Je conseille à 100% ce bel hôtel niché dans la jungle d'où le départ du trek se fait. En bord de rivière et cascade les chambres sont spacieuses, propres, le restaurant sur place est un pur délice et varié. Toutes l'équipe du personnels est très accueillant, agréable et souriants. Déjà par whatsapp depuis le 1er jour de réservation jusqu'au jour J disponible, réactif et rassurant pour toutes les questions. Vous pouvez vous faire masser directement dans votre chambre par des masseuses très professionnelles, sympathiques, disponibles rapidement, nous ont bien remis en forme pendant le séjour. Ne soyez pas surpris lors de votre arrivée en taxi, des personnes en scooter viennent vous récupérer avec vos valises pour accéder à l'hôtel qui se fait uniquement à pied ou en scooter car ruelle très étroite vous pouvez leur faire confiance.

Lo que más me gustó fue la ubicación en plena selva, la comida y sobretodo el trato personal de Alde, el director del hotel, y del resto del personal, incluidos nuestros guías al trekking de los orangutanes, ya que todos nos hicieron sentir como en familia. Ojalá pudiéramos volver algún día y volver a disfrutar del Jungle Inn.

Alde und sein Team haben uns liebevoll empfangen und uns den Start hier in Indonesien sehr angenehm gemacht. Die Lage direkt neben dem Jungle am Fluss ist wunderschön und sehr erholsam. Über die Unterkunft haben wir ebenfalls Touren und den Flughafentransfer gebucht, was alles einwandfrei geklappt hat. Das Essen war ebenfalls sehr lecker. Besonders der Jungle Tea hat uns geschmeckt. Danke für alles :)

De mooiste ligging van alle hotels in de omgeving. Onze jongens (9,11,14jr) konden vanaf de rond in het water springen. De natuur is echt heel mooi. Het (westers) eten was goed. De eendaagse jungle trekking geregeld via jungle inn en dat was heel goed. Het personeel is super vriendelijk en gezellig.

What a wonderful stay at The Jungle Inn. We are a family of 4 (Mum, Dad and two girls aged 15 and 11) and have left Bukit Lewang with cherished memories. The accommodation and surrounding area was stunning: Aldi and his friendly team always ensured we felt comfortable and safe and had everything we needed during our stay. Nothing was too much. The staff were super kind, helpful and happy. Blade and other staff (a lovely chap with a moustache whose name eludes us) always made time to chat to and play with the children and it made them feel really welcome and included. We loved the chilled vibe in the evenings with the wonderful live music including clapping and singing along to ‘The Jungle Trek Song’ The freshly cooked food and drink made to order was absolutely delicious! We did an amazing overnight jungle trek with two wonderful guides: Zia Rozy and Saidi plus our amazing (and very funny) cook Soleh ❤️ They were so knowledgeable and enabled us to see orang-utans, Thomas Leaf monkeys, black gibbons and many more beautiful jungle creatures. Eating Soleh’s delicious food by candlelight at the camp and then playing a game of cards around the camp fire together was particularly memorable. The girls loved Saidi’s hand made jungle crowns and jungle makeup using the clay from the river. They also delighted in teaching Soleh how to play ‘poo head’ and their humour and fun personalities 😂 We are very sad to have left and hope to return one day. I cannot recommend this place enough. Jungle Inn you have made a long lasting imprint on our hearts ♥️

Goed gelegen aan de voet van de jungle met zicht op waterval, leuke jungle vibe met lekker resto en veel sfeer s’avonds, ook dankzij live band. Vriendelijke behulpzame staff en express laundry wat handig is na jungle trip. Kamers met mooie outdoor douche.

De eerste nacht sliepen we in de waterfall room wat toch veel lawaai gaf s’nachts maar werd nadien ruimschoots gecompenseerd met 2 ruime kamers en 2 outdoor badkamers, was heerlijk om daar te kunnen verfrissen na de jungle tocht.

