Zimmer, Ausblick, Lage, junges Personal sehr freundlich (eine ältere Mitarbeiterin wirkte eher unmotiviert), gutes Frühstück

Keine Liegen in der schönen Grünanlage (nicht wie auf einem Foto), Liegen am See viel zu eng gestellt, Bootshaus wirkte eher wie Abstellkammer, bei bestem Wetter kein Abendbrot auf der sehr schönen Terrasse (mit unterschiedlichen Begründungen weshalb nicht), Tischtennisplatte nicht gesehen,

Der Steg ist wunderschön. Allerdings stehen dort sehr viele Liegen sehr dicht nebeneinander, sodass es an Privatsphäre und Ruhe fehlt.

Das Verhalten des Personals entsprach leider nicht dem Preisniveau des Hotels; teilweise empfanden wir den Umgang sogar als unhöflich. Aufgrund dieser Erfahrung wäre das Hotel künftig nicht mehr meine erste Wahl, und auch Freunden würde ich es nur mit Vorbehalt empfehlen.

Frühstück war eher lieblos angerichtet.

The hotel is located in a truly beautiful area. The view from the room was amazing, overlooking the lake.

The bed was not comfortable. The hotel does not have air conditioning, which we were aware of, but we expected there to be at least a fan available. The nights were very hot, and there was no fan in the room. There are insects in the area, so it was not possible to leave the window fully open. As a result, we were very hot and sweaty at night and had a very difficult time sleeping throughout almost our entire stay. Having a fan in the room would have made a big difference. Unfortunately, the dinner was not very good and did not meet our expectations. There is also not enough staff at the hotel. The staff members who are there are doing their best and were helpful, but the shortage of staff is noticeable.

Die Lage des Hotels mit dem Blick auf den See und die Berge ist einmalig. Das Hotel atmet durch und durch Geschichte. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, am besten auf der Terrasse eingenommen. Die Küche am Abend war hervorragend. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, besonders die Mädels im Praktikum, sehr nett.

Der Frühstücksraum ist sehr unruhig. Besser draußen, wenn man sich mit den Wespen arrangieren kann. Die Parkplatzsituation ist etwas tricky. Man muss schon zur rechten Zeit da sein, um einen ordentlichen Platz zu ergattern.

Stylowy hotel, doskonale polozenie, prywatny pomost nad jeziorem dla gosci. Czysto. Cudowny widok ( dla tych co mają okna w strone jeIora)

Wiem, ze place za wyjątkowe miejsce, ale ciut drogo jak za ten standard. Nie bylo klimatyzacji, a na zewnątrz powyżej 30’stopni. Nie czulem sie komfortowo. Ciepło także w jadalni. Klimat sie zmienia i trzeba brac po uwage nowe realia. Podczas sniadania bardzo ciasno. Ludzie bez przezwy zachodIli sobie drogę. Troche to dziwne, bo miejsca w hotelu nie brakuje.

Frühstück hohe Qualität. große Auswahl, sehr nettes und aufmerksames PERSONAL Lage hervorragend, Ab- und Aufstieg zum Strand und zurück ins Hotel etwas mühsam aber hat sich gelohnt am Strand nur mit Hotelgästen teilen zu müssen.

Für uns war nichts Negatives dabei. OK: Eine Kleinigkeit, die Zufahrt etwas tricky wenn man vom Ort die Uferstraße fährt. Navy war aber gescheit genug.

Everything. Staff are very kind and helpful. The location is amazing! Quiet but not too far from town. The lake is absolutely beautiful! The boathouse with SUP and other things is a wonderful bonus! We will definitely be back.

Emplacement très agréable avec de très belles vues sur le lac, à distance à pied du village, plage/ponton privés, avec tous les équipements (douche, vestiaire, chaise longue, parasol), pédalo. chambre lumineuse, confortable et spacieuse.

L’espace buffet du petit déjeuner qui est peu pratique.

we stayed at room 106, very spacious and truly enjoyed. Waterfront for swimming is definately a super choice.

Plan to come back during winter time, an indoor swimming pool will be very attractive to stay longer

Traumhafte Lage am See mit schönem hoteleigenen Seezugang. Man durfte den Steg bereits vor Check in und auch nach dem Check out noch benutzen, was super war. Blick vom Zimmer mit Balkon auf den See. Ruhig. Nettes Personal.

Frühstück war ok. Zimmer etwas in die Jahre gekommen, fleckiger Teppichboden.

Das Personal , sowohl an der Rezeption, als auch die Kellner*innen beim Abendessen und beim Frühstück bis hin zu den Reinigungsdamen top freundlich und engagiert. Die jungen Damen im Dirndl - so herzig lieb ! Das Zimmer ein Traum, der Seezugang ein Traum, das angebotene Programm ein Traum. Auch die anderen Gäste waren alle sehr rücksichtsvoll untereinander. Ich habe wirklich hohe Ansprüche und finde absolut nichts, das ich hier zum Verbessern nennen könnte. Danke für die schöne Auszeit hier im St. Gilgen .

