Worst experience of my life.

Food was okay, morning staff and reception staff were pleasant

The building was on the verge of falling apart. Fire exit door with massive gap at the bottom allowed in a draft, window in the room was also broken. Room radiator didn't warm up, but staff provided a space heater. Rips in carpet, rusty hinges, whole place was extremely run down and could do with a complete overhaul. Mountain view room didn't have a mountain view.

Het zwembad was aangenaam. De schotels in het restaurant waren lekker en vers, maar niet origineel en prijzig. De kamer was goed uitgerust, maar had enkele herstellingen nodig.

De bedden waren veel te zacht. De kleedkamer van het zwembad was vervallen. Meerdere plaatsen in het hotel kunnen een renovatie gebruiken.

It’s a little dated and tired looking

the staff were fabulous. The cleanliness for the hotel was top notch. We had both dinner and breakfast, the food was good. Dinner menu plenty of choice and good size portions. Breakfast was very good great coice of hot and cold food.

Booking.com should remove this hotel from your listing. It has been allowed to run into disrepair. I would have left if I had other options.

It was not clean as well as being run down.

Comfortable beds and everything was very clean and well-stocked with towels and shower products. Heated pool was nice and quiet during breakfast time, and we loved the hot tub. Handy retail park with Aldi and an M&S cafe nearby

Room was a little small for two people's bags and a suitcase and shower pressure wasn't great. Quite far out of the centre compared to other accommodation but the price does reflect that and taxi services in the town are fast and reliable

It was clean, good facilities and evening meals were good value for money

It is run down, although spotless and needs money spent on it to bring it up to standard, it is also very expensive for an old hotel

It was handy for the downhill mountain biking racing which was the purpose of our visit. The bar meal was good value and service quick.

Our room was noisy - over the doorway where people were vaping and at the top of the stairs where other guests separated and said their goodnights. When we asked if we could Move to a quieter room the staff were very unhelpful. The building and spa were very tired looking, the jacuzzi was cold and the floors not as clean as they could be.

The pool and sauna were handy and the food was ok.

The whole place was worn out and tired. In a state of disrepair and very much unloved. Paint flaking from the walls, showers hanging out the tiles in leisure area and patches all over the ceilings to name a few. The price paid for such low quality is greedy and borderline stealing. Staff had little to no enthusiasm and were close to rude in their manner.

Leisure facilities. There were only 2 others there.

Food. Worst risotto ever!. So I declined breakfast.

The location is fantastic if you are planning on walking ben nevis as its a 5 minute drive from the visitor centre.

The hotel is nothing like its photos they must of been taken 10/15 years ago and it looks like there's been very little maintenance done since. Parts of the hotel are almost derelict, the corridor to the Spa being one of the worst. As for the spa I can't really comment on that as the corridor and the black mold on the doors to it put me off entirely. The room i stayed in had damp patches in the corners and was generally very tired and worn the bed was large as it was 2 single beds pushed together and unfortunately it wasn't comfortable (way to soft and lumpy for me) The TV had a manual in door aerial that you have to play with to get a signal. This is a one star at best hotel that is posing as a luxury spa hotel.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel agreed that we could drop off our van and park a few days before the start of our walk. Swimming pool was lovely, as was the steam room and sauna. Good breakfast. Great mixed of cooked food and fruit/yogurt as well as continental breakfast items. Bar included a good menu of food including a dedicated vegan menu. Selection of beers was ok (not great). Bedroom and bathroom was clean and tidy. Room 33 had been renovated relatively recently; strangely shower knob was missing.

Building has suffered some water leaks and generally is a little tired. Hope they are able to complete the renovations. Be nice if the gym had a couple of yoga mats.

Établissement qui semble avoir mal vieilli. Murs décrépis, moquette dans la chambre abîmée et tout juste propre. Une seule lampe de chevet pour deux. Trop cher par rapport à la qualité bien médiocre.