Für meine Sumatra-Tour hatte ich Anfang Juni zunächst nur eine einzige Nacht gebucht, da ich mir unsicher war, ob es mir dort gefällt. Mein ursprünglicher Plan war, eine dreitägige Dschungeltour (3D/2N) zu machen und danach knapp zwei Wochen weiter durch Sumatra zu reisen. Weit gefehlt: Ich bin die vollen zwei Wochen im Jungle Inn geblieben! Neben der fantastischen Dschungeltour habe ich superschöne Ausflüge in die wunderbare Umgebung unternommen und die Zeit in der traumhaften Natur mit den herzlichen Menschen einfach nur genossen. Die Lage mitten in der Natur ist einmalig, die Ausflüge sind hervorragend organisiert und die Menschen dort machen den Ort zu etwas ganz Besonderem. „Come as a friend, leave as family“ ist hier nicht nur ein Spruch, sondern gelebter Alltag. Am 15.8. fliege ich direkt noch einmal für zwei Wochen hin – das sagt wohl alles!

Super service. Wij kwamen door vertraging met het vliegtuig, zeer laat in de avond aan, maar er werd keurig op ons gewacht en direct de sleutel overhandigd zodat wij eerst konden gaan slapen. Het park is heel mooi aan de rivier gelegen, eten in het restaurant was lekker en iedereen is zeer aardig.

Les guidés étaient très souriants, disponibles et à l’écoute avec les enfants. Nous avons apprécié la prise en charge à l’aéroport de Medan.

Établissement en bord de rivière et de jungle. Chambre assez grande, douche eau chaude à l'extérieur et j'ai eu un peu peur de me retrouver face à des singes macaques turbulents et parfois agressifs, ce qui n'est heureusement pas arrivé. Au retour du trek dans la jungle, j'ai changé de chambre et la SDB était à l'intérieur, ce que je préférais. Accueil cordial avec un thé délicieux (le jungle thé) que je recommande car il est exceptionnel. Possibilité de placer son argent et carte bancaire dans un coffre sécurisé à la réception. J'ai réservé 1 trek 2J/1N chez eux et c'était vraiment super ! Merci Aldi !

Rooms were pretty, but most importantly the staff were really nice and helpful. One of us got sick and helped us get medication as well as an emergency ride back to Medan Hospital. I really appreciate all their help. Food was really nice as well especially the Pollo Salteado!

There was no AC which didn't help my friend in feeling better (only fans available), but we knew that when we booked so I don't hold that against them.

Ja wo soll man anfangen. Die Unterkunft ist wunderschön gelegen am Fluss mitten im Dschungel von bukit Lawang. Wurden von einem super herzlichen und guten Fahrer abgeholt und dann erstmal mit einem kostenlosen Upgrade begrüßt. Das Zimmer war ein absoluter Traum mit direktem Blick von der Terrasse in den Dschungel und Affen am Balkon. Haben über die Unterkunft direkt ein 2Tages Dschungel Trekking organisiert. War zwar etwas teurer aber dafür umso schöner. Hatten mit Ican und Rico zwei ganz wundervolle, herzliche und humorvolle Guides die für alle Fragen zur Verfügung standen und immer gut gelaunt waren. Haben so viele Orang utana und andere Tiere gesehen und die Übernachtung im Dschungel war ein absolutes Erlebnis. Für uns wurde abends gekocht und super liebevoll aufgetischt mit Kerzen direkt am Fluss. Geschmacklich war es wahnsinnig lecker. In der Unterkunft gab's dann noch eine tolle Massage die im Preis inbegriffen war. Auch das Essen in der Unterkunft war ganz toll und preislich angemessen. Abends wurde gemeinsam gesungen was der Unterkunft noch mehr Charme gegeben hat. Es hätte nichts besser sein können. Danke und hoffentlich bis bald mal wieder.

Come as friend, leave as family. Das Motto hier ist daily business. Das Personal ist unglaublich freundlich und offen. Das Essen ist hervorragend und frisch. Die Zimmer sind wunderschön mit einem tollen Blick auf den Fluss und den Dschungel. Das Dschungeltrekking war das Highlight unserer dreiwöchigen Indonesienreise. Es wurde perfekt organisiert und die Guides waren absolute Profis! Top Empfehlung! Die Lage ist zwar sehr abgelegen, 3-4h Fahrt von Medan, aber nur so hat man das totale Dschungelfeeling.