The setting of the hotel is excellent, it also has a lakeside jetty to sunbathe and you can hire for free, paddle boards and small boats from the hotel. The boathouse, i think its called, has a shower and men and women's changing room. Garden well looked after. Restaurant setting is also excellent with views over the lake. Perfect in the evening. Breakfast was satisfactory, and the hotel provided a print out of things going on at the hotel and the daily weather forecast. Its a short walk (10 mins) from St Gilgen, beautiful little town, and a bus stop near the entrance is useful. Strandbad St. Gilgen was a great little place to go, lots of people having fun. A visit to the lakeside by Springbrunnen also recommended and also suggest Casa-Mediterranean restaurant for food, the service was actually better than the hotel in my experience, and much more relaxed atmosphere. The hotel is what I would call 'very Austrian', its not ultra modern or anything, just somewhat old fashioned, but for that you don't feel like you could be anywhere in the world, you know you are in Austria. This is a good thing but worth bearing in mind for some I would say. The room was very spacious, very clean and the bed comfy which was made daily. Bathroom was impeccably clean other than a very small amount of mould around the bath on the sealant. Some complimentary bath items were provided. The noise level was fine, which we were initially concerned being almost directly opposite the restaurant terrace on the first floor, but we didn't really hear anything at all, and heard more noise from the balcony chairs being moved above and beside us, not a huge problem for us though. Otherwise the hotel itself for the time we were there was very peaceful. I only recall one night being particularly hot, but we had the balcony doors shut, temperature was fine with it open in the night.

The price. Unfortunately, I felt like I was paying for the view. The staff would say hello and helpful when asked, but didn't feel like any one was going the extra mile, and sensed an awkwardness which surprised me given the reviews. I just felt a bit underwhelmed once actually there. One lady at the reception when we checked in was really nice, showed us the way to our room and what I was expecting throughout my stay for service. At our evening meal, the waiter seemed frustrated when trying to pay by card and ended up agreeing adding the bill to the room. He took my card out before I could even read what was shown and muttered something about 'American banks'. The young waitresses were nice but didn't feel like they wanted to converse, just take my order and no interest in us as guests which is something I like when I go away. I think they may have been new. I also noted that when booking there was a 'special requests' section. As it was my wife' birthday (and the reason for our trip), I asked if a birthday message and cake could be left for our arrival (i would of course pay for this) they responded it wasn't something they could arrange, so unsure what special requests they can accommodate, again, not going the extra mile like I have experienced at cheaper hotels. At breakfast there was an older lady, always seemed to have a face like thunder, not once did I see her smile. On exit there was no thankyou for staying The room was good, but given the price point (£350/n for 3 nights) the only complimentary items where packet tea and coffee, no bottled water or soft drinks, there was a fridge but it was empty, not quite sure what it was for. I have stayed in London for a similar price and had access to whole lounges with free food and soft drinks. Some of the fine detail like the skirting boards not fitted to the wall properly, no suitcase stand (bed bugs anyone?

Läget är fantastiskt. Trädgården, bryggan och närheten till sjön. Fridfullt.

Einrichtung der Zimmer, Qualität des Frühstücks veraltete. Schirme/Beschattung beim See mangelhaft - schade. Mit wenig Aufwand könnte man viel mehr raus holen! Dann würde Preis/Leistung passen.

Die Einrichtung war sowohl altmodisch, rustikal als auch modern. Die Aussicht auf den See war ein großer Pluspunkt. Die Zimmer waren sehr ruhig und das Personal war sehr freundlich.

Extrem freundliche Dame an der Rezeption, saubere grosse Zimmer mit Blick auf Garten und See, umfangreiches Frühstück auf der Seeterrasse. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Wir hatten wunderschöne Radltage im Billroth Hotel. Unsere Räder waren hervorragend untergebracht,ebenso die Lademöglichkeit von unserem E -Auto war sehr praktisch.Rundum eine top Empfehlung.

Skvělá lokalita, klidné prostředí, nádherný výhled, čistota.

Mírně vrzala postel a hotel nám oznámil, že kvůli konající se svatbě nebudeme moci v den příjezdu používat plně všechny jeho části ani restauraci. Mohli za to nabídnout nějakou drobnost, čokoládu třeba, ale jinak bylo vše skvělé.

Przepiękny hotel. W pięknym miejscu wśród gór nad jeziorem pokój barszo duży z widokiem na jezioro. Czajnik lodówka w pokoju. Barszo wygodne łozko wszystko było perfekcyjne. Pyszne śniadanie. Obrusy przy stoliku. Śniadanie na tarasie. Sla obslugi nie ma rzeczy niemożliwych. Czuć niesamowity spokój można tam na prawdę odpocząć. Cisza i spkkój. Klimatyczne miejsce z historią. Chętnie tam wrócę. Spędziłem tam jedną noc ale wrócę na dłuższy pobyt. Pokój bardzo duży świetny widok na jezioro pokój z balkonem z pięknym widokiem. Plecam.

Nie było nic takiego.

Blick auf den See

Schlecht geeignet für ebike Fahrer. Keine Möglichkeit, in einem Fahrradraum aufzuladen, mussten die schweren Räder über mehrere Stufen Im Bereich der Rezeption hochschleppen, wo dann outdoor eine Kabeltrommel zum Aufladen hingestellt wurde. Aber auch nur auf "good will".

