A Hidden Gem — A Piece of Heaven! 🌿✨ Klawerjas Flute Cottage is truly a hidden gem that I honestly think more people in South Africa need to know about! Just outside Robertson, we stayed for two nights — my mom, my two daughters and I — and paid R6,816 for the four of us. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we had discovered something really special. The cottage is beautifully and tastefully furnished, exceptionally well equipped for a self-catering stay, and incredibly comfortable. The beds deserve a special mention — they were SO comfortable! Having a washing machine and dryer was also such a wonderful bonus. But what really makes this place magical is the setting. 🌿 We enjoyed the outdoor bush jacuzzi and spa, wandered through the beautifully laid-out gardens, and got to experience the animals — alpacas, exotic chickens, ducks and goats, including the sweetest two baby goats! Everything about Klawerjas Flute Cottage feels wholesome, peaceful and soulful. It is the kind of place where you slow down, breathe deeply and reconnect with what really matters. I have travelled quite a bit, and I can honestly say this is one of the most wholesome and soulful places I have ever stayed. It truly felt like a little piece of heaven. ❤️ If you are looking for somewhere peaceful, beautiful and completely different from the usual getaway, put Klawerjas Flute Cottage on your list. You will not regret it!

Shopping needs to be done in Robertson. But liked that it was peaceful and away from all the shops!

Gorgeous property, beautiful setting and the most gracious hostess who made us feel completely at home. Loved the opportunity to interact with farm animals. Pickleball was an added bonus and of course the hot tub was thoroughly enjoyed. Everything was thoughtfully taken care of, making it a perfect family getaway. Can’t wait to return!

Everything was superb

Private and peaceful. An oasis from the chaos of life. The view is magnificent. The animals are an absolute delight. The house is cosy and fully equipped. Beautiful artwork and interior. Clean.

Absolutely nothing to not like

We stayed for the weekend, and it was truly amazing. The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Our daughter fell in love with the animals from the moment we arrived. The donkeys, alpacas, goats, and ducks were all incredibly friendly. One of the highlights was when the hosts allowed her to collect fresh eggs from the coop, which she absolutely loved. The hosts were very welcoming while also being respectful of our privacy. Another special memory was being able to involve our daughter in naming two newborn goats that arrived on the day we checked out. It made the experience even more memorable for her. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway, especially families with children who love animals.

The property was big and beautiful decorated. Everything was tough for and most of the items in the flat were luxury items. The garden is big, with a small private swimming pool, a trampoline and lots of fruits, veggies and flowers. Also the location in Geduld is in my opinion the best around Robertson.

Secure, private, comfortable, well appointed with lovely touches. We had a great two day stay which was perfect for discovering the vineyards around Robertson and to start our trip on Route 62 /Garden route. Would definitely recommend

Only problem for us was the bedroom did not have a blind on the top window so let in too much early light. Also as we were two couples it would have been nice to have two double beds rather than a double and a twin but not the end of the world as so may other nice features. We would have been happier to stay longer.

Beautiful finishes, spacious, lovely stoep with braai facilities, hot tub and swimming pool. Private garden to walk around with our little one.

No shower in the ensuite is perhaps the only thing I would mention.

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage. The space is generous and beautifully designed, with a stylish décor that feels both modern and warm. The braai area is fantastic, perfect for relaxed evenings outdoors. What made the experience truly unique was being surrounded by alpacas, goats, and chickens, which added a charming and peaceful atmosphere. A delightful place to unwind and enjoy nature.

The braai tongue could be a bit longer ;-) but we really enjoy the place and will come back

Zeer mooi huisje. De inrichting is echt perfect. Het was fris bij aankomst, maar met de kachel was het snel opgewarmd. Er is ook een houtgestookte hot tub waar we gebruik van hebben gemaakt. Rond het gebouw staan ezels, kippen,... wat leuk was voor de kinderen. De keuken is zeer goed uitgerust, en als je niet wil koken is er afhaalmogelijkheid op 10 minuten rijden. Met de hosts hadden we enkel contact via whatsapp, maar dat was prima voor ons.

We absolutely loved our stay at Klawerjas – it was truly one of our best holidays yet. The farm is stunningly beautiful, and the accommodation at Flute Cottage was perfectly equipped, spacious, and tastefully decorated. Everything had been thoughtfully considered, making it feel like a real home away from home. We especially appreciated how safe and peaceful the environment was – not just for us, but also for our little Yorkie, who had a secure, enclosed area to roam freely. It gave us so much peace of mind. The breathtaking mountain views surrounding the farm added to the serenity of the setting. A real highlight was the amazing gravel roads in the surrounding area – perfect for mountain biking, walking, and running. We spent hours exploring the area on our bikes and felt completely safe, with local drivers giving cyclists a wide berth. It was such a pleasure to ride in these conditions. Another unexpected delight was the pickleball court – what a treat to have that right on our doorstep! We also adored interacting with the resident donkeys and alpacas, who added a gentle charm and sense of calm to the whole experience. Elzeth, our wonderful host, made us feel incredibly welcome. She was always responsive and shared excellent tips on places to visit and local restaurants. Her passion for the farm shines through in every detail – a bonus is her beautiful pop-up art gallery, which we thoroughly enjoyed exploring. We can’t wait to return to this special place. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!

There really wasn’t much to fault! If we had to mention anything, it would be that the shower had one rogue spray that shot off to the side, and the front gate to the cottage could benefit from a simple hook or latch to hold it open when going in and out with bikes, suitcases, etc. But these were very minor things and didn’t detract from our stay at all.

The cottage was absolutely stunning - the listing does not do it justice. The interior design was beautiful and all the amenities you could need were included. The grounds were just gorgeous and we loved the animals. With two small children we made lots of use of the little pool in the cottage garden - just perfect for our three year old. We wished we could have stayed longer!

Beautiful cottage, clean, gorgeous views, little pool for cooling off, has everything you need! Also very convenient into town and close to farms. My toddler loved the chickens!

The owner has put so much thought and effort into designing the house to perfection. Every detail, from the dishes and coasters to the beautiful soaps, felt unique and special. We had a blast playing pickleball and the trampoline was an absolute highlight for the kids—they couldn’t get enough of it! Our holiday was truly amazing and we’re so grateful for such a memorable stay.

Klawerjas Cottage is absolutely amazing! Everything is perfect from the rooms, the kitchen, the lounge and the outside wood fired hot tub. The farm animals is such a big attraction for the kids.

Everything. Most stylish cottage I ever stayed in. Everything was top quality. Beautiful surroundings, awesome hot tub, fireplace!

We had the most incredible time at Klawerjas. The cottage is decorated so beautifully. The kitchen has everything you need and everything has been thought of down to the smallest detail. The rooms are stunning and so are the bathrooms. There is a hot tub and even a pickleball court with the mountains in the backdrop. Restaurants are close by as well as lovely wine farms like Springfield estate. We can highly recommend staying here
