Location is great. Room was large enough for a family of 3 or 4. Good hotel.

Don't pay extra for city view. The buildings are so close to each other, so there isn't much of a view. Staff was ok. The initial guy didn't inform us about the free public transportation pass that all hotels provide you. Thank goodness I happen to read about it on google ahead of time by coincidence. When I asked the other receptionist the next day he seemed super irritated that the first guy didn't provide it and kept on hounding on it. I don't know, just made me feel a little edgy. Overall, I think friendliness was ok. Austrians aren't known for there bubbly personalities, so I would say, staff wasn't unfriendly, but could improve a little. Just some minor things to note.

Es ist schade, dass man die Gästekarte für kostenlose Nutzung des öffentlichen Nahverkehrs nicht beim Check in automatisch erhält, sondern erst am nächsten Morgen auf Nachfrage.

When we arrived at the hotel, we were surprised to discover that reaching the room required climbing stairs. Only after I explained that I was with an elderly woman was a solution found and we were moved to a room with elevator access. It was unpleasant that we had to argue about it. The mattress in the bed was very old, sunken, we woke up at night due to discomfort. The sheet had annoying fabric balls and had to be replaced, the towels were very old, thin and worn, the soap in the shower ran out, they didn't replace it and we had to take soap in a glass from the one above the sink. The hallways had an old smell of a place that wasn't ventilated enough. The receptionists didn't explain to us and didn't give us the vouchers for public transportation in the city on the day of arrival, I learned about this from one of the guests and only on the second day, when I contacted the receptionist, did he give me the vouchers. When it comes to a benefit for hotel guests, I expect to receive it on the day of arrival.

per oltre 400 euro a notte non mi è piaciuto il soffitto basso (sottotetto) e il rumore continuo di un ventilatore (non il mio) tutta la notte

Sehr nettes Personal. Leider das Restaurant hat um 23 Uhr keinen warmen Tee oder Kakao anbieten können weil die Kaffee Maschinen waren schon sauber. Wasser zum Tee könnte nur aus der Leitung kommen. Außergewöhnliche Aussage des jungen Personal. Schade.Sonst Hotel ist nur bestens zu bewerten!

Die Lage ist top, auch das Frühstück war wunderbar (sehr nettes Ambiente)

Das Zimmer war sehr klein man hatte neben dem Bett kaum Platz sich umzudrehen, auch das Bad war sehr eng mit quasi keinen Abstellflächen. Es roch am Beginn feucht - muffelig. Durch das einschalten der Klimaanlage besserte sich der Geruch.

The hotel is right in the old town of Salzburg, perfectly located for the festival, even if you need help walking. Rooms are very clean with no carpets: good if you have allergies. If needed, make sure to ask for accessible room, as some of the rooms require passing stairs.

Location it’s in the downtown.

It’s far from the parking so you need to walk with your luggage for 10-15 minutes which is difficult. If your room has a city view then you have to change elevators to reach your room and it’s confusing and if you have a baby with stroller it’s another level of difficulties.

Ótima localização, bem no centro histórico. Atrações muito perto podendo ser feito os percursos a pé. Quarto espaçoso para uma família com 4 pessoas. Quarto climatizado e bem limpo. Funcionários atenciosos.

Die Lage ist absolut top

Das Zimmer war sehr klein. Zwischen Wand und Fußende Bett waren max 20 cm um zum Fenster bzw zur anderen bettseite zu gelangen. Nur im seitlichen gehen möglich. Die Duschwand war ausgehängt und man konnte sie daher nicht schließen. Für den Preis von rund 300 Euro doch eher Sub Standard.

親切です。コンセントをお借りしたり、荷物を預かってくださったり、とても助かりました。エアコンがあり酷暑でも快適です。私は耳が遠く英語もあまり聞き取れませんが、私のようなつたない英語でも、一所懸命話を聞いてくださり安心しました。ホテル内でも迷っていたら、ベッドメイキング中のスタッフさんが、優しく案内してくださいました。本当にありがとうございました。

The room was modern and very comfortable -staff was super nice too! The hotel was nicer than I expected, not bad value at all for the money during that period in Salzburg. Location is fantastic and I felt very well there!

AC was not 18 degrees :) I was quite warm in the room....

Very well located hotel with friendly staff. My inner courtyard room was quiet and spacious.

The location was wonderful. The room was big and everything was comfortable.

The older man at reception was very short and unclear about confusing directions to get to the room. Other guests felt the same. Rooms were in two attached buildings with two elevators and two sets of stairs to get to the room. He also said, "I don't know about the marionette theater, or stairs there, just Google it. I'm working", like I was bothering him!? I had to ask for a town map. He was very rude. I found the marionette theater, near the river. (But the small marionette Museum is two rooms at the top of the mountain, in the castle.) It was a fabulous performance for all ages, of The Sound of Music. Excellent puppet performance! Cheering audience! 🤩

Pouca iluminação no quarto. Para acessar o 3o. andar foi preciso trocar de elevador no 1o.andar e subir um trecho de escada .

Tea/coffee making facilities would have been nice. Most other hotels provide this facility.

It was in a great location right near Mozart’s birthplace and the main shopping street. The room was nice and the bed so comfy. I slept great. There is a nice little restaurant right downstairs. We took a hop on hop off tour and just fell in love with the city. We went to a Mozart dinner concert at St. Peter Stiftskulinarium. Highly recommend it.

The walk up to the room wasn’t easy - two lifts plus dragging luggage up some stairs.

