Great food and friendly staff
Location is a bit out of town but staff and quality of food made up for it.
Loved it
Nothing
Great location, easy access to the main town area, but nice to be a little away from the busier area of town itself. Approximately 20- 30 minute walk, depending how quickly or slowly you walk! Good choice for breakfast each morning, cooked or continental style or bit of both if you like.
I decided to try the vegan brioche roll with vegan cheese and sausage.....I'm not a vegan but I do like to try alternative foods.....very much didnt like the cheese....that's my personal opinion, it may suit others of course
Great stay beautiful views across the bay
Breakfast was excellent and staff very pleasant
Location and staff
Need 2 sets of keys
Quiet and clean
The food
Room has all amenities you could need for a short stay, location is good & atmosphere in the bar & restaurant on a Sunday night was family friendly overall and enjoyable. Dinner & breakfast both delicious, staff coped well considering how busy it was at dinner but early breakfast was very quiet
Could hear the water tank running alot of the time until the bar/restaurant were closed from the main bed in this room, otherwise alot of the nose you'd expect from a busy bar etc was actually pretty well insulated against. TV in the room was extremely slow to load A few more roast potatoes at the restaurant wouldnt go amiss as pictured, was busy so an expected wait for food
Lovely big corner room, bigger and brighter than expected. Good breakfast.
The 2nd room they offered us Lovely sea view A beautiful sunrise 🌅 from our bed The restaurant meal in the evening The breakfast next morning Young staff, all very pleasant and helpful
The 1st room they gave us (furthest from fire door and any exit ... even though we had specified upon booking our wish and need to have a room near a lift or stairs due to our mobility issues) The room had a dormer ceiling and a view of the side of a building very close to the window, it was very unpleasant and claustrophobic The amount of uneven and unsafe steps all through the building Shower in the bath Shower curtain (an outdated and unhygienic arrangement) The hot and cold sink taps were faulty, we brought this to the manager's attention before we left The necessity to demand from us a £100 sterling holding fee on our visa card in case of any damages
Fresh ,tasty, well mannered staff and a wonderful backdrop over looking the harbour
Maybe a small cooler in the room with water or a fan
Cozy place!

Everything else
The breakfast was nice but would expect bigger portions but the location was great atmosphere was great
Room was near the road
Breakfast was beautiful
The food in Harbour house was outstanding as it catered to vegan and gluten free and the staff were very accommodating
There was nothing we didn't like
Location and style were outstanding
Nothing
The pub downstairs has amazing scenery of the coastz drink were also very good including the whiskey! Always easy to find a bad one but not here, staff where amazing from the bed and breakfast to dinners and drinks! They also had live music too which was great!
Great location in town, huge room, lovely view of sea, parking
With the bedroom over a bar, can hear music from downstairs , it was a Saturday night so fair enough but just to be aware when booking. A little expensive for what it is.
Breakfast was fantastic. Staff excellent.
The views were lovely and the location was very nice.the breakfast was very well presented and staff really friendly and lovely.
Nothing
l emplacement personnel à l ecoute
The pub is a nice building with cracking views across the beach and sea from the decking areas. We had breakfast and a lunch in the attached Brew Bar cafe and both were really tasty. Bed was comfy and room quiet .
Lovely location overlooking the sea. Beautiful food .. three of our party of four had the fish pie which they said was the best they had ever had. The terrace restaurant has lovely views. We liked our breakfast being served in the cafe at one side of the hotel as it gave us an opportunity to meet local people.
We realise little can be done to rectify this but whereas the hotel has beautiful views of the sea on one side, it is on a busy road hence a lot of traffic noise. Our bed was a double which was a bit small and we felt there was sufficient space in the room to have a king size.
Staff were brilliant , very attentive and nothing wasn't a problem , food was excellent , atmosphere was great , nice location
Having to pay a security deposit never heard the likes.
Good breakfast - especially the yoghurt with crumbles and red sauce. . Service was swift and helpful. Evening meal was up to scratch too. And the bedroom v comfortable, if with an excess of cushions!
Scrambled egg a bit dry the second day. A glass in the bathroom, and in the bedroom, would have been helpful. Also could I suggest an extra coverlet for the bed in case of cold weather.
Room was good.
Staff were all friendly. Lovely breakfast cafe.
The homely feeling! The Gluten free menu at the Resturant was amazing!
NA
Very accommodating staff despite running with few staff people. Breakfast was very good and served outdoors on a porch overlooking the bay.
Amazing location on the harbour, lovely food in the restaurant.
Had to do a pre Auth of £100 even though I'd paid fully pre my stay which was strange. Breakfast is in a lovely cafe at the end of the building which is great although told it started at 8am by the evening staff and it didn't actually open till 8.30. Not the end of the world but a little annoying
Breakfast and location was great. Views were fantastic.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent dinner.
No lift to bedrooms.
The evening meal was excellent, both evenings, and it was good to be near the fire. The yoghurt with granola and juice at breakfast was delicious. And the service was prompt and helpful. The view from the terrace is fantastic
The television in the room was unworkable. It would have been good to have a glass or two in the bathroom. The scrambled egg at breakfast was rather dry. An extra coverlet on the cold evening would have been good.
The staff and breakfast were exellent
Bedroom was small, the bathroom needs an upgrade. No window to the outside
Lovely staff , friendly and welcoming. It was curry night for our stay .. a bonus Good parking and nice views over the sea
Great location
I think for the money it was overpriced for the size of the room…it was £194 sterling for a budget room which was to much for what we got..
BREAKFAST WAS VERY GOOD, LOCATION FOR US NECT TO SLIEVE DONARD WAS PERFECT
ROOM WAS A BIT SMALL, BED A BIT UNCOMFORTABLE
Minden kíváló volt!
