Sand Dollar Boutique Hotel

The staff were lovely but some couldn't speak English well. We actually only used the hotel to sleep and have breakfast because we were visiting friends who'd tenting a villa two doors away. The location wasn't bad....quiet part of Bang Saray, 10 min.walk to the beach and with a gorgeous cafe restaurant next door.

There was no Hite water the day we arrived so we had to move rooms. Then part of the dresser fell down twice, nearly on my friend's foot....we discovered it was balancing precariously on one flat rung! Breakfast was rather limited but ok. Not sure I'd give it 4 stars.

Boutique style hotel located in a quiet part off Bangsarae or Na jomtien as it’s called If you are looking for piece and quiet and enjoy walking and near the beach this is for you It’s not in a busy built up area so you will need transport even a push bike to get about

We know the area so nothing but a car scooter or E bike would be very useful You can rent E bikes in Pattaya now for 300 baht a day and that would be great fun to zoom about The beach front is about 3 kilos long with everything bars restaurants ete not busy through the week but can get busy at weekends with the bangkokians coming down at the weekends for the highly rated food establishments nearby

Ruhige Lage, direkt im Dschungel. Gepflegte Anlage, sehr nettes Personal. Der Strand ist fußläufig in kurzer Zeit erreichbar. Die Hotelchefin hat sich toll um uns gekümmert, wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

Politeless of staff.A la carte breakfast was nice: avocado anf scrambled egg on bread.

No lift.Staffs were not too many.The hotel was quiet.The room size was quite small.

Das Hotel liegt 5 Min zu Fuss von einem schönen und ruhigen Strand entfernt. Es liegt ausserhalb des Dorfzentrums von Bang Saray, man erreicht dieses aber in 30 Minuten Fussmarsch dem Strand entlang. Im Gebäude nebenan ist ein sehr empfehlenswertes Restaurant. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön für den Preis. Das Frühstück war "ok", aber für diesen Preis darf man nicht klagen. Swimming Pool war ruhig, wenig benutzt.

Die Zimmer werden nicht gereinigt / Betten nicht gemacht. Wir waren 3 Tage da. Man könnte aber wohl nach frischen Tüchern fragen, das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich.

Rent o fint, lugnt område.

Lite väl långt till restauranger eller andra matställen. Räkna med ca 15 min promenad. Bang Saray ligger nära pattaya o vid vissa tillfällen kan det vara svårt att få tag på en taxi

Very helpful staff, great location, huge and clean rooms. Walking distance from a lovely beach with nice beach bars. There was a heavy thunder storm during our stay, which resulted in a power outage in the entire region. Next morning the staff was very helpful in setting up a proper breakfast without electricity.

I think we should have rented a car or mopeds to explore more. Beach and main restaurants are 1km away, not a problem to walk unless in Thailand heat

I had a wonderful experience, every staff member was warm, attentive, and quick to respond to any requests, including messages. They even kindly offered us a late checkout, which was much appreciated. The food exceeded my expectations—absolutely delicious and everything was handled so smoothly by the team. I genuinely felt well taken care of and will definitely be returning!

Nina and her staff showed exceptional hospitality and went out of their way to ensure that their guests had a fabulous stay. From cooking a meal out of hours to making appointments, nothing was too much trouble. The room was spotlessly clean and decor extremely tasteful. A return visit is guaranteed.

Very stylish, modern, comfortable, we felt as VIP guests. The staff was truly amazing and friendly. The deluxe room was spacious, well equipped, the AC was freezing cold, the bathroom was superior, wifi was available everywhere. All the hotel was clean and cozy, the breakfast was delicious. It’s located in a calm and quiet place, beach is 5 mins walk. It was a perfect decision for the two of us, 100% recommended.

So comfortable, quiet and clean! Perfect little secluded hotel by the beach. I loved the pool area as it was a the perfect spot to relax all day. The staff were so kind and friendly. Would definitely recommend!

Decor was beautiful. Breakfast was exceptional. Staff were wonderful. The owner is from California and the hotel bears wonderful collections from her travels around the world. Will definitely visit again. Everyone treated us like family.

Friendly and efficient staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Pool is fantastic. What made it even better was rooms 105 & 106 having their own poolside terrace outside the front door. Location was so peaceful, but the town of Bang Sare is only a couple of minutes away. Rooms are very generously sized - plenty of room to stretch out in, and beds are very comfortable

Arrived at the hotel and received a good welcome however it went downhill from there. Hotel and reviews indicated that there was food available in the evenings however this was not the case (confirmed by staff in who indicated that this has been the case for some time) , given also that the van outside was closed by 17:30 so no food was available, I had also been told earlier I shouldn’t walk to the closest restaurant without a stick due to street dogs…. Room was not particularly clean the pool bar was closed and I was also informed that the reception would only be staffed until 19:30. Made the decision to check out at around 18:00 taking a taxi to Pattaya for that night. I indicate that I would be comfortable with paying for the first night but would expect a refund for the rest of my stay this was rejected by the management in later discussions through my travel agent. Feel very let down clearly this hotel is living on past reviews when they may have provided food in the evenings but now there seems to be no staff for evenings to provide food or open the pool bar etc. Entirely possible given their last review was in 2023

Breakfast is good!

The beds are comfy and relaxing. The owner was on hand to help us sort out the rooms and the breakfast. The staff are also very helpful. The rooms are big enough and the toilets are also big and provide enough toiletries.

