Friendly staff and they recommend you local attractions like Kathakali shows, Ayurvedic wellness massages etc. If you need any transfers from hotel to Alleppey houseboats, they arrange for you... They've complimentary breakfast and hotel rates are very reasonable prices for this prime location... I really had a wonderful stay at this hotel... Thank you "THE SUNSET BAY"

If I had to find a negative, then it might be there were a few too many stairs to reach my room, but that was no real hardship and it was probably good for me. So, actually let’s call it a positive… 😁

Reviewed May 17, 2026Sehr freundliches Personal. Haben sehr gut bei Tour- und Eventbuchungen unterstützt. Individuell und äußerst flexibel. Private car Organisation hat sehr gut geklappt, waren mit einem unterstützenden, flexiblen und vertrauenswürdigen Fahrer unterwegs. Frühstück einfach, aber sehr gut. Küche flexibel bei Sonderwünschen.

Reviewed Apr 30, 2026Die Lage ist top, da wir nur eine Nacht da waren, war es uns wichtig, dass wir kurz vor dem Abflug noch letzte Einkäufe tätigen konnten. Die Princess Street war dafür genau der richtige Ort. Die Zimmer waren gross und sauber. Unserem Wunsch für ein late checkout konnte entsprochen werden.
Das Frühstück ist wirklich nicht erwähnenswert. Die Zusatzkosten für das late checkout sollten bar bezahlt werden. Wir hatten jedoch nicht mehr genügend Bargeld (da kurz vor Abflug), deshalb wollten wir den Betrag mit unserer Debitkarte bezahlen. Das Hotelzimmer haben wir mit der selben Karte ohne Probleme bezahlen können. Aber für die Zusatzkosten schien das nicht möglich zu sein. Völlig unverständlich. Nach langem Hin und Her, konnten wir dann aber doch mit der Karte bezahlen.

All was good, great location and closer to the beachside, Princess street for shopping. All the museums and other shopping places were walkable
Wish there was a lift here. Also, I wish there were more choices for breakfast. There were 2 options only idli or Toast, not many veg restaurants around.

Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included and was good. Staff were helpful and kept our bags for us all day. The hotel is situated in a great location near the Chinese fishing nets and Princes Street shops.

Lots of nice green plants outside on the ground floor. Floor length mirror in my bedroom. Nicely decorated interior of the room. And it was nice and cool!
The ceiling fan was very dirty and wasn't cleaned when I asked. There was also the smell of stagnant water on the ground floor where my room was located.

Reviewed Apr 20, 2026Hier fühlte ich mich als alleinreisende Frau sehr willkommen. Die gute Seele im Frühstücksraum hat einen großen Beitrag dazu geleistet. Sie war immer freundlich und zugewandt. Das Frühstück war typisch indisch und immer lecker, Früchte und Fruchtsaft gab es jeden Morgen. Kaffee und Tee zur Auswahl. Man kann hier auch seine Wäsche waschen lassen. Über Nacht wird die Unterkunft direkt hinter der Eingangstür bewacht. Ich fühlte mich zu jeder Zeit sicher. Ich bekam einen guten Tipp vom Portier für einen Ausflug in die Backwaters, der dann auch problemlos organisiert wurde. Das Innere des Hotels ist mit Grünpflanzen sehr hübsch anzuschauen. Ich würde jederzeit wieder hier buchen. Übrigens handelt es sich bei dem nahgelegenen Strand eher nicht um einen Badestrand im eigentlichen Sinne, sondern um einen Sandbereich am Wasser.
Der Zimmerservice hätte sich einmal mehr melden können. 😉 Aber auf Nachfrage wurde sofort reagiert!

The lady who provides breakfast runs a great team and is Mom-like in wanting to feed you :-). The location is perfect to explore Fort Kochi and the rooms are very comfortable and everything works!

Reviewed Mar 16, 2026Such a warm, welcoming staff, from the young men working the desk to the woman helping serve breakfast. Our room was very comfortable, with very good water pressure. The water didn’t always get hot but was warm enuf to make for a good shower. The room was clean, quiet, and we slept great. The location in Fort Kochi could not be better. We would stay again.

Rooms aren't cleaned unless specifically requested and the lights on the ground floor passage do shine quite brightly through the glass panel over the door.

Reviewed Mar 9, 2026I truly enjoyed staying there, and as a solo traveller, I felt completely safe. The location is superb, in that it is close to everything you need. The room was fantastic, clean, and quiet. I didn't have any issues with anything, and the staff were extremely respectable.
I wish I could have stayed in a slightly bigger room, given my room price was slightly higher. I also wished I had a bit more natural lighting in my room. But this didn't bother me much, in all fairness, as I was out for most of the time.

Situé dans Rose Street, en plein cœur du quartier touristique, rue calme à proximité de la promenade du bord de mer et de ses "Chinese fishing nets", les filets de pêcheurs, et juste à côté aussi des cafés, boutiques et restaurants. Quartier incontournable où il est agréable de se balader à pied. Grande chambre propre et confortable, avec petit balcon. Excellent endroit où séjourner, vraiment un très bon choix pour Fort Kochi.
Salle de petit déjeuner un peu triste et sombre Espace d'accueil un peu terne qui mériterait d’être rénové