Das Bett war ziemlich hart und es gab leider nur ein "Tuch" als Bettdecke, was bei der Klimaanlage ziemlich kalt war. Aber nichts, was die 10-Sterne-Bewertung oder die Empfehlung hier zu übernachten mindern könnte!

El personal increíble. Nos facilitaron nuestra estancia a todos los niveles. La habitación muy limpia, cómoda y bonita. Tiene unas vistas espectaculares. Se respira mucha paz y tranquilidad, alejado del ruido, solo naturaleza. Especial mención a nuestros guías por la jungla Anton y Rido. Fueron excelentes, nos sentimos muy cómodos y su trabajo hizo que la aventura fuera inolvidable.

Best riverfront patio for food in Bukit Lawang. Great spot to go in the river for a swim. Excellent staff who are friendly and detail oriented. Easy to book tours and rides back to the city. Prices are all overtly stated; no surprises later. Great food in the dining area (both Indonesian and western). Giant glass water dispenser in room with days and days of clean drinking water.

I liked everything. But I imagine some people would not like certain aspects like no AC, ants building homes in the room each night, no daily housekeeping, not much warm water in shower.

Good location for jungle track and realy good service from the employees. We arrived and we got a warm welcome with hot home made jungle tea. Everything was arranged for us, from airport pick up to jungle tour. The room was hot sometimes but with some ventilation its no problem.

One day we woke up with small bugs in our bed. Luckily the staff was so friendly that they changed our sheets immediately. Afterwards we had no problem.

Het hotel ligt prachtig naast de rivier in Bukit Lawang. Bij binnenkomst kregen we direct een welkomstdrankje. De menukaart van het restaurant is erg uitgebreid (ook veel lekkere Westerse opties die je niet snel in Bukit Lawang vindt). Verder was er een heerlijke warme douche. Ook dat is iets wat we erg op prijs stelden aan deze plek.

Jungle Inn feels like home, the staff makes it feel familiar and amazing. Food is great! The location is fabulous in the middle of the jungle and everything is absolutely comfortable. Also the orangutan trekking was a 20/10, it was an amazing experience that I would repeat. The guides Alde and Anto made this time unforgettable.

Its a shame we didn't get to stay longer, our plans changed late meaning we arrived at midnight and checked out first thing in the morning. However, the staff were very accommodating with everything, the place was nice and clean, and it was in a wonderful location!!

Exceptional hospitality. From connecting prior to arrival to the welcome and the facilities provided, extremely persoanlised and tailored to be individualised and warm. Food is excellent, decoration of the food is ultilmate. The local fare is fabulous, loads of fruits and veggies. The BEST place to stay in Bukit Lawang undoubtedly.

Not a single thing was out of place. they think of every small thing to ensure that you have a comfortable and satisfying stay. These guys are the epitome of hospitality. EVery staff member deserves a round of applause.

Everything. From booking until returning to the airport everything was perfect. Very honest and clear communication. Lovely room, perfect location, fantastic staff and honestly some of the best food I have had not only in Indonesia but world wide. Huge shout out to the chief. Do not hesitate to book one of the best places I have stayed. If you are worried about being picked up or dropped off etc just don’t they planned everything. Will definitely be back.

Prachtige ligging, sfeervol en super vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel! Ze kunnen alles voor je regelen voor een prima prijs. Ook de trekking (3d2n) met gidsen Incan en Saidi was geweldig . Incan wist veel, Saidi is heel grappig. Kok Bembeng kookte heerlijk!!!! Een aanrader! Bukit Lawang is leuk dorp voor meerdere dagen!

The friendly staff and the solitude of the jungle! Food variety, taste and cost overall a great vacation!