Dinner was ok

Beds were so bad we had to be moved, ended up in a room way worse than we paid for. no offer of compensation. whole thing was way over priced. Not a good stay

Bar meal was pricy and quality of food so so. Small portions. Broken floor boards in bedroom.

Booking .comaccepted my booking and on the day of my arrival I was told by the hotel there was no availability.

Comfy bed and clean room/property. Great spa and good food. Friendly staff.

Shower was lukewarm when we checked in.

The breakfast was amazing! The hot tub was nice and hot, as was the steam room. The pool is so warm!!! It was perfect. The pillows were perfect. The staff was amazing, friendly, responsive. The wifi worked well. Bar staff was nice, gave me a glass of ice and opened my beer for me that I'd brought. Didn't hassle me about bringing my own in. The lounge area to sit is very nice which is necessary because the room is small.

The hotel is very run down. The name on the front of the building is missing the "B" . . . that was our 1st indicator .. . The place could benefit from a good power washing. the carpets on the stairs are ripped and taped together. They didn't even try to match the color of the carpet, just bright yelllow tape on brown carpet. the woodwork is all a mess. missing tiles in the bathroom. Dirty dishes at breakfast. I could feel the springs in my mattress. :(

The hotel was very run down & a damp musty smell in the bedroom. Paintwork & carpets had seen better days. Would never put this hotel as a 3 star.

The room was lovely and spacious with a beautiful view. Really cosy and clean. With full access to the leisure centre. Just what you need after a long day of exploring. All the staff we had the pleasure of encountering were great

O hotel está todo a necessitar de renovação ao nível das paredes e carpetes. A zona de lazer com piscina, jacuzzi e sauna está mal conservada. Necessita renovação e limpeza. Os aquecedores de parede não estavam ligados nem durante a noite.

L'hotel è molto grande, così come le stanze. È presente un ristorante, bar ed anche un'area benessere. Nella stanza vi era tutto l'occorrente per una frugale colazione

Si ha l'impressione di un lustro ormai svanito da tempo. La struttura sarebbe completamente da ristrutturare, la moquette da cambiare, anche l'area benessere non regala una sensazione piacevole. Sembra che la manutenzione sia assente e, laddove presente, del tutto sommaria.

A little repair was needed around the property, the outdoor hotel signs, the broken boarded up window, the leisure centre shower curtain was rusted, and the shampoo and conditioner bottles were dirty.

I would like to share my sincere recommendation for this place. I have to admit that, at first, I was a little worried about what to expect after seeing some of the negative reviews on Google. However, I have to say that our stay here was wonderful. The facilities are comfortable and clean, with a lovely Scottish style. The bathroom was perfect, and everything was well maintained. Regarding the dampness shown in some of the photos from other reviews, we found that this was mainly in the pool area, which is currently undergoing repairs. We constantly saw staff checking the area and making improvements, so it definitely did not feel neglected. Honestly, given the local climate and the fact that it is a pool area, some moisture is completely understandable. We also tried the hotel’s food, and it was excellent! Everything was delicious and came in a generous portion. We had the meat lasagna, and it was absolutely wonderful. The price of our stay was very reasonable considering what we received. The staff were very kind and welcoming, and my husband and I received excellent service throughout our stay. Overall, we had a lovely experience and would definitely recommend this hotel to others!

Preis-Leistung, Zimmermöblierung und generell das Hotel hat seine besten Tage lange hinter sich. Extrem ringhörig im Innern, sowie im Aussen. Schlechtes Zimmerklima, weil sich Fenster kaum öffnen lassen.

Staff were exceptional and very friendly. Food in the hotel was very good, had breakfast and evening meal on both days. Bed was very comfortable although room was very hot.

Fabric of the building was very tired and badly in need of an upgrade. Carpets on the main stair was badly worn and excessively worn areas covered by tape. There was also a very unpleasant smell in the corridor leading to my room.

This hotel feels tired and is close to being decrepit. Basic maintenance appears to have been neglected: signage had fallen down, there were holes in the carpets, and the poorly fitted windows provided very little sound insulation. The service was equally disappointing. Staff seemed inadequately trained and, in some cases, were simply rude. The advertised “continental breakfast” was particularly underwhelming and did not meet even modest expectations. Overall, it is a sad situation: the property may once have had potential, but it now feels neglected and poorly managed.