Die Lage am See und die Nähe zum Ort

Es gab eine Hochzeit an diesem Wochenende und wir hatten das Zimmer direkt über der Feier. An Schlaf war da nicht zu denken. Die Aufräumarbeiten ab 3 Uhr morgens waren extrem laut.

חסר מזגנים או לחילופין מאווררים לימים חמים.

המלון מרגיש כמו ארמון! אהבנו את החוף הפרטי עם הסאפ וסירת הפדלים, החדר מרווח מאוד והמקלחת גדולה ומלכותית.. ארוחת הבוקר מצוינת.

החוף אינו צמוד ויש לרדת מדרגות אבל זה שווה את המאמץ הקליל. המלון מרוחק מעט מהמרכז אבל זה טיול נעים לאורך האגם.

Sehr freundlicher Empfang beim verfrühtem Check-In, das Zimmer war absolut sauber inkl. Dusche/WC und der Ausblick vom Balkon aus auf den Wolfgangsee einfach traumhaft. Bademantel, Badetücher und Badeschlappen lagen bereit, über einen kleinen Kühlschrank verfügte unser Zimmer ebenfalls. Das Personal, egal wen man traf und ansprach, an der Rezeption, an der Bar, den Gärtner oder die Dame aus der Küche, alle freundlich, motiviert und hilfsbereit, trotz 34 Grad und dementsprechend physischer Belastung, Respekt :). Das Frühstücks-Buffet war so umfangreich und so lecker, für mich nicht zu toppen (der Kaffee übrigens auch, der hat fantastisch geschmeckt). Die Hotelanlage verfügt übrigens über einen schönen Garten, sowie einen privaten Badeplatz mit Badehaus. Abschließend für jene, welche im Urlaub das Handy nicht beiseite legen können: das WLAN funktioniert schnell und zuverlässig. Absolut empfehlenswert, dieses Seehotel Billroth...

Die Matratzen waren außergewöhnlich unbequem - an einen wirklich erholsamen Schlaf war daher nicht zu denken - ich würde das Hotel gerne wieder buchen, vorausgesetzt es gibt Zimmer mit hochwertigen, bequemen Matratzen - die Rezeption konnte meine Frage dazu leider nicht beantworten.

Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr schon mit Zugang zum See. Es ist ein sehr gepflegtes Hotel mit Tradition. Großer Parkplatz.

It was in an excellent quiet location with gorgeous views of the lake and mountains, and a 10 min walk into St Gilgen.

Ein Hotel mit einem besonderen Charme. Es gibt eine wunderschöne Terrasse mit einem herrlichen Ausblick auf den See und die Berge. Besonders freundliches und sehr bemühtes Personal. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen sicher wieder!

Die Sonnenschirme am Badesteg sind leider nicht windfest.

Nice room and beautiful gardens

It was a little difficult to get to from the bus station. If arriving by car would be fine. The boat house is across the road and not accessible with any disability.

Everything! Big room with superb stunning views of the lake and mountains. Well maintained garden. Had a pleasant walk beside the lake, and it’s only about 10 minutes walk to the town centre.

The view from our room was stunning. Lovely terrace that we were able to relax on with a drink on arrival. Helpful and friendly staff. Very clean and large room. Peaceful. Good selection at breakfast. Beautiful location.

I wish the room had some cooling system in place

Our room was large and had an amazing view from both the room and balcony. It was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very nice as well. We chose to have dinner here because they said they could handle my gluten free needs. The dinner was excellent and the portions were nice. We enjoyed having both breakfast and dinner on the terrace. Taking the ferry to St. Wolfgang was fun too.

Google maps does not lead to the entrance to this hotel. The hotel sent instructions that did work so pay attention to that.

Fully recommend. Hotel with very good spirit, perfectly located with view on lake and phantastic terasse, where you can have a breakfest and dinner having a nice lake view. Btw. book a table for dinner, you will enjoy a perfect service, very good quality meal for a reasonable money. We really enjoyed it.

Nothing to complain. Only positives.

1. Close to the village, the lake and easy access to external road 2. Enough parking 3. Breakfast varied for anything you might dream of: vegetablease, cheese, 3-4 types of salame, boiled eggs and scrambled. If you ask, they' ll make you an omlette on the spot, cakes, fruits, gems, yogurts, juices, coffee,.... 4. Large room with great view of the lake (if room book such a room) 5. Reception personel always ready to help. Everyone spoke good english (for those that do not speak german)

1. Elevator - for myself was perfect; but my friends had rooms that they had to carry-up luggage on several stairs 2. Room maintenance: I stayed at the hotel for 5 nights. When the tissues box (initially less than a wuarter full) emptied, it was not replanished. 3. Towels - twice we left wet towels on the floor and they were not replaced. Luckly we had a bag with additional towels for when you go to the sea- shore, so we took from there. 4. Tea bags ended after 3 days and they were not replenished. I know that 2, 3 and 4 are small things that I might have solved with the help of the reception.
