Nous avons eu une coupure de courant dans notre chambre à cause du fœhn qui était branché (pas nous qui l’avons branché) et de l’eau est arrivé sur la prise en cause la position d’une distributeur de savon qui se trouve accoler à la prise.

Wish we could store our luggage earlier during the day, like 9:30ish. - There is no hotel reception. It's the bar that takes care of hotel guests. When booking, we were told that they could only take our luggage as early as 11:30, so it was quite an inconvenice during the three hours of waiting.

The pub staff provide check in services..they are friendly and efficient. Location is central...near train station and ferry port and is in Altstadt....very lively area.

I’ve stayed at a pub before and they gave you a welcome drink and a discount on food and bev. We probably would’ve spent more time eating and drinking there if that had been the case, but felt the menu and bar were quite pricey for a pub.

Visited during heatwave so it was very hot in the rooms with no AC and fan only. However, not any fault of the hotel.

Everything. It was EXTREMELY hot in the room.. fans did not help and they were SOOO dusty that we got sick! Rooms were like prison cells honestly. I would NOT recommend. The staff who work at the bar who are the hosts are also rude and no welcoming.

The pub and restaurant is perfect for refreshments and food, with seating outside on the banks of the lovely river.

Reviewed Sep 7, 2026The hotel lived up to its name "with a view". It is situated in front of the Chapel Bridge and the view is just mesmerizing. Our room was well-equipped too. They provided 2 fans in our room, and it seems the hotel room is either quite new or just very much well-maintained.
The layout of the hotel itself can be quite confusing at first because of numerous doors.

The bed was a bit uncomfortable, pillows were too soft and room lacked air-conditioning.

Brak klimatyzacji, ale dzięki temu cena nie była z kosmosu jak w większości hoteli w Szwajcarii. Brak śniadań. Hałas z deptaku był głośny tak do 23 w tygodniu. Przypuszczam, że w weekend może być gorzej.

Reviewed Sep 4, 2026Расположение прекрасное, все в шаговой доступности. Вид из номеров на Часовенный мост. Есть русскоязычный сотрудник. Довольно чисто. Возможно позднее заселение, через бар. Персонал вежливый, все вопросы можно решить оперативно, всегда кто то есть на месте.
Дороговато. Номер маловат для двоих. Нет завтрака, так как это бар. В дни нашего пребывания шел чемпионат по футболу, на первом этаже находится бар и мы не могли уснуть до часу ночи. Нам не повезло с погодой (отель не виноват) - была жара, а так как это нетипично для Швейцарии, кондиционера нет, нам предоставили 2 вентилятора и на весь день мы опускали жалюзи. Мы хотели бы номер повыше, но нам выделили номер на втором этаже и сказали, что номер выше следовало запрашивать заранее (в прошлый раз меня заселили на четвертый этаж без предварительного запроса).

No hay aire acondicionado, pero ya lo sabíamos porque es un edificio histórico. Nos dejaron 2 ventiladores de mesa que fueron de mucha utilidad. Bastante ruidoso ya que el bar Pickwick está abajo y trabajan hasta tarde. Como hace mucho calor tenes que si o si abrir las ventanas

Una camera lunga e stretta (larga solo 2 metri) con una finestra a sud, chiusa durante il giorno per limitare il calore che già era intollerabile e non apribile la sera per evitare le zanzare. On the day of check-in, I found hair on the bed sheets. The next day, I left a note asking the housekeeper to change the sheets. However, she not only failed to change them, but also forgot to close the balcony door and the blinds, allowing the afternoon heatwave to pour into the room. She also forgot to remove all the plates, dishes, and condiments from the food I had ordered at the pub downstairs the previous day.

Reviewed Aug 9, 2026Location, location, location. Totally unbeatable! My wife and I stayed in a single room with a pull out bed. Both beds were really comfortable and the long and very thin room was very cleverly laid out . Table for two inside and same again on the balcony. Excellent large shower room with great extraction. Very clean and room made up every day. But it’s the view that makes it. Just don’t stay anywhere else . Better than hotels double the price.

Size of room is very small compared to the price. 2 separate beds were provided not even kept together due to small size of room. Hotel management can look at removing the wooden slab right above the bed.

Even though it was made plain, there was no air conditioning. Food in hotel bar was mediocre. Beds mediocre. Noisy area due to temendous amount of foot traffic as you had to have the windows open.

As this is just above the pub, late night noise can happen, which we didn't mind though.

Reviewed Jul 21, 2026Location was fantastic - in centre of old town and shopping area. View from room was amazing - woke up each morning looking at the Chapel Bridge. Close to many restaurants and the Lake. Also a walk to Lucerne station.
No Air Conditioning. We were there towards the end of June and temps were hitting 34C each day. We were provided with two fans which did provided some relief.