One of the staff is not helpful. We checked into the hotel around maybe noon. We have 3 rooms for my travel group. It's hot in my room so one of the key cards was left in the slot to let the air conditioner run while we went out exploring the town. When we came back around 3:00 pm and found out the room was still not cooling down. So I talked to the staff at the front desk about it and he told us to leave the key card in the slot to let the air conditioner keep running. Of course I told him what I did and he said he will check it. At this time I asked him, will he get to the room to check while we're gone. He said yes. So we left and came back around 8:30 pm or so. The room was still not cooling down. So I stopped by the front desk again. The same staff was still on duty as my first time talking to (I didn't know his name). He said why I let him know this late of the time. I said I told him earlier and followed his instructions and he didn't tell me what's the latest time to tell him. He said I told him too late at the time of the day. He showed that he would not do anything about it. We exchanged the same saying a couple times and then he said I was yelling at him. I said I was not yelling but he needed to do something that he promised he would check if the room was cooling down. And the other 2 rooms were fine and much cooler. Finally he offered to exchange another room without any additional charges. In my opinion, this staff was unprofessional.

Muy caro para lo que es el hotel, subimos en ascensor con las valijas pero despues tuvimos que bajar 4 escalones. La habitacion daba a un aire y luz y no se veia ni el cielo, era bastante chica y el baño aceptable. El desayuno pobre , muy mala la escasa pastelería. Grotesquely overpriced, only marginally clean, dark room with low ceilings, no streaming services. The floors are NOT hardwood as advertised, they’re vinyl. The kind of hotel where you wear slippers in the room because it feels unclean. Sorry to criticize a family run hotel but it’s like a roadside motel at best with a 4-star price.

Way too overpriced. €150 mid week for 1 person, before main season and no breakfast and not even a kettle!! Very small room. Quite tricky to find room (involved steps, corridors and two different elevators so definitely not ideal for anyone above 65). No conditioner or moisturiser which one might expect in a 4 star hotel. 25 euros for breakfast also seems steep.

Location was great, very clean.

Room key had to be reset twice. Shower head was broken. They offered us another room but we didn't want to be on a different floor from our teens staying in the room next door. We asked to have someone come look at it but they never did. Not a big deal as we were only there for the night.

Hotel Elefant was in a good location, right in the heart of Old Town. Great location recommendations from Manfred, who was great. The restaurant downstairs was always bustling and busy, and it felt like staying in the soul of Salzburg. A short walk to everything you need was super convenient. It's a serviceable hotel room. You're paying for the location and the comfort of having everything on your doorstep. The room is nice, has everything you need with no extra frills.

Der Weg zum Zimmer war kompliziert zu merken, da alles sehr verwinkelt ist mit Stiegen und mehreren Liften. Eine Kaffeemaschine im Zimmer wäre nett gewesen.

Beautiful old property that occupies floors across a few buildings, but with modern renovated rooms. The staff were so kind and it felt like a family business. The air conditioning worked perfectly during the middle of a heat wave. Location is perfect, right where you want to be in the heart of the old city, literally on the same block as Mozart birth house. While “Hotel Elefant Family Business” is technically listed separately on Booking.com (an expansion of the business into a nearby, yet internally connected, building), it is functionally the same interconnected property with the same high qualify of room, so apply all the great reviews and details from the “Hotel Elefant “ It took us longer to lock down our hotel in Salzburg then the rest of the trip and we weren’t quite as excited about the listing, but that was our mistake, as it was fantastic!

Definitely the location, we didn’t know it would be in the middle of all the shops and churches. We loved the hotel staff and amenities and were pleased with the room. There were three adults in our party and we had plenty of room and were quite comfortable. The previous reviews were spot on, this is a fantastic hotel!

The location of this hotel is fantastic, right in the heart of old town Salzburg. The staff was very friendly and informative throughout our stay. The room was very quiet too. The room was extremely comfortable with a great bed and nice bathroom. We had a refrigerator which was nice. Our seating area and closets were ample and we were able to spread out. it was extremely clean and modern. The staff is extremely responsive and helpful. We loved being able to walk everywhere to pick up tours or to just visit the fortress. What a gem this place is! I wholeheartedly recommend it.

I liked everything.

The location was great with parking close by and discounted by the hotel. Rooms are large and bathrooms too. Breakfast was good with a reasonable selection.

On a couple of occasions we were made to feel unwelcome when sitting outside at the hotel on the table and chairs, even though we explained we were residents. There are multiple lifts to access your room which can be confusing however it’s a few buildings joined together so I guess that’s to be expected.

Super Lage, Freundliches Personal, tolles Frühstück

Auf den ersten Blick schien alles ordentlich und sauber, doch der Blick auf dem Waschtisch in das Papp-Schächtelchen (in welchem sich wohl mal Reisenecessaire oder kleine Hygieneartikwl befunden haben 🤔 ? - die waren nicht mehr drin) ekelte mich: Schimmel in der Schachtel. An der Rezeption zeigte ich abends diese Schachtel. Eine sehr junge Frau sagte mir nur: "Ich gebe es weiter...." Und der Fernseher in diesem Souterrainzimmer hing auf dem schmalen Durchgang ins Badezimmer immer im Weg. Für große Leute ungeeignet. Ansonsten war alles in Ordnung

Amenities in the room were very nice.

Our room was in a different building to the reception and it was not completely accessible without stairs. Also, the staff did not bring our bags to our room and called us to say they left it in front of the lift so we had to go get it ourselves!

The Location is the best you can getvin Salzburg.