C'est rare de pouvoir dire que tout a été parfait mais ça a vraiment été le cas sur ce séjour. L'accueil de Alde et son équipe a été fantastique et tout a été fait pour nous rendre l'expérience inoubliable. L'organisation de nos trajets pour arriver et partir, celle d'un trek en jungle avec un binôme au top (merci à Rozi et Riski), la prise en compte de nos demandes pour les repas, la flexibilité sur les horaires, la mise à dispo d'une chambre pour un late checkout et j'en passe, tout a été mis en œuvre avec le sourire. Un grand merci à Noura, Blade, Rosse qui ont été d'une extreme gentillesse et aux petits soins avec notre petite fille de 3 ans. Nous avons même été surclassé à l'initiative d'Alde pour nous rendre le séjour plus confortable. J'ajoute que la nourriture est aussi excellente et quand on sait que Jungle Inn bénéficie clairement du meilleur emplacement du village (pour profiter de la rivière et de la jungle) je ne vois pas comment on pourrait décider d'aller ailleurs 😊

In summary, you should stay here for the location, service, food and rooms. I would need 1000 words to express everything positive about this place. Let's see how far I get. The staff, wonderful. Its ask and you shall receive. They said come as friend leave as family. That's what it felt like. While everyone was great to us, the beautiful girl in the cafe made us great coffee, only my wife competes. Blade was also wonderful, we loved talking with him. He is so attentive and charming. My wife wanted to take him home to Australia with us. Bronte (I may get spelling wrong) in the kitchen, this man is a legend. I am a (self proclaimed) asian food coniseur. His food blew me away, better than what I expect at a 5 star city hotel. Best gulai in Indo, best Soto Ayam and superb rendang. He introduced me to two new dishes (rare to see 1 new dish let alone 2) he cooked Arsik and Semur, both fantastic. I just finished speaking to a Samosir local who confirmed the dish was from here. He said the local Samosir people don't cook it anymore because they scared they will get it wrong. So... there is a dying art. Seriously eat every Indonesian dish on the menu. Bronte could be one of the most talented chefs i have ever met. The rooms are great even if the monkeys jump up and shag on your balcony. The Elon Musk on the roof provides reliable internet (though you could improve the range a litle). The rooms are huge, while we didn't need it they had aircon which we didn't expect. Oh and back to Bronte's food. So good, I volunteered my missus into a cooking class. She started a chefs apprenticeship when she was young and reported that the kitchen was super clean, super well organised and she returned with wonderful meals for us under Brontes direction. Not only will we come back, but we already want to come back. When we do it will be for a couple of weeks not a few days.

I was not happy that I booked so few nights, but I was able to extend. I am not happy that I cannot eat Bronte's food tonight.

One of the best hotels that I ever stayed at location wise, right at the edge of the jungle where you can hear the sounds of the jungle and the river running. Rooms are super spacious, well designed, clean, with big balconies with hammocks, and very comfortable. The hotel restaurant serves some delicious meals as well.

The Wi-Fi in my room was a bit slow, but in the reception area is fairly quick.

Excellent location. Beautiful view of the river and an excellent base for a jungle trek. Very courteous staff and lovely food at the restaurant. They gave me a room to shower after my trek at the end of my stay and I really appreciated that. Excellent communication as well before my stay. They also organized my journey to the hotel from Lake Toba and made my trip there seamless.

A beautiful familiar place, where everybody feels good, the stuff is always friendly, nice and in a good mood and give you the feeling to be a part of their family. The accommodation is unique, the view is amazing, the food super delicious.

I stayed in the honeymoon suite for two nights as a solo traveller and had the most relaxing experience. The food was delicious, the room was beautiful, the location even better. The staff are fantastic and go above and beyond to tailor and personalise your experience and make sure you enjoy yourself. I did a one day jungle trek with them and loved seeing not only orangutang, but other monkeys, birds and reptiles, plus loved rafting back afterwards!

We loved the fact that the staff picked us up on their motorbikes and drove us to the Jungle Inn (what a fun experience). The staff, who were also the tour guides, organised all our needs. They searched high and low until they found orang-utans for us to see on our jungle trek. The food was delicious and the nightly in-house entertainment we loved. The staff here are amazing and showed up each morning with a hugh smile and willingness to assist with anything and everything. Well done Jungle Inn..... we will be back.

