Excellent decoration, comfortable and peace
Everything good
very good breakfast, lots of variety..and all dishes tasty
bathroom fittings, toiletries
Decent breakfast options available.
The staff was very cooperative and the rooms were very clean. The food was exceptional 👌. Had a good stay
Hotel bonito y grande, desayuno buffet excelente. Personal muy amable.
Great property with lovely clean rooms and very helpful staff! Quiet location just off the main road with a peaceful courtyard garden. We booked an airport transfer through them which was good. They also offer tours but unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to try these! Would highly recommend staying here.
De bijzondere ingerichte kamers.
Omdat we steeds maar 1 dag bijboekten, moesten we iedere dag naar een andere kamer verhuizen.
The staff were very helpful. Rohit helped organise my sightseeing, including boat trips and a car to look around the city and in Sarnath. Dimple is an excellent barista and her double-shot cappuccinos were exactly what I needed at breakfast. Another staff member helped me find transport to the train station when Uber was taking inordinately long to locate a driver. The laundry facility was very handy as I was visiting here as part of a longer trip. The location was somewhat mixed - I did like the peace and quiet that came from being far from the centre but it also meant driving through crowded roads to get to the centre.
The location was not ideal. To be fair, being away from the centre was one of the things that attracted me to this hotel, as it meant it would be a quiet place to retreat to in the evenings. But I did not reckon on quite how bad the traffic would be, and that it would half an hour in heavy traffic to get the 5km or so from the hotel to the ghat and temple area! The food at the restaurant was tasty but also pretty heavy - some lighter options would be nice.
Beautiful building, well kept and clean absolutely everyone is super friendly and helpful
My room 301 unfortunately had mosquitos I let the manager know but little was done to remedy the situation, if it hadn’t been for this the hotel would be a 10/10
Lovely room, good restaurant next door.
Transport back to the airport, arranged by the hotel, did not go well. To get to the ghats was a bit of a mission.
Room is not at all good.... half of the room is covered with glass (top) ... Rain water into the room ..
The property is absolutely beautiful. The rooms were massive and very well put together. The bathroom was clean. We were provided with all the basic from towels to toiletries. What I enjoyed the most was the outdoor restaurant which served good food. The staff was very nice, cordial and helpful.
Minor, but I found a strand of hair in my food (puri).
The property is well maintained and away from the hustle bustle of the city. It’s a quaint pretty place with great coffee (blue tokkai cart) and other amenities. Special shout out to Rohit and Payal for their help and hospitality!
Food was good at the restaurent, however restaurent staff was not attentive during dinner, may be a rush hour. The breakfast was also good. The staff is very good, courteos and helpful.
Rooms are verys small and cramped for two poeple to stay. The towels could have been cleaner looking. The approach of the hotel was also not nice but my overall stay was good. Strategly i saw my review automatically there however I did not write any review, that's the reason I had to edit my review and did it the way it was.
Very cute place, loved the ambience. The rooms were spacious and clean. The food was very good. I would definitely recommend this place to others.
It's far away from the main temple areas in Varanasi. I was disappointed by the loud music from the restaurant below. I felt like I was staying above a club and it ruined the serene vibe of the place from the day time and for all these reasons I would say the rooms are definitely overpriced. If you like a quiet stay this is not the place for you. You will find lovelier places for way less money near the ghats with a gorgeous view of Ma Ganga and that is the authentic Varanasi experience.
I liked the visual style of the hotel, it wasn’t indian.
We stayed for six nights and it was perfect. Loved the location as it was quiet and a bit away from the busy centre. The restaurant was great and breakfast had a good selection. Bed was comfortable and the shower was great with good water pressure and hot water every time! Staff were also very attentive and helpful.
Room was a bit small, but didn't really bother us - we had enough space for the two of us.
Very kind and helpful staff, nice ambience inside/at the restaurant! Flexible check-in and out.
The bedding was used and not fresh at all, including pillow covers and duvet. We were too tired to notice when we checked in. We noticed when we came back to the hotel after dinner. It was very late to look for another option and we stayed put as we had to leave at 3.00 AM for Bodh Gaya. It is too expensive for the money paid. The approach to the hotel is too dirty.
