O'Donnell's Of Donegal

Location is spot on..room was clean and loved it had full length mirror..

The blind in the room didn't work and as we were on the 2nd floor the light going up the stairs wasn't working either.

The room was comfortable & cosy, close to everything (walking distance) in Donegal town, staff were friendly & very accommodating when needed. I loved Donegal Town, the people were so friendly as I was travelling solo! ☘️

The noise from the street was a bit loud ( because I had to leave the window open because it was a very hot summers night & there was no air con/fan in the room) they may need to invest in some pedestal fans for the rooms during the summer months, other than that I enjoyed my stay at O'Donnell's of Donegal.

I would have thought the parking would have been free with the cost of the room..as being from the US I had no coins.

Everything. Nothing I could complain about at all. A little diamond on the diamond. The room was spacious, well presented, comfy, cosy bed. Great view of the diamond.....FAB!

The location was fantastic, staff were helpful and the room was clean with plenty of tea and coffee. Cheap and cheerful!

I didn't like sharing a bathroom or being on the 2nd floor. I have mobility issues and struggled to get up to the top floor. There was no TV, which would have been handy to have your 'own' noise.

Zentrale Lage direkt im Zentrum von Donegal. Leistungen und Zimmer entsprachen der Beschreibung. Wir waren auf der Durchreise, da war die Nähe zu den Bushaltestellen und den Gaststätten sehr gut.

Mit den Betreibern hatten wir ausschließlich per SMS kommuniziert. Etwas schade, aber das hatte zumindest problemlos geklappt.

Posizione ottima, in centro, con parcheggio a pagamento (2 euro). Camera pulita e spaziosa.

Un po' difficile da trovare... Ci è stato dato l'eir code, quindi siamo arrivati nel punto esatto, ma per capire come funzionava abbiamo dovuto chiedere al pub. Praticamente accanto al pub c'è una stradina, alla cui fine c'è questo famoso parcheggio. Posata la macchina, a metà della stradina sul muro c'è una teca con i lock. La porta di ingresso sta sempre nella stradina di fronte alla teca.

Walls were very thin The people next door kept us awake until 3am just by talking ,which wasn't their fault to be honest When booking it was not made clear we would be sharing a bathroom with the other rooms which made it a nuisance trying to have a shower the next day It was stated parking was included but didn't tell us until we got there it was €2 each time to exit the car park staff also had to pay if they parked there we were told

Muy buena ubicacion, parking comodo, surtido de cafe, azucar y te y calentador de agua en la habitacion. Cama de matrimonio muy comoda y grande

La habitacion incluia una cama de matrimonio y una individual que estaba muy incomoda el colchon se undia y la base no era firme, quizas para un niño pequeño pero para un chaval mas mayor muy incomodo para dormir.

Property was not cleaned properly I can see hairs on the floor. My baby also start coughing because of dust in that room. There was no ventilation in the room as it’s in converted attic. In Bathroom mould was there with exhaust fan fully blocked, broken mirror. I visited so many hotels and family stay rooms and as a basic this water bottles always provided but there was nothing when we checked in. They provided us one double and one single bed. Single bed frame was broken. My husband got severe back pain and have to lay down on floor. There is no reception where you can go and ask for help. Overall it’s horrible for me and our family. There is some issue in this feedback form it’s not letting me upload the pictures. But I do have pictures of that room so please message me and I will share the pictures.

Good service from staff, clean and tidy. Booked double room with additional single bed. The room wasn't overly large but more than adequate. Great location in the town.

Nit picking but some noise from other rooms, not enough to be annoyimg.

The noise from the above made for a very hard sleep, then again from 6 am in the morning. I did go up and ask them to be quiet but to no avail. On arrrival there was still rubbish lying outside our room from the previous guests and was Stil there when we were leaving.

Centrally located in Donegal. Our room had a view of The Diamond and all the hustle and bustle. A good number of restaurants and pubs within walking distance. Off-street parking available.

