Couldn't use our balcony due to cigarette smoke wafting up from the Cafe patio below, train noise (tracks were directly outside our window), very firm mattress)

Walk from car to room and stairs as no lift. But a small price to pay.

The team members were excellent - friendly, always smiling, flexible, accommodating, only too willing to help. Of special mention are Beac, Zimmer, Jessica, Marguerite and Maria. The food was good as well as the serves were large (at times too much for us). The room whilst small had everything we needed - less is more. Perhaps an enhancement could be a kettle and some tea bags in the room, but I’m sure one could just do downstairs and avail yourself of the tea in the restaurant.

Reviewed Sep 17, 2026The hotel is right next to the Lauterbrunnen train station, and the location is perfectly picturesque. The room was cozy and tidy. I should note that the building facade shown in the listing (the wooden chalet) is one of two buildings that has guest rooms. They also have another building right across the street, which they use during the high tourist season. This is where my room was. The hotel also has a restaurant, and the breakfast buffet was quite satisfactory. I would recommend this place as a good value for money in the otherwise expensive Lauterbrunnen valley.

Reviewed Sep 13, 2026We really loved our stay here! The location was fantastic, just a short walk from the train station. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. The receptionist was especially lovely — she personally showed us to our room and even carried our luggage for us. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived.
My only concerns were the flies in the breakfast area. There were quite a lot of them around the food, which wasn’t very pleasant to see. Also, there was no elevator, only stairs, which could be inconvenient for guests with heavy luggage or mobility difficulties.

The guests in the restaurant smokes until 9 pm. Didn’t like the smell of smoking. The trains begin to run from 5:30 in the morning. You can feel and hear the trains running.

Все простенько,с эстетикой прошлых десятилетий, но чисто,уютно, а сама деревушка как из сказки. Отдельное спасибо и отдельная огромная благодарность Маргарет, она изумительная женщина и хороший человек. Завтрак вкусный,много чего есть на выбор. Я провела там прекрасно время

We chose the room called double - annex. There is no explanation what that means. We thought maybe there is a small annex inside the room for a kitchenette or a sofa. Turns out annex is a separate building, not the historic beautiful one. It’s just some room over the supermarket. You can’t even park there for more than 30min, so you have to move your car. It was also inconvenient to walk to breakfast to another building.

A szoba egészen 80as évek hangulatát idézi. Akkora kulcsot kaptunk a szobához, mint amellyel anno nagyanyám hátsó udvarán található tyúkolat nyitotta. Ár-érték tekintetében a legrosszabb szállás, ahol valaha megszálltunk. Ütött - kopott bútorok. Furcsa szag a szobában... A vasút közvetlen közelében. Gyakorlatilag remeg az ágy alattad reggel 5:30kor... A szállás a saját etterme fölött van, így a kajaszag terjeng folyamatosan.

Reviewed Sep 8, 2026Totul a fost neasteptat de placut: un hotel cochet, pe o structura destul de veche, dar cu o camera dubla in care am stat, foarte moderna, curata, aerisita, patul foarte comod, baia foarte practica, peronalul extraordinar de comunicativ, rabdator cu musafirii, mic dejun delicios, mancarea de la restaurant foarte gustoasa. Daca vreti un hotel foarte bun, cand faceti rezervari, aici s a va opriti!
..parca portiile de mancare au fost prea mari!

The staff were very helpful, kind, and friendly, with a great sense of humour. Special thanks to Jesica, who went above and beyond to help us during our stay. We really appreciated her kindness and assistance!
Don’t bring heavy luggage, as there are stairs to the second floor. However, Jesica did a fantastic job helping us carry our heavy luggage up the stairs all by herself. She is an incredibly strong and helpful lady, and we really appreciated her assistance!

Der Preis für den zwar optimalen Parkplatz - CHF 18.00.

Reviewed Sep 2, 2026Private balcony was very nice and location is right next to train station. Free breakfast was very good! Fresh cut fruits and veggies, homemade jams, fresh cut gourmet meats and cheeses, and hot options.
Very touristy town that is not quiet at night. The wooden building is older and creaks, so people walking above us at midnight kept us from getting restful sleep at night. Shared bathrooms were not the most convenient either. Staff had poor online communication.

Reviewed Sep 2, 2026Die sehr nahe Lage zur Bahn nach Mürren ist top. Der nahe gelegene Bahnhof ist für Bahnreisende optimal. Den Zug hörte man bei unserem Zimmer halt sehr gut. Aber der fährt ja nicht die ganze Nacht :-) Frühstück war top. Sehr reichhaltig.

Não havia locker para colocar as malas após o check out. As pessoas costumam deixar no meio do corredor que fica junto ao bar/restaurante. Tive que acordar cedo para conseguir um locker na estação de trem. O banheiro não é privativo.

Das man 5.30 Uhr wach ist, weil die Mitbewohner zur Toilette gehen. Sehr hellhörig die gesamte Etage. Außerdem schwebt durch den kompletten Hotelbereich ein merkwürdiger Geruch.

Reviewed Aug 20, 2026なんと言っても駅前というのは便利です。お陰で始発のブリエンツロートホルン鉄道に乗れました 朝食もお値段の割に充分で急ぐ場合はお弁当にしてもらえます 小さいながらベランダがあって洗濯物を干すことができました 一応対策スプレーを持参してましたがベッドバグはいませんでした コープの上というのも助かりました 混み合う時期に予約が取れてラッキーだったと思います
エレベーターの無い3階でしたが案内してくれた若い女性スタッフが荷物を運んでくれて助かりました スーパーガールでした

Reviewed Aug 11, 2026Centrally located right next to train station and bus stop. Breakfast was great. Room was clean and comfortable. Nice balcony with a beautiful view of the mountains. The room included a fan which was a huge benefit. Food in the restaurant was good.
The noise from the train station, the bus stop, and traffic on the road was loud. To keep the room cool at night the windows and door needed to be kept open and the noise impacted the quality of our sleep. This was predictable and not the hotels fault. The room, bathroom, and shower, were very small.

I had to carry my heavy luggage 2 floors up. It is troublesome for me and a burden because I have an injured ankle. To bring up luggage 2 floors up triggered more pain. It will be helpful if the hotel staff give a helping hand.