Very helpful staff...took care of us like family
The service is outstanding! Very good, from reception, breakfast and housekeeping. I even got a welcome package. :) The room is good and comfortable. Location quite far from the Ganges.
Cleanliness can be better in the room. When they cleaned my room I got a dirty sheet, even more dirty than the one I already had. Please inform staff what vegan food is in restaurant. I had issues with diner and breakfast. This can be better. Also one time in the restaurant they gave us meat instead of vegetarian food.
Cafe restaurant at door step with continental western cuisine and Indian cuisine to the western palate.
Cleanliness of the room. Standard could be higher.
Very beautiful hotel with amazing restaurant. Both the breakfast and dinner were very tasty (especially the Benarasi dum aloo). Staff were very welcoming and helped us plan an excursion to the traditional weavers’ district.
The area is a little derelict. At night getting transport to the important sights was challenging.
The property is lovely, Very charming courtyard and hallways. Restaurant on site was delicious we ate a dinner and lunch there. Liked the balcony off my room and the 2nd floor common one. Clean!
A bit of a rough auto ride to ghats and 20-30min. Room and bathroom were very basic but adequate. Because of bathroom i would rate this hotel room more of a 3.5 than 5 star.
I had a fantastic stay at Stay Banaras hotel with my daughter. I was there during the Mahakumbh period when the town was super busy, but the service offered by the hotel was excellent. It is such a beautiful property and I was amazed by how cute and comfortable it is. My daughter loved it! The food in the restaurant is excellent too. The staff are all great too. Neetu at the restaurant served us and provided great hospitality. The manager is an amazing and kind gentleman named Rohit who takes care of all needs of the customers. I had a fantastic stay overall!
Classy banarasi building, good breakfast, friendly staff.
WiFi was sub-par
Welcoming staff, comfortable and clean room, great food and peaceful oasis in the heart of Varanasi.
The property has a courtyard restaurant which is enclosed by two tall walls with Yellow doors. This creates an ambiance of coziness, safety and peace that separates the hotel from the busyness and noise of the neighborhood outside those walls. It also creates a sense of community and warmth between the guests and staff. Both the wait staff and the office personnel were friendly and excellent in every way. The hotel manager, Rohit made sure every detail was handled to make our stay easy and fun. Our room and bathroom were clean and spacious. The restaurant served a complimentary and delicious buffet style breakfast complete with gourmet teas or espresso coffees and eggs to order. On top of all of these wonderful aspects of Stay Baneras, the landscaping and lighting was charming. Clearly a lot of creative thought went into the property.
Nothing to dislike. It was a pleasure to be there for 5 days and we could have happily stayed much longer
Stay Banaras is aesthetically designed with beautiful chandeliers, wall decor, floor tiles and the little courtyards in between. The staff is very helpful and friendly- especially Rohit who coordinated for all our requirements efficiently. The security and others who is ever ready to help us get the cab, a tuc tuc or anything else for that matter at any point of time, even in the wee hours of morning! The cute yellow restaurant serves good quality and tasty food, and Neetu deserves a special mention as she takes an extra effort to ensure that the guests are well attended to, and is happy! Overall, only positives for this hidden gem!!
this hotel has excellent staff and great service restaurant , breakfast , food is very good, tasty. good location decent size rooms and clean room & bathroom we enjoyed our stay.
Good restaurant. Good staff
Room was too small.
Excellent experience in this new, uber cute hotel. Close enough to everything but still peaceful. Wonderful, caring staff; delicious restaurant, nice rooftop terrace.
Gorgeous room with a fab courtyard and restaurant. The breakfast and food in general in the restaurant were amazing. You must try the brownie and dalls. We ate there every day, which is unlike us as we like to try different places The hotel was beautifully decorated, the bed was comfy, and the staff were helpful and very friendly. It really was a sanctuary in a very hectic Varanasi.
Nothing
the room was amazing!
bathroom could have more ventilation and a shower door
This is a perfect place outside the hustle and bustle of Varanasi. The real highlight are the staff and the restaurant. The food was exceptional and we had great service.
Room size, restaurant, staff, breakfast, location, and the best coffee we had so far!
