Air con didn't work

The room I was in had no view whatsoever, as the windows were frosted over, and only one could be partially opened, from which one could only see a ledge. It was close to claustrophobic when in the room.

Lo que más me gustó fue la amabilidad y el cariño con que nos trató el personal. Nos ayudaron en todo momento para resolver unas gestiones que necesitábamos hacer. Todo el personal de recepción se portó de maravilla con nosotros. Además tiene unas vistas estupendas y está muy céntrico, lo que te permite ir caminando a muchos sitios interesantes.

I cancelled, or asked to cancel with several days to spare due to a death in the family and was declined.

No utilicé el servicio de desayuno. Pero la cafetería estaba muy bien acondicionada. Todo el personal (recepción, limpieza, cafetería, ...) muy atento y pendiente de ayudarte en la estancia. La habitación era algo justa de tamaño para una estancia de seis días de dos personas. Pero el resto de cosas de la habitación (tv, baño, cafetera,...) y la limpieza las menciono como excepcionales. Muy buena ubicación, cerca de Trafalgar Square. Y el transporte muy bueno: muy cerca la estación de metro de Temple y también próxima la de tren.

No encontré armario ni cajonera en la habitación. Hubiera sido muy útil para organizar nuestra ropa en una estancia de seis días. Aún así, las ventajas y cosas positivas compensaron con creces ese detalle.

Did not have breakfast. The bar was good specially as they are open late for resident. The bar man on duty was really nice friendly and accommodating Short walk to St Paul’s cathedral is a plus

Staff member Kevin was amazing helping me find the place. He even stood outside until I saw him. The staff was very helpful and the view was amazing!

The bunk double bed was very comfortable and cosy especially with the TV. I appreciated the oat milk sachets in the room with the tea and coffee as I am vegan and usually hotels don't provide plant milk.

The air con was great but we wanted to open the windows but we couldn't. Also there was little privacy as the blurred glass wall between the bathroom and bed wasn't blurry enough so you could see each other when usuing the toilet.

The location was good the room was small but had everything I needed as a lone traveller, would have been too small for a couple, but overall I was happy with the experience and would stay again.

Honestly there isn’t anything that was bad I didn’t have a single issue.

A little warm in the room and the air conditioning didn’t seem to cool.

It was in a great location, easy access to the tube and lots of busses and very close to theatre land.

It was during the heat wave and unfortunately the air conditioning was broken. They did give us two fans and apologised and gave us a free breakfast as an apology but it was quite tough to sleep in that heat.

In the rooms without windows (which overall I loved!) it would be great to have lamps to not make the dark to light transition so stark.

The staff were polite and friendly and the location was good and easy to find. Wifi was very good too. I had a windowless room (which I knew) and the aircon was working and strong, but dripped water on the floor all night.

The room is very small and although was 'surface level clean' the shower had thick black mould in each corner and the veneer on the wood was coming away in many places. The bed was absolutely awful - at first I didn't think there was a mattress at all, but its just very thin. I typically like a firm bed, but I've slept on more comfortable floors

I liked the location; the staff were friendly and went above and beyond, which we loved; the rooms were spotless. The cafe downstairs was a bonus. I slept really well, even though i had no place for my sleep apnea machine. Having free water and other items (including ironing facilities available, were a huge plus.

The room was a little cramped, if you were not familiar with the person you were staying with the glass doors on the toilet and shower were awkward. The breakfast for non- egg people was a little disappointing; however, we got to eat something.

La ubicación fantástica, además de tener sitios de desayuno por si no pillas el del hotel cercanos bastante buenos y con vistas a los juzgados que son muy bonitos. La cama me resultó muy cómoda así como los cojines y el personal amable y atento. Habitación pequeña pero para descansar y dormir va bastante bien.

Pues una de las toallas vino bastante sucia cosa que me dio mucho asco. El aire acondiciona también funcionará regular porque soltaba agua y se hacía un charco durante la noche (cosa que avisamos y solucionarán). Por el resto bastante bien.

Séjour d'une nuit très confortable. L'hôtel est idéalement situé, le personnel très aimable et accueillant. Tout était extrêmement propre et accueillant. La chambre était petite mais bien agencée et très confortable. Le seul hic, mais cela n'est pas habituel ni de la faute de l'hôtel, était la panne de la climatisation, il faisait très chaud mais nous avions des ventilateurs à la place, donc la température était gérable. Le petit déjeuner était excellent et bien pourvu.