Nem volt olyan!
Loved being close to the sea.
Was beside a very busy road, used by a lot of lorries during the night.
Everything Perfect
Nothing faultless
-
Loved our room it was comfortable and the view across the sea was amazing, the staff were really friendly and attentive, and I was able to get dairy free milk options for my coffee. We also had a lovely complimentary breakfast.
Just abit of noise but it's near other b&bs and has a bar and restaurant downstairs.
Rooms were warm and clean
Breakfast service
Had a fantastic stay at the harbour house Inn beautiful rooms views amazing. I booked it for my mam and dad for a present for mother's day and they absolutely love there stay there. They played a few games at the hotel to raise money for a charity and my dad won a bottle of vodka bonus. They had stayed at another hotel in Newcastle and said they loved this hotel far better its a bit quirky and more homely. The only thing my mam was not loving was the breakfast was not bad but not amazing compared to the rest of the stay.
Breakfast not bad
Mes apsistojom su vaizdu į jūrą 2 suaugę ir 2 vaikai vietos nebuvo labai daug bet uzteko atmosfera smagi maistas puikus pusryčiai maloniai nustebino labai jauki vieta tikrai
Clean,friendly , and excellent location.
Excellent location to explore the Mournes.
All good.
The spot, food was excellent all round ,staff lovely
The bed was very hard
Really comfortable stay in a fablous location. Really enjoyed our stay here staff very friendly and delicious breakfast.
Nothing
The place made you feel extremely welcome because of very friendly staff. The relaxed atmosphere in the bar was lovely with great music. Breakfast the next morning was brilliant with fantastic staff again.
All the staff were welcoming and friendly ….thank you Beth and team….Beth recommended the granite trail mountain walk and the ambience for dinner with a fire and twinkly lights was lovely. Being right on the sea, fab location and the bed was soo comfortable and the shower power was on point. I was made to feel completely at ease. Thank you for the lovely stay.
I can’t think of one thing
View from the room
Bathrooms are dated
Great location, staff were so friendly. Will be back
The staff were very friendly and helpful right from when I arrived until I left. The double room was clean, comfortable and cosy, as well as the shower facilities. The breakfast in the cafe area next door, linked to the Harbour House Inn was warm and friendly with tables that had lovely views out over the sea and the bay. It was only a short walk into Newcastle and it suited my needs perfectly. There was plenty of secure car parking available, and actually a nearby set of stone steps, which the staff informed about, leading up to a lovely hiking route to the top of Slieve Donard I would certainly stay there again and I would recommend the Harbour House Inn to anyone thinking of spending a short break in Newcastle.
I really couldn't fault anything during my stay. I was attending a wedding, so I was looking for somewhere warm and clean to sleep, freshen up and relax between the different days events, in it fitted my needs perfectly. There was plenty of car parking available.
Nice warm room, good breakfast
Very nice place to stay. Friendly staff nice cosy bar/lounge. Comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast highly recommended
Loved everything
Food is Stunning!!

Everything.
Nothing I didn't like
The staff, the man at check in couldn’t have been nicer and made us feel so welcome. The beds were very comfy and lovely food
Nothing
The inn is well located and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Adequate on-site parking, Comfortable (but small) double bed. Good menu choice in the bar.
Our room was cold on arrival. The breakfast was distinctly average and staff here less friendly - the water for making tea in the cafe wasn't boiling. Overall, poor value for money.
It was not quite what we expected, being a combination of small bed and breakfast with restaurant(s) and bar. The young men who greeted us were very helpful and carried our heavy bags up the stairs to our room. The meal that evening in the hotel restaurant was outstanding. We had the mussels for an appetizer and they were prepared using samphire, something new to us and delicious. The main courses were similarly tasty, pretty and well prepared and served.
Nothing they could do about the stairs, but without the 2 employees, we couldn't have gotten our luggage up. Strangely, the next morning there were NO employees anywhere to ask for help with luggage. The bar and restaurant were accessible, but there were no people. (You could have helped yourself to a few drinks!). We ate in the attached breakfast place connected by several halls that we located happily and accidentally. The breakfast came with the room. I finally found someone who brought our bags down. Maybe someone couldn't make it to work that morning?
Location for breakfast was awesome ,super sunny sea views ,granola was beautiful, south side fry was just average.small plate with minimal amount for a fry
All was food was good ,just a bigger fry would have been Better,eg 2 sausages or two eggs ,2 bacon ,or fried pancake ,or white pudding.all fry ingredients were very nice.
Location was great. Access to swimming and a trailhead.
Located right above a bar so a little loud, but not terrible.
The rooms are so beautiful & the staff are so friendly
Nothing!! All was perfect
I was kindly offered an upgrade on arrival to a sea view room, which was nice, large enough room, good vibe in the bar below and pleasant host. Breakfast the next day was lovely and again the staff couldn’t do enough for you. Overall I really enjoyed my stay.
Took a while for the hot water to get going but that wasn’t a major deal.
Food was excellent, staff were very friendly, Location was good.
Room was small for a deluxe
Great location, pleasant staff, very good breakfast
The bathroom lacked holders for toothbrushes, and no plastic cups to rinse after brushing teeth. The shower was temperamental, but eventually the temperature worked.
Lovely relaxing atmosphere loved the sea views and live music staff were welcoming and friendly perfect thank you
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfy and pretty. Everything you need is provided. I ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel, and it was really good. The hotel is quite far from the town centre, but it's worth it because it's really close to the hiking trails. I went on the Granite Trail and Slieve Donard, and the beginning was just a 10-minute walk away.
Nothing.
