Perfect location and decent breakfat. Friendly staff. Room size ok with en-suite bathroom and shower.
Could have been cleaned better - high level cobwebs and dust at skirting boards. Mattress and room a bit tired.
Lovely, traditional building with large carpark. Central location within walking distance of Bicester Village and Bicester Railway Station. Exceptionally clean with crisp, white, cotton sheets on a very comfortable bed. Extremely pleasant staff who couldn’t do enough for me.
Shower a little small and dated but it didn’t bother me as I’m not a large person.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel had a cosy feel to it.
Room was clean and tidy, entertainment on the night was very good.
Nothing
The location of the hotel was the best thing about it as some of our friends were travelling by train and it is an easy 10 minute walk from the Bicester Village Station. There were 3 or 4 decent restaurants nearby including a Pizza Express. The younger staff and the owner were charming.
Even on a Sunday, the breakfast ends at 9.30am on the dot. We arrived at 9am and were treated as if we were a bother. The waitress took exception to my asking whether the eggs were British Lion stamped even though the problem with eggs is well publicised and advice is to check. The poached eggs were inedible as undercooked. The whole hotel is very tired and a bit grubby in places.
It has a large car park and is centrally located.
There is no signage from the car park to reception. Upon arrival, the reception was unattended and I had to try and find a staff member. It is very old fashioned with a paper sign in book. The hotel looks like it was last decorated in the 1970’s. It is very tired and has a confusing layout with a strange atmosphere. The bedroom was large. The bed extremely soft and the television did not work. The bathroom was basic and old fashioned with tiles hanging off. I could not find breakfast in the morning and wandered around trying to find a staff member. I eventually found the kitchen and was directed to a dark room in the middle of the building. Breakfast was disorganised and extremely basic. The buffet was lacking and limited. I had to ask three times for a cup of tea.
Perfect location for Bicester village and motorway. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Staff
No biscuits 😪
We loved the staff, very friendly
Mattress a little soft
Very central Beds amazing Room spacious Staff lovely
I think it could do with a bit of a refresh on the paintwork in area
La sympathie du personnel La localisation proche de Blenheim Le parking au pied de l'hôtel La restauration excellente
A very accommodating owner. Helpful, polite and engaging Good staff
Nothing
Staff were great, rear garden is a beautiful spot. Good homemade pie.
Bed slightly uncomfortable, Needs some serious tlc. However this is a super old building and understand that to update it would be a huge cost.
it is an older hotel so you have to accept it is a little bit dated. I booked an older hotel and that is what I got. However it was superb. My bed was comfy, the sheets were clean. Nice size room. The two things that really stood out at the hotel though was the staff and the food. We had an evening meal and it was lovely. I enjoyed every mouthful. All the staff were so friendly and helpful I genuinely could not fault them. I run a business so I know the importance of staff and their effect on customers. All the staff I met were a credit to the hotel and its owner.
My bedroom floor creaked really loud everytime I moved. However as I said earlier it is an older hotel, I knew this when booking and creaky floorboards go with the territory.
Clean and good size room. It's old and ready for a renovation. Breakfast was good and staff friendly. It was a convenient location for us.
Room was hot from the recent summer temperatures, and it was almost impossible to cool it down. Fans were provided.
I loved the location of the hotel, the food was great and the room very comfortable. The waitress in the dining room was very friendly and accommodating. Michael the proprietor was amazing very helpful. My sister and I and granddaughter had a wonderful time. Will definitely come back if we come to Bicester again.
Very friendly staff
It is a traditional hotel with delightful friendly helpful staff. Loved that it is family run.
A little old fashioned but added to the charm
Perfect location if one wants to see Bicester village but also for access to the lovely original old town. Friendly staff and nice, clean room. If it is very hot outside please observe that there is no aircondition, but on the north side no problem. Enjoyed every minute of my stay.
Fijne kamer en badkamer. Prima eten. Goede parkeerplaats.
Viehättävä vanhanajan henkinen hotelli. Erinomainen sijainti ja hyvät/turvalliset jalkakäytävät lähellä kaupungin keskustaa. Henkilökunta mukavaa ja asiallista. Jos asiaa paikkakunnalle ,varaan tämän varmasti. Hyvät parkkipaikat.
Old school hotel, in a nice area, with spacious rooms.
No aircon was difficult during a summer stay.
Friendly and helpful staff.Freshly cooked breakfasts.Great parking area and lovely gardens. Nice bar with a good choice of bar meals.
What a find. Just fantastic
Affordable hotel with parking, close to Bicester Motion.
Rooms are old, worn out and in need of renovation. Beds are tired and springs can be felt.
Room was suffocatting.
Friendly staff. Clean comfortable bedroom 2
Uninspiring meals.
Great location for my reason to be in the area, close to town center to walk to shops and restaurants. Hidden car park with plenty of spaces behind the hotel.
My room was great apart from the temperature, room was very hot. No doubt due to the current heatwave, there was a fan in it but it was noisy and didn’t have much effect.
A warm welcome, very helpful showing me to the room. A lively place, full to the brim and a great atmosphere.
