Lovely place to stay if you are a golfer. Spotlessly clean. Food in Restaurant nice.

From the minute you walked in the door you were made very welcome . Gurpreet was excellent at his job and an asset to the Hotel . He gave us first class service throughout our stay .

Lovely place to stay with comfortable bed in spacious room, overlooking the sea. Staff friendly and helpful, particularly in dining room. Food quality excellent. The spa area is well designed. Loved lying on sun lounger by pool with sunlight streaming in through the windows behind. Great jacuzzi, steam room and sauna.

Only small criticism was lack of a fridge in our room

Location on the golf course was lovely. Room was nice and staff were friendly. Breakfast was good. Otherwise food at the restaurant was average.

The room was supposed to be ready at 3 but wasn’t ready when we arrived. We had to wait 20 minutes before the room was ready- it would have been nice to have been offered a drink at the bar while we waited. The doors are incredibly loud when they close and the soundproofing is poor, leading to poor sleep. The pool is great for families, but not a relaxing place to hang out if you’re looking for quiet time. It was dirty and people had left drink bottles and snack packages everywhere.

We loved the location, Spa facilities, the dining - it all made for our special weekend experience an enjoyable one.

The only issue we had was the constant noise coming from either the hot water tank or the cistern turning over every 15 minutes throughout the night, so sleep was limited. This was in Room 126. Once hotel guests started waking up and moving about, we couldn’t hear said noise as much, or didn’t acknowledge the noise as much.

Lovely hotel with great facilities. We used the pool a lot. Location is amazing literally a minute walk to the seafront. Staff were lovely Actually ended up staying an extra night as I was enjoying it so much there. Food great & restaurant staff hard working, nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay again.

Extremely minor moan .... Need to have more milk sachets in the room. Having the coffee machine in the room was fab but ran out of milk very quickly.

Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location with wonderful staff. Pool staff in particular were so helpful and friendly, giving out little one some pool toys on his first time in the pool. Such a lovely touch!

The service in the bar area waited for nearly 40 minutes for our drinks plus had to go in 3 times to ask about it. Was the same last time we stayed but we thought it was busy as a wedding was on but with this stay there was no wedding and service was poor especially how much I paid for the stay.

An absolute gem of a hotel! Everything was spotless, and the staff truly went above and beyond to make our stay special. A huge thank you to Kyle at reception for such a warm welcome, and to Rosie for her wonderful attention during dinner service—thank you, Rosie! The facilities are beautiful, and the location is fantastic, just a short walk from a lovely beach. Families will love that there is a great public play park less than a five-minute walk away, which was a massive hit with the kids. The breakfast was delicious too. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!

O pequeno almoço é muito bom e também jantámos no restaurante, sendo uma experiência muito positiva no geral. Ótima relação preço-qualidade, quando comparado com outros alojamentos na Escócia.

We liked everything about the town except for the hotel.

We didn't like the rowdiness the noise pollution from several children within the hotel we didn't like the mold on the ground I didn't like the menu wasn't overly thrilled with the facilities within the hotel and we got food room service twice and it was actually made us throw up and was the single worst Pizza we've ever had.

The property is lovely clean and very luxurious. The rooms are very nice. The spa and the treatments were first class

I felt the service at the property wasn’t as good as previous times . The breakfast was totally Caicos no one seemed to know what they were doing. Juice station was empty, no bread for toast and people queuing to get tea and coffee from machines. Breakfast on day 2 as well wasn’t the best .

The location was perfect, reception area, bar and outdoor seating area were lovely and the food in the bar was good value for money. Pool area and changing facilities were nice and clean.

Few things were disappointing. Duvet on the bed was stained and outdoor cushions on the balcony were covered in bird poo. Service at the bar seating area was very slow that we had to get up and go to the bar to order food and when we got the bill it included another guests drinks which had to be corrected. Very disappointed with breakfast. Told at checkin breakfast was until 10.30am. Both days we turned up at 9.30, by then, no clean coffee cups, sugar or tea spoons available, continental breakfast was scarce and not being replaced. On morning 1 after ordering hot food, it took 45 mins to come out. In my opinion if breakfast is advertised until 10.30 then the food/drinks available should be readily available until that time.

Really liked the sauna and steam room facilities. The room was comfortable and the breakfast options were comprehensive and nice that the hot food was made freshly to order.

