balcony nice rooms were cool
booked a room when went in the tv didn’t work. called and changed room but yet again the tv didn’t work and one of the beds were like sleeping on the bed frame.
Good location for shopping etc - close to train station
Very noisy on an evening. Struggled to sleep due to noise levels.
The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower was fantastic
There was no bin in the room and no kettle or tea / coffee making facilities (this was provided in the hallway downstairs, but there were no cups provided, which was a bit of a problem). The worst thing was we couldn’t sleep at all for the noise from people on the street outside shouting until the early hours and the pounding music from the nightclub next door went on until 6am. We had booked for 2 nights, but we ended up leaving after the first night and booking elsewhere as we needed a good night’s rest. Would never stay here again.
The room was very clean, great size room. Big tv with access to streaming services Bathroom was great. There is no kettle in the room, but there is a little room with tea, coffee sugar and milk and vending machines with snacks and alcohol. Great place to stay if you are having a night out in Leeds.
We are an older couple, we had been visiting in Leeds. Loved the look of the hotel so booked. We were in a first floor room, directly above Viaduct bar, the bar had a karaoke night on. To be fair it kept us amused, but was very loud. If you are wanting somewhere to relax before an early start. It is not the best place. But after a night out, its perfect.
Shower was big
Too cramped Too filthy
The property was very easy to locate and good location for bars ect, very clean and great value
The room 4 was directly above a bar and the room was vibrating until 5 am with the music The room 6 according to others in the party was a lot quieter
Where the location was but definitely wasn’t worth the money we paid
Wasn’t the cleanest. Very dusty wouldn’t return
Good location. Nice place
No problems
The exit door!
We booked for 2 nights but didn't even stay for one. We left 45 minutes after checking into the room. The mattress was terrible, too uncomfortable to sleep on, you could feel every spring. The room was also covered in cobwebs, but we didn't see any spiders. Even they couldn't stand it! Do not stay at this hotel.
Worst hotel and no proper facilities
No fan and no AC No WiFi
Staff helpful
Nothing
Very central, reasonable value.
Too noisy. Above a bar, music till 3am. Earplugs supplied, useless. Ideal for the gay community.
Nothing!
No AC No fridge. Poor soundproofing. Train noise. Sounds coming from the bar into 04.30am!!! Tas an absolute nightmare!
Clean tidy room. Easy to access room. Staff friendly.
Very clean open space air con not too loud lovely room perfect views great outdoor space
It was perfect
Centrally located in Leeds, only 5 minutes away from the station. The room was clean. The beds were very comfortable. Spacious. Checking in and out was easy. Great value.
The street outside was noisy, but that’s not the fault of the hotel or anyone who works there.
Rihanna (house keeping) Was great amazing customer service honestly Very patient and kind 😊👍🏽
Location is great as you’re around clubs
No staff around in case you need extra bits.
Absolutely spot on room. All facilities were working fully and shower was very hot which is excellent to see.
Nothing at all wrong with this property. However we completely forgot about check-out for 10am due to the fact we booked very much within hours of arrival. Woke up from a few drinks in Leeds city centre however staff here were amazing and were no bother so we swiftly gathered everything and left as quickly as possible so others can get into the room for use later that day
The nightlife that was surrounding the hotel. Good location for couples that enjoy nightlife
No air-conditioning. It was extremely hot and when your sweating out vodka and cokes air-conditioning would of been a massive help. But genuinely, need air-conditioning. 😁
Well priced vending machine.
Poor room hygiene. No channels on the TV. No WIFI Very noisy and it was listed as a quiet room. Way overpriced. £109. Should be ashamed.
Close to train station
Dust all over Used toiletries Tv didn’t work Zero staff Zero communication (wen called nobody answered or replied to emails) I planned an add on as it was my partners birthday, on arrival into the Pricilla room zero absolutely nothing.. no birthday package!! Fuming as I communicated thru email paid etc . Called up spoke to manger he was apologetic and sorted us discount on a much better place and party package and a full refund on my add on. Great work Cameron Dealt with this professionally and more than reasonable.
