Das Hotel hat keinen Parkplatz. Ein kleiner öffentlicher Parkplatz ist ca. 250 Meter entfernt. Das Hotel hat drei Etagen aber keinen Aufzug. Der Zimmerservice lässt zu wünschen übrig. Bei sechs Übernachtungen war das Bett einmal ordentlich gemacht. Bei dem Sofa war eine Lehne nicht befestigt sondern nur angelehnt da defekt. Der Hof hinter dem Hotel ist verwahrlost. Die Rezeption ist nur stundenweise besetzt und auch nicht über ein Haustelefon erreichbar da nicht vorhanden. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr übersichtlich. Es gibt nur Brötchen kein Brot und auch kein Toastbrot. Preis und Leistung stehen in diesem Hotel in keinem Verhältnis. Ich reise sehr viel und übernachte daher auch sehr häufig in Hotels.

Une très belle salle de bain Et surtout, je recommande de faire la connaissance de Freddy...............

Je pense que la qualité du petit déjeuner pourrait être améliorée. Plus de pain frais , du bacon avec les œufs et des jus de fruit moins industriels seraient les bienvenus. Cela rajouterait beaucoup à la perception globale de l'hôtel.

Kein Parkplatz. Das Zimmer im dritten Stock ohne Aufzug. Die Kirchturmglocke direkt vor dem Fenster. Frühstück war sehr einfach und nur eine Kaffeeemaschine hat etwas genervt.

Room was lovely but a little small. No air con and it was very hot otherwise I'd have rated it an 8. Our child's bed wasn't made up in our family room so we had to search for staff late at night but it was all sorted quickly. Breakfast was lovely and staff very friendly and helpful. Location perfect. Church bells don't fully start till 7am so it was okay.

Der Check-In war online möglich und deshalb sehr unkompliziert. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön und sauber. Das Frühstück ist klein aber fein und das Personal ist freundlich. Für unseren spontanen Kurzurlaub war es perfekt 😊

Way to hot and staff informed us that it was not worth their investment to procure fans for guests. This was a shame to hear when a fan costs about €15.

The owners were the very best we have encountered on our weeks of travels. Always ready to help with a smile going above and beyond. The breakfast was good. The beds comfortable. The location was close to the lake and everything else in town.

Not their problem but ours for choosing to travel in the summer with ridiculous heat. It was so uncomfortable for sleeping with the high temperatures.

Das Hotel befindet sich zentral im Ort, sodass Restaurants daneben liegen - zum Essen muss man also nur die Straßenseite wechseln. Die Zimmer lassen sich gut verdunkeln, zudem lassen sich die Fenster der Zimmer weit öffnen. Beim Frühstück hat es uns an Nichts gefehlt, so gab es immer genügend Obst sowie Gemüse und Joghurt. Zu dem Zwecke des Ausladens und Einladens des Reisegepäckes, darf man direkt vor dem Haupteingang des Hotels halten (wirklich nir halten und nicht parken). Wenige Gehminuten entfernt findet man ausreichend öffentliche Parkplätzmöglichkeiten (Parkplatz Ischlerstraße 12 ist seit Ewigkeiten kostenfrei aufgrund eines dauerhaft defekten Parkticketautomaten, Parkplatz Ischlerstraße 18 kostet etwas aber nicht die Welt). Das Personal des Hotels war stets freundlich.