Location but it’s getting a bit old

Die Lage der Lodge ist sehr gut. Das Personal war wirklich SUPER. Das Essen im Restaurant war sehr gut, top Preise und sehr gut verträglich.

Das Zimmer hat keine Fenster, das war bei der Buchung nicht ersichtlich. Dementsprechend war es natürlich dunkel im Zimmer. Das Bett und die Möbel haben einen Belag der vermutlich Schimmel ist es riecht auch so im Zimmer. Die Kissen haben widerlich gestunken, musste sie vom Bett weglegen. Das Hotel an sich ist gut, die anderen Zimmer sind wohl besser. Also bei der Buchung lieber nicht das Zimmer ohne Fenster buchen. Klar man ist nur zum schlafen im zimmer weil man tagsüber draußen die Natur genießt, aber es wäre trotzdem schön gewesen abends aus dem Fenster zu schauen oder auf der Terrasse die aussicht zu genießen. Aber man kann ja paar Meter weiter im Restaurant sitzen dort hat man eine schöne Aussicht.

Énormément d’humidité dans la chambre « caverne ». Draps tachés. Nos chambres étaient horribles. Assez cher par rapport aux autres hôtels. Photo un peu trompeuses. Mauvais choix de notre part. Il y a peut être de meilleurs chambres dans l’établissement que ce qu’on a eu.

Szuper kedves es segitokesz a szemelyzet. Segitenek a transzportban, a dzsungel tura szervezeseben ha kell. A konyhajuk, szakacsuk kivalo, csak a legjabbakat lehet mondani rola. Az utolso haz az uton, utana mar csak a dzsungel van, a folyo mellett fekszik. Nyogodt, csendes, gyonyoru.

Tolle Unterkunft, sehr nettes Team. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber, das Essen ist wirklich top. Besonders schöner Aufenthalt.

Het personeel was super behulpzaam, kwam iedere dag even vragen wat onze plannen waren en vertelde wat er voor activiteiten in de omgeving te doen waren zoals bv een lokale markt bezoeken. Erg begaan en gemotiveerd om er een onvergetelijk verblijf van te maken. De ontbijtjes waren weergaloos...

Onze accommodatie lag tegen de waterval, prachtig uitzicht maar je moest moeite doen om elkaar te verstaan op het balkon, haha!

De prachtige ligging, de vriendelijkheid personeel en het heerlijke eten. De flexibiliteit rondom het boeken van een-of meerdaagse trekkingtocht.

De kamer was eenvoudig ingericht maar prima. Aanbeveling voor de accommodatie en ook andere in Bukit Lawang is de verhuur of verkoop speciale rubber jungletochtschoenen met spikes/noppen ter plekke te faciliteren. Normale sportschoenen bieden bij nat weer, wat dit najaar was, onvoldoende grip bij klein in de jungle. Door gasten te informeren en/of verhuur/verkoop schoenen te faciliteren kunnen glijpartijen met (gecompliceerde) botbreuken en noodzakelijke medische ingrepen met enorme nasleep therapie en kosten verzuim van werk en andere ellende voorkomen.

We enjoyed the location, at the end of the village next to the river. The food was good. The room was spacious and we enjoyed the balcony, sometimes it was full of monkeys which was cute. The staff were very kind and helpful. We booked our jungle trek with them and the guides were awesome. Highly recommend the trek with them. They would play music some evenings and that was really great. They take you by motorbike to and from town when you arrive and depart. .

The wifi in the room didn't work well and my husband had to use it in the restaurant most of the time. I felt like the overall cost was a bit high for what we got. I did not like that you had to go down a set of stairs to use the bathroom. The stairs were kind of high and when I got sick one night, it was really inconvenient going back and forth all night. There were tiny ants in the room and some in the head board eating the wood and leaving wood shavings next to my pillow. I get it, it's the jungle and bugs are to be expected but having them next to my head was not a great feeling. The experience of the village and the orangutan trek made it worth it.