I paid £60 odd pound for a hotel just around the corner from the station and in the centre of town, it's not going to be the Ritz. The staff in the bar down stairs were great. As an added bonus the Drag Queen show was funny.
As has been said before its noisy, it's above a bar / club with an outdoor area. It's going to noisy! It's in the centre of the LGBT area of Leeds so there is a lot going on.
Lovely, cosy room, nicely decorated. Fab view of the train tracks and enjoyed sitting out on the balcony to watch the trains in the evening. Good fixtures & fittings.
No Tea/coffee facilities in the room...it was a long walk with 2 flights to the area where the communal coffee machine was, so we were concerned about spilling it if we got some and took it to our room, hence we didn't use it and I definitely missed a drink in the morning. It was very noisy in the early hours/thru the night with the bar downstairs, everyone outside and loud music outside too, but we couldn't hear the trains as we'd expected we would..! Also, the air con was difficult to work, we couldn't suss it out, and the only staff available we knew of were working in the busy Bar in the building next door, (they don't seem to be actually on site), so we didn't feel comfortable going to see if they could help, it was too far to walk from our room....we ended up just using the fan in the room, which meant it was quite hot in the room too, but as it was only one night, we managed. The Shower took some sussing out too, but once we had, it was great - some written instructions, or a direct phone number to call with any issues would have been appreciated in the room for both the air con and the shower; we're not particularly techy, so the the option of scanning a bar code on the wall for info just didn't appeal really.
Impossible to sleep before 5 in morning room was shaking from the noise
Nothing
Location great for pride - attentive manger Cameron made sure we had everything we needed
Lost water twice when needed to flush toilet/wash hands/ have a shower
I liked the balcony and decoration of the room
Room 16 Shower curtain needs shortening to prevent flooding in bathroom, yea and coffee could be in the room as the coffee station is a little far from room for morning coffee when just woke up.
Room was right above and next door to the club, which also was opened on weekdays up until 3/4am. So super noise and not really good to sleep in. Mattress in need of renewal, it’s been really worked through. Since there is no real reception it was harder to reach anyone in case of solving the issues. I know it’s stated that the club is open and loud on the weekends which would have been absolutely fine but I stayed mo-fr and it was super loud every night. Eventually ended up swapping hotels. Did not receive any refund or answer. Would not recommend.
Great sized room and shower ! V comfy bed and maybe next time will use the coloured lighting ! I didn't get disturbed myself by any trains although the Wed / Thurs night was a big one hehe
The coffee and tea facilities not in the room so quite a trek.
The price was great, but actually it was very poor value for money in the end. After one night we checked out (should have been two) and stayed in a far superior hotel with much better facilities and cleanliness for less money. The location was great if you like to be in the middle of all the bars and hustle and bustle of the city (until 4 in the morning!!)
The room was dirty (cob webs everywhere), the room was not the room we booked and was smaller than advertised. There was no Wi-fi so the TV did not work. The fire precautions i.e. escape routes and escape instructions were very poor. One of the windows was damaged so could not be opened (a problem when it is very hot). The as described 'luxury reception area' was a total joke, this is just a place with a water boiler and some poor quality tea and coffee. Overall very poor value for money. Its a third rate hotel charging first rate prices. Stay in the Queens for the same price and live in a bit of comfort!! Called and e-mailed the management several time but with no response at all!!
Good location
Dark and dingy, no lifts, smells a bit, no air con and no staff. Wanted the WiFi code but nobody was available to answer the phone call. It also sounds like a train is driving through your room every ten minutes
Convenient location near the train station.
Very hot and stuffy, no fan provided and unable to open the window as located directly above a nightclub. Whilst I appreciate it’s in the heart of the nightclub scene, it’s not made wholly clear upon booking how loud it is at nights and that the bass of the club can be felt several floors up. The room was reasonable, but somewhat dated with broken curtain rails and dirty carpets, and it is very dark as lights only covered half of the room and there was no bedside lighting. Website advertises daily housekeeping, however my room was not cleaned for my whole stay of multiple nights. Front door code changed daily which was not communicated leaving some confusion on the second night.
Quirky interesting decor, not cookie cutter copy like the chain hotels. Good central location
The bar downstairs/next door was noisy until midnight. The trains were noisy in the morning. I would pick a room on the other side of the building next time.
