A nice quaint space in a fairly good location if you are visiting the Safari in Udawalawe. Love the surrounding nature! Overall a good stay and the breakfast was amazing !

This hotel is nothing short of amazing. The garden is STUNNING, immersed in nature, full of wild life and beautiful plants. Our room was very spacious and comfortable, and the owner and staff made us feel at home. The pool is large and welcoming, and the food is delicious - the best curry we had in Sri Lanka, and great breakfast. The owner helped us with everything we needed.

Attention, l'hôtel est mal positionné sur Google Map et ne se trouve pas en bord de route - il est dans la nature au bout d'un chemin, les premiers commerces sont donc un peu loin

Ein sehr ruhiger Ort zum abschalten und entspannen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig, sauber und das Bett sehr bequem. Dann Klimaanlage waren auch die Nächte gut auszuhalten. Der Pool und der liebevoll gepflegte Garten waren das absolute Highlight!

Vi var heldige at have privatchauffør, for ellers er beliggenheden lidt langt væk fra tingene. Men for os var det skønt at være ude i junglen og bare tage bilen når vi ville på restaurant eller ind og se elefanter.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here with our two young children (5 and 1.5 years old). Everyone at the property was incredibly attentive to all our family's needs and made us feel right at home. The rooms were fantastic—spotless, spacious, and extremely comfortable, which is exactly what you need with a toddler. Also, after a hot morning safari, coming back to relax in their beautiful pool was an absolute lifesaver for the kids! A huge plus was how they handled our safari: they organized a great driver for us without any extra markups, and we were able to pay the driver directly. It made the whole experience so stress-free! The food was another massive highlight. The breakfast was amazing and perfectly set us up for the day. For dinner, we ate at the hotel—it was very reasonably priced, absolutely delicious, and even our young kids loved eating the curries! Highly recommend this place for anyone, especially families, looking for a perfect safari base.

Absolutely flawless stay! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The location is away from town, but absolutely perfect for nature lovers. There is nothing more relaxing than spending the afternoon in the swimming pool watching and listening to animals in their natural habitat. It felt like a private safari from the comfort of the water. It might be further away from town, but really you didn't come to Udawale to see it. And after all you will not want to leave anyway as every meal we had there was delicious. I can’t recommend this place enough! They will also help you to organize everything for a fair price what made our visit super easygoing. And most importantly our room was spotlessly clean. Take my advice and stay there for at least two nights. Don't rush back to the touristic beach and enjoy how time slows down over there.

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt im Vimanra. Das Zimmer ist klein aber völlig ausreichend. Highlight für uns war die vom Hotel organisierte Nachmittag Safari. Morgens waren wir im wunderschönen Pool schwimmen. Auch das Frühstück war sehr lecker und der Hotelchef sehr freundlich.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would happily return. The facilities were excellent—everything was well-maintained, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged to make guests feel at home. It was clear that a lot of care goes into ensuring visitors have everything they need for a relaxing stay. A special mention goes to the host, who truly made our experience exceptional. He was incredibly kind and welcoming, and even prepared breakfast for us outside of the regular hours, which we greatly appreciated. He was also very responsive to messages, always quick to reply and helpful with any questions we had. Cleanliness throughout the property was outstanding. Our room and all common areas were spotless, which made us feel very comfortable from the moment we arrived.

Mooi hotel, rustig gelegen, en je kunt met een tuktuk makkelijk richting het drukkere centrum. Kamers zijn ruim, comfortabel en met een nette badkamer met warme douche. Zwembad heerlijk warm. Het hotel serveert voor een klein bedrag heerlijke rice and curry 's avonds. Voor onze 4-jarige dochter werd speciaal rijst met gekookte groenten gemaakt. We hebben via het hotel een safari naar het nationale park (middag, 3 uur durend) geregeld, wat leuk was. Aan te raden voor een heerlijk rustig verblijf met prima service en heel goede prijs/kwaliteit.

We stayed here for two nights in connection with our safari in Udawalawe, and it was a truly lovely experience. The hotel is very cozy and beautifully located by the river. The owner was incredibly kind and helpful with everything, which made us feel very welcome from the start. We had the best Sri Lankan curry of our entire trip on both evenings – absolutely delicious. The owner’s Great Dane was adorable, and the two sweet puppies brought so much joy, especially to our daughter. The room was large and simple. It was not luxurious, but the warm atmosphere and genuine hospitality more than made up for the few minor shortcomings. A wonderful stay that we will carry with us as a special memory from Sri Lanka.

Главная проблема была в том, что во время нашего проживания на соседней вилле был местный праздник, хозяин знал об этом, но не предупредил... Громкая музыка до часа ночи, а мы после поездки на сафари!!!