The staff is exceptionally nice and kind. Food is good. The facility is tired, not so attractive, but still relatively comfy. The pool was nice to have; overall, it's a bit tired, but the pool and jacuzzi are still nice. The important things are clean and comfortable; the facility is huge, though, so cracks and shabby bits are beyond the reach of day-to-day cleaners.

The room is basic, but large and the beds are comfy. It is close to the main road, so not very quiet.

It is on a good location with much parking. The bar staff were fantastic and the food portions were good and tasted nice.

The staff at the front desk were blunt and appeared inconvenienced by us being there we were brushed off very quickly. The room was very small and lacked any true nice touches when you're paying £160 a night. Many items were broken or poorly cleaned. There were no toiletries available and frankly it just isn't worth the money.

The location was very central and easy to get to, our room was fantastic, spacious and comfy! The facilities were good, we used the pool area and that was lovely. Breakfast was great and situated in a huge room with lots of food options!

There were a few things broken in our bathroom but nothing major (eg broken door hook for towels, metal popping off the shower, and couldnt find a way to turn the towel rack on), The value for money wasnt the best. Understandably the location and leisure centre put the price up but for our stay it felt a little high priced.

The state of the building and my room shows no investment and low maintenance of the place.

The pool was excellent, and the rooms were comfortable. However, some of the in-room facilities were not functioning properly. For example, the TV in our room was not working. In addition, the room was located quite far from the main parking area, which meant a long walk if we were unable to find a parking space nearby. Overall, while the accommodation was good, improvements to the room facilities and parking convenience would enhance the guest experience.

The property appears to be quite old and would benefit from some maintenance and refurbishment. Additionally, all equipment and appliances should be in proper working condition. The information provided stated that any issues should be reported by calling a contact number; however, there was no landline phone available in the property to do so.

Extremely tired and run down hotel. Very poor sound isolation between rooms. Bedding very poor. Bathroom large but very dated. Very difficult to regulate the temperature of the over bath shower, and the bath does not drain properly when the shower is in use. Very cheap shower gel.

Everything was just ‘beyond its useful life’. Strange to be in a hotel where the door does not lock unless you actively use the key. If going for breakfast you cannot simply close the door as you leave. You have to actively lock it.

Tiene piscina y zona de spa totalmente gratuitas. Aunque las instalaciones son un poco antiguas, funcionan bien y ofrecen un buen servicio. Viene bien si estás de paso, para relajarte durante el camino y reponer fuerzas para continuar. También hay un hall, bar y restaurante bastante agradables.

El colchón era un poco incómodo para mi gusto.

No hot water. TV didn't work. Wifi didn't work. Complained, but to no avail. Expensive at the price. Very worn decor. No hot water was very poor though.

The location for climbing Ben Nevis was very good, the bar food was reasonable.

Hotel is very run down, shower is only hot intermittently and sometimes not at all, the water pressure was not sufficient to wash my long hair. The main restaurant was closed. Carpet in communal areas was threadbare, there was an unpleasant musty smell. This was for the same cost as a room in London!

The pool itself was good, but the changing room was cramped and lacked private changing cubicles. It was also rather tired and in poor condition and would benefit greatly from refurbishment.

The hotel is tired-looking and slightly run-down. Some of the furniture was worn and stained, and the paint was peeling in places. That said, my room was clean and had everything I needed for a short overnight work stay. For a weekend break in the Highlands, however, I would probably choose somewhere more modern. I hope an investor comes along and breathes new life into this grand old hotel - the potential is there for it to become a true jewel of the Highlands.

Infrastruktur ist alt. Zugute halten muss man den Inhabern, dass das nötigste investiert wird und dass es vermutlich auch nicht einfach ist, in einer kurzen Hauptsaison das nötige Geld zu erwirtschaften.