Das Hotel befindet sich leider schräg gegenüber der örtlichen Pfarrkirche. Da die Anhänger der römisch-katholischen Kirche sogar im aufgeklärten 21. Jahrhundert meinen, sie müssen jede Person mit ihrem Glockengeläute belästigen, wird man, trotz getragenen Gehörschutzstöpsel, spätestens um 06:00 Uhr geweckt. Das Geläute der Kirchenglocken ist dort außergewöhnlich laut und hält teilweise über fünf Minuten an. Ich bin sonst recht unempfindlich gegenüber derartigen Geräuschen und kann beinahe überall schlafen, aber der von der dortigen Kirche ausgehende Krach und Lärm (als etwas Anderes kann man es tatsächlich nicht mehr bezeichnen) war wirklich extrem. Dafür kann das tolle Hotel zwar nichts, jedoch sollte sich der Gast darüber im Klaren sein, dass er hier nicht ewig schlafen kann. Mich stört es wenig, da ich im Sommer ohnehin mit der Sonne aufstehe, um möglichst viel am Tag erleben zu können, aber so ist ja nicht jeder. Die Freiheit des Einzelnen endet dort, wo die Freiheit des Anderen beginnt. Über dieses Fundament unseres Zusammenlebens sollten die Gläubigen mal nachdenken und sich überlegen, ob man das Geläute nicht ablegen oder zumindest zeitlich reduzieren und seinen Glauben nicht anderweitig ausüben kann, ohne andere hierbei über das normale Maß hinaus zu belästigen. Was gäbe es dort für einen Aufschrei der Empörung, wenn ein Muezzin vom Minarett aus fünfmal täglich mit seinem Adhan zu den rituellen Gebeten aufruft - da wäre es mit der geforderten Toleranz sehr schnell vorbei.

Tolle Lage, alles was man braucht!

Die fehlende Klimaanlage könnte an einigen Sommernächten zum Problem werden. Bei meinem aufenthalt war es in der Nacht zum Glück kühl genug.

Sehr freundliche Vermieter und sehr angenehme Zimmer.

Das auf der Website angekündigte tolle Frühstück mit regionalen und selbstgemachten Marmeladen (von Darbo in Plastik) war nur Standard. Das Restaurant hatte geschlossen. Ich kann leider nicht sagen, ob nur an diesem Tag, es wirkt allerdings eher nicht aktiv. Zum Glück gibt es ausreichend Alternativen.

We booked and paid for a double room with an extra bed, we were given a twin room

Our family had a wonderful stay at Hotel Radetzky, and we cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. As a lovely surprise, the hotel staff greeted our daughter with ice cream to celebrate her birthday, which happened to fall on our first day there. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made her day extra special. The reception team was exceptionally friendly, professional, and helpful. One particular incident demonstrated just how far they are willing to go for their guests. Salzburg offers visitors a free Guest Mobility Ticket through participating hotels. I had booked two rooms for our family of five, but due to a Booking.com issue, my name appeared on both reservations. As a result, the system could not initially issue mobility tickets for all family members. The receptionist worked hard to resolve the problem, but when we had to leave to catch our bus to Salzburg, the issue was still pending. To our surprise, after successfully solving it, the receptionist actually came running to find us before we boarded the bus so that he could let us know the tickets had been issued for every member of our family. That level of dedication was truly beyond the call of duty and speaks volumes about the hotel's commitment to its guests. The combination of warm hospitality, genuine care, and outstanding customer service made our stay memorable. Thank you to the entire Hotel Radetzky team for helping make our family holiday so enjoyable. We would gladly stay here again — but this time, in Winter.

The only downside was the lack of air conditioning. We visited St. Gilgen during an unusually hot summer heatwave, and the rooms became quite warm, especially at night. Under normal weather conditions this may not be an issue, but during periods of extreme heat, air conditioning would greatly improve guest comfort.

Die Lage ist super, das Personal freundlich und das Zimmer war groß.

Für den Preis hätten wir uns beim Frühstück deutlich mehr erwartet. Und die Einrichtung im Zimmer war insgesamt eher billig.

Schade, dass der Balkon im 2.stock nicht sehr einladend war und genutzt werden kann. Und das abstellhäuschen für die Räder könnte man auch verschönern und etwas aufräumen. Im Badezimmer wird man vom Nachbarhaus gesehen, Vorhang oder Fensterläden wären angebracht. Und schade, dass man um 6:45 Uhr morgens vom Landwirt zum Blumengiessen am Haus schon geweckt wird.