No shower cabin or curtain
Away from the chaos of Banaras , quiet place , food is exceptional , live music in the evening. They facilitated the entire trip planning Room amenities are awesome Have never seen premix tea for free , mini bar for free where they have biscuits , wafers , etc for quick bites and yes they give a touching return gift too which is rare gesture So it's not that it's a business hotel it's an artistic boutique hotel , if you want a different feel you will love this
Nothing was bad z it's just that parking is on road side but they have gaurds
Where to start! Great location! Incredible and helpful staff! AMAZING restaurant and delicious food. Breakfast and coffee was the best I've had during my many travels through India. Will definitely come back.
It was small and bright. Clean and loved the yellow. Staff was friendly and offered good service
Breakfast and coffee could be better. Also a tip box at check out is a good practice so all staff members including the kitchen and cleaning staff gets the benefit of the tips
Nothing really was not able to match minim level.
Wifi never worked the guy a the reception tryed to help but he gave up. The towel and blanket were completely dirty and wet and all towel they provided as change were still dirty and wet. The blanket the same we asked for a change and to have 1 more because the room is very cold but they were completely dirty so we slept with more clothes to protect our body from dirt and cold. In general the room was not clean. The matress is terrible and you could feel the iron spots on your back. The curtains do not provide enough cover from external light and staff start to do loud noise since early morning. They tryed to change my review I think because was set as 10 and I never put 10. It was a nightmare
The staff was very kind and welcoming. Food was tasty and delicious. Very good size portions.
I wasn’t informed about the live band playing every night. It was very loud and noisy making it hard to get rest. When I called one time to the Front Desk to have them stop the music or lower the volume they said they would and it continued to play until 10 pm. There was someone drilling next to my room 3 nights in a row after 6 pm. Water heater barely lets the water hot so had to make my showers extremely short.
Some of the staff were very nice, location is comparatively quiet, coffee is good
After two nights we were moved to another ‘deluxe’ room which did not even have a window, smelled of the adjacent breakfast room and we could hear the calls and sounds from reception all evening and night. Breakfast was ok but not great. Location is away from the center but not really quiet. Hot water only ran for a few minutes and facilities are very basic.
Nicely looking hotel and a take away breakfast was waiting for us because we left the hotel early.
We ordered pizza and we got a frozen one. Bad location - the surroundings were not nice, we did not feel comfortable getting to the hotel even during the day. Hotel is also located quite far away from a touristic places so it should be cheaper.
Location close to city temples and ghats.
Live music that is a nuisance to guests who want to sleep.
It’s an oasis in Varanasi and felt like I was in a European courtyard having breakfast.
The location is both a plus and a negative. It’s quiet and doesn’t have honking so you can sleep bc central Kashi is loud and noisy. But you do need to get transport to get into central town or Ganges part of town so that is just an extra but depends if you want quiet.
If you’re looking for an unforgettable stay in Banaras, Stay Banaras should be at the top of your list. My recent experience here was nothing short of extraordinary. The boutique suites are beautifully designed, adding a unique charm to your stay. With their vibrant decor and laid-back vibe, you’d almost feel like you’ve been transported to Goa – but with the timeless energy of Banaras all around you. The food is absolutely divine, offering a culinary experience that leaves your taste buds wanting more. The hotel’s team goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. Their care and support made me feel like family – a rare quality that truly sets them apart. Having stayed at several luxury hotels, including the Hilton, I can confidently say that Stay Banaras is now my go-to choice in Banaras. The charm, service, and overall experience are unmatched. A 5-star recommendation for anyone visiting Banaras – don’t miss this gem!
Staff was helpful. Food form the restaurant was excellent. Breakfast was not bad with few options. Clean rooms, standard 3 star level. Comfortable bed and pillows.
Location - not many shops/eateries around and far from the busy area. Music band plays on Fri and Sat till about 9.30pm and loud music.
The breakfast was very good and the cheese omelette was superb
Everything was great !
Breakfast was good and the girl from the breakfast was really good
Very noisy hotel, they are doing some work on it and noises are unbearable. Had to ask for towels as they were none in the room. Couldn’t rest upon arrival and during night had to go twice to the reception to ask the receptionist to lower the volume of his phone because he was watching videos at 1:40 am at a really unbearable high volume.
