Lake Cabana

“Everything is good.”

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an amazing stay at this beautiful cabana! The peaceful surroundings, stunning lake views, and relaxing atmosphere made our trip unforgettable. The hosts were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. We also enjoyed the kayaking experience and the safari, which made our visit even more special. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well organized. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful nature getaway in Udawalawe.

We had an excellent stay at this Lakeview Cabana and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. The room and bathroom were very clean, comfortable, and well maintained, providing a relaxing environment throughout our visit. The Wi-Fi connection was reliable and worked well during our stay. The food was delicious, freshly prepared, and offered a great variety of flavors that we truly enjoyed. The owner was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always available to assist with anything we needed, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. One of the best parts of our stay was the safari experience arranged by the property. It was perfectly organized, and we were fortunate to see many elephants and other wildlife in their natural surroundings, creating unforgettable memories. The peaceful atmosphere, beautiful surroundings, excellent hospitality, and outstanding service made this a truly special place to stay. We highly recommend Lakeview Cabana to anyone looking for a comfortable getaway, delicious food, and an amazing safari experience. We would happily return again in the future.

This is a very cheap place. But it is a scam. If you stay here, you must definitely go on a safari organized by the owner of the hotel. This is a very expensive safari organization. You should not come to this place.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this cabana and honestly it is one of the best places we have ever visited. The location is stunning, surrounded by beautiful nature with peaceful lake views that create a perfect relaxing atmosphere. The cabana itself is clean, comfortable, and very well maintained, giving a private and cozy feeling throughout the stay. The food was amazing—fresh, tasty, and beautifully prepared. Every meal felt special and added to the overall experience. One of the highlights was the safari experience arranged by the owner. It was exciting, well organized, and truly unforgettable. We also really enjoyed the kayaking, which was safe, fun, and especially great for children to experience and enjoy the lake. The owner was extremely kind, friendly, and always helpful. His hospitality made us feel very welcome and comfortable from the beginning to the end of our stay. He truly goes above and beyond to make sure guests have a perfect experience. Overall, this is the perfect place for a peaceful getaway with nature, adventure, great food, and excellent hospitality. We would highly recommend it to anyone and would definitely love to come back again!

The location was close to the main road which gave easy access from town and the Udawalewa safari park, yet the Cabana was tucked away in the jungle area next to a beautiful lake. It was very private, peaceful, and beautiful. The Cabana was extremely comfortable with nice beds, A/C and hot water. The owners were also very friendly and even cooked us a delicious Sri Lankan meal one night. I will definitely return to this Cabana again one day!

We have just returned from our stay at Aliya Lake Forest Cabana – and it truly felt like a little paradise. Nestled by a small lake, this place is incredibly peaceful and full of warmth. It’s the perfect spot to slow down, relax, and simply listen to the sounds of nature. But what made our stay truly unforgettable was the family. We felt so genuinely welcome – almost like being at home. You can feel that this place has been created with so much love and heart in every detail. The cabana itself is very clean, spacious, and beautifully maintained. We were lovingly taken care of – the mother prepared delicious meals for us, and the daughter looked after us with such kindness and attention. While many travelers use this place as a base for a safari, it is so much more than that. We would highly recommend staying longer to truly experience the peace and special atmosphere of this place. A heartfelt thank you to Lasantha and his wonderful family – we will always remember this stay.

Beautiful complex, well suited as a starting point for safaris. The restaurant serves delicious food at all times. Highly recommended for one or two nights - rather not suitable for a longer stay, as not much can be done except safaris

Super hosts. Great safari.. Really recommend food there.

Our stay at Nature Lovers Safari Resort was beyond incredible! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like family by the wonderful owners, who went out of their way to make our experience unforgettable. Their kindness and hospitality truly set this place apart! The cottages were clean, spacious, and beautifully designed to blend with nature. The beds were comfortable. The home-cooked meals were absolutely delicious! Every dish was fresh, full of flavor, and made with love. Whether it was traditional Sri Lankan cuisine or a customized meal, everything was prepared to perfection. The resort arranged the best safari tour for us! Our guide was knowledgeable, and we got to see elephants, crocodiles, buffalo, and even a leopard up close. It was an unforgettable adventure, made even better by the seamless organization from the resort. If you're looking for a peaceful escape with great food, clean & cozy rooms, and the best safari experience in Udawalawe, this is the place to be! Highly recommended, and we can’t wait to visit again!

Our family's recent stay at Nature Lovers - Udawalawa was nothing short of exceptional. Nestled in the tranquil surroundings near Udawalawa National Park, this property exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that made us feel right at home. The accommodation provided a perfect blend of comfort and nature, with clean, well-maintained rooms that ensured a restful night's sleep for the whole family. The attention to detail in the rooms and throughout the property contributed to a serene and inviting environment. Dining at Nature Lovers was a delightful experience, with a variety of delicious meals that catered to our tastes and dietary requirements. The food, prepared with fresh, local ingredients, was a highlight of our stay, showcasing the best of Sri Lankan cuisine. The cleanliness of the entire facility was impeccable, from the rooms to the common areas, ensuring a comfortable and hygienic stay. This commitment to cleanliness and care was evident throughout our visit and greatly appreciated. What truly set Nature Lovers apart was the hospitality of the staff and owners. Their genuine care, willingness to assist, and attention to detail went above and beyond, making our stay memorable and enjoyable. Additionally, the value for money was unparalleled. Considering the quality of the accommodation, food, and service, we found the pricing to be very reasonable, offering great value for an unforgettable experience. As a family visiting from Australia, we were looking for a peaceful retreat that could offer a taste of Sri Lanka's natural beauty and hospitality, and Nature Lovers - Udawalawa delivered on all fronts. We highly recommend this property to anyone seeking a serene getaway with exceptional food, accommodation, and service.

Brilliant service and rooms. Rooms were large with Air con and WiFi. Very clean also. Breakfast and check out was avalible later after our Safari. Breakfast was a Sri lankan tradition of String hoppers and bread. Hotel owner also very helpful with public transport options and map looking! Would 100% recommend the accomodation. I would ask for instructions on how to find the location as Google does not recommend the address. There is however a sign off the main street for the accomodation.

Great place to stay before safari in Udawalawe, delicious breakfast, friendly owner.

The family is amazing, we really enjoyed staying with them. They were also so sweet getting to know my 1 year old girl. They were always very helpful and wow the lady's breakfast was always so delicious!! While eating breakfast we were visited by some monkeys on the property. The location is very quiet and peaceful. I am so happy we decided to stay here!
