoin d'aide. J'avais oublié mon chargeur a l'hôtel ils me l'ont rapporté à mon arrêt de bus en moins de 30 min!! Chambre très propre, eau chaude , je reviendrai certainement !

Enjoyed the room I selected. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was great. Walking distance to City Palace and Jagdish Temple. Plenty of shops in the surrounding areas. Please note that a taxi may not be able to get to this property. However, the hotel will assist you with directions to get there by tuk-tuk. I got the taxi to drop me off at Jagdish Temple Parking and took a tuk-tuk to the hotel.

It’s a perfect place to stay , has beautiful clean spacious rooms, nice rooftop restaurant, good breakfast that’s included. Location is strategically best as all places to visit are walking distance . Humble and helpful staff. Infact they sent such a detailed email to guide us on how to reach there, which was so helpful. The guy even came down near parking to help us with us luggage. Loved the place ❤️

It was perfect

The restaurant was good. The room was quite big. The staff were very friendly and helpful. City palace, Lake pithola, and Hathiol Market are at walking distance. The waiting room is quite large

The location of the hotel is very tough. However, in old Udaipur we should not expect anything better.

One can walk to most of the inner city sights as the hotel is located in the old city. The rooms are a good size and clean, and the staff at the hotel are attentive and very helpful. The in-house restaurant is an added bonus providing tasty fare.

One can only access the Hotel by Autorickshaw. Being in the old city comes with its challenges of smaller thoroughfares and lanes. Tour buses/ Taxis can take one to a certain drop off point which is located close to the hotel, where one switches to an autorickshaw to be dropped off at the entrance of the hotel. Best to get the directions from the Hotel reception so one is prepared. This mostly presents itself mostly at Check in or check out only.

Das Servicepersonal im Restaurant war ein bisschen träge.

The location and the food was good

The hotel appears to be quite old and unfortunately had several maintenance issues during my stay. There were plumbing problems, and the bathing area was not separated from the washroom, which made the bathroom inconvenient to use. The bedsheets also did not seem to be cleaned properly. On top of that, the power was cutting off frequently, which made the stay even more uncomfortable. I hope the management works on improving maintenance, cleanliness, and power reliability for future guests.

It was a clean quiet haven from the busy streets of Udaipur. It was walking distance to the lake and palace museum. Great staff who were always happy and informative. Thank you

Erg mooie kamer met het beste bed dat we tot nu toe in India hebben gehad. Heerlijk geslapen! De locatie is super dichtbij alles en het ontbijt is uitgebreid.

Je moet een beetje wennen aan de buurt, smalle straatjes met s ochtends koeienpoep. Maar het is echt prima om daar rond te lopen.

Das Zimmer war geräumig, Dusche hat sehr gut funktioniert, was für Indien nicht selbstverständlich ist, die Dachterrasse mit Blick auf den Palast war sehr angenehm.

The room could be cleaner. Not pleasant staff on the roof top. Poor breakfast. The room was smaller than on the photos.

Totalmente recomendable

Hay que tener en cuenta las limitaciones de tránsito que tiene la ciudad, que no dependen del hotel, pero que impiden que los taxis lleguen hasta la puerta del hotel. Según el horario pueden llegar hasta cien metros hasta las nueve de la mañana, o si no te dejan a mil metros y si llevas muchas valijas tenés que tomarte un 🛺. El resto la ubicación es excelente porque está cerca de todo lo importante.

It was wonderful. Location is good, you can walk to most of the attractions, views from top are good, staff is very polite and professional, everything is good.

Breakfast menu could be improved. Otherwise everything else was awesome.

Lo staff, per niente amichevole o d'aiuto. Molto poco gentili o disponibili. Lo staff giovane, invece, era più gentile ma con troppa pica esperienza per essere lasciato da solo all'accoglienza. Non ci è piaciuto il freddo. Le stanze e la sala colazione sono fredde.

Stylish and cosy hotel in the center of Udaipur close to Jagdish Temple. Very nice room. Quiet surroundings, the alleys are perfect for exploring on foot. Very helpful staff in the reception. Great indoor and outdoor restaurant on the roof, with very nice and serviceminded staff. Great view over City Palace and the city. Good breakfast.

We suggest the following improvements: Please wait with debiting the customers card until they arrive. You (via BookingCom) are flooding the guests with multiple identical messages. A 5 nights stay should not result in 5 identical messages. Before, during and after our 5 night stay you sent a total of 30+ messages - please stop.

The location was great, right in the heart of the Old City. Easy to walk places. My room was quiet and comfortable and nicely appointed. Great bed! The breakfast was average, but fine for my purposes. The staff was friendly and helpful (thanks, Diksha!) I would stay there again if I returned to Udaipur.

As I mentioned, the breakfasts were just average, but that wasn't a big concern at all. I appreciate that breakfasts were included in the very reasonable prices.

Rooms were comfortable and with old time furniture. Lift facility was a boon for senior citizens. Excellent food and very courteous staff. Lobby and walls were decorated with beautiful paintings and murals.