Not so fond of the room location, we were on the first floor on the side of the car park so it was a bit noisy at times and no nice view. Would have liked more vegetarian options in the restaurant menus. Also could not phone down to reception which wasn't great.

If you are playing golf it really is the only place to stay. Right on the championship course. Stream, Sauna, pool and spa and nice restaurant and bar. Oozes history. Golf clubhouse, pro shop and staff all fantastic.

The view from our room overlooking the golf course was amazing (we paid for a golf course view). The room was large and comfortable. The hotel was a 3 minute walk to the sea.

Food in the hotel was very average, cooked breakfast mediocre at best. The Rookery was far better with great service.

Die Lage des Hotels ist hervorragend. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Blick auf den Golfplatz und konnten sowohl die Abschläge auf Tee 1 als auch die ankommenden Flights an der 18 beobachten. Das war wirklich großartig. Das Zimmer verfügte über zwei große Fenster, die sich öffnen ließen, und das WLAN war einwandfrei. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Wir haben zweimal im Restaurant gegessen, und es war jedes Mal ausgezeichnet (allerdings nicht gerade günstig). Vom Hotel aus lassen sich Spaziergänge unternehmen, und natürlich kann man Golf spielen, sofern man eine Abschlagszeit gebucht hat. Die Haltestelle der Bahn ist nicht weit entfernt (etwa zehn Minuten), ebenso ein COOP-Supermarkt für Lebensmittel.

Bei einem Hotel in dieser Preisklasse wäre eine Minibar auf dem Zimmer, auch wenn sie leer ist, wünschenswert. Der Fernseher ist ziemlich alt, es handelt sich nicht um ein Smart-TV, und Netflix ist nicht verfügbar.

Booked for a special birthday celebration, this hotel proved to be outstanding in every single way possible. Quite simply, superb.

There was absolutely nothing we didn't like.

We were returning guests and it was a lovely start to be upgraded. Our room was very comfortable overlooking the course and we enjoyed having a drink sat outside on the patio. We ate in the separate restaurant with family which was memorable. The breakfast too was just right. The staff were very nice and helpful.

On the one hand our bedroom was overlooking the 18th green which was excellent. However, the patio was well used until late as the weather was exceptional so it was rather noisy until late.

Excellent room overlooking the Golf course - spacious and very clean. Good free standing shower and a shower mat. Good breakfast with fresh fruit (always a bonus). Enjoyed visit to swimming pool and sauna in the late afternoon. Biscuits in room tick!

There were holes in corridor carpets. A little run down when you get past the front reception and head towards the rooms. Basin in bathroom in room was very small. Housekeeping forgot to replace toilet roll when making up room. A member of waiting staff at restaurant issued the bill but when husband went to pay with card she had added a discretionary 12%tip without asking (which we didn’t realise until the card payment appeared on his phone and was more than he thought he was paying). Note: we would normally pay a tip at restaurants but didn’t have the option at that meal as the waitress had already decided for us. Pretty sure this is illegal (it wasn’t a statutory service charge it was discretionary).

The price of the drinks, I though I was in Mayfair London, the selection of extras on the menu needs to be expanded not everyone like broccoli stems No Air Con in the rooms Food under the table in the Rookery Restaurant, it put us off. We had dinner in the main restaurant every night, The triple cooked chips were excellent, overall the food was very good but a bit pricey but never mind you are on holiday

The sauna/pool area was not up safely standards, sauna rail broken and should be closed until fixed. The sauna had one sign which apparently was ignored by everyone in the area and the rail was dangerously loose.

Had lunch outside service was poor food wasn’t hot I had to request cutlery I had to ask for a straw 3 times! Bar staff were not familiar with spirits on offer, too much mixer in the glass better service and better knowledge of the various spirits, wines and cocktails wud sell much more!

We had a good size room overlooking the golf course. We didn’t have breakfast as we were up and out watching our daughter golf from 7am. It was lovely to enjoy the room after being on the golf course all day. We sat at the window and enjoyed a drink while watching the golfers finish their rounds. We also had use of the pool, jacuzzi and steam room which was excellent.

The room was clean but the furnishings were dated - the bedside tables, console table and coffee table were wooden and worn, required upgrading.