We kwamen hier met onze twee tieners als tussenstop tussen Ella en het Sinharaja regenwoud. Toen we aankwamen zeiden we: Wow, wat mooi dat zwembad met die tuin erbij en die rivier op de achtergrond! Prachtig! De familiekamer is echt Heel Ruim (!) en netjes schoon. Het ontbijt en diner waren prima in orde. We konden onze (huur) tuk tuk makkelijk parkeren. Het was fijn om hier even uit te rusten van het vele reizen.

Tips (details) voor de eigenaar: Iets meer ligbedjes plaatsen (nu was het rustig dus geen probleem, maar als het drukker is wellicht wel nodig). En de twee stoelen die niet meer gebruikt worden (en gebroken tafel) uit het zicht zetten (omdat de rest allemaal zo mooi is, doet dit afbreuk). En handdoekrekje voor het drogen van 4 handdoeken neerzetten in de familiekamer. Of voldoende handdoekstangen stangen aan de muur.

La localisation , l'authenticité du lieu, et surtout les hotes charmants et attentionnés et le repas rien que pour nous. De plus un excellent rapport qualité prix.

Mooie accommodatie met een heerlijk zwembad. Wat verder uit het centrum en daardoor lekker rustig. Wel iets verder rijden naar de hoogtepunten. Zeer ruime kamers en alles was netjes. Eten was ook erg lekker.

Prachtige rustige locatie met hele mooie ruime kamer en keurige ruime badkamer. 's Avonds is de tuin prachtig verlicht. Zowel ontbijt als diner is heel goed verzorgt. De eigenaar heeft voor ons de safari geregeld inclusief ontbijtpakket. Ook de taxi naar de volgende locatie konden we daar regelen. Aanrader.

In de omgeving valt niet zoveel te beleven (maar dat wisten we).

Beautiful!! The photos really don’t do this place justice. The pool, the lush garden right in front of the small river, the spacious light room - we literally said “wow” out loud when we arrived at this place. Also the host is so friendly and made us the best veggie curries and a delicious breakfast was waiting for us when we came back from our safari. We can really recommend staying here!

Really only a small detail: it would be nice to have a Moskito net above the bed so it’s possible to sleep with the windows open and without the AC

The owner of this place is welcoming. He fulfilled our wishes. He ordered a taxi, prepared dinner on request, gave recommendations. We used the swimming pool every day, because it is good for fitness swimming. Some people consider the swimming pool to be dirty. We cannot agree, because we saw, how they clean it every day (sometimes there are fallen leafs, but the water is not dirty). The breakfast is very delicious. If you are there for a longer time, you get variable breakfast. Contact and price for safari was good as well. We recommend this place for the whole weekend or more days, because it is great for relax. They also offer spa treatments. Unfortunately we didn't try, but it must be good.

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely guesthouse. It’s a family-run business, and the pride the hosts take in creating a comfortable experience really shines through. The place was spotless and clearly well looked after. What made it even better was how smoothly everything ran — they organised an early morning safari to the nearby National Park for us, and it was seamless from start to finish. Highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a convenient and welcoming place to complement your safari adventure. The warmth of the hosts and the care really made our trip extra special.

It was lovely. So kind of them to share this with guest. Staff Very helpful and polite.

It’s very tranquil, serene and beautiful with a lovely pool The family room was great for us travelling as a family with three young kids The owner was responsive and kind and organised had a really enjoyable safari. Saw lots of elephants, birds and some crocs. The kids also enjoyed the Elephant Transit Home (orphanage nearby). We booked last minute, as we wanted to change to our itinerary include some elephants and some more relaxation and I’m glad we did. Good value for money. The food was very good too. Thank you

This was an amazing oasis of calm and serenity. The owner was so kind, he organised our safari in Udawalawe for us and onward transport. He also cooked an amazing dinner for us and lunch the next day after our safari and was happy for us to stay and use the pool. The room was so clean and and beautiful , so much space! My son who loves fishing was able to fish in the lake too with a rod provided by the owner. Dont even consider anywhere else, stay here !!!

A small little hidden gems and paradise aside the main roads from Udawalawe. Reds only to accept credit cards and renewal of the sunbed beddings.

Schöne Anlage und Garten, abends alles sehr nett beleuchtet, sauberer schöner Pool. Etwas abseits, nicht viel drum herum. Wir haben dort gegessen, eine Auswahl an klassischen guten Currys. Safari übers Hotel organisiert (17k) sehr netter Guide der keine Mühen gescheut hat, wir waren sogar 1Std länger unterwegs.

Vi havde en enkelt overnatning med aftensmad og morgenmad som var lavet af gode råvarer. Værten havde arrangeret morgen safari og efterfølgende transport til Ella.

