This is an absolute gem. The beach is amazing with no one about. There are beach umbrellas and chairs to sit on to contemplate life Thile believing you’re on a tropical island on your own. At high tide you can swim out and at low tide you can wallow in lagoon while peering at the coconuts on the beach! It’s feels like a real tropical paradise. All the staff are very welcoming and friendly. This is a destination in itself and once they get their new pool installed it will be the best place on the island. The rooms are clean and quiet and the restaurant has a huge menu and is amazing value for money. There are even secret beaches within walking distance.

This was a little slice of heaven. Peaceful, beautiful property. Dave and Rose are incredible people and hosts. Food was wonderful, our little villa was great and WiFi/power worked well throughout our time there. Note: do not feed Bella, apparently she is on a diet

Nos encantó. El lugar es precioso, la playa espectacular, de los lugares más bonitos de la isla. El servicio inmejorable. Las instalaciones perfectas. El restaurante un 10 calidad/precio.

Fuimos a pasar una noche en nuestra ruta por el norte de la isla, y sin duda fue de lo mejor que hicimos. El hotel es una maravilla, justo delante del mar, la habitación es espectacular, la cama super grande, el baño precioso y todo super bien equipado. Hasta te dejan toallas para la playa para que no tengas que utilizar las tuyas. El dueño y los trabajadores son encantadores y se nota que les gusta lo que hacen. Es el único sitio donde nos han dado un zumo de bienvenida. Parece una tontería, pero es un super detalle. Sin duda, si volveríamos atrás haríamos más noches en este hotel. Lo recomendamos a todo el mundo!

Fantastic family owned boutique hotel. The beach is frontside amd essentially private as open only to guest of hotel and restaurant. Not at all crowded. Owners great very fast response time to inquiries. Staff just as fantastic very helpful and efficient.

Una estancia maravillosa de principio a fin. La habitación estaba perfecta: limpia, cómoda, con aire acondicionado y todo lo necesario para sentirse como en casa. Pero, sin duda, lo mejor de todo fue el personal, que fue absolutamente encantador y atento en todo momento. Y tienen 3 gatitos y un perrito que son, literalmente, lo más bonito del mundo 🥹❤️. Se nota muchísimo que los cuidan y los tratan con muchísimo cariño, algo que dice mucho de las personas que llevan este hotel. Me he sentido fenomenal y repetiría un millón de veces. The garden well maintained and full of nice plants and flowers Singing birds contributes to the peaceful atmosphere. The restaurant serves delicious meals. It was a pleasure to eat at DaRosa del Mar. Very hospital staff. Making you feel at home. Already planning to be back soon !!

Perfect place for peace and quiet away from all the noise of general luna. Plenty of things to do around the area. Staff is friendly. Restaurants cooks excellent food.

Darosa del mar ligt in het rustige noorden van Siargao, waar je het echte eilandleven nog vindt, ver weg van het drukke General Luna. Waar de kinderen nog naar je zwaaien als je voorbij rijdt. Waar je in het dorpje verse vis kunt kopen bij het winkeltje waarna deze direct op de bbq bereid wordt. Of je gaat voor gemakkelijk bij het restaurant eten op het parkje bij de bungalows. Direct aan het prachtige strand gelegen. Er zijn twee bungalows direct aan het strand en vier erachter met zeezicht. Fantastische bedden (die wil ik thuis ook!). Het handigste is als je zelf vervoer hebt bijvoorbeeld een scooter. Het is een leuke tocht om te rijden van zuid naar noord en vv. We hadden graag langer willen blijven.

DaRosa Del Mar is a spectacular place to stay. The location is unparalleled, steps from the beach which we had entirely to ourselves. My girlfriend and I drove up from General Luna to Alegria Beach and decided to spend the night, it’s just by chance we chose DaRosa Del Mar. I really can’t say enough great things about and the next time we visit Siargao we plan to stay here for several days. The staff is outstanding. The on-site restaurant serves delicious food. I ordered chicken fajitas for lunch one day and pancakes for breakfast the next morning, both were literally the best I have ever had. If you’re visiting this area you must stay here, you will not find a better all around choice. It’s quiet, intimate & beautiful.

