The hotel was nice and modern. It was clean and comfortable and the staff were really friendly and helpful. It was well located for exploring the Jungfrau region.

I booked a bunk room which was fine, the layout wasn’t great for relaxing in the room as the only seating option was a bunk bed but that’s mainly only me for being cheap and booking that type of room.

Sehr schönes Hotel, super Lage & toller SPA. Massage ist sehr zu empfehlen.

This was our second time in Braunbär and it was as enjoyable as the first one. The hotel is right in the centre of Wengen, right across the road from the minigolf course, 2 min walk from the cable car station and 5 min from the train station. The staff are wonderful throughout the hotel - friendly and welcoming. Our duplex family suite was spacious and quirky and had a gaming arcade which was a big hit with our 11-year-old. Indoor/ outdoor spa area is excellent - with a large swimming pool. And on-site restaurant Goldlöckchen is highly recommended, serving classic Swiss dishes with a twist.

The half board and roominess of the room. Dinner was excellent.

Breakfast selection is a little limited.

The only downside was that the classic twin room was very small with not enough space up even put two suitcases on the floor.

Great location, very central, 4 mins walk from Wengen station on the main street; good views from the balcony; efficient friendly staff at reception; decor is warm and thoughtfully done; you're right in the heart of the action.

The family room is very small for four people if the children are any older than 7 years or so (ours were 20 & 17 !); there's minimal storage space so you end up living out of suitcases; the power sockets are maddeningly recessed so you cannot insert a travel adapter; our bathroom extractor was broken so very steamy & a bit smelly with 4 people using and no exterior window); there is only one lift for the building so you spend ages waiting at busy times and often end up walking - not ideal to the 4th floor; breakfast was reasonable but some things not great that could be better with a little effort EG real rather than powdered scrambled eggs, properly cooked bacon with some crisp, rather than fatty under cooked swimming in liquid.

This was a charming hotel right on the main drag of Wengen. We loved being able to get off the train and walk only a few minutes to our loggings. Our room was small but comfortable. We loved the pool and sauna and breakfast was good as well. We did not get to try the restaurant at the hotel but it is very close to another pasta restaurant that was delicious so food is a win/win no matter what.

Better breakfast spread and some variety in that and rooms could also do with some sound proofing (especially ones on the first floor)

Such a cute stay, the room with a balcony was an added bonus. Probably the best buffet breakfast we had come across on our travels. The spa facilities are beautiful, especially after a day walking

Great location, amazing breakfast buffet, the whole interior design and cosy atmosphere. The staff at the reception was very kind and we truly appreciated that a bed and bowl were prepared for our dog in the room :) Also, the Nuxe shower/bath products are amazing! We also booked a massage at the spa which was amazing!! (The therapists were very lovely).

Guests should be advised upon booking confirmation that Wengen is a car-free area, only reachable by train from Lauterbrunnen (we could've also made our research beforehand obviously). Also, the whole spa area (including the pool and sauna, hammam) should be restricted to adults only as the purpose is to unwind and relax and definitely not having kids running, jumping and screaming around. Lastly, it would be great to have a true double bed in the room instead of two single beds put together.

L'emplacement en plein centre de Wengen. La gentillesse du personnel. La literie très confortable. La piscine réservée aux adultes dès 18h00. Le petit déjeuner extrêmement complet et délicieux.

Rien excepté un peu trop de touristes mais le lieu est si charmant que c'est compréhensible.

Not the person at the desk told they are fighting with management, thats not my issue. I paid for the room pictures u have posted, u mean to say its not necessary to get what I have booked is Fraudulent. Check Out: The HOUSE KEEPING MANAGER, who are you to show your dirty attitude to us????? We were running 40 mins late, but that doesn't give her any authority to misbehave with us, she barges our room and she Literally with her eyes wide open asking us to leave (it was like get the **** out now). I am traveling with my 80 year old mother. You can have basic respect when you guys were playing torrent at the Check in, despite having the room you made my mother and me run from ground floor to 1st floor to Ground Floor to 2nd Floor. Your HOUSE KEEPING MANAGER Is rude, she met us again at the reception and continued giving that dirty look. You guys are in business of service, u guys ate my 40 mins and never felt sorry and I overstayed 40 mins, your staff literally ment Get the **** out.

