The gardens are beautiful, and both dinner and breakfast were excellent. The wine list also features very good local wines. We really enjoyed our stay and would gladly return whenever possible. The complimentary drinks were a very nice touch.

Staff were wonderful, breakfast was great. Beautiful gardens. We loved the on site restaurant and enjoyed a lovely dinner. Great cappuccino and freshly squeezed orange juice for breakfast. We loved having the fireplace lit at breakfast. Made for such a cosy atmosphere.

De kamers waren prachtig ingericht, schoon en ruim. Ook de tuin lag er prachtig bij, met zwembad. Voor de beste beleving raden wij aan om minimaal 2 nachten te blijven.

Loved everything about Mo and Rose. we especially loved the breakfeast, Els and her dog :-) and the rest of the staff were just as friendly and helpful.

wifi ! we wanted to watch rugby, but it was impossible to as the wifi connection dropped the entire evening.

Beautiful retreat

The room was lovely and comfortable. The combination of the airconditioner and fireplace kept us very cozy. The grounds are very beautiful and the staff and owners were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was very good. Selection was a little small but the options we tried were very tasty and substantial. Great banana bread and orange juice!

On-site dinner options were a little expensive, but the quality was worth the price. Pushing a pram on the gravel paths was a little tough.

Everything! Luc and Els are very friendly, wonderful, kind people who aim to contribute as much from the community as they get from it. The venue is stunning. The establishment is luxury and all the spoils. It was, by miles, the highlight of our holiday and will go back as soon as we can. Thank you for giving us such a special time to remember.

Spectacular breakfast, exceptionally friendly staff, gardens were beautiful, rooms were large and very well furnished. Beds were super comfy. Restaurant was also beyond our expectations. Very worth a visit.

The wifi was down while we were there. They explained they were attempting to get it back up. This is not exactly something that would happen regularly. Only downside I could find.

We are tall people and the room we were in had a slanted roof above the bed so we hit our heads several times while getting in and out of bed

Wir haben die Unterkunft nur als Zwischenstopp genutzt, waren aber sehr glücklich mit der Wahl! Eine sehr schöne Anlage mit Liebe gestaltet. Besonders das Abendessen und die Weinauswahl (Regional) möchten wir erwähnen. Es war so entspannt in Ruhe am Kamin das gute Essen zu genießen! Frühstück ebenfalls sehr hochwertig! Wir würden wieder buchen.

Absolutely everything was perfect! The owners of this incredible place are exceptionally kind and make your stay truly special. The setting is breathtaking, with a truly outstanding garden — a peaceful little paradise. The dinner was worthy of a Michelin-starred restaurant, refined and unforgettable, and the breakfast was simply a dream. This place is full of charm and soul, and I recommend it with my eyes closed. Si existe un paraíso en la tierra está en Mo & Rose. Este jardín paradisiaco te transporta en un viaje de los sentidos que deseas no termine nunca. Las cabañas y apartamentos están perfectamente integrados en el paisaje con unos muebles de calidad y decoración étnica hermosa. La comida y el servicio difícilmente se pueden superar. Esta experiencia en Mo & Rose no se olvida fácilmente y estamos deseando poder volver para disfrutar de nuestro vino en la piscina o en la cálida loggia. The property is located in a stunning rural location between Robertson and Ashton. The cactus garden is unique. Rooms were stylish and spacious; staff were friendly and motivated and the food and wine was excellent.

Mo & Rose is one of our favorite places to stay during our many travels in Western Cape. A peaceful, unique place with nice rooms, delicious breakfast and dinner, and last but not least: a lovely, service minded staff.

Ein Stückchen Paradies, der Garten ein Traum, super gepflegt genauso wie die komfortablen Zimmer. Wir sind mit unseren erwachsenen Kindern in einem Familienzimmer mit 2 Schlafzimmern untergekommen. 1 Schlafzimmer liegt im oberen Geschoss. Alles sehr geräumig, geschmackvoll und sehr sauber. Frühstück sehr gut und Abendessen sensationell. Geschmacklich einzigartig und sehr schön präsentiert. Personal überaus freundlich und die Gastgeberin Rose begrüßt alle Gäste persönlich. Wir können dieses Haus nur empfehlen!

