We loved everything. We’ve still got three more weeks to go in Sri Lanka, but I dare say that, in the end, we’ll remember Saffron Robes Living as the best hotel we stayed in. Perfect.

L’ambiance des parties communes peut laisser songeur, suite aux choix de décorations, ambiance un peu morbide pour être honnête. Un léger sentiment que les employés brassent de l’air, rendant le séjour quelque peu oppressant, comme s’il n’avait jamais vu un client.

The property is designed so beautifully.

The only thing I didnt love is the bathroom was not fully enclosed so there was no ac. There was a big hole that looks beautiful with the trees but it gets really hot in there when you are trying to get ready

Стильный отель. Буквально в 3 минутах от главной дороги и пляжа с черепахами. Сытные завтраки и все необходимое для проживания. Даже утюг и гладильная доска в номере. Помогли с арендой байка

Dette er andre gangen vi overnatter her. Opplevelsen denne gangen var like positiv som forrige. Overnattingsstedet holder en god standard. Aircondition fungerer utmerket, og vi opplevde ingen problemer med maur på rommet, noe som ellers kan forekomme flere steder på Sri Lanka. Rommet er utstyrt med kjøleskap, og det tilbys daglig rengjøring dersom man ønsker det. Dusjen har godt vanntrykk, og personalet er imøtekommende og opptatt av gjestenes komfort. Rommet samsvarer godt med bildene i beskrivelsen. Frokosten er svært god og anbefales. Beliggenheten er også svært praktisk, med omtrent fem minutters gange til en flott badestrand, og rundt 15 minutter til noen av de beste restaurantene i området. Det finnes i tillegg flere gode alternativer i nærområdet. Alt i alt får man mye for pengene. Det tilbys også klesvask, som utføres raskt og effektivt.

Останавливались на 6 ночей и остались очень довольны. Отель чистый, современный, с красивым дизайном. Никаких насекомых не было, что особенно приятно. Отель находится чуть в глубине и не слышно будочника по утрам. Завтраки вкусные - можно выбрать между английским и ланкийским вариантами. Уборку проводят по запросу, хоть каждый день. Есть пляжные полотенца. На день рождения (по просьбе) принесли на завтрак тортик, спели “happy birthday” Спасибо большое Рекомендую

The host simply canceled our stay before our arrival. No explanation, simply said room is not there. Third time it happens in Sri Lanka (with different excuses: customer sick, app broke down, no explanation, etc). We simply believe that in Sri Lanka they don't honour the reservation with Booking.com, if somebody else is offering a higher price for the room. They don't care and simply text you saying the room is not there anymore. We don't recommend this place.

Rent, nydelig rom, god frokost og så hyggelig personalet. Hotellet er nært både strand og gode caféer/resturanter. Vi likte oss så godt at vi ønsket å være en natt til, dette fikset personalet til oss. Tusen takk for en fantastisk overnatting. Håper å komme tilbake så snart som mulig

Einmalige Unterkunft, die sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet wurde. Es ist spürbar, dass eine Person mit ästhetischen Sinn für die Gestaltung zuständig war und ist. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Vielen Dank für den wunderbaren Aufenthalt!

Wunderschöne moderne Unterkunft, tolles Zimmer und sehr leckeres und frisches Frühstück. Das Personal war außerordentlich freundlich und uns wurde bei allen Anliegen weitergeholfen hat. Wir würden immer wieder kommen!

What a delight of a hotel, just as the photos on booking.com show. The owner is an artist and has designed and painted all the pictures around the hotel. Lovely staff, great breakfast, 5 min walk from beach with turtles and black tipped sharks. Large bedrooms and very comfy beds. Would definately recommend

Замечательный отель. Путешествуя по шри ланке сменила три отеля. Хочется вернуться только сюда. Отель небольшой, тихий, классный интерьер. Есть все необходимое (полотенца, мыльные принадлежности, салфетки для лица). Уборка каждый день по требованию (сотрудники спрашивают нужна ли уборка сегодня). Напор воды отличный!! Для шри ланки уровень обслуживания очень хороший, тактичные сотрудники. До кафе и магазинов 10 мин пешком. Рекомендую

Saffron Robes Living is a lovely place to stay, but the staff are the real highlight. They were extremely friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout our entire stay. Everything was clean, well organized, and very comfortable. We felt very well taken care of and would absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

This was such a cute artsy vibe, loved the aesthetic. Convenient short walk to the beach. We loved the Sri Lankan breakfast.