Erm...nothing. 5☆ embellishment.
Great staff, old school vibes. Nice location.
No air-conditioning so if you come in the Summer your room may be very warm.
Pretty, Quiet, spacious and VERY neat and clean. Nice bar/eating area. Tea and coffee facilities in room and toiletries in bathroom. TV and even a fan. Lovely location, garden and great spacious car park behind. A range of nice dishes on menu for all dietary requirements… tasty and good value. One night stay for a shopping visit to Bicester Village. Would stay again and longer. Could even walk the distance to shopping village or even further into the lovely village it’s in in other direction that has great shops and restaurants. Really lovely helpful staff. Check in and check out was easy. Just near a lovely church it would be brilliant for weddings/guests. Good value… Can recommend.
Being picky… just observations. It’s a little oldy worldy in decor but not worn away or tatty, just not overly modern. Very homely. Twin room had one bath towel and one hand towel for 2 people. We made do for the night and I’m sure the super helpful staff would give more if we asked. Shower a little weak, not electric, but lovely and warm immediately. Breakfast is very early from 7 to 9 am.
Old fashioned hotel with great staff and a lovely garden!
Although I know the building is old fashioned they really need some items to be updated including the shower.
Room was clean and quiet as long as window was shut. Good parking facilities
The breakfast was poor. Asked for tea and got half a cup of hot water with a teabag in it. Had to ask for toast more than once. Fresh fruit not topped up so a slice of melon and one grape was all that was on offer and we had breakfast a full hour before it finished
Staff
Just a lovely space, owners were warm and welcoming, check in/out straightforward and an absolute bargain compared to some in the area.
Freshly cooked breakfast - excellent
Nothing
Staff friendliness and location. Room was cleaned daily (unlike premier inn)
No air con in worst week of the year. Decor dated and the single room was rather small.
Locatio the gardens were nice the staff helpful and polite
The room was very stuffy and lacked air con we had dinner at the hotel which was very poor igt took over 1 hour from placing our order until we received it whereupon my wife's main proved to be inedible to be fair upon complaining they never charged for it in my opinion the cost at 164 for the night I have stayed in better pre.ier inns for half as much the staff though were very helpful
Room was clean, nice friendly bloke who very quickly checked me, probably quickest check in i've had before! Decent size car park, Breakfast was quick service, quite basic but fine. They provided a fan already in the room, as was very hot with the heat wave. Even though there was a pub/bar, the room was very nice and quiet even with windows open
Very dated hotel in general, shower screen in the single room wouldn't stay shut, nothing which would stop me staying again though. I also had to go find a waitress to check out and was told to just leave key on desk, perhaps could do with a key box? Also mind your head coming down the stair into the reception!
A walking distance from Bicester Village. Lovely and cozy hotel with wonderful staff. We forgot a mobile phone and it was found by their staff and for us to be picked up. Highly recommended.
Nothing whatsoever.
Booked 2 minutes before arrival due to an issue with anothet hotel. The person on reception was very helpful and showed me to the room. Single room, it had everything I needed.
Friendly, close to town centre
The staff were amazing went above and beyond . The location was central . The breakfast was lovely
The room could have been slightly cleaner bit dusty . The bathroom floor the flooring was ripped and we couldn’t shut the bathroom door . We told them but because we was only stopping one night we said it was ok but needed sorting when we left .
Friendly happy staff.
A little dated
An amazing family run hotel with attached bar and restaurant. The restaurant menu was excellent. We had the filet steak and the sea bass. Both cooked to perfection. At 9pm live music started and he performed a great 2 hour set list of hits from the last 10 years. Very fun. It’s the type of property that they owner comes to have a chat during dinner, you end up chatting to the table next to you and you end up feeling like its your own local pub by the end of the evening. The room was large with a comfortable bed and good quality en-suite. Excellent breakfast was included and we explored their beautiful back garden afterwards. Would definitely stay again.
Nothing.
Nice staff, big garden. Nice view and convenient location.
Nah
The gentleman I booked with and who welcomed us when we arrived was very friendly and efficient. Bar was busy and fun, room was spacious and quiet, garden really nice. Lunch and breakfast good. They were very busy with funeral and anniversary dinner when we arrived but dealt with everything efficiently.
Breakfast was genuinely lovely, super tasty full english, well cooked and you could tell had been made by someone that cared. top marks!
I'm ok with slightly old fashioned hotels, I prefer somewhere with a bit of character. if you arent ok with this then I'd find somewhere else
The kind and considerate owner Michael. Large comfortable rooms with good baths and plenty of hot water.
Zeer goede locatie
Ontbijt was niet super
Really good location with ample parking. Lovely garden for the dogs, that were made very welcome.
A little dark in the bedroom, which was a little dated - but we never expect the fancier rooms when pet friendly.
Good location - very close to the center of Bicester and good value.
Extremely dated in the room - felt like something from the early 70s. The room photos on the site are misleading as in hindsight it appears AI has been used to modernise the fittings etc.