Close to the city and night life but don't expect a quiet night My wife needed ear plugs ,I just needed alcohol 🤣😂
Expensive to park even with the discount So parked with Justpark at Central Park at half the price
The property is right in the city centre which is really practical and means your not far from anything, and easy to get to.
Although the property mentions about noise the extent of the noise is obnoxiously loud, the whole hotel shakes. I paid for early check in and late check out but at 10.05qm I had two young ladies knock on the hotel door and rudely say ‘check out was at 10’ to which I replied I paid for late check out ‘she said until what time’ I said 11 she said ‘ye well with who’ to which I confirmed downstairs in the show bar they was extremely rude and had a terrible attitude. Didn’t apologise for waking me up (alarm was set for 10.40 as our bags were already packed) they just walked off rolling their eyes. There was a fan in the room which was did absolutely nothing so I would recommend bringing your own if it is a hot day because it was unbearable!
Room decor design
Rooms were noisy. Fist room had the computer server behind a door that was heating the room and beeping every 2 seconds. I moved to another room where a winfo did not close properly, had full sounds effects.of the train going past the window ( memories of Jake and Elwood Blues), the bar music went until.2am and the bottles garbage collectio. Was at 5am. NO SLEEP
the room itself was fine, although there wasn’t a proper bathroom door
the location, it’s right next to a night club and a train station, was very noisy and even on a monday evening the night club was loud until 4:30am
Great city centre location, clean and friendly staff. Good facilities. Parking near (very expensive though)
While the hotel is very central, it’s right above a night club which was open until 5am. VERY noisy! Bin men came just after the night club closed, more noise. The room was incredibly hot, even with the window open, no fan. Difficult to get ready as the only mirror was either in the space saving bathroom or around the corner by the door which was really dark. Could have made better use of the wall by having the long mirror by the window, not the door. The view from our window looked into a back street, which was obviously a favourite with homeless, one I observed injecting (what I can only guess) into his groin.
Location although loud it was ideal for us.
No towels and no bed sheet. Big clump of hair in bathroom.
Very modern and clean
Perfect
The decor is beautiful and location perfect for distance to city centre.
Check in - staff weren’t really helpful just given keys and they was it so had to figure out the rest. It’s above a noisy club so music until early hours - I don’t think it’s that clear on booking.com so bare that in mind. Car park behind charges £37 for 12 hours so I would suggest trying to find a cheaper place to park
Way up in the top of the building Stairs no lift Asked to check out at 10am ??? Lousy bathroom so small you couldn’t use it realistically
Nothing we didn’t stay
Everything. Was dirty
Well situated, clean, quirky!
No towels!! And no staff around to ask for any…it didn’t feel right to go into the bar and ask for towels! This was the only downside!
the location and our particular room had a terrace directly overlooking lower briggate, we had intended to go out drinking for the evening, but sitting out on the terrace with all the windows open it really did feel like we were in the middle of the night out without leaving the room. the room was well presented and felt really quite opulent and way above the quality expected from the price paid
the only issue was the downside to the positives previously mentioned, if you were intending to get a good night's sleep, forget it, lol, but if you're after a good night's sleep then its clearly the wrong place.
Location is a novelty
My pillows smelt funky. Either not dried or washed correctly. Room needs a bit of maintenance.
We absolutely love this hotel and the bar downstairs was fantastic when we stayed there was karaoke absolutely loved it would go back again in fact we can't wait we love the themes of the rooms
There was absolutely nothing that we didn't like the person that was dealing with us was so friendly and so nice show this all around told us about what was happening later on at night had a great time wouldn't change anything
Rooms were amazing clean and staff very helpful
Style
Needs aircon or fans in the rooms on the top floor very uncomfortable in hot temperatures
Nothing
Everything
I’ve been before and really enjoy the location and the rooms are generally quite nice
It was 25 degree heat and the room was like a greenhouse, I tried to get in contact but the phone was put down on me so I then had to go and buy a fan just so I could sleep. I also had people trying my door multiple times. The cleaners then trying to get in at 10 even though I’d booked a late checkout. Also having no plug sockets next to the bed was a bit inconvenient.
