Lokalizacja, mimo że jest położony przy ulicy, to jest blisko jeziora, z widokiem na jezioro. Do centrum jest ok 10-15 min spacerkiem, ładną promenadą, wzdłuż jeziora. Pokój bardzo wygodny (superior), hotel daje kartę na darmowe przejazdy autobusami, co było bardzo przydatne. Dobre połączenie z dworcem kolejowym (ok 15 spacer) i dobra baza wypadowa na Pilatus czy Rigi.

Schönes und angemessen grosses Zimmer. Bequeme Betten. Tolle Aussicht auf die Jungfrau und das Dorf Wengen. Die mehrheitlich älteren Zimmereinrichtungen passen gut zum historischen Gesamtbild des Hotels. Moderne sanitäre Einrichtungen. Schöner Speisesaal und gemütlicher Lobbybereich. Die antiken Einrichtungen geben dem Hotel viel Charme. Der Check In war trotz gleichzeitiger Ankunft mehrer Hotelgäste speditiv und professionell.

The view of location is magnificent.

As Asian, we experienced racism. We are waiting for our food for 1.5 hours. All the other guests that came after us finished eating but we haven’t had our food yet. We just decided to go up in our room.

I think the staff could have been better. Perhaps need managed better to ensure standards. I don’t like staff rolling there eyes when I make a reasonable request

Our room with the mountain view terrace with the view was a delight. We shared the terrace with all of the guests on our level but it was not a problem at all. The location was excellent too. Even though it meant some walking uphill (or downhill), it only took 10 minutes to get into town where there were many restaurant options. The hotel breakfasts were excellent, as were the dinners (one night a buffet). We also loved sitting out in the garden after a walk or hike. We stayed for four days and each day there was a different hike or attraction opportunity, but it was also an excellent place to just relax. Although it is an older historic hotel, it had so much character. The decor resembled art deco which gave a lovely ambiance. Beautiful bar with village view, lovely library and sitting room, beautiful dining areas. Finally, let me say that the staff were all exceptionally helpful and attentive. I highly recommend this hotel.

Two suggestions: 1) more outlets for charging devices (so lamps didn’t need to be unplugged; 2) rotate the music being played in the common areas - the oldies American mix became tiresome after awhile. Maybe some light instrumental or classical?

Un hotel historique qui a gardé tout son charme, où j’ai adoré flâner au son du jazz, si bien servie par le personnel plus qu’accueillant. On s’y sent chez soi!

Karaktervol hotel met een stijlvolle ontvangst. Het hotel is gedateerd, maar dat is juist een plus, het gaat nergens ten kostte van comfort, maar geeft juist een extra beleving. Het ontbijt was prima, het diner was bovengemiddeld goed. Vriendelijk personeel, geven echt een personal touch.

Die Aussicht war toll

Wir mussten unseren Zimmerschlüssel selber aus der Ablage nehmen, da die Rezeption selten besetzt war. Wenn jemand da war, bekamen wir auch mal den falschen Schlüssel. Bei der Anreise wurden wir sogar ein Stockwerk zu hoch geschickt. Heute am Morgen gab es weder Bowls für Müesli, noch Gläser für Saft oder Tassen für Tee. Auf die gekochten Eier habe ich vergeblich gewartet, obwohl da ein Schild stand und gestern waren da auch welche. Insgesamt war alles sehr chaotisch.

Lovely hotel with the carefully maintained charm of the old world. I arrived late late in the evening from a multi day hike and was greeted so warmly that I felt like they had been waiting just for me. Would absolutely recommend!

Ich hatte Einzelzimmer, mit breitem Bett. Sehr schöner und sonniger Balkon mit Aussicht auf Jungfrau. Das hatte ich für diesen Preis nicht erwartet. Das Hotel ist innerhalb von 10 Minuten vom Bahnhof erreichbar. Der Empfang durch Reception war sehr freundlich. Die Beratung für gute Locations für Nachtessen fand ich hilfreich.

Das Türschloss klemmte, und Türe liess sich dadurch schwer schliessen.

Nice building on a quiet street, with decent-sized bedroom and bathroom. The bed was fairly comfortable. It's a short walk to downtown.

Because it's an old building, everything makes noise. The squeaky hardwood floors meant we could hear every step from the room upstairs, and from our neighbors, and the metal key door locks make noise when neighbors enter or leave their rooms. We needed earplugs, and slept poorly. The pillows were uncomfortable.

Das Hotel Falken hat eine sehr gute Lage direkt an der Skipiste. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet. Schönes Hotel im Belle Époque Style.

Hotel historique. On se serait cru au début du siècle. L'ameublement et le décor était quasiment d origine. Le personnel est gentil et à nos soin. Le seul hic.... les chambres ne sont pas bien insonorisées. Le plus est que l'on peut mettre les ski derrière l hôtel et se rendre au remontée mécanique. Et le must est le retour avec les skis derrière l hôtel au ski room. Génial... nous y reviendrons.

La chambre peu insonorisé mais une très belle salle de bain avec un grand bain très moderne.

This is quite possibly the nicest hotel in which I have ever stayed. Ever. Comms with staff regarding booking were polite, efficient, friendly, obliging. Awesome location, with jaw-dropping views. AMAZING. Upon arrival, we were offered a drink, such a warm welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Fantastic customer service. Fresh flowers in the public areas, a nice touch. Comfortable, well-appointed room, with everything thought of.

