Kamer is jaren 80. Hotel mag wel een update gebruiken. Ontbijt had ik uitgebreider verwacht. Onvriendelijk onthaal. Had geen welkom gevoel bij het inchecken. Erg duur 224 euro per nacht.

Vom Essen im Restaurant hatten wir uns etwas mehr erwartet. Preisniveau schweitztypisch sehr hoch.

The breakfast could be better. I had room right above the hotel entrance and it got really loud at night and day and a lot of cigarettes smell, and I needed the window open for air to come in.

We were there during the heat wave, which are becoming more and more common each summer. The hotel did not have enough fans for each room. Our castle view room was so oppressive. Even with door open and windows open we couldn’t get any cross ventilation. Our 3 nite stay was exhausting because of the lack of a fan. We understand that air con is rare in most of this area, but every place we stayed at during our 30 day visit at least offered a room fan. For the price this was unacceptable and I certainly hope that management invest in the proper number of fans for next season

Zimmer müssten mal renoviert werden, für den Preis habe ich ein modernes Zimmer erwartet. Es war heiss und stickig im Zimmer, nur Balkontüre kann geöffnet werden, das andere Fenster nicht. Klimaanlage gibt es nicht, querlüften nicht möglich.

Reviewed Aug 21, 2026Prachtige ligging aan de haven van Spiez, met goede en snelle service en een prima restaurant. Extra fijn is dat je zo naar het heerlijke verwarmde openluchtzwembad (50 meter) loopt om ’s ochtends baantjes te trekken.
Het ontbijt vonden we wat minder uitgebreid en bijzonder dan verwacht.

Reviewed Aug 16, 2026Das Hotel ist schön gelegen in der Bucht von Spiez. In 2 Min. erreicht man den Hafen für die Linienschiffe auf dem Thunersee. Den Bahnhof erreicht man über einen kurzen Spaziergang (ca. 20 Min.). Unser Familienzimmer im 3. Stock war sauber und geräumig mit zwei Balkonen. Der Aufenthalt im Zimmer war angenehm. Das Essen im Hotel-eigenen Restaurant war sehr gut. Die Auswahl ist gross. Sämtliche Mitarbeitende waren freundlich und hilfsbereit. Bei der Ankunft wurden wir herzlich als Gäste empfangen. Das Frühstück konnte auf der Terrasse, direkt am Bootshafen, eingenommen werden. Dies war sehr schön. Für 10 CHF kann eine Tages-Parkkarte für das naheliegende (50 Meter) Parkaus gekauft werden. Ansonsten werden 2 CHF/Std fällig. ACHTUNG: Erst mit dem Auto vors Hotel fahren und einchecken, dann die Parkkarte erwerben und erst dann ins Parkhaus. Wer zuerst sein Auto parkt bezahlt schon mal 2 CHF, muss mit dem Auto nochmals das Parkhaus verlassen und neu hineinfahren! Auschecken um 12 Uhr als Standard finde ich sehr sympathisch.
Das Frühstücksbuffet war okay, aber nicht ausserordentlich. Die Brötchen sollten besser sein: Eine Sorte war äusserst trocken, die Mehrkornbrötchen sehr kompakt. Eier gibt's mit Aufpreis, ist aber kein explizierter Minuspunkt für die Bewertung. Weiter wurden zwei Käsesorten (Anm. die Üblichen), Salami und ein paar Früchte angeboten. Freunde von Müsli hatten auch eine Auswahl. Es gab Wasser, O-Saft und Milch. Evtl. wären noch zwei weitere Säfte für die Auswahl noch schön, insofern der Saft aus Tetrapacks in die Flaschen umgeleert wurden.

To be completely meticulous, I would mention one minor issue with the shower area: it does not contain the water flow properly, so water tends to spread beyond the designated shower area. Unfortunately, our final day also left a rather unpleasant impression after five nights of an otherwise enjoyable stay. I asked the lady attending our table which item from the lunch menu could be prepared more quickly, as we had a train to catch shortly afterwards. Her response was, verbatim, “All you need to make the order faster.” I explained that we had experienced a delay of around 50 minutes with lunch previously and, on this occasion, would need to pack the lunch to take with us. The gentleman in charge was kind enough to acknowledge the delay and explain that some dishes naturally take longer to prepare, which I found to be a perfectly reasonable explanation. Unfortunately, the lady repeated, “All you need to place the order faster.” The response came across as unnecessarily dismissive and unprofessional, particularly given that we had already stayed for five nights. A simple explanation or a recommendation of the quicker dishes would have been far more appropriate and courteous.

Distance and elevation from the train station. Can get around this by catching the local bus, if it’s an issue.

The rooms are new, modern, and very comfortable we really loved them. The location of the hotel is perfect. We received a large room with a beautiful view of the lake, and the service was very kind and welcoming. It was also a nice touch that guests could take cups and tea from the lobby whenever they wanted. I can definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a high-quality stay with an amazing view. Another great advantage is the free hotel bus to the train station it’s only a 5-minute ride, which made traveling to nearby villages very easy and convenient. For anyone looking for a high-quality hotel with air conditioning without spending a fortune, this hotel is definitely a great choice
Everything was great. I would mention that the breakfast was good, but quite basic and minimalistic. However, none of us left hungry. The hotel also has a restaurant where you can have dinner in the evening.

