Ein ganz besonderer Aufenthalt – absolute Empfehlung! TheLAB Robertson ist ein wunderschöner Ort, den wir uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen können. Das gesamte Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit – man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an herzlich willkommen. Das Essen war herausragend und ein echtes Highlight unseres Aufenthalts. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns, wie selbstverständlich und professionell auf glutenfreie Speisen eingegangen wurde. Hier wurde wirklich mitgedacht und auf unsere Wünsche hervorragend eingegangen. Unser Zimmer war sehr großzügig und komfortabel, und der private Jacuzzi im Außenbereich war einfach traumhaft – perfekt, um in dieser wunderschönen Umgebung zu entspannen. Die Lage etwas abseits macht den besonderen Reiz aus: ruhig, idyllisch und eingebettet in eine herrliche Landschaft. Ein Ort zum Abschalten und Genießen. Ein außergewöhnliches Erlebnis mit fantastischem Essen, herzlichem Service und einer traumhaften Atmosphäre. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und können TheLAB Robertson von Herzen empfehlen!

I recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Lab Robertson and I can’t recommend it enough! From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home. One of the highlights of my visit was treating myself to a relaxing massage in their charming cabin, which overlooks the water – it was the perfect way to unwind. The restaurant was equally impressive, serving superb meals that left me thoroughly satisfied. My evenings were made even more special by soaking in the hot tub, surrounded by a peaceful and scenic atmosphere. Overall, my experience at the Lab Robertson was exceptional, and I would happily return for another relaxing getaway.

The Lab is a great experience. Rooms are clean and comfy, equipped with bottomless filter coffee. The jacuzzi was ready for us when we arrived and nice and hot. The manager got in touch the morning of the reservation via Whatsapp and was always nearby to assist. They didn't realize that I was traveling with a child (I made a mistake when I booked) and immediately handed me extra towels and offered to carry them to the room. They waived me off when I offered to pay extra and said I could just settle her breakfast bill. We had a nice dinner (burger special plus fillet steak) and desserts and drinks by the pool. Breakfasts were HUGE and varied. They also invited my dog to come to the main area to play with the owner's dogs and went out of their way to check in whenever they saw us. We had a great massage in the spa, too, which I hadn't tried before. Area is really beautiful - saw a frog outside our door and listened to them singing at night. Lots of flowers out too. Beautiful mountain view. It was freezing in Robertson but the heater/aircon worked brilliantly so it didn't bother us. The waiters fretted over us and made sure we weren't cold, offered drinks, never chased us to finish up or harassed us over the bill. It was extremely relaxing. My dog is a bit of a bolter, but there was enough green space for her to run around and burn off energy. Never felt unsafe.

I didn't have hot water on the last day - it worked perfectly the night before. I didn't bring it to the manager's attention, so can't really complain as I'm sure they would have sorted it out for me. We spent enough time in the jacuzzi though, so I didn't miss it.

This is my fourth trip to theLAB, and as always, it was a wonderful stay. Rozaan is always accomodating and Ignatius was very kind as always. I can't wait to return with my entire family to experience this hidden gem.

I thought they are a winner. A choice of I think 5 choices. Makes it easy. Tasty pre breakfast delights. Dinner was also tasty despite my order being wrong. Fabulous wine. Location quiet and pretty.

We liked the whole experience but for the coffee machine not working in our room. Also, the bar fridge was under the bedside table. I switched it off for the night.

lovely location although still a 10 minute drive to Robertson itself. Stunning scenery and fully equipped to not have to travel anywhere during your stay.

The dogs have a free run of the entire estate and although they don't really venture to where you sleep they certainly will be with you in the restaurant during meals and any other activities. This wasn't really a dislike at all as my family are dog lovers so we adored this but we did notice other guests not too happy with this so it's worth noting.

Es wird viel Fokus auf Technik gelegt, dabei scheint der Blick für das wesentliche verloren gegangen zu sein. Becher sind zu hoch um unter die Kaffeemaschine zu passen, Zimmertür zu schließen war eine Herausforderung und wenn nur ein Kaffee im Frühstück mit inkludiert ist sollte man das irgendwo lesen können oder zumindest gesagt bekommen.

The Lab was accommodating of an early Check-in to meet our special needs. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location was stunning. It provided both securing and privacy.

I didn't like the room that they gave me this time around especially since i am a returning guest. There is no privacy and i absolutely hated the Polyester feel of the bedding this time around. I literally had to get out of the room for my friend to take a shower. I was verry dissapointed.

