Que le personnel ne sache quasiment pas le français. L'anglais et l'allemand bien sûr sont rois... Le prix (936 fr. pour deux nuits) surfait. Mais je n'avais pas d'autre date libre. Alors... J'ai envoyé deux courriels (en français) qui n'ont pas reçu de réponse.

Great location and stunning views if you book a room overlooking the Lauterbrunnen Valley.

The hotel is pricey, but I assume this is fairly standard for a hotel of a similar level in Wengen. For a 4-star hotel, I would have expected a little more from the breakfast. Don’t get me wrong—it wasn’t bad, but it was still rather simple, with good-quality yet somewhat limited choices. A few things are worth keeping in mind: although breakfast starts at 7:30 AM, the kitchen serving eggs doesn’t open until 8:00 AM. This is especially relevant for hikers who want to start their day early. Also, you can’t help yourself to a hot drink; it is served by the staff upon request. This isn’t really a problem—just a different way of serving breakfast than what you might normally expect. Finally, while the building has been renovated, it is still an older property, so the soundproofing isn’t great and you can hear your neighbours. Fortunately, most guests seem to go to bed before 10 PM, presumably so they can make the most of the beautiful surroundings from early morning. 🙂

Excellent location: Wengen has the small resort town feel. Stayed for 2 nights: comfortable beds, nice pillows, linens not scratchy. Shower has very good water volume. Hot tub is decent, sauna was super hot and not crowded. Gym has weights and 3 cardio machines.

Breakfast was disappointing: the 2 mornings we had exactly the same things. Bread was not super fresh, fruits tasted a few days old. Gym was in basement: no view.

Views of the valley were out of a fairytale. Location to the train allowed us to get out and about with ease! Breakfasts were exceptional. Hot tub/Sauna at the end of the day was the cherry on top.

Loved the staff! Views were amazing from our room and the dining area 10 out of 10! Out of all the hotels we stayed at the staff here were the most helpful and friendly. Highly recommend Wengen as a base spot and Hotel Maya Caprice. The food was some of the best food in Switzerland. Loved our nightly soak in the big jacuzzi over looking the valley and mountains.

Our room was a little basic. They should add some wood to the walls like shown in the online pictures. No air conditioning but they gave us a fan which helped a lot.

Great location. Literally steps away from the station and views across the Lauterbrunnen valley and mountains from the restaurant. Staff all very pleasant and helpful. Very nice breakfast. Stayed one night.

We probably had the smallest least vfm room out of the entire property, lower floor right over the railway line and busy footpath. It cost the same as our room at the Bellevue at the other end of town (which was full for our extra night).

We had a wonderful stay at Maya Caprice in Wengen. The view from our room was absolutely fantastic and one of the highlights of our stay. The breakfast was of very good quality, and the other facilities, including the gym and jacuzzi, were also top-notch. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the railway station, which is a big advantage in a car-free town like Wengen. Overall, it was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay, and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

One thing that could have been better was the food we ordered for our 4-year-old son. We specifically asked for white sauce pasta, but what was served was plain pasta without any sauce. Unfortunately, he couldn’t eat it. We hope the hotel can pay a little more attention to such requests, especially when preparing food for young children.

The staff at the Maya Caprice is excellent. We especially appreciated the wonderful staff member (I'm sorry I should've gotten his name) who helped us with our breakfast every morning. He was professional, accommodating and still so friendly that even my shy kid worked up the courage to speak to him on the last morning of our stay! The view was absolutely incredible!

The hotel is located a walk away from the train station. The view from our room was amazing, the room was big and the staff in both the hotel and restaurant were excellent. In addition the spa was splendid and very clean.

We had a wonderful stay! The room was lovely and comfortable, with a beautiful view that made everything even more enjoyable. One of the highlights was having the cute spa almost to ourselves, which made it feel very relaxing and private. The jacuzzi was especially amazing, offering the best unobstructed view. The breakfast was also very nice with many options. On top of that, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. 100% recommended!

Shower water getting out of the shower because of minimal enclosure. Pillows too thin and hard.

Our room has a huge balcony. The view from the balcony is simply heaven! The location!! Yes. This hotel is the nearest to the Wengen station. Alight and walk about 200m slope slight uphill.

Angenehme und zentral gelegene Unterkunft. Zimmer haben eine schöne Aussicht und sind angenehm gross. Bad ist modern und gut eingerichtet.

Grandioser Ausblick, Wellnessbereich klein aber fein, sehr gutes Frühstück, sehr gute Küche, perfekte Lage.

Das Fruehstuecksbuffet und Halbpension im Restaurant waren sehr gut such dier Service diet war ausgezeichnet.

Das Haus ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

L'hôtel se trouve aussi près de la gare qu'on peut l'espérer. La chambre était belle et spacieuse, avec vue sur la vallée. Les plats au restaurant étaient savoureux et le petit-déjeuner varié. Le personnel était particulièrement sympathique.

Es war eine wunderschöne Unterkunft mit super Ambiente…sehr zentral..nahe vom Bahnhof..mitten im Dorf und trotzdem ruhig..mit den Skis kann man direkt zufahren…

The staff are friendly, the view was breathtaking and it is located close to the train station. The spa was terrific after a winter’s day on the mountain. I would stay again.

Room is across the train tracks, too loud and wakes me up when train passes by. Pool/jacuzzi tile edges are rough and sharp, got me scratches from the edges. It’s water too may have too much chlorine. Breakfast can also be improved, at least offer eggs and or omelets.

Close to train station. Unparalleled view!! Good restaurant, wonderful pizza. Enjoyed the patio with the view. Quiet at night.

Bed was a bit too hard for our liking.

La chambre que nous avons occupée était très agréable, avec un bel espace, une literie confortable et des équipements de qualité qui permettent de profiter d’un séjour reposant. L’hôtel bénéficie également d’un emplacement de choix, en plein centre de Wengen, ce qui le rend pratique pour accéder rapidement aux commerces, aux restaurants ainsi qu’aux départs pour les excursions en montagne.

En revanche, notre chambre se trouvait juste à côté des lignes de chemin de fer, ce qui a généré des nuisances sonores régulières et parfois gênantes, surtout en début et en fin de journée. Nous avons aussi été un peu déçus par l’attitude du personnel, qui nous a semblé assez froid et distant, manquant de la convivialité et de la chaleur que l’on apprécie particulièrement dans un séjour à la montagne.

We did like that the staff was very nice and the location right next to the train station is great. Also, the view from the terrace is amazing. We would stay here again if it was another room with mountain view. Hot tub with a view was very nice and perfect temperature.

Beware if you take the budget room and you are a light sleeper. I was aware that I wasn’t taking a mountain view room, but didn’t expect to not sleep well for the 4 nights we were there. You will not sleep, trains come around all night and you can hear them because you will want to leave the windows open because there is no A/C. You can also hear people walking and talking outside your room. The room was not hot though, it was the perfect temperature (we went in September). If you stay here, make sure you take a mountain view room because these are on the other side and I asume you will not hear the train or other noises. Our view were literally the train tracks and people walking uphill (see photo attached).Also, the bathroom would get completely flooded everytime we took a bath because the shower glass was too short. Our room had very poor ilumination, we could barely see during the night and early morning. Breakfast was very basic, and eggs were not served until 8am, so this can cause some inconvenience if people want to go up to the mountains very early.

The views from each room and the dining area are breathtaking. The Spa is sensational. The staff such as Dima, Sanya and Daniel were outstanding and made the stay memorable. A hotel we will certainly return to.