Honestly this was a fantastic stay. For the price i got an absolute steal. Breakfast was amazing the staff couldn't do enough and I felt so welcome. I was on my own with 3 dogs and they couldn't be more accommodating. I ate 3 courses in the restaurant and all the food was lovely crab cakes, salmon and lemon cake with a twist for pudding which was my fave. Free parking and a brilliant location also is a bonus.
Nothing really, the hotel was pretty dated but the price reflects this.

All very good 👍
Breakfast was fine. The staff were friendly and helpful. Location was super for our purpose and the property so old and absolutely beautiful.
Sorry to say the coffee was really not good at all.
Great location, every friendly staff. Good choice of breakfast.
Breakfast is really good. They make a proper effort to cook it well. Staff attentive.
Old and broken interior. Tv didn’t work properly.
A little outdated but clean
Sicuramente caratteristico ma molto datato! Struttura e servizio rimasti agli anni 50-60.
Struttura molto datata. Impianti, mobili e decori decisamente obsoleti. La colazione era molto essenziale.
Lovely and characterful English town hotel. Staff were friendly. Food served in the bar in the evening was tasty and plentiful. Overall very clean and tidy. The room was clutter free, bed comfortable and with an outside window a good temperature . Good choice at breakfast which was included in the price.
Lovely place to stay. Breakfast very good
WiFi poor at times
I thought it was very good , waitress forgot to bring me my toast or explain about that you help yourself to coffee & tea I bought out to you , she was very limited in conversation, like saying good morning , saying that it didn’t spoil breakfast. The traditional breakfast was very .
Breakfast was very good , good morning would have been from the waitress & that she explained a bit what was on offer .
It is actually all out of my expectation! All people are nice, patient and kind even including the other guests. As compared with my bad experience in a 4 star hotel in London just the day before, this one is much better! I am an Asia face. I can sense the warm welcome from the hotel. I can also observe that they treat all the guests in same way. Of course you can not compare the hotel room, but for a short stay with many warm smiles, I would rather choose this hotel. By the way, they have a nice garden!
Nothing to complain.
Nothing
Mould on the walls..dirty marks on decor everywhere..we left straight away after seeing the room and booked another place to stay...it was disgusting and shouldn't be advertised on booking.com...rip off

I travelled with my mum and adult daughter. I booked a triple garden room and it was a great size to accommodate us all. The hotel is very welcoming. It is a charming residence and that was the appeal for our stay. We enjoyed the convenient location to shop in both the town and Bicester village. The train station was also ideally located for us to walk to The LIttlebury.
We had no dislikes. The staff were very accommodating.
Friendly helpful staff. Looks to be family owned.
Big space
The fire alarm went off twice during the night each time I got to sleep. I might suggest that unless you can smell burning flesh or at least confirm the the validity of the potential fire before sounding the alarm.
It is s beautiful building and the room we stayed has a lot of space.
The property is a bit rundown. Time slot for breakfast is too short.
Great location for the shopping village and the town. Very friendly staff. Nice bar area. Good breakfast. Lovely garden. Rooms were clean.
Room was a tad cool at night. Mattresses were very very soft(for us).
The staff were very polite and friendly.
Most of the facilities are really old and need to be upgraded. There were also no directions to the rooms.
Good location, parking, big room and very friendly staff
Breakfast options could improve
Lovely and I will come again
This is a lovely family run hotel. It’s friendly and located perfectly to Bicester shopping village and the local town. Great parking facilities, comfortable rooms and a friendly bar with live music on a Saturday evening. We have been staying here in December for many years and love the family feel - it’s home from home.
The situation of the hotel is brilliant, an easy walk into Bicester town centre and only about 12 minutes to Bicester Village with ample parking onsite. The staff are very helpful and concerned with your wellbeing, not something you always find. I only had breakfast which was fine and the service was quick.
The decor and room facilities were, in my case very dated, perhaps last made-over in the 60s? Common areas too could do with a spruce up, staircarpets, decorations etc and modern room locks etc. A few pictures on bare walls etc would make it a bit more inviting rather than just, OK.
Very warm hotel with kind people, seems like this hotel is opening for many years, like the decorations.
The sink in our toilet is a little sutck
It felt very homely. I opted for a single room because I was staying on my own. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Plenty of toiletries, water was hot and the shower was fine. Friendly and helpful staff. The gentleman, who I assume is the owner, was lovely - he even showed me the best way to walk to the outlet village. I had a full English breakfast, it tasted good and was piping hot. I’d not hesitate to stay there again. Thank you.
Nothing.
Good location and parking
Uncomfortable bed, dated rooms, poor water pressure in shower, breakfast was poor. Felt like walking into Crossroads Motel
Great rooms, fantastic staff, lovely service will definitely be staying again 😊
Great family fun hotel which is clean and home from home . Great breakfast included . Location is just by all the restaurants in Littlebury
Friendly staff
Breakfast was OK on 2nd day
Breakfast on first day was overcooked and dry. Coffee pot always empty and not refilled until waitress was asked several times. Same with orange juice in jug. Same with milk. Cereals and fruit very limited and not well presented.
Amazing hotel