Located in the old city. Surroundings are very crowded and approach to Haveli is very narrow. Reaching the Haveli by taxi is impossible. This affects the movement of luggage and senior citizens.

I stayed at Kotra Haveli from 2nd to 5th January 2025, and honestly, while booking I was a little hesitant after reading a few mixed reviews. However, its central location in Udaipur convinced me to take the chance—and I’m so glad I did. If you’re considering staying here, trust me—you won’t regret it. Kotra Haveli truly stands out for its exceptional hospitality, delicious food, prompt service, and impeccable cleanliness. A thoughtful touch I really appreciated was their waiting room facility, which is extremely helpful if you arrive early or have a late train or flight. The food deserves a special mention. The in-house chef, Mr. Praveen, prepares absolutely amazing meals, and the warmth shows in every dish. Narendra, a young and attentive staff member at the restaurant, was equally wonderful. On our first day, we arrived before check-in and decided to have breakfast while the room was being prepared. I ordered parathas, but my daughter—who doesn’t eat spicy food—found the paneer paratha a bit difficult. Even though she managed to eat only a small portion, Narendra noticed her discomfort and immediately replaced it with a milder version, without us even asking. Such gestures truly define great hospitality. While cars cannot reach the property directly, autos can conveniently drop you nearby. The biggest advantage is that most major attractions are within walking distance—including Jagdish Temple, City Palace, Hathi Pol Market, Lake Pichola, cultural programs, Maharana Pratap Express (toy train), and Karni Mata Temple. Overall, Kotra Haveli offers a perfect blend of comfort, care, and location. I would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Udaipur.

Very good internet, hot shower, comfortable room, nice staff, very good breakfast, very flexible with the options, they even gave us pack breakfast to take to the airport the day we left. Good spa, I recommend the massage. There is a restaurant on the rooftop, we had dinner there once. Money exchange. Great location.

Very clean and well maintained. The haveli itself is lovely. The restaurant staff and porter were very good and helpful. The location is good if you want to be in the city centre- there’s a great view of the palace.

It is extremely inconvenient to get to the hotel. The front desk staff could have been more accommodating and helpful. It’s not possible for taxis to reach the entrance of the hotel, and the front-desk did not help us find an autorickshaw to leave. If you have no big bags then you should be fine.

Everything was good. The staff were obliging and friendly. Food was good in the dining room, which had a great view over the city. The hotel is located in a quiet courtyard very close to the busy heart of the old city. This is one of the best hotels we have been to in Rajasthan.

An excellent 'haveli' (a mansion built around a courtyard in the traditional style) which is spotlessly clean and naturally cool. The staff are very friendly and helpful, particularly Mr Rahul Singh at reception and the restaurant staff. The restaurant is on the roof with fantastic views of the Palace and the city.

The location is only accessible by autorickshaw and not suitable for people travelling with a lot of luggage. For light travelers it is good.

A beautiful Haweli and this was my second stay. Good value for money and clean. The staff is absolutely lovely. Any wish is granted, if they can arrange it. Breakfast is good and so is dinner. I also like the location, tucked into a small alley but close to everything. This way there is less noise. The receptionist Kuldeep Singh Rathore was very helpful and spoke great English ! Also the boy that works nightshift walked me to get a tuk tuk middle of the night when I left. This place is really good overall and Incan recommend it.

A bit tricky to get to, can't do so by car, but tuk-tuks available. Some electricity supply issues (not hotel's fault, actually they handled these quite well using a local generator).

The hotel was very exquisite clean and we'll maintained. The room was more than adequate with a great view of City Palace. The breakfast was great really enjoyed it and location was perfect walking distance to the best sites. Staff was friendly and helpful.

It's fun to stay in this haveli. It has the best view of the City Palace at night on the roof restaurant, better than the Taj lake palace or leela where i also stayed. A steal at this price.

The haveli is conveniently located right in the center, only a short walk to the lake and City palace. The views from the rooftop were amazing! The food at the restaurant was also good. And the staff were friendly.

A bit too many messages sent to guests before and after the stay. Also, the duvet and pillow covers were a bit old.

The only thing I did not like was the multiple messages before my stay asking me for details of my arrival for the pickup. This was most disturbing and created stress. When I stated they have the information, the response was all in upper case blaming a coworker. In the end the information was not correct and I was forced to pay extra to a tuktuk driver to complete my journey. This had not been clearly explained. When I spoke to staff about it they just brushed it off with an ‘explanation’.

It was a quiet and beautiful place in the heart of the city center. The staff was very helpful and sweet. We also enjoyed breakfast. There were available both Indian and more European options there. Very convenient to have a restaurant at the same building. We are happy that we chose this hotel as a place to stay for our trip in Udaipur.

We had an amazing time at Kotra Haveli! The place is just beautiful and so well-kept. The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere was warm and perfect for families. And the food was really tasty! Everything we ate was packed with flavor. It’s one of those places where you feel so comfortable.

Cars can’t reach Kotra Haveli so we took an auto from City Palace

2 minutes walk to the city palace. Amazing service and staff. Loved the charm and character of the hotel. Wonderful breakfast and dinner! Can't wait to return and would totally recommend.