Let me start by saying this is a historic hotel as stated on the site, alot of old furnishings and quirky meeting room, the bed linen and sheets were clean Our room looked across to the main area into the centre of the little town, visibility was extremely bad in Late sept, mist n very dull, i imagine on sunnier days it would be very pleasant view.

Our room was totally shabby, wall paper filthy worn & torn, bits hanging, the creeks as you moved were extremely difficult & annoying, very dark, yes i know it clearly states its historic but no excuse for the lack of maintenance & repairs , a-lot of room for improvements, our room was next to the lift which made it even more noisy, you can hear everything from the hall area and the bedroom across the hall, so close in fact doors met when open at the same time, also the breakfast was awful, nothing topped up or fresh, the waiting staff all young men were not at all forthcoming, a cup of coffee seemed like hard work to get, no communication what so ever, having said this alot of giggle and conversation just off the dining area where staff seemed to collide

Einzigartiges Hotel in einer atemberaubenden Umgebung. Man fühlt sich zurückversetzt ins 19. Jahrhundert. Räume sind sauber und liebevoll gestaltet. Das Personal sehr freundlich. Am Abend gab es ein leckeres 4 Gang Menü für einen fairen Preis.

When I walked into this hotel, I felt like I was transported back in time to the 1950’s or even beyond that. I loved the furnishings and decor, it was all very charming. The staff were thoroughly professional, always courteous and helpful. I looked forward to breakfast each morning, walking into the elegant dining room area and being greeted with a friendly smile and having a wide array of food to choose from all while listening to French music! I loved my little room (I was traveling solo) up on the 4th floor with a balcony that opened up to the most amazing view of Jungfrau….how impressive! My bed was very comfortable and the necessary updates have been made to the hotel to insure a thoroughly enjoyable, relaxing stay. Thanks to everyone!

I liked everything if anything perhaps that the dining room had recently stopped serving dinner as the summer season was winding down. But I just went to the local coop and got my dinner!

The hotel is full of character and the staff were very helpful and friendly. It was a lovely surprise to have a welcome drink on arrival. Loved the ambiance. Very peaceful

We thoroughly enjoyed our five-night stay at the Historic Falken Hotel in Wengen. The property exudes old-world charm that perfectly complements its picturesque Swiss alpine setting. Our room, located on the third floor, featured an outdoor balcony with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and valleys—truly a highlight of our stay. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always accommodating, which made us feel at home throughout our visit. The included breakfast was a delightful, traditional Swiss-style spread, a perfect start to each day of exploring the region. Overall, we were extremely pleased with our choice of the Historic Falken Hotel. Its charm, location, and hospitality made our stay unforgettable, and we would gladly return on a future trip to Wengen.

Everything! The staff were very friendly and wonderful, the atmosphere was very good and the interior was authentic, the room was cozy and comfortable, there were many pleasant common areas to spend time in, and the outdoor atmosphere was very cozy.

die Lage und die Sauberkeit freundliches Personal

das Bett war sehr klein/das Zimmer generell eng für 2 Personen dass niemand vom Personal (trotz Tourismus) deutsch konnte

Das Hotel hat einen ganz besonderen Charme. Es liegt auf einem Hügel und bietet eine fantastische Aussicht auf die Berge. Die Liegen vor dem Hotel laden förmlich zum Entspannen ein, und man kann den Ausblick in vollen Zügen genießen. Das Gebäude selbst ist voll von Geschichte, mit altem Mobiliar, das dem Hotel eine einzigartige Atmosphäre verleiht. Für Liebhaber historischer Gebäude ist dies ein echtes Highlight. Wenn man moderne Annehmlichkeiten sucht, sollte man jedoch eher woanders suchen. Der alte Lift war ein nostalgisches Erlebnis. Besonders gefallen hat mir der Wintergarten mit dem schönen alten Glas, das beim Frühstück eine angenehme Atmosphäre geschaffen hat. Das Frühstück war lecker und inkludiert, mit ausreichender Auswahl an Speisen. Der Cappuccino war exzellent, und die freundlichen Mitarbeiter haben den Aufenthalt zusätzlich bereichert.

Die gebuchte Suite, in der wir untergebracht waren, war leider ziemlich klein (Zwei Nächte, über 1000 CHF). Aber das größte Problem war das später zugebuchte Bett für 90 CHF pro Nacht. Für diese Zusatzkosten erwarteten wir deutlich mehr Komfort. Das Bett, das als Schlafcouch angeboten wurde, war in einem sehr schlechten Zustand: ungemütlich, mit Hügeln und Unebenheiten in alle Richtungen. Die Person, die darin schlafen musste, fand keine normale Schlafposition und musste schließlich am Fußende schräg liegen, was besonders für den Rücken sehr unangenehm war. Für den Zusatzpreis von 180 CHF für zwei Nächte für diese Schlafcouch ist das wirklich enttäuschend und nicht akzeptabel.

Breakfast was good - plenty of variety for the 4 of us. Location of hotel was stunning with views of town & mountains. Decor was dated but with Falken being a historic hotel we felt it added to its charm. Staff at hotel were very kind.
