Felt bit like a hostel, when arrived no one on reception i had call for details on how to check in i think these should have been sent before arrival if no one was gonna be on reception, there were multiple others outside too wondering what to do !

Reviewed Aug 27, 2026Der Ausblick und die Menschen, die dort gearbeitet haben, waren alle furchtbar nett. Wir würden auf jeden Fall noch mal wiederkommen, wenn wir Schottland erneut besuchen. Auch das Essen war wirklich gut.
Der Preis, den wir bei Booking bezahlt, haben es eindeutig zu hoch. Die Unterkunft war sauber und ordentlich aber das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt meiner Meinung nach nicht was Ausstattung und Komfort angeht.

Reviewed Aug 26, 2026Habitación amplia, eramos 6. 1 cama de matrimonio, 2 camas individuales y 1 litera. El personal es muy amable, con mucha energia positiva. Dentro de la habitación teníamos 2 wc y 1 ducha (todo separado) la habitación de la zona de entrada y baño separado por 1 puerta, así queda más íntimo. La zona común de cocina y comedor es otra sala, q esta toda equipada con ollas, sartenes, platos, cubiertos, vasos, tostadora, cafetera tipo oraley, microondas,.... Muy completo. Hay un restaurante al lado para cenar, muy bueno, con muy buena comida. Todo el personal era muy amable y con mucha alegría. La verdad es q repetiría!!!
Quedarme solo 1 noche, pq hacíamos ruta por la Highlands.

Reviewed Aug 23, 2026Das check in war unkompliziert und das PErsonal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Abendbrot im Restaurant auf dem Gelände war gut und recht preisgünstig.
Die Unterkunft war in der nähe der Hauptstraße nach Fort William gelegen in ländlicher atmosphäre. Das Zimmer war sehr spartanich eingerichtet und das Badezimmer hatte einen gewissen eigengeruch. Wir lagen mit den Köpfen an der Wand zur Eingangstüre, welche uns immer wieder beim schließen aus dem Schlaf riss.

Reviewed Aug 19, 2026L'emplacement à l'écart de Fort Williams et à proximité de Glen Coe. Le restaurant du lodge qui évite d'avoir à ressortir dans un rapport qualité/prix très correct pour l'Ecosse.
La taille de la chambre, minuscule pour 3. L'humidité qui sature tout l'espace sans possibilité d'ouvrir les fenêtres (pas de moustiquaire et quand les midges sont là....). La salle de bain lunaire dont il est impossible de fermer la porte et dont le détecteur de mouvement qui déclenche l'éclairage s'éteint en 1 minute. Ce qui requiert de sortir non-stop de la douche à l'aveugle pour le réactiver...

J'ai payé plus de 300 € pour une chambre de 6 personnes, il n'y avait pas de "vrai" salle de bain (juste 2 toilettes et une douche dans le couloir de la chambre), et la chambre était humide. En fait, les chambres sont situées dans un baraquement en bois.

Reviewed Aug 18, 2026El cuarto de baño se veía algo descuidado, visualmente la ducha no apetecía entrar (con desconchones en los esquinazos que parecían no haberse limpiado a fondo), la luz en uno de ellos se encendía tirando de una cuerda, son habitaciones demasiado sencillas para el precio que cobran. Es un estilo barracón con habitaciones muy juntas y por tanto el pasillo, si tiene salidas muy temprano, es algo ruidoso. Comedor comunitario con nevera comunitaria. Había una opción de desayuno que tenías que contratar el día de antes en el bar/restaurante de al lado. Las opciones eran demasiado copiosas y si no las cogías, no había posibilidad de tomar un café y poco más. No era el estilo de alojamiento que buscábamos, pero fue una noche.

The motion sensor lights in the toilet room turns off to fast. AND in the shower room. Extend timing a bit. The lunches we bought for the next day didn’t have in them what we purchased and didn’t realize until we were on the trail.

Op de foto ziet het er vele malen beter uit dan het is. Het is net kamperen, je slaapt ook in een soort lange stacaravan/keet. De badkamer is klein en in ons geval niet schoon (de douchecabine, het toilet was wel schoon). Eten deed je in een gezamelijke keuken. Het was eerder schoolkamp of een hostel dan iets met 3 sterren. Instructies voor de kamer krijg je per sms en de sleutel zit in de deur dus er is geen receptie oid.

Badezimmer ist sehr klein. Keine Möglichkeit ein Handtuch aufzuhängen und die Badentlüftung funktioniert nicht (Zimmer 11), wodurch man dann eine tropische Luftfeuchte im Schlafzimmer hatte. Bewegungsmelder für das Badlicht, wodurch man regelmäßig im dunklen stand, was in der Dusche mehr als unpraktisch ist. Sehr laut.

Small parking next to the building. Water for a shower needs to be switched on in the room, not in the bathroom - unexpected feature. Entrance door to the room needed to be opened with a power push, should be adjusted.

Reviewed Jul 11, 2026The room itself wasn’t bad at all and was actually very clean. We also had dinner at their restaurant and the food was quite good. Given the Fort William area, the value for money is probably fair enough, even if it felt a little bit expensive
The bathroom definitely needs an upgrade - it felt really old. The sink was honestly tiny and hard to use, and the toilet flush wasn’t working perfectly. It’s a decent place, but the outdated bathroom makes the price tag a bit too high for what it is

But what i loved most about are the staff working there, they are light-hearted, supportive and have a great sense of humor. That makes the whole stay experience wonderful. Would visit again if chances given.

Reviewed Jul 9, 2026Die Unterkunft liegt landschaftlich sehr schön, ideal für kurze Wanderung in der Nähe und als Startpunkt für die Fahrt durch das Glencoe. Die Zimmer im Unterkunftsbau sind einfach, aber sauber. Es gibt eine Gemeinschaftsküche, wo man sich Frühstück machen kann. Das dazugehörige Pub ist sehr nett, Essen war gut. Parkplatz kostenlos vorhanden.
Als wir da waren, wurde leider kein Frühstück angeboten. Man konnte sich in der Küche was machen, aber wir hatten nichts dabei. Es gab aber ein Lunchpaket. Es ist eher eine einfache Unterkunft mit sehr enger Dusche, enge Toilette mit Miniwaschbecken, alte britische Wasserhähne. Das soll aber keine Kritik sein, sondern nur eine Beschreibung. Allerdings fand ich die Preise dafür relativ hoch.

Reviewed Jun 28, 2026Roam West are lodges based rooms and cater for travellers... the bar and meals are excellent as are the staff.. secure parking is brilliant as is the location and there is a kitchen/dining room open to all with as much coffee as you want and facilitaties to cook meals... just remember to do your dishes..in the bar you meet those on an adventure such as yourself so the company can become very acceptable.. very friendly and very inviting... enjoy your stay...I would go again for my third visit I think 😁

We booked a WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE location with Booking . com. This property was not wheelchair accessible. Ben was very help full, he asked what we needed and changed our room to the most accessible he had. Ben also told us that he is not wheelchair accessible and does not advertise as such.

They do have take away breakfast and lunch. Be great if they had made to order hot breakfast.

Reviewed Jun 2, 2026Clean and convenient for overnight- it’s great for hikers and cyclists who need a place to hang out- great community kitchen and a “drying” room. Great value for the price.
Walls are pretty thin but folks went to bed by about 10pm- it’s almost like a dorm room hallway situation- great that each room has an en-suite bathroom.