The lighting around are a bit dark. The building covering of bamboo I think creates the darker ambiance and secluded space but it feels claustrophobic. The area also has a lot of stray dogs that is a security risk if going out without a car. It is also a bit pricey considering the location and the breakfast offering.

Hotel like new and quiet away from noisy areas

Every window and balcony was shadowed with a bamboo construction, so no view to the nice bush and so feeling like in a cage. Breakfast with pre order 1 of 4 choices a bit poor.

This is hotel I choose to get away from busy life. I did wake up with the sound of natures and felt more energy.

This property is unique locate in quiet residential area a lot of trees make you feel like home. Room and property are clean. All staff were very helpful and caring. Perfect place to getaway from busy week to regenerate energy of your mind and soul.

Expected the location close to city/town, but little interior, but close to our main destination Nong Nooch Tropical Garden. As we are pure vegetarians, chef Chanon Piphoppaisarm provided excellent food of our choice All staff made our stay completely trouble free, and wish all the best to the owner that more guests will be visiting Sand Dollar soon

Beautifully detailed boutique hotel, with great comfort and style, close to quiet beaches and a short hop to the fabulous Nong Nooch Gardens

We visited the Rolling Loud Festival which is only 5 minutes away from the hotel. The reception is very friendly, the pool is very cute and has a nice design. The food, especially the crispy pork krapao with kai dao, is very tasty. There is a very good Thai breakfast which we like very much. We had a good time at this hotel.

We are a group of foreigners and there are only Thai channels on TV. We couldn't watch TV because no one could understand anything. The food and laundry were expensive in my opinion.

Food was ok, room and bathroom excellent

The hotel is very difficult to reach with public service. Without own car not recommendable to go there. We hat to walk 7 pm from Busstop to hotel more than 2 km. All on public highway with full traffic and 36 celsius not a pleasure. No taxi available. They should mention before take bookings.

This is a hidden gem on the outskirts of Bang Saray, it’s walking distance to the beach and local restaurants. The owner (Nina) and staff are just fantastic and cannot do enough for you. We stayed for 6 nights including breakfast which is pre-ordered but cooked fresh as you arrive in the restaurant. Clean and modern rooms with super comfy bed and pillows, really peaceful around the pool. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.

The excellence of Sand Dollar Boutique makes you want selfishly to guard it as a Best Kept Secret. But that would be so unfair on Nina and the wonderful staff of this truly charming and top example of what a small boutique hotel should be: very personal, with everyone vying with each other to satisfy your requests; delicious breakfasts and dinners, very comfortable room, enjoyable pool and surround- with a first class unbusy beach down a private track 5/6 minutes away. The hotel is intimate and hugely inviting - and extremely good value. Such a refreshing experience. The Sand Dollar Boutique Hotel is a beautiful hotel, quietly located and close to the dreamlike sandy beach of Bang Saray. The staff is great, super friendly and accommodating. The rooms convince with their modern design. Lots of bamboo and greenery as well as the hotel's own pool with pool bar make the hotel a true oasis to relax. At the same time, there is much to discover in the surrounding area. We recommend renting a motorbike in the centre. The rooms and the whole complex are very clean and well equipped. The hearty breakfast was the perfect start to the day. We felt very comfortable and can highly recommend the hotel. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

New chic boutique hotel with clean spacious rooms and attentive service right by the beach. The ambience is relaxed and friendly. Their Kitchen offers the best basil crispy pork and homemade desserts we’ve had in a long time. Great place to stay in bangsaray!

My husband and I had a great experience staying in Sand Dollars boutique the place are very clean the staff are very friendly and helpful and the food so delicious we would come and stay here again. Great chef great food services I would recommend to all my friends whose want to visit this part of Thailand.

This quaint but sophisticated 25 room 2-story hotel is a must place to stay if you are in Bangsaray in Chon Buri Province. The architecture is stained concrete tilt up with exposed steel beams. Architects would appreciate this aesthetic. Recessed lights and spot lights create a warm ambience. What is unique about this hotel is that despite COVID-19 the owner persevered and continued its construction. This hotel is built in love and determination. Completed in 09/2021 the hotel is rapidly gaining recognition. It’s located near the beach, fabulous golf courses and a major events venue. You won’t get the quality, service or attention to detail from any other “privately-owned” boutique hotel because the owner, a Thai born native resided abroad for many years and even a citizen of a different country but returned home to develop this hotel on ancestrally owned land. A lover of travel and one who is well- travelled, the owner brings their greatest hospitality experience as a guest to this hotel. Here are a few things that differentiate this privately-owned boutique hotel in this region: 1. High quality mattresses 2. American sources linens 3. Continental cuisine 4. Good water pressure for the shower and each room has its own hot water system. 5. Quality staff and service 6. 300 m straight walk to the beach 7. Spacious bathrooms 8. Very good Wifi Con: Watch out where you walk. There are subtle elevations and sometimes a small drop or rise between threshold. If you don’t pay attention you might misstep. Also, no elevators. But not to worry, you don’t have to lug your suitcase. The staff will carry your bags to your room at check-in and take them to the front at check out. But you MUST request a ground floor room when making a reservation if you can’t traverse the stairs. No lounge chairs to lay on by the pool but plenty of seating. Most Thai people don’t like to be in the sun or to lounge by the pool but soon I think there will be more continental European and Americas guest flocking to this location and lounge chairs will be a must-have. This I think can easily be remedied. I’m not a professional blogger. I’m not an employee or anyone who works for the hotel nor am I getting paid for writing this. I’m just a guest who heard about this gem from a friend of a friend who happened to know the owner, and decided to add this stop to my trip.