Check-in was difficult. Apparently instructions are messaged through the Booking.com site but I was not looking for them there, so I did not see the message. Did not receive the email check-in instructions until a week after our visit. One of the bartenders in the pub contacted the owners and helped us get the keys from the lock box. Parking is in back (you drive through a really tight entryway that is hard to find). One of the employee's cars was blocking the parking lot entrance so we waited over 15 minutes for him to move his care before we could park. Be aware you need 2 euros to get out of the lot. We just happened to have it but we could have been stuck there for a while if we didn't. Room and bathroom was adequate for a one night stay. The hallway had a very funky/bad smell to it that was there the entire time we were there.

Great London and Great breakfast.

В номере был запах мокрой собаки, скорее всего от ковра. Хотя в описании написано что с животными нельзя. Хорошо что погода позволила полностью открыть окна и проветрить.

Room stank like a dirty hoover

Very centrally located and clean. You could telephone "the property" and a very pleasant and helpful woman, Rita, answered. Also, it was inexpensive.

This is not a hotel. It is a B&B, except no breakfast. This misbranding made for some surprises. No elevator. I had to lug my bags up two flights of stairs. Bathroom down the hall, and shared with all the other rooms on the floor. No air conditioning. View of concrete wall, which was good because there were no curtains. Although Booking.com said the reservation could be cancelled, I could only cancel the second night. I stayed for one of the two nights, and moved to a nearby hotel, with in-room bathroom and elevators.

It was so handy to the town right in the centre and clean , communication was fantastic and staff were so friendly

Central location

The irony of a sign saying "please keep the noise down between 10pm and 8am" in a room above a pub playing live music until midnight, and a cafe playing music at 6am, was something special. Three times someone tried to enter our room at night. Bathroom needs repairs. Bed was small.

Aufgrund der zentralen Lage ist es sehr laut. Das Zimmer hat keinen Komfort. Für eine Nacht geht es schon.

The location is excellent, right in the heart of the town, rooms were spacious and very clean and great value for money.

There was nothing I didn't like

Nos tocó una habitación en la última planta con vistas a The Square. La habitación amplia y el baño completo, todo perfecto. La cama de matrimonio también muy bien, muy comoda. Las indicaciones para llegar también muy claras. Aparcamos el coche en el parking que tienen en la parte de atras, no se reserva, va por orden de llegada. Y para sacar el coche tienes que meter una moneda de 2€

El colchón de la cama auxiliar era horrible, ni para un rato.

Camera ampia e pulita sulla piazza centrale di Donegal. Sotto ha un pub tipico irlandese che non disturba la quiete della notte. Ha poi un comodissimo parcheggio interno che costa 2 euro indipendentemente dalla durata.

Beautiful rooms in an Ideal location. Will definitely come back. Really reasonably priced. Had no trouble at all with communication if we needed to find out anything. There's was someone at the end of the phone. Thanks for a lovely stay.

The shared bathroom would be harder to deal with staying here as a couple but it was grand for a girls night away. Theyre may be an ensuite option available though more suited for couples.

When went into the room there wasn’t a great smell and the whole night and morning you could hear people constantly walking upstairs so we got very little sleep

The location is perfect with a lovely view of The Diamond, so close to everything. The room was huge and furniture was beautiful. Everything was exceptionally clean, the shower was perfect and the bed was so comfortable.

The first evening another guest tripped an alarm, it was a high pitched constant beep that went on for an hour before it stopped, not loud enough to be a fire alarm. The next night it happened again only this time the noise went all night and well into the morning, still going when we left at 9.30am. I tried headphones and earbuds to block out the sound but could still hear it coming from the hallway, very intrusive and disturbing and I couldn't sleep but luckily my kids did! It was definitely coming from the hallway. Also one of the reasons I booked O'Donnell's was due to pub food being advertised downstairs but they actually don't offer food in the pub and the barteneder said they wouldn't be either despite menus displayed outside and online.

More info on checking in- info on parking (location, that coin is needed to exit ( I have only used a credit card in my travels- no coins), notice that key would be in a lock box and better instructions on where to then locate exterior door to enter rooms area. I was not able to make bathroom heater work and while I received prompt responses to earlier questions I didn't want to ask owner re heat when I returned late to cold room

Very clean. Very central. We had the room with ther en-suite. Easy access with the key code. Great experience

You can hear the music below but didn’t bother us. You’re on top of a bar what can you expect.

It was value for the money. Nice clean I didn't like the shared toilet. But that was my own fault I booked in a rush