The beds were very comfortable, and great to have the TV at the end of the bed.

To be honest the family room is not for a family of 4. Especially when there is 2 men that are over 6ft. No room for suitcases. If you wanted to sit dwn , we had to open bathroom door and sit on toilet seat,or sit on d step of d lil stairs going up to d other bunk bed, which is ridiculous. When getting changed , 2 people had to wait outside bedroom door until the other 2 ppl got changed, which was also very tight for the other 2 to get dressed. Couldn't swing a cat in it. And for the toilet and shower, right beside the beds. Even though its meant to be frosted glass, you can still see. Not great when a family is sharing.shower water came out onto floor near the bed, and Aircon was not great, especially in that heat we had in London.I definitely would not recommend this type of room for 4 people, even though its a family room.

Flexibility of staff - when I arrived late at night after a long travel day, I was informed that the AC in the hotel wasn't working but was promptly switched to a different room with a window in order to have some freshness and relief. They also booked a breakfast for the next morning free of charge as an apology. Bed was comfortable, facilities modern and clean, walkable distance to many central things and a short walk to the tube, complimentary water and coffee was provided,

I almost missed the hotel because the sign is tiny, the room (a family room) was also tiny. No way a family of four would have had comfortable space there, I could barely open one suitcase to pull sth out. As I stayed in the room on my own, I had no issues with it but the bathroom is separated by a frosted glass meaning you can see and hear everything in the bathroom when standing outside

The cost of breakfast was not worth the price and it was too basic for the amount paid. The lift was broken on the 1st night we stayed there and they didn't know when it was going to be fixed, luckily we were only on the first floor, if we were any more than i would have had to struggle or ask to change rooms due to difficulties with too many stairs.

The location itself is great and walkable to many things with lots of coffee and breakfast places nearby.

We did not get the room we reserved because it did not have working air conditioning and when we complained to the hotel they threatened to make us just stay elsewhwere. I had to beg them to accomodate us in two separate rooms but neither had good working air conditioning at all. Rooms are extremely tiny as well.

Siamo rimaste molto soddisfatte della struttura , la pulizia e lo staff. Molto disponibili e attenti al cliente! Ci ritorneremo un'altra volta sicuramente, un saluto da Napoli :)

Bed was hard, not firm, hard!! Aircon was noisy..

As an elderly disabled traveller, the ground floor "disable" adapted room was uncluttered, with a generous fully functioning en-suit. I did not find the constant air conditioning intrusive and the room has controls for climate and lighting. Only one stool for seating or the bed, could be cosy ! if accomodating two people but it is setup really for a single wheelchair user to navigate the space safely, with everything within reach. Front reception constantly attended 24hrs with brilliant staff for any issues.

I would have given more "excellent" marks but for a couple of things....... the bed linen was emaculately clean smooth pressed cotton but has some small holes in.. secondly the room had been cleaned to a very high standard, the room has lowered sink and high toilet, safety pull cords but the shower head was left high up on the rail, so out of reach if I had been in a wheelchair. Lastly I had to ask staff to lower the room window blind which seemed to be broken ? and left only half closed. The did assist imediately... these are very small points and location for eating out or the small 24hr cafe were great..

La ubicación es genial para hacer turismo, muy céntrica y bien conectada con transporte público. Habitaciones limpias, camas cómodas y personal amable, nos permitieron dejar las maletas hasta que nos fuimos al aeropuerto.

Room not clean, shower had empty cannisters for soap etc and hair on one of the bottles, carpets throughout the hotel were stained and dirty downstairs, not good.

We had a really good experience at The Z Hotel City on Fleet Street. The hotel was clean, the bed was really comfortable and it’s perfectly located for getting around the area. The manager, Philip, who welcomed us was professional, friendly and approachable from the start. Nothing was a problem and he was happy to answer all of our questions. He had great knowledge of the local area and was really helpful with directions and places nearby. He also showed us around the hotel and made sure we knew where everything we needed was. He’s a great face for the company and made a really good first impression. Great customer service all round.

Extremely bright green light on fire alarm in room so should take eye mask, or be provided with one. Bed wasn’t very comfy and creaked loudly when you moved and you can hear others moving beds creaking as fellow guests move in their beds.