Этот отель - лучшее, что со мной было за весь отпуск. Камерный, нишевый, бутиковый отель, оформлен с большим вкусом и стилем, попадая в него, хочется говорить шепотом и разглядывать каждый уголок. Персонал очень дружелюбный и отзывчивый, всегда готов помочь. Номер очень чистый и уютный, ванная комната выше всяких похвал, однозначно вернусь сюда снова

La mattina entra parecchia luce in stanza, ma c’è un bollitore per bere un caffè o un tè nel caso si voglia temporeggiare in camera prima della colazione vera e propria al piano di sotto

this place is an exceptional combination of design and a hotel. every detail is thought through design-wise, but also so comfortable for “users”. the manager is a lovely person, told us about the his brother who is the artist and owner of the hotel. breakfast was also amazing. 10/10 stay, no notes

Это самый лучший отель, насиная от расположегия( цент туристической улицы, 5 минут до пляжа и при этом вдали от шумной улицы) Завтраки на высоте. Меня впечатлил напор воды тропического душа в душевой)). На Шри с этим пробоема. Я себя чувствовала в этом отеле ,как в spa салоне, кругом приятный аромат, тишина, умиротворение. Все детали в номере продуманы до мелочей, т.к хозяин дизайнер. Однозначно вернусь в Шри и только сюда. 🥰🥰🥰

Die Zimmer könnten etwas größer sein. Gerade mit viel Gepäck wird es schnell unübersichtlich.

La struttura sembra una galleria d'arte immersa nel verde. La pace, il profumo di incensi e i le opere d'arti presenti, hanno fatto di questo albergo una vera coccola. Ottima la colazione, variegata e freschissima. La camera, seppur non grandissima, ha tutto ciò di cui si può aver bisogno e il design è davvero stato di mio gusto. Ci tornerò sicuramente.

We loved the style of this hotel! All the pictures are from the owner, who is also the artist, which made the place even more special. Hikkaduwa is normally a very touristic hotspot, which we didn’t like that much. But this hotel was just a few corners away from the center, and we could really calm down and enjoy this magnificent, peaceful space. That was very much needed because we had arrived just the day before from Germany and drove through Negombo and Colombo with our rented TukTuk… such a crazy trip! The staff was very friendly and helped us with the TukTuk as well. We could even park right in front of the hotel. A wonderful stay – highly recommended.

Wir wären gerne länger geblieben. Das Hotel ist klasse. Es ist sehr sauber, alles ist hervorragend gepflegt und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das gesamte Team ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten inklusive Frühstück gebucht. Man kann zwischen einem englischen und einem sri-lankischen Frühstück wählen. Beides war sehr gut und reichhaltig. Zum Hotel gehören außerdem ein Café und eine Galerie mit sehr geschmackvollen Souvenirs zu guten Preisen.

Sama Hikkaduwa jest poprostu brzydka. Dużo Rosjan- niepotrafiący się zachować. Plaża dla żółwi przeraklamowana, mnóstwo turystów. Nie warto tu przyjeżdżać - chyba że na jedną noc do hotelu.

Awesome place! We stayed here 3 nights and absolutely loved it! Everything was perfect and cared for by the staff. Place is run by two brothers one of whom is a painter featuring his painting in rooms, hallway and they have a beautiful gallery nearby! Honestly, a very special place ❤️

The place is tucked away and 99% of time very peaceful but every now and then you can hear a train passing so if you’re a sensitive sleeper this may not be enjoyable for you. We didn’t mind and slept well but some might.

We had a really comfortable and pleasant stay at Saffron Robes Living. The location is perfect, very close to the beach, restaurants, and all the main attractions in Hikkaduwa, yet peaceful enough to relax. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well maintained, with all the basic facilities you need for a comfortable stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with anything we needed, which made the experience even better. Overall, this place offers great value for money and is ideal for couples or anyone looking for a calm and convenient stay in Hikkaduwa. Highly recommended, and we would definitely stay here again!

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Der Empfang war herzlich und professionell. Das Zimmer war geräumig, sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Besonders gefallen hat uns das bequeme Bett und das leckere Frühstück mit grosser Auswahl. Die Lage ist zentral, aber dennoch ruhig. Absolut empfehlenswert!

It would have been nice to have better curtains or blinds in the bedrooms as it was very bright at night. I don’t know if this was all rooms or just ours as the building across had a very bright outside light that stayed on 24/7 The Sri Lankan breakfast wasn’t tasty. I wanted to eat the local food but had to switch to English for the second day.

