Muy mala experiencia. La primera habitación tenía mucha humedad y un techo con agujeros. Pagamos un suplemento para cambiarnos y la nueva habitación tenía una cama rota, sábanas y cortinas sucias, un baño lleno de hormigas, arañas y otros insectos, y además nos quitaron el mando del aire acondicionado para que no pudiéramos usarlo. Quisimos irnos antes de la segunda noche, pero se negaron a devolvernos el dinero. Aunque después nos cambiaron a una habitación mejor, las camas seguían siendo muy incómodas. No lo recomendaríamos.

i didn't opt for b fast but even tea was not available on request. there was no kitchen in hotel. they don't provide any kind of c9mforter

Завтрак был весьма неплох. Расположение у отеля -вообще отличное! Хочется особо отметить персонал отеля- отличные парни, работают с душой! Очень радушные, открытые и улыбчивые!

Had a really good stay at this hostel. Property right on the beach and sitting area outside to relax and watch sunset Everything was kept tidy throughout my stay, some improvement on cleaning of bathrooms Restaurant on-site but sadly not open duty to off season. Overall, comfortable, and well-organized and even gave me a snorkelling mask for the beach, I’d happily stay at again.

It’s so nice and calm palce next to beach and lovely location

We booked 3 rooms at this hotel and had a very disappointing experience. We had an emergency situation and urgently needed hot/boiled water to drink for my brother’s son. We tried calling the staff multiple times, but nobody answered at first. When they finally answered, they told us they couldn’t provide anything and then hung up the phone on us. During an emergency, we expected at least basic support and better customer service. The way this situation was handled was very unprofessional and disappointing. I would not recommend this place based on our experience.

The location is good. Its near turtle beach. Also the price is very low and there is airconditioning.

There are no facilities near the beach on the property (no sunbeds or grass, for example). Unfortunately, our room was dirty (flies and aunts everywhere, even in the bed), the sheets were dirty and there was no mosquito net. Based on the pictures, our expectations were high, but the room is outdated and simple. So for the cheap price it’s fair, but don’t expect too much.

Best location

This beautiful guesthouse with traditional architecture has direct access to the shoreline. It is centrally located just a short walk away from the beach, where turtles are coming close to the shoreline, not far away from good snorkel opportunities and different kinds of restaurants. The last point is important because the guesthouse does not offer dinner - although its name implies something else. The staff was very helpful and kind. Our check-in was quick and easy. Our room was spacious, clean and well maintained. Hot water and wifi were available and reliable. We were even able to rent snorkel equipment from the guesthouse.

The only negative aspect was the noise from the technical facilities of the big hotel next door. They have huge AC running towards the guesthouse which causes a certain noise 24/7.

We liked the place. It is a beach front property.

The kitchen should be clean. Breakfast was not worth for money. However still it is worth staying there due to the price they offer.

Tres bien , super emplacement entre les plages du centre ville et la "Long Beach " le jardin donne directement sur la mer , le personnel est extra et le tarif est vraiment bien par rapport à beaucoup d'autres hotels à Hikkaduwa

peut etre manque t'il quelques chaises dans le jardin ......

Super miejscówka tuż przy samej plaży. Przyjazny i pomocny personel, sprawia że można poczuć się jak w domu. Serdecznie polecam 🙂

La climatisation est peu efficace... matelas peu épais..

I had one of my best experiences in Curry Bowl. The guys are awsome, they helped me with everything ! Isuru and Hansan they helped me first of all to change room because the first one smelled a little bit ( the second room was perfect) with food (cheap and delicious , and big portion), money exchange, find cheap jem stones and jewellery and Sanju with the room cleaning . There's a common kitchen with refrigerator , breakfast, dinning area , no cooking but trust me you dont need it!The location is the best , right on the beach , and exactly next to Turtle beach with a lot of turtles... (please don't touch them cause we give them fungus infections)... snorkeling, diving , surfing. Ang close to the fruit market, the banks , and supermarkets! Thank you guys so much for everything!

Die Lage war super; man hatte einen tollen Blick auf das Meer und die Palmen. Klimaanlage hat sehr gut und schnell funktioniert. Man hatte Möglichkeiten sich draußen aufzuhalten. Preislesitungsverhältnis war im großen und Ganzen gut!

Leider konnte die Badezimmertüre von innen nicht abgeschlossen werden, da das Schloss dafür kaputt ist und die Eingangstür ging ohne extra abschließen immer auf. Das Bettlaken, dass wir bekommen haben hatte leider Flecken (wahrscheinlich Rost), haben aber jedoch direkt neue bekommen! An einem Abend (wir waren zwei Nächte) gab es einen unannehmen starken Uringeruch aus dem Bad. Am zweiten Tag war es weg.