Insgesamt ein Super Erlebnis! Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft des Personals und des Managements (Alde). Direkt bei Ankunft wurde uns ohne Nachfrage ein Zimmer-Upgrade angeboten, was sich als absoluter Glücksfall herausstellte. Unser neues Zimmer hatte eine Veranda und einen Balkon, auf dem wir regelmäßig Besuch von freundlichen, neugierigen kleinen Affen (Javaneraffe, Langschwanzmakak ist eine Primatenart aus der Gattung der Makaken) bekamen. Das war einfach unbeschreiblich, super! Wunderbar war auch die über das Hotel organisierte Dschungel Trekking (Tagestour) um wildlebende Orang Utans zu sehen. Dieser Tag war wahnsinnig schön und besonderer Dank gilt hier unseren beiden Guides Rozy und Ridah, die uns ein unvergessliches Erlebnis bescherten. Es war einfach alles hervorragend und wir wären gerne noch zwei oder drei Tage länger geblieben. Das Orang Utan Trekking war der Hammer!

Ubicación junto al río y la jungla. Entorno maravilloso y trato individualizado y cercano. Te facilitan traslados desde aeropuerto y las distintas opciones de trekking. Tuvimos un cambio en nuestro vuelo y se adaptaron sin problemas. Cocina propia con buena comida local.

Estando en plena jungla y con habitaciones y baños abiertos la presencia de insectos y la sensación de falta de limpieza es inevitable. Pero podrían esmerarse algo más en rincones y suciedad acumulada.

El personal super amable....siempre con una sonrisa. Los bungalows a la orilla del río que cruzar el pueblito, muy amplios y bien dotados. Nos tocó el cuarto de baño exterior y era una pasada ducharte con el cielo como techo. . Ofrecen servicios de excursiones

Nada en especial. Quiza podrían ofrecer cervezal en sus instalaciones...pero justo al lado hay un pequeño negocio donde beber con música en directo a veces ( todo muy ' local '). .Dado que es un lugar donde pasar mínimo 3 dias se agradecerían mas excursiones...mas allá de la de orangutanes...por utilizar mas el tiempo alli

Het personeel is super lief en wilt het je echt naar de zin maken. Ze onthouden sinds dag 1 je naam en ze konden mijn zelf gemaakte Spicy rendang ook waarderen ;) De locatie is ook heel fijn, op loopafstand van het centrum en lekker rustig aan de rivier waar je ook heerlijk kunt zwemmen. Koffie is ook top!

De verlichting van de kamers is heel erg wit en vond ik ongezellig. Wellicht kan dit eens worden aangepast naar fijner licht :)

Beautiful location with really super friendly and attentive staff. Coffee was great and food was yummy.

Mattresses need to be replaced…dips a little too uncomfortable. WiFi coverage is limited to the restaurant

Dommage que nous soyons obligés de sortir de l'hotel pour trouver des cocktails et des bières. Peut-être faudrait-il tenir un peu plus compte des touristes étrangers.

The location of the Inn is excellent. Right on the river. The food, the staff, the hospitality was exceptional. I love how every room has a unique design. They arranged my trekking and elephant excursion. They also arranged all of my transportation needs to and from the airport. Highly recommended!

Unterkunft direkt am Fluss mit Blick auf den Dschungel, super herzliches Personal. Große Auswahl an Essen im hauseigenen Restaurant. Toller Trekking Trip in den Gunung Leuser, der vom Hotel organisiert wurde inklusive Rafting und Massage. Das Zimmer durften wir bis nachmittags noch nutzen. Großes und bequemes Bett mit Mückennetzen. Ein Transfer zum Airport wurde organisiert.

Leider ist der letzte Kilometer zum Hotel nicht mit dem Auto befahrbar, sodass es ein abenteuerlicher Weg mit dem Scooter wurde. Die Fahrer waren aber super nett und haben auch das Gepäck für uns transportiert. Die Zimmer sind eher rustikal und offen, sodass auch mal ein paar Ameisen oder Geckos im Zimmer auftauchen können. Uns hat das nicht gestört.
