The carpets of the place are falling apart and stinks

The people who run the hotel are wonderful. Tina particularly. Now keep in mind that my rating has to do with being in Wawa not in Toronto. So this is a rustic historical hotel, they've done a nice job of renovating some of the rooms we were lucky enough to be moved to one of them because Tina perceived we must have made a mistake in the room we chose and she was right. But the best part about this place is the classically Northern Ontario redneck bar. Fun people everybody from the community hanging out for the night young old, old singers young singers just a very authentic experience. So if you're willing to let yourself ignore what you usually like if you're a Toronto person or such you will love it. Don't forget to see Sandy Beach and hang for a couple of hours if it's sunny and stop at the two falls along the way. You may be too late for blueberry season but boy was that amazing!

We were relieved to find this place that accepted dogs. The room was comfortable, although being on the second floor made it a bit trickier to get in and out. However, we discovered a beautiful boardwalk along the shore of the lake where we could get the dogs out for a walk. The beds were comfortable and the shower was great!

It's easy to see that the Lakeview has had easier days, but the staff are friendly and clearly trying to improve the place. Wawa is a small town, so things shut down around 6:00 p.m. And that made it a bit tricky to find food.

It was a very comfy nice place to stay!

The floors were still a bit dirty tho. Had a bit of dirt on them.

The room was clean and the only complaint was quite a dusty bathroom fan and the hot was cold and the cold was hot on the shower taps

The only complaint is the bar crowd on a friday night were alittle rambunctious. Could be heard quite well

Location great; room cleanliness good. But bed VERY squeaky and springs sounded like they were breaking: has recently been painted however poorly done. A bar/restaurant is inside the hotel -music/drumming heard in our room until late as well as noisy guests and patrons: very cluttered front desk and area:

Toilet seat broken. Hotel run down. No coffee cups in room (coffee maker available). No one available at desk on checkout.

No compliment breakfast, rooms not the cleanest, came in room not made changed rooms 3 times before settling in and that was at a $20 more for the night!

The outside was a shock but it is obvious they are renovating the interior. Our room was unique,facing the water, and very comfortable once we figured out the cooling/heating system. I would book this hotel again.

A little cleanup outside would help improve the first impression.

We were told it was an upgrade.. it wasn’t We believe they gave away the room we originally booked and scrambled to get us a different one. Something was going on above us There was alot of noise furniture being moved around and kept us awake until 1:30 am.

The pictures are very old. Hotel is very dirty, (blood on the floors in room), bathroom fan and light bulbs falling out of the ceiling. Building looks like maybe Reno was started but never finished. For the price you’d expect a room that didn’t look like someone was killed in it.

It was disgusting fire trap with broken electrical sockets. I spent the night with one eye open.

Nothing! It was a dirty room. I felt unsafe as no extra locks on doors, just the handle.

We stayed on the annex building behind the main hotel. Room furnishings and fittings were new, and very clean. Great hot water. Cooktop, sink and fridge all new. New and clean towels etc. Great AC and big screen TV. Staff is helpful and friendly.

The main building is in mid renovation, so for a meal and a drink you might want to go elsewhere. But for a place to stay , the value is terrific.

Room was clean. A small kitchenette. The lake was across the street.

Kitchenette had no utensils, cups, plates, etc. The halls and lobby were dirty. Infested with a large amount of small moths. The window overlooked the roof which was also infested with moths. There was a bar downstairs with music until 230am. Hard finding a place for breakfast.

Not sure where they found the picture for the Lakeview Hotel but it is very deceiving! The hotel itself is a dump! The reception desk was a complete mess with garbage, workers tools and mess. The young guy at reception was the only good thing. Luckily we were given a room outside the main hotel and this had been renovated and was reasonably clean

Since I have a motorcycle, I was given a room on main floor and parked my bike just outside my door. That was appreciated. Restaurant food was good

A convenient place to stay on a cross country trip, comfy bed, clean room, spacious and with friendly staff. Restaurant food was very good.