Хочу поделиться восторженными впечатлениями от пребывания в этом отеле! Прежде всего, поразила чистота — везде безупречно, номера убирают, никаких нареканий. Видно, что за порядком следят постоянно. Интерьер произвёл приятное впечатление: интересный современный дизайн, продуманные детали, гармоничная цветовая гамма. Мне в моем номере было находится комфортно. Завтраки — отдельная история! Я заказывал английский завтрак, свежие фрукты, тосты, кофе. Всё очень вкусно и аппетитно. Персонал заслуживает самых тёплых слов: вежливые, внимательные, всегда готовы помочь с любым вопросом. Чувствуешь себя желанным гостем с первой минуты. Локация оказалась удобной: до моря примерно 200 метров, рядом есть кафе, рестораны и магазины. И, что особенно ценно, в отеле царит тишина — никакой городской суеты, можно полноценно отдохнуть и выспаться. Только иногда слышно как проезжают поезда, но это некритично, так как они ходят очень редко. Однозначно рекомендую этот отель тем, кто ценит комфорт, качество, уют и тишину.

I had an amazing stay at Saffron Robes Living! The contemporary design is stunning, and the art throughout the hotel is incredible - loved the lovely prints even in the bathroom! My room was beautiful, with great lighting, a gorgeous bathroom, and a cute balcony. The breakfast was fabulous, and the service was top-notch - the attention to detail was impressive. Loved every moment of my stay, would definitely recommend!

Разве что удаленность от центральной улицы и редко проезжающий поезд. Плюс от места - нет шума тук-туков и людей.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff was amazing, helpful, kind and caring. The room was the most beautiful and comfortable room we’ve slept in during our entire stay in Sri Lanka. The location was just as great. At walking distance from the beach, but far enough from the main road to have some peace and quiet. We also loved the breakfast.

Very artistic hotel, with beautiful paintings and good decoration everywhere. Bed was very confortable and breakfast is amazing. The location is very close to the main beach.

The bathroom is open air, with no protection for the mosquitos. Also the bedroom windows could have more isolation against the mosquitos, because when we turn on the lights they are very active.

Alles wirkt sehr durchdacht, gepflegt und entspricht deutschem Qualitätsniveau – von der Einrichtung bis zur Klimaanlage ist alles auf einem hervorragenden Stand. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die herzliche Gastfreundschaft. Man fühlt sich von Anfang an willkommen und individuell umsorgt. Das Frühstück wird nicht nach Schema F serviert, sondern ganz auf die persönlichen Wünsche abgestimmt – ob frischer Smoothie, Toast oder ein eher traditionelles Frühstück, man wird direkt gefragt und bestens versorgt. Die Lage ist etwas abseits, was sich jedoch keineswegs als Nachteil herausstellt. Im Gegenteil: die Ruhe und das besondere Ambiente machen den Aufenthalt einzigartig. Insgesamt handelt es sich um eine außergewöhnliche Hotelanlage, die durch ihre Kombination aus moderner Ausstattung, individueller Betreuung und liebevollen Details überzeugt. Uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen.

Super netter Empfang und sehr zuvorkommendes Personal, stilvolle Einrichtung, gute Ausstattung - wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an wohlgefühlt. Auch das Frühstück war sehr gut, man kann wahlweise zwischen englischem & sri-lankischen Frühstück wählen. Wir haben im dazugehörigen Shop einiges gekauft, um uns noch lange an dieses schöne Hotel zu erinnern. Die Lage an sich ist gut, sehr nah zum Turtle Beach - anliegende Plätze (rund um das Hotel) sind jedoch teilweise unsauber - dafür ist das Hotel umso sauberer ;-)

Sehr neues und modernes Hotel mit sehr besonderem Style, da der Besitzer auch noch eine Kunstgalerie im Ort besitzt, was man im Hotel merkt. Sehr reichhaltiges und abwechslungsreiches Frühstück, das zur gewünschten Zeit individuell und frisch zubereitet wird. Fußläufig zum Strand mit den Schildkröten und auch zum Ort.

La struttura è curata in ogni dettaglio, molto pulita e caratterizzata da un design particolare e ricercato. Consiglio di visitare anche la galleria, davvero suggestiva. Ottima la colazione, con la possibilità di scegliere tra piatti tipici srilankesi e opzioni all’inglese. La posizione è molto centrale.

L’unico aspetto meno piacevole per me è stato il bagno, dal design aperto: avendo paura degli animali non mi sono sentita del tutto a mio agio.

La cura dei dettagli, i saponi soprattutto. Essere circondato da arte e design è stato molto piacevole.

La stanza era molto bella e rilassante ma non era molto spaziosa e con le valigie aperte si era un po' stretti. Il fatto di non poter avere delle tende scure ha fatto sì che la luce ci svegliasse al mattino prima del previsto. Colazione da migliorare