Beautiful location and an opportunity to use a hot tub.

We asked for the hot tub to be put on but the decking and surrounding areas were filthy. The sun longer cushions were also filthy. There were also ants all over the decking.

The location is excellent, the facilities were great, the room was great for us as a couple.

Beautiful stay, staff were so friendly. Food was delicious, especially the steak! They were very accommodating for our breakfasts. We had a massage too which was incredible.

The pool was quite cold!

The setting is very pretty, the rooms were clean, comfortable and the staff were very professional 👌 Thank you to Terrence who was our welcoming host😃 The hotel is a quick drive to the Pat Busch location, which was great 👍

Tolles Zimmer mit wirllpool. Tolles Essen im Restaurant und gutes Frühstück..der Pool ist richtig schön groß und toll gelegen.

Der Weg zum Zimmer war bei Regen nicht so schön.

Facilities are clean and modern, staff are very helpful and well trained and they give proper service. Nice and quite surroundings and beautiful views of the dam and mountains. Good for just switching off from the normal everyday rush and just recharging.

Sehr schön gelegen. Sehr ruhig und abgelegen. Das wussten wir, daher war es für uns ideal zum entspannen. Toller Pool mit Blick auf den See. Sehr nettes Personal. Essen war unglaublich lecker. Unser Hot Tub war leider etwas dreckig. Der hätte gesäubert werden können. Ansonsten war alles sehr sauber. Preis noch ok.

Hot Tub hätte eine Reinigung vertragen Preis grenzwertig, da sonst nichts geboten ist. Zum entspannen ideal.

I booked with the intention of celebrating my partner and my 5 year anniversary, I had stipulated this prior to arrival. But unfortunately was just disappointed that nothing had been arranged to make this experience feel special.

The staff are very helpful and friendly. It was an emergency booking and we had fridge items that needed to be kept cold. They gracefully assisted us and I am so grateful.

Room was quite odd but roomy .Not sure about the wooden palling fence that obscured the mountain view. Quirky lighting, online speaker, electric blind which was impossible to stop half way. Larger shower in room: Could have done with more privacy. Too hot to use hot tub on deck. Needed more comfy chairs on deck.

The rooms need some maintenance. We moved rooms because our jacuzzi wasn’t warm. The gadgets for lighting, blinds etc are hit and miss. And why put the coffee machine on the floor?

Das Restaurant war ausgezeichnet. Hervorragendes Essen und Top Service durch die aufmerksame Bedienung. Die Lage des LAB ist großartig. Die Massagen zu empfehlen. Alles in allem sehr gut.

Die hinteren Zimmer haben einen kleinen Whirlpool. Diese wurden in unserer ersten Nacht um 22:00 eingeschaltet und sie sprudelten bis um 07:00 in einer hohen Lautstärke, die schlafen unmöglich machte. An der Rezeption hat man uns das nicht so richtig geglaubt. Die Pools können aber nur von dort gesteuert werden. Der Whirlpool in unserem Zimmer ging gar nicht. Die erste Nacht war verschenkt. Also drauf achten, wenn die Pool spät angehen, gleich vorne melden.

Wir wurden vorab gefragt, ob es wegen des Essens Besonderbeiten gebe, die beachtet werden müssen. Meine Freundin ist laktoseintolerant, das hatten wir mitgeteilt. Leider wurde vor Ort gar nicht darauf eingegangen und es gab keine Alternativen für sie.

Die Lage der Unterkunft ist sehr schön, die ganze Anlage ist sehr gepflegt.

Der Service war nicht immer koordiniert und die Zimmer über der Straße sind nicht ideal, wenn man den Poolbereich und die schöne Aussicht haben möchte. Die Einzäunung der Zimmer über der Straße hat etwas eingezäunt und abgeschirmt gewirkt, aber das ist Ansichtssachte, kein besonderer Makel. Im Haupthaus ist man integrierter und hat die schöne Aussicht auf das Anwesen. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich, aber auch nicht so legär wie wir es von Afrika gewohnt sind. Ich hatte gedacht, das an meinem Geburtstag vielleicht eine Blume auf dem Tisch steht, das sind wir gewöhnt von SA. Wie in den meisten Unterkünften gibt es immer nur eine Kofferablage und der Platz reicht auch nicht aus, um eine 2. zu platzieren.