Really engaged, friendly and helpful staff. Very clean room with all that was needed. Location could not have been better. Breakfast service and food choice was excellent. I am coming back here again.

vista l’assenza di un armadio la sconsiglio per soggiorni maggiori alle 2/3 notti, non c’è fisicamente il posto per aprire una valigia, ma per un weekend va più che bene

É um bom quarto para uma noite ou duas, o quarto tem tudo que é preciso para dormir e relaxar um pouco. É um quarto pequeno, então é apenas para dormir mesmo. Localização boa, limpeza boa, atendimento muito bom! Pagamos separado o café da manhã, o que valeu a pena, o café é bom pelo custo, para quem não tem muito tempo para sair e escolher uma boa cafeteria.

The air conditioning was completely broken on one of the hottest days of the year. It was impossible to sleep.

I gave the hotel a great review because when we arrived the aircon was not working it was a 30° no way we could sleep in thar heat. About 9.30 we were ubered to another zhotel and taken care of. They also gave us complimentary breakfast. Great service under difficult circumstances for them thank you

Upgraded to a room with a window, the complimentary selection of beverage sachets. Very clean and perfect for a night out in London. An 11,00am checkout was appreciated too.

Boendet var fräscht och personalen trevliga. Hotellet ligger nära tre stationer, gatan är vacker och promenadmöjligheterna till Themsen och flera kända landmärken gör det till ett bra centralt budgetval. Dubbelsängen var 140cm och kuddarna sköna.

Vi kom fram efter 23 till ett rum där ac:n varit trasig under dagen men inte heller igång när vi kom in. Vi väntade på att rummet skulle svalna. Men inget hände. Fick sedan byta till ett rum som var svalt. Då kunde vi äntligen få sova.

Got a room for couple nights and I have no complaints. It’s a good hotel for what you pay and for the location. You can get anywhere easily from here. The room was quite small but clean and the AC was not working properly, not a big deal considering it was not too hot outside. The staff was kind and helpful. Overall a good experience.

Bathroom was only behind a glass wall (not completly seethrough), so depending who you are travelling with it could be an issue. As a solo traveler I didn't mind it!

The ac facilities were not working in two locations, and we was sent over to Holborn which they assured us to get an ac working in the room. It wasn’t working and the room was extremely tiny, making our stay extremely hot and uncomfortable.they gave us a tiny fan which did nothing.

Non funzionava l'aria condizionata, ma ci hanno fornito un ventilatore. Inizialmente ci era stata assegnata una camera SENZA FINESTRA, abbiamo subito protestato e ci hanno dato una camera con due finestre, una era bloccata, ma l'altra si riusciva ad aprire. Le camere sono molto piccole, da una parte il letto circondato si tre lati dalle pareti (quindi camera profonda due metri al massimo) e a distanza di circa 1 metro e mezzo il bagno. Bagno moderno e funzionale, ma nell'insieme la camera era molto piccola

The hotel was well located and the staff were friendly. The price of the room is very good for central London, it set my expectations as to what the hotel was going to be like. Fortunately, the hotel exceeded my expectations with cleanliness, friendly staff and location.

The aircon was broken in the room that I stayed in, the fan would not have helped much.

No aircon in a windowless room on one of the hottest days of the year For some reason all aircons broke on my floor

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We loved the location, it had very easy bus and underground access to get all over the city within a few minutes walk of the hotel. When the air conditioning in our room didn't work, they moved us to a different room where it did!

The air conditioning didn't work in our first room (the first night) and while they provided fans, it was HOT. They moved us to another room with AC the next night, which helped, though it wasn't very powerful.

The location is great. The rooms are compact but well designed. Exceptional value for money. Quiet despite being in the city centre and great blackout blinds so I could sleep in. They have a 24 hour concierge and cafe/bar and check out isn't until 11 which was appreciated. I highly recommend getting the breakfast (served until 11). It's great value and nice food.

Room was quite small, was fine for 1 person for a night but would be a tight fit for a couple. The lift was out when we stayed so stairs only. Not sure if this is a regular occurrence or just a one off.

Location was very quiet, fairly good spot in the city is you want to do a big loop and end up back at your hotel. 24/7 cafe downstairs which was nice. Staff are helpful and friendly, place is clean, simple, kinda what you expect from a budget hotel. No issues at all. Showers are nice and Hot !

The beds! They were basically a timber frame with a very very thin foam mattress. I dont even think that was an actual mattress. The rooms (despite i paid for the larger one) are tiiiiiiny, very claustrophobic but they do have windows. Other wise for the money you pay (considering how expensive london is) it does the job. You are usually exhausted from walking all day you dont even notice the stiff beds