Great location! Turtle beach, coral reef, long beach, everything is nearby. Very pleasant and helpful stuff, especially Isuru my friend ))

Rooms need for repainting

It’s called The Curry Bowl, silly me but we expected to be able to eat a curry (in a bowl or otherwise) but unfortunately the restaurant had been closed so no food apart from the option of fried eggs for the (included) breakfast. We don’t eat eggs but i was impressed when the price of breakfasts were deducted from our final bill. The staff were wonderful young lads who were hard working and always cheery.

Küche und angrenzender Raum wo der Abfall einfach hingeschmissen wurde auf den Boden, sehr ekelig. Ebenfalls der Kühlschrank, den wir benutzen durften war sehr dreckig.Zimmer moderig.

It has a nice wave sound and clean environments with one side road and one side sea beach facilities

Everything, from the home to the host it was a brilliant stay, we were made to feel very welcomed and the breakfast was fantastic, thank you for being so accommodating :)

Nothing, I wish we booked for longer!

L'unica cosa per cui vale la pena stare è la colazione abbondante ed il prezzo. Abbiamo pagato circa 7 euro con la colazione, direi che ottieni ciò che paghi.

Per quel prezzo mi accontento e me lo faccio andare bene. Lati negativi a parte la scarsa pulizia, la serratura della porta rotta tant'è che sono dovuto uscire dalla finestra per chiamare lo staff che tra l'altro non l'ha aggiustata come del resto un po tutto quello che c'è in questa struttura, poca pressione dell'acqua, no lenzuola, no appendini o qualcosa su cui appendere le cose, il resto va bene.

Colonial building right on the beach. You can see turtles from the garden. Staff were great. Facilitates clean but basic. Good position in town.

Amazing location right on Hikkaduwa beach. A couple min walk and you're at the famous spot for swimming with the large sea turtles!

For the price paid, can't really complain. We had working AC and hot water but the accommodations are run down. I know about damage and maintenance for homes by the sea. The hosts seem kind but the property needs better upkeep. The nicest was the exterior. Inside, everything was worn. Smelled damp. Needs fresh coat of paint and some furniture upgrades. Write a short sentence

I loved our room. The twin room was spacious, had tables and racks to organise and hang our things. We had our own front terrace area that looked onto the ocean. Heritage style building which I'm a sucker for even if it's a little run down. Tucked away in the main street next to shops and eateries. We were able to use the kitchen to store foods in the fridge and use basic utensils. Staff were kind and helpful with any requests or information needed.

All was great. The only thing to mention in any and all places I stay - putting a Kettle and 2 cups in a room makes such a difference ! add coffee and tea - perfect !

The room was awful. We booked a superior double with sea view, having stayed there before we were expecting one of the 3 sea facing rooms. What we got was a room at the back of the terrace in the corner.The images on booking.com are misleading. The manager claims booking.com have not updated. As it was only one night we put up with it!

This place has 2 very very big advantages, great staff and great location. The staff of this accommodation should get a raise for bringing the main value to it's customers.

The booking listing shows multiple views from the backyard which is in fact amazing, but it shows also one type of bathroom which does not correspond to the quality of bathroom in "superior" room. The rooms are torn down, dark and pretty dirty. A/C was leaking and walls could benefit from the simple paint job.

Sweet place to stay…right on the beach! Turtles were there…surrounded by tourists! The staff were friendly and kind. Obs not luxury but for a cheap time on the beach very good! Outstanding curry at The Bistro

We loved the close proximity to the beaches. The old worldy charm.of the building. The boys who managed and serviced the rooms were very sweet and helpfull. Sadly Hikkaduwa is monopolised by Russian visitors.

Ah the place just was not clean. The room smelled really mouldy. Like really badly mouldy. The sheets had unrecognisable stains on it already. Just not kept in the best condition, needs some serious deep cleaning.

Rooms are in very very bad condition, walls falling down, furniture in bad condition. We booked the most expensive one, delux room but got a room in a very bad condition. So they need to change our room to get the one with balcony as on the pictures on booking. But anyway we needed to stay one night in very bad room ful of moldy walls. Also the tables for breakfast were not clean, table cloth with holes and dirty...

It was very well located with restaurants outside and the beach in the backyard. The room was also very comfortable. Also have to mention the staff, they were more than helpful and always available.

They could maybe give a little more attention to the details. Like keeping a waste bin in the bathroom and also the room could be cleaned a bit more properly due to the beach sand that would always remain.

Location, Staff and value for money. A true home away from home.