Sehr schönes kleines Boutique Hotel, Ausstattung sehr schön, Essen sehr gut, Service top. Wunderschöner Garten mit außergewöhnlichen Pflanzen. Eine Oase der Ruhe.

Die Wege zu den Zimmern sind mit Kieselsteinen gefüllt. Das ist mühsam mit dem Gepäck.

Das Frühstück war vielfältig,super lecker,toller Service. Die Zimmer mit den eigenen Terrassen sind geschmackvoll,stylisch und gemütlich eingerichtet und gestaltet, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wieder kommen. Auch das Restaurant mit köstlichem frischen Essen mit einer guten Auswahl,kann man wirklich empfehlen. Die ganze Anlage befindet sich in einem traumhaft angelegten Kakteengarten.

Waren bereits zum zweiten Mal dort und es hat uns weiterhin sehr gut gefallen. Tolle Lage, sehr schöne und geräumige Zimmer. Nette Gastgeber und Personal.

Der Garten ist wunderschön, wenn man Kakteen mag. Viele Vögel kann man hier beobachten. Wir hatten zwei Bungalows bewohnt. Kaffee und Tee , Minibar war gut gefüllt und man hatte Platz. Eine kleine Erfrischung war der kleine Pool. Hier kann man sich gut erholen. Ein kleiner Empfang mit einem Getränk nach einer langen Fahrt war sehr gastfreundlich. Das Auto stand sehr sicher unter einem Carport.

The location was easy to find, parking was excellent! The room was extremely comfortable and very clean. Excellent comfortable bed and fine bed linen. Breakfast was very good, as were the other meals we had. It was particularly good being able to eat at 3pm, and choose from either the lunch or evening menu, as we don’t eat in the evening.

We have travelled in South Africa for over twenty years and had lovely stays but this tops them all, a perfect place. The hosts were exceptional, kind and thoughtful, the staff were charming, the gardens were stunning, the room was comfortable and well appointed and the food was excellent at breakfast and dinner. We hope to return and we will be recommending Mo and Rose to all our friends who travel.

Alles was geweldig!

Uns hat es wirklich wunderbar gefallen in dieser super schönen Unterkunft. Wir waren in Appartement 8 mit zwei Kindern und waren überrascht, dass ein extra Schlafzimmer hatten. Alles ist super neu gemacht und das Badezimmer eine Wohlfühloase. Wir haben es sehr genossen! Zu unserer Begrüßung wurden wir mit Wassermelone und einen Getränk auf der tollen Terrasse empfangen, was gleich Urlaubsfeeling vermittelt! Die Kinder haben den Pool genossen, den schönen Kakteengarten und das sehr aufmerksame und leckere Frühstück mit traumhaftem Blick! Wir haben zwei mal auch dort zu Abend gegessen und fanden es sehr lecker.

Einzig war es im oberen Bett etwas hell morgens, das ist aber schon das einzige.

I rarely give out a 10/10, but this place was just exceptional. When you talk about every single person going above and beyond, this was it. Stunning setting the cactus garden is just something to behold and to walk around, the pool area lovely and relaxing, beautifully designed room, lovely seats on the stoop, just wonderful.

Perhaps 2 bottles of water in the room would be better than 1, that is literally all I could think of.

Rooms are beautiful, all conveniences available. Toiletries are great quality. Staff are super friendly, attentive and kind. The food is the star of the show. I would return just for breakfast 😋 the best meal of our holiday. The owner is so lovely and enduring. Pity we only stayed 1 night.

Per night price is a little high but with the inclusion of breakfast its justifiable. The dinner menu prices are a little high though and we chose to eat elsewhere which is a pity as their breakfast was outstanding so I can imagine how amazing dinner would have been.

Was ein tolles kleines Paradies! Wir waren drei Nächte im Mo & Rose und haben uns super wohl gefühlt. Das Design der Zimmer ist wirklich toll, das Personal extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten einen Welcome Drink mit Blick auf den einzigartigen Kakteengarten, der sogar Eulen zu Besuch hatte. Das Essen abends und das Frühstück waren eins der besten, die wir auf unserer Reise erleben durften. Wir würden das Hotel immer wieder buchen. Vielen Dank!