Would appreciate the prices of the bar being available - we were unpleasantly shocked by a bar bill having draft beer at $12.50 a glass (and we had two each)… everywhere else we’ve travelled the average cost is $6-8 per glass. Not cool. Perhaps minor issue for others but when trying to keep to a budget, we sure would not have spent that much on draft had we known the price. Lesson learned, always inquire…

We had room 103 on the Main floor, it was recently renovated, looked just like the pictures on the site. It was Clean, comfortable and Reasonably priced. Staff were very kind, helpful. Woody's Pub with Pub grub menu was Excellent, we had the Homemade Burgers with Fresh Cut Fries ( $15) , was local entertainment on Friday night ( open mic). Highly Recommend this Hotel. Thank You.

Everything was Excellent, we will be back for sure, we are recommending this Hotel to Family and Friends. Its by far the best Value for Money and Location in Wawa, Ontario.

Renovated room, with high ceilings and lots of space.

The room was very stuffy. No aircon, and the ceiling fan only worked when the light was on. It was a Saturday night and there was lots of noisy action in the attached bar until very late in the night.

Don't let the first impression fool you. The building is old and run down looking. I thought it was going to be a complete dive but I loved the room! It was not in the main but in the motel part.

Small room for 2 people, property in general a little unkept, messy. The bar/restaurant downstairs was pretty loud as expected, not a problem if staying without kids though.

Great location near the lake. The restaurant downstairs exceeded my expectations. Pet-friendly! This was a huge plus for us, and honestly, it made up for many of the shortcomings.

Room was clean. Kitchen facilities included fridge, stovetop, oven, full kitchen sink. Linnen was clean. This hotel is over 100yrs old and room had been repainted and somewhat renovated in the past.

The room had a strong odour of ancient stale cigarettes. The windows were left open throughout my stay with a fan on so it was tolerable for me.

The room I had was in the back building and looked as it was recently updated. After a long day on the motorcycle it was nice to have the ac providing a cooling entry.

Breakfast was not included but free coffee was available.

Tina an Tony (the owners) were great. The Bar (Woodys) waa great, with friendly Bar Staff (Alex and Craig). The location is great with views of Laka Wawa. Location is also great for Access to local shops.

The bed was easily in the top 5 of worst hotel beds I've ever tried to sleep on. Emphasis on tried. The carpet in the room was stained and dirty.

I had a great stay at Lakeview Hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff was professional and welcoming throughout my stay. A special thank you to Tina at the front desk. She was extremely friendly, helpful, and professional. Her positive attitude and excellent customer service made my stay even better. She went above and beyond to ensure everything was smooth and comfortable. I highly recommend Lakeview Hotel and truly appreciate Tina's outstanding hospitality.

The building was totally run down. Entrance way crumbling, stairway filthy, needed repairs & paint. There was no restaurant as stated. No view of the lake from the room as stated, no patio as stated. Complete crap for the money.

I liked the style of the building. That it’s likely one of the towns original buildings and not one of the many cookie cutter hotels was cool. The room was huge and the tub was deep enough to properly soak in. It proximity to the lake was also nice

L'emplacement de l'hotel sur note reoute etait parfait. PAs eu besoin de sortir de notre trajet. FAce au lac avec le levé de soleil. La chambre quoique veillote avait des lits confortables

Cest un edifice vieillot et a besoin de gros rafraichissement. L'hotel est mixé avec un bar et un restaurant. En arrivant, il y avait des gens assez saoul qui occupait le lobby. Ils etaient bruyant mais pas deplaisant. L'odeur de "bar" occupait la place. LE lendemain matin, c'était l'odeur de restaurant/friture qui dominait. Je ne m'attendais pas à beaucoup etant donnée le prix payé pour la chambre donc je ne dirais pas que j'étais surpris ou insatisfait. Un petit commentaires constructif s'il en est un: nous avons réservé en fin PM et à notre arrivé vers 1h AM, le chauffage de la chambre n'avait pas été changé du tout donc nous sommes entrée avec une chambre a 55F. Avoir prévue le coupe et la démarré a la reservation aurait donné un petit confort de plus

I appreciated the safety, its proximity to fire stations and police stations, and the availability of a refrigerator and microwave.

The water in the shower isn't hot. The neighbor next door is very noisy at night, and our room is on the second floor without an elevator, which is difficult because we have a child and it's unsafe for us to go up. The snow in the parking lot hasn't been cleared.