Nice, well kept, quiet location at the north corner of island with direct access to the beach. Tasty meals and big portions for reasonable prices at the restaurant. Good wifi and using solar energy for power.

L’environnement et l’ambiance de ce lieu est particulier. L’atmosphère y est ressourçante, simple et accueillante. L’accès à la plage offre des beaux paysages et un beau ciel en début ou fin de journée. La restauration est de qualité.les patrons sont sympas également. Et coup de cœur pour Bella (la chienne) qui nous suivait partout.

La dernière commande pour le dîner est à 19h. Ce n’était pas grave mais ça demande de s’organiser un petit peu en conséquence.

Beach front, stunning white sand, and in a quiet location. The friendly owners built the resort's six guest cottages to a high standard and everything during our stay was just perfect. Starlink satellite internet, solar power with battery storage and backup generator means reliable power and high speed internet. The onsite restaurant has an extensive menu and every meal was delicious. The resort can arrange transportation to/from the airport and places like General Luna. I have visited this resort twice and will continue to do so in the years ahead.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dieser Unterkunft und haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Die Anlage ist wunderschön und sehr gepflegt und sauber. Das Personal ist zuvorkommend und hilft bei jeglichen Anliegen gerne aus, von Flughafentransfer über Scooter-Verleih oder Wasch-Service. Die Eigentümer leben ebenfalls in der Anlage und sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und versorgten uns mit super Tipps für Sehenswürdigkeiten der Insel. Es gibt zwei Katzen und einen Hund, die sehr zutraulich sind. Das Essen hat und rundum gut geschmeckt, es wird immer frisch gekocht. Wir verbrachten hier einen unserer schönsten Aufenthalte auf den Philippinen und würden jederzeit gerne wieder kommen.

We had a nice stay in a beautiful setting. The place is thoughtfully designed and has a lovely atmosphere. Unfortunately, the weather was quite stormy during our visit, so we didn’t get much sleep. I can imagine that in good weather, this would be an peaceful and relaxing place. The beds were comfortable, and the food was good, which made our stay enjoyable overall.

El restaurante está bien, pero la relación calidad/precio no es de la mejores. Los precios son alto para la calidad de la comida. Las personas externas (no huéspedes) pueden acceder a las instalaciones de playa y hamacas, lo que a veces, especialmente si hay niños o grupos familiares rompe el encanto del hogar. Nosotros tuvimos un sábado que levantarnos y irnos a dar una vuelta porqué dos familias se pasaron la tarde con los niños invadiendo y no respetando la paz y tranquilidad del hogar.

This is a truly amazing place to stay at Siargao island when you are looking for a peaceful and secluded retreat. It's located in the northern part of the island which is quite uncrowded. I loved everything about this place! The cottage was exceptionally clean and equipped with all basic required amenities. We had luck to be right on the beachfront and enjoyed the views from our window and from the cozy terrace accompanied by the sound of waves. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the selection was large. Moreover, there was an option to order your own custom meal (not guaranteed, but always worked for us). The supermarket is only 5 minutes walk from the place which is very important for this part of the island. The resort has only 6 cottages - 5 for guests and the one is occupied by the Owner couple. The owners are always around and assist with all your issues and requests - starting from renting a basin for the wash and ending with arranging the airport transfer, scooter and tuc-tuc rent. Thank you so much for this place and for all you do for your guests!

Le nord de l'île est juste splendide, la localisation de l'hôtel permet d'apprécier aussi bien le lever que le coucher du soleil. Les bungalows sont impeccables, le jardin magnifique et l'accès à la plage privée rend l'endroit encore plus féerique. Le personnel est aux petits soins, la nourriture délicieuse et on vous conseille pour la location de scooter (livré directement à l'hôtel) ou les cours de surf (un super shop ou vous pouvez prendre des cours ou juste louer votre planche se trouve à 2min en scooter). Bref, je recommande ce havre de paix🥰

The place is exactly what you need for a relaxing getaway that will definitely keep you in touch with yourself and nature. Beautiful view of the beach and abundant trees and flowers. A must experience visit when in Siargao.