Reviewed Aug 3, 2026The staff was very sweet, from the cleaners to the reception, to the resturant and breakfast. It felt very quality controlled and that the customers were taken care of including us. We like that we were given seats at the breakfast so that we got a clean and good table! We were also very happy to get the Bus pass and thanks to Vivian at the reception, we got to use it to save some time and money around Thun and Spiez. We would love to come back one day. <3
The bedding(duvet covers) were little too “rough” to the touch which made them very hot during the summer. And the aircon was placed over our heads in bed, which made it little to cold and uncomfortable to use during the night. (We should probably have asked if there were others duvet covers available. The temperatur adjustment on the aircon didn’t seem to do much difference. I tried putting it at 25 degrees which I thought was normal temperature in a room, but after hours of use it was really cold. I also put it at 30 degrees which I would think would be pretty hot. But was still pretty cold after hours of use. Overall lovely stay!

זו ויוי ארנון ואני לקוחת vip שלכם והגעתי למלון עם בעלי שי שהוא ביצע את ההזמנה הפעם. קיבלנו חדר בעליית הגג שלדברי הבחורה בקבלה בדיוק עבר חידוש. נתחיל בזה שלהגיע לשם היה צריך לקחת מעלית לקומה 2 ולטפס קומה במדרגות עם המזוודות ואף אחד לא הציע עזרה. החדר היה ממש קטן, באמבטיה לא היה כלום למעט סבון גוף וידיים, אם רצית לשתות חם המוצרים היו ליד הקבלה וגם כוסות חד פעמיות. לא הייתה מראה בחדר למעט באמבטיה. ארוחת הבוקר הייתה עלובה ומביישת, ביצים, גבינה צהובה 2 סוגים, עגבניות שרי, מלפפונים חתוכים לטבעות, פירות לא של העונה וכשנגמר וביקשתי הבירה הסתכלה על השעון אולי איחרתי בבקשה...לחם ללא גלוטן ביקשתי שהיה יבש ולא נעים, חמאה, ריבות, מיץ תפוזים מקופסא. הצוות בקבלה לא היה נעים, נקרעו לי מכנסי פשתן של זארה בגלל טיקט חד ממתכת בכיסא במרפסת, ירדתי באותו הרגע להראות להם, שלושה ימים לא פנו אלי וכשבאנו ללכת הבחורה בקבלה ניסתה בכל דרך לומר שכנראה עשיתי הכל לקרוע אותם ואפילו בשפת גוף ואז אמרה מה את רוצה 10 פרנק 20 פרנק זה היה מעליב ולא מכבד. המחיר שגבו היה גבוה התמורה לא תואמת בכלל, זה לא החדר שהיינו אמורים לקבל ולמלון הזה לא נחזור, למסעדה במלון שמקבלת ציון 10 נחזור בשמחה. אני בדרך כלל מצלמת את החדר הפעם צילמתי רק את הנוף לצערי.

The private hotel parking was super convenient (extra cost, reasonable), breakfast was good and the room was quite big and well decorated, mini fridge, kettle, A/C). Very convenient also the restaurant with great tables both inside and outside.
Would be nice to have scrambled eggs or a wider variety of fruit for breakfast

Das Zimmer ist sehr klein und ungemütlich. Der Blick war auch nicht der Hit. Preis-Leisungsverhältnis passt nicht zu dem Zimmer. Zu dem überteuerten Zimmer kommen dann noch mal happige Parkgebühren vom Parkhaus.

Reviewed Jul 14, 2026Great waterfront location and outdoor dining, very efficient staff and good food; excellent parking arrangement in nearby parkhaus. Weather was oppressively hot and humid and reception team supplied a fan on request.
We were too hot for comfort in a third floor room. Room coffee/tea making provision was poor.

Reviewed Jul 14, 2026Die Lage des Hotels direkt am See. Die Bademöglichkeiten. Das Essen war einfach super. Und ganz generell: Spiez am See ist ganz einfach toll!!! Es hat uns Vier ganz einfach einmal mehr riesig Spass gemacht. Wir kommen sicher wieder.

15 minutes walk from the Train Station, so with bags, it’s very difficult. Only 1 bus every hour taking directly to the hotel corner. Rude staff at the restaurant…

Reviewed Jun 29, 2026Die Lage ist super, echt, da kann man nicht meckern. Die Grösse des Zimmers wäre auch ok und ein Balkon war auch vorhanden. Lift ist auch vorhanden. Frühstück war ok, vieles vorhanden aber nichts Aussergewöhnliches,
Es war heiss ok, aber ein Zimmer unter dem Dach OHNE Klimagerät bei diesen Temperaturen UNZUMUTBAR wir hatten kaum Luft zum Atmen, wenigstens ein Ventilator wäre schön gewesen.. Kühlschrank war leer, bei diesen Temperaturen hätte man wenigstens Wasser und Eis im Kühlschrank anbieten können. Wasser musste man aus dem Wasserhahn im Bad/WC nehmen. Die Ausstattung ist in die Jahre gekommen und der Teppich ist sowas von unhygienisch.

Manque un bon bircher et des œufs brouillés avec bacon grillé. Sinon top !