Great location. Renee and Alexandria at reception were extremely freindly and helpful. Views from room exceptional. Room had all you need.apart from aircon however as you should be out and about most of the day not such an issue. Great breakfast in the attached restaurant and fantastic bar especially the streetside deck.

It was extremely noisy until around 2am every night due to the bar in the same street.

Sauna and steam room were great after a long day of walking. Aperol Spritz’s were some of the best I’ve ever had!

Room was small. Unbelievably expensive for what it was. The balcony was almost as big as the room itself. Poor availability of teas and coffee in the room.

Perfect location. The restaurant downstairs is lovely and the communal areas are really nice. We had interconnecting rooms for us and our kids which I always appreciate.

We had interconnecting rooms and the double, which my husband and I slept in, is literally the smallest bedroom I have ever stayed in. My husband had to turn sideways to walk around it and we had to keep our suitcases on the balcony. For the price it was really too small.

Very close to train station. Very good breakfast. A big community playground is nearby. Front hall has free water station including sparking water; very refreshing in warm days.

Not much to mention.

The hotel’s location is very convenient, just a few minutes’ walk from the train station. The staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and professional. We also enjoyed the restaurant, and the overall quality of furnishings and interiors feels premium. Overall, we appreciated the service, the restaurant, and the convenient location. Our two-night stay was perfectly fine, but for a longer family trip we would probably choose a hotel that is more family-friendly.

However, the hotel did not quite match our expectations based on the photos. In reality, it felt less impressive than we had anticipated. We were also travelling with children and found that the hotel is not particularly family-friendly. For example, children are not allowed in the spa after 6 pm, which significantly limits the time families can enjoy the facilities together. Breakfast was another disappointment for us. While the selection for adults was excellent, there were very few suitable options for young children. Despite this, we still had to pay CHF 20 per child.

my boyfriend is very much so an american in the sense that he needs his ice bucket. i think the ice bucket service could be handled a bit better. thats him though. i could care less.

Spa was excellent , wonderful outdoor sauna and seating area, Breakfast was good however charging for poached eggs or an omelette was not well received.location was 2 minutes walk from the station, and room was fine with a balcony and mountain views.

All other comparable hotels we stayed at offered fresh omelette with no extra charge.Also no prior warning that restaurant was fully booked, a heads up would of been good.

Very nice staff; excellent location; beautiful restaurant, especially the beautiful and yummy breakfast buffet.

Our particular duplex room was disappointing, very different from photos which show it as bright and stylish. Our room was dark and a bit dingy, with threaded carpets on the stairs and little natural light. (We did catch a glimpse of the duplex room opposite ours in the hallway while it was being cleaned and it was much brighter and more cheerful, so obviously we were unlucky with our room assignment…which, by the way, always annoys me, as paying the same price for such different rooms feels a bit unfair—not that this problem is unique to this hotel...) More problematic, however, was how hot it was in the loft area where the beds are. The weather (late June) wasn’t even hot and yet the bedroom was stifling, which made sleeping very difficult. The staff were very kind to send us up a second (!) fan, but really something should be done to improve ventilation if they’re going to rent these particular rooms out in summer. Also, I’m not familiar with Swiss law, but we had a neighbor in the room next door who was chain smoking on their balcony which meant we got to enjoy a near constant stream of second hand smoke wafting into our room… and closing the balcony door was not an option given how hot our room was…🤪

Got to sauna with owners. Super down to earth and excellent facilities. I don’t write reviews ever… but it needed to be said this place is easily the best in Wengen.

Pool hours were too short for my grandson (age 12) so we never got to use it. The gentleman at breakfast courteously went through an elaborate process to make decaf coffee. Why not just get him a Keurig?