Ein wundervoller Ort zum erholen! Absolut ruhig mit wunderschönem Garten und großem Pool, Zimmer sehr schön und alles tiptop! Superleckeres Frühstück und auch Abendesssen in tollem Ambiente. Der Besitzer ist total hilfsbereit und freundlich, hat uns viel Infos gegeben und alles (Safari, Besuch des Elefant Transit Home, Weiterfahrt) für uns organisiert. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Le cadre est idyllique, calme, au bord d’un lac et au milieu de la végétation tropicale et à deux pas du safari Udawalawe (qu’il faut absolument faire!!! Superbe safari) ! Nous avions pris une chambre pour 3 personnes et elle était spacieuse, très propre et tout était confortable (vue sur la superbe piscine en supplément) Notre hôte était très gentil et au petit soin! N’hésitez surtout pas à réserver. Ce fut notre hôtel favoris sur nos 2 semaines de voyage. Merci encore pour tout !!

We rented a family room for 2 nights. The room was spacious, had two silent and effective AC's and comfortable beds. The dining area and the pool was conveniently right outside the room. The surroundings are beautiful and relaxing. The host was very kind and helpful. He made us a great breakfast and also cooked dinner for us when we wished. The dinner was delicious, don't miss out on the rice and curry (other options are chicken noodles or chicken fried rice). The safari trip to Udawalawe national park was booked through the hotel and we had a competent and good guide.

Hübsches kleines Resort. Sehr sauber und der kleine Garten ist auch gut gepflegt. Der Besitzer ist unglaublich hilfsbereit, da wir in der direkten Umgebung kein Moped mieten konnten, hat er uns kostenlos sein eigenes überlassen. Es war ein schöner Aufenthalt 🤩

Будьте готовы, что отель расположен не так близко к главной дороге, как он отмечен на картах. Если вы захотите поужинать вне отеля, это будет трудно, особенно если вы приехали после заката. Ресторан отеля не имеет меню и выбора, вам предложат только то, что есть в наличии. Но, не смотря на это, ужин был вкусным.

Swimming pool was crystal clear, linen did smell like clean cotton and the food was home cooked and really good. Great position for visiting Udawallale park all organised by the owner. The safari driver was very informative and helpful.

Det var den helt perfekte lille oase ude midt i ingenting. Meget intimt, da det er et mindre sted med få værelser. Perfekt atmosfære og roligt. Rigtig god hjemmelavet srilankansk mad.

Wifi fungerede ikke altid godt, men sådan er det nærmest i hele Sri Lanka. Der var lidt myg, men vi er ude i skoven og tæt på floden, så det er forståeligt.

The place was really nice and our hosts so welcoming. Upon arrival we were met with the most beautiful dinner! The room was clean and comfortable and we loved the pool. They organised a drive for a safari at very short notice and we had a great day out. Would highly recommend it to anyone coming for a safari or to just visit the area.

Wspaniały nocleg. Pokój ogromny, komfortowy i czysty, łazienka bez zarzutu.. Super klimatyzacja, najszybszy internet na Sri Lance. Ogromny, czysty basen. Przepyszne jedzenie - zarówno wliczone w cenę śniadanie jak i lunch i kolacja ( w bardzo rozsądnych cenach). Wszystko smaczne i pięknie podane. Dodatkowo przepiękny ogród. Przemiły, pomocny gospodarz. Safari zorganizowane przez hotel było fenomenalne. Niezapomniane przeżycie.

A very restful Guest House, with the owner who would provide everything you need. The pool was exceptional, as was the food. This was over 4 days a varied local diet with some surprises, wether it was an evening meal or a fabulous Breakfast. The house is set in a highly cultivated Garden of many varieties of Trees and Plants. At the end of the Garden is a fast flowing irrigation canal. Therefore there are a lots of different Birds to be seen. Highly Recommended.

За дополнительную плату нам организовали вкусный ужин и обед на следующий день после Сафари тура. Очень уютное, комфортное место с чистым бассейном.

Отель находится в непосредственной близости к Turtle Beach, черепах можно видеть и покормить в течение дня. Единственное что напрягало, это впадающая канализация непосредственно в зону купания. Сама гостиница очень старая, номера очень уставшие. Персонал отзывчивый.

Très bon accueil. L'hôte nous a même préparé à 4h30 du matin un pique nique pour le petit déjeuner car nous partions en safari. Très bon dinner, notamment des petits pilons de poulet crispy. Literie confortable ; grand lit. Wifi efficace. Piscine très jolie et très bien entretenue. Jolie terrasse pour les repas, donnant sur la piscine. Environnement très calme.