Hotel is very quirky, the balcony was great and Viaduct bar downstairs sounded like a blast in the afternoon when we were checking in.
The beds were pretty uncomfortable and there were no glasses for drinking water. The noise from Viaduct into the early hours but you have to expect that from a city centre hotel, and they did provide earplugs! Didn't bother us too much.
The location The balcony The decor
Mouldy bathroom Right next to a bar that plays music until 5am Shower flooded the bathroom
AVOID. The room STANK. I thought for ages the smell was a horse as my eyes were itchy and presumed the previous occupant had horses. I used a towel to cover the stinking chair. The mattress was severely soggy in places but I was lucky it was just me. BUT THE NOISE!!! The hotel is not adequately soundproofed. The first night was normal nightlife, late music and drunken excited people, I could sleep through that. But the second the noise must have been illegal, it shook the floors. It seeped in the windows and the base could not be muffled by earplugs. It was horrendous and went on till 3am. I went on line and seen others had complained. I wrote to the hotel who obviously knew this to be normal. I have complained to booking.com that they shouldnt have this blatantly inadequate hotel on their site though to be fair this isnt the first terrible place I have found on here.
Location, the rooms are exactly what the pictures show.
Theres nothing not to like.
Amazing location, cool atmosphere, good facilities and friendly staff. After reading the reviews I was a bit scared of the noise from the train tracks, but it was bearable for me personally, same with the noise from the nearby pubs. They do provide earplugs but if you’re a deep sleeper you’ll be fine
No ac, window didn’t open fully and the room got very hot at times. The code to the front door changes daily which we weren’t told about so it was quite stressful when it wouldn’t open and the bar was closed.
no towels tv didnt work bedding wasnt fresh
Very close to the railway station and central for the pub's and nightlife.
The hotel rooms are tiny,no tea coffee facilities in the room, tiny bathroom sink that water pours over the top all over your feet due to the river tap system fitted, then we come to the noise issue, the hotel is over a "cabaret and showbar" which should be called a rave club, I've never heard a bass speaker boom like that in my lifetime,it was shaking the window frame out of our room till about 3am and even though they provide earplugs in the room (so they are aware of this noise) plugs don't stop bass vibration,so don't expect any sort of sleep till well after 3am and then they want you out of the room on checkout day for 10am!! So I'm sorry I've got to say avoid this hotel at all costs because the noise will ruin your stay and your health. Sorry I've worked in nightclubs for years of my life but that bass is on another level.
Rooms are ok, no air conditioning or fan.
Absolutely horrendous noise outside the property. Was not warned of this prior to booking otherwise wouldn’t have booked It. It should be in capital letters on the description! We was kept up until 5:30am with absolutely no sleep as the club next door was shaking the room.
Big bathroom, industrial chic, cool terrace
No towels left the room, I had to go down to the bar below to get tell them and they brought some up. They hadn't given me the wi fi details and the tv was not connected to the internet and ready to use on arrival
Location is perfect for any central activities
No staff to talk to about any issues. Room next to me up until 4am screaming and arguing… tried contacting OOH team but m one available! Made me feel unsafe to leave my room
Rainfall shower was nice, room had nice lighting and was clean & tidy.
The hotel is attached to the bar next door, which played the LOUDEST music until about 4:30am. I would only recommend this hotel if you plan to spend more of your time out at night than in.
Mrs loved it Good view of her in shower
Bed vibrating from noise but I was also pissed so wasn’t a big problem
The room was modern and spacious
The lack of refreshments in the room
It looked like a construction site there was also no Tv in the room and a towel on the floor it also took a while for anyone to get back to me. I don’t think I was talk serious about situation.
Quirkiness
Mattress tooo aoft
Great location
Very noisy from the surrounding bars
Coll design
NOISE! The hotel is right above a nightclub. This is mentioned so fleetingly on this listing. Also nowhere does it truly tell you the extent of the noise and VIBRATION you will feel until 5am. The bed was literally broken. The divan had a hole in it. The towels were like sandpaper. I was woken up to a fight outside my window at 6am. Utter hell.
The balcony
location, room quirky and functional
no lift