Sehr zentral mit freundlichen Personal, großzügiges Zimmer, sehr gutes Frühstück. Wir konnten unsere Fahrräder trocken unterstellen und aufladen.

Leider kein Fahrstuhl, Zimmer ohne Klimaanlage, keine eigenen Parkplätze, aber 200m weiter waren öffentliche Parkplätze vorhanden.

Чудовий готель, який зробив наше перебування в Санкт-Гільгені по-справжньому незабутнім! Дуже сподобалися чистота, комфорт і затишок у номері. Персонал був надзвичайно привітним, уважним і завжди готовим допомогти. Сніданки по-домашньому смачні з якісними продуктами. Окремо хочеться відзначити прекрасне розташування готелю — поруч із найкрасивішими місцями Санкт-Гільгена та озера Вольфгангзеє. Атмосфера в готелі дуже тепла і гостинна, завдяки чому почуваєшся бажаним гостем з першої хвилини. Щиро дякуємо всій команді за чудовий сервіс і приємний відпочинок. Із задоволенням повернемося сюди знову та рекомендуємо цей готель усім, хто планує відвідати цей мальовничий куточок Австрії!

I wanted to stay for one night somewhere where it was close to my next adventure, and this did not disappoint! The view with the balcony room of the church and then the mountains peeking out from the clouds was amazing -- and the bed was really comfy! Breakfast a standard European buffet and the staff was very friendly

Nothing that I like , the worse experience that I ever had

This was the worst experience of my entire Europe trip. I strongly advise anyone reading this review: do not choose this place. We ended up staying in what felt like a scam hotel. On their main page, the listed price clearly stated it was for four people. However, when we checked in, they immediately charged us extra for two additional people, claiming we had only provided details for two guests. This made no sense because the price we booked was already for four people. They deliberately exploited this loophole, saying we didn’t submit information for the other guests, and forced us to pay for two more people — meaning we ended up paying for six people in total. It was clearly a trap from the beginning, as the website never made this condition clear. To make things worse, the additional charges were applied as adult rates even though they were for children, totaling over €250 extra. Secondly, even though we paid for four people, the breakfast provided was nowhere near enough for four. Each person was given just one slice of bread, and only one type was provided — no refills. There wasn’t even basic milk available. We had to repeatedly ask if more food could be provided, almost like we were begging. Cheese was limited to a tiny piece per person, and when we asked for more, we were told there was no stock, with a very rude and dismissive attitude. This kind of breakfast is something we could have easily bought ourselves at a supermarket. It is absolutely not the standard of a hotel. All food was strictly limited to one portion — no refills — and the quality was poor. Breakfast was extremely basic: plain bread, butter, and a coffee machine for self-service. Even the coffee machine was initially broken, and there was no milk available, meaning coffee without milk. The second day’s breakfast was even worse. Each person was given just one crepe, with no option for more.

Všechno naprosto v pořádku, hezké čisté vybavení. Moc příjemný pán na recepci. Městečko kouzelný k jezeru to bylo opravdu kousíček. Velice rádi se vrátíme.

Location was brilliant and rooms were lovely and a great size. Stunning view. We were greeted by a chirpy lady who seemed to be the only staff member who wanted to smile and she was able to check us in early and that was so greatly appreciated. We struggled with the pillows being too soft but this was universal for us across Austria, Belgium, France, Netherlands and Germany. The bathroom was spacious enough with the shower having really hot water and great water pressure. There was a good range to choose from in the included breakfast which had lovely fresh fruit, meats and cheese, cereals, breads, a coffee machine and juices.

The staff (Bulgarian or perhaps Russian) struggled with English and nobody seemed terribly happy to be working. Our stay in St Gilgen was only for 3 nights and it took 2 days and 3 reminders to the front desk staff to be issued with the St Wolfgang Card (discount card for transport and local attractions).