Too little time to stay... wish could have stayed longer!

This place is perfect for a relaxing holiday. Although it is quite remote, that is the attraction. It has the feel of a little private beach just a few steps from your bungalow.. There is a restaurant on site serving from breakfast right up until 7 pm for dinner and we did not have any bad meals. It is self sufficient for energy therefore not affected by the power outages these small islands are prone to. I recommend renting a scooter in order to get around a little bit as Tuktuks aren't easy to find. Approx 20 mins by bike is Pacifico beach which is popular with the surfing community and has some bars and restaurants for a change of scenery if you need it.

We rented four cabins, which meant we mostly had the place to ourselves. That was really nice. It’s in a quiet area, far from the hustle and bustle of general luna. We had so much fun swimming/walking on the beach and collecting seashells. The food was great and the staff was very kind and helpful.

The water pressure in the shower was a bit weak. Also, there were some creepy crawlies around the area - but even the cleanest of beach resorts would have those.

Great location and friendly hotel owner! Will be back next time we are in North Siargao!

Bed set up

Nice bugalows in a peaceful area, close to the beautiful Alegria beach. Clean, comfortable rooms with nice balconies. We didn’t have any problems with shower, warm water or AC. The staff wes very friendly and helpful, and the restaurant offers plenty of menu options. Would definitely recommend.

Estuve hace unos días con mi mejor amiga y lo pasamos genial. Los dueños son una pareja encantadora que estuvo a nuestra disposición en todo momento e hizo que nuestra estancia fuera perfecta. El lugar es increíble. Las instalaciones de la cabaña son perfectas. Tienen zonas comunes para los huéspedes que también son fantásticas, además de un acceso directo a la playa con hamacas y mesas. El restaurante tiene una carta muy variada y la comida está riquísima. Por último, me gustaría nombrar a Bella (la perrita) y a su gatito, que son encantadores y hacen de la estancia aún más bonita. En conclusión, el lugar es súper bonito, acogedor y mágico. En cuanto tenga la oportunidad, volveré al 100%.

White sand beach with privacy feels like heaven. Great variety in their menu, really good food. We had dinner and breakfast. Comfy atmosphere and it feels like a little paradise !

The location is fantastic, by the beach, very few people on the beach. The property is away from the road, cannot hear any traffic. A truly tranquil location with the native style huts set in a lovely garden. The rooms are comfy with fan and ac and bathroom a decent size. Each room has its own veranda with seating. The restaurant is good serving a wide range of local and international dishes. The hosts are wonderful, helpful and kind. Renting a scooter is a good way to get the nearby sights . Swimming at the beach is best around high tide. Such a great place to escape from the stresses of modern life.

The only reason I am giving the hotel 9/10 instead of a perfect score, is because for some strange reason the owner decided to fix some wooden parts on the outside of my cottage at 9am, they were hammering loudly on my cottage making it impossible to stay inside. Why not wait until the guest checks out?

Es un sitio precioso para alojarse los dias que estés en Alegria! El personal es encantador y el alojamiento precioso y tranquilo. El bungalow está muy completo y no le falta de nada. Con zona de relax, entrada directa a la playa, alquiler de moto y la comida estaba exquisita! Fue una pena no poder quedarnos mas dias pero si volvemos a siargao repetiremos seguro!!

El lugar es tranquilo. Está alejado del bullicio de General Luna pero perfecto para desconectar, surfear en las playas del norte y estar más cerca de la cultura local.

The room was fantastic and the staff were very nice! You could walk to the beach from your room. If you want a quiet place to stay to relax, this is the place for you. They have Starlink internet and A/C. I would recommend getting a scooter to get around. It was my first stop on my trip and definitely the best so far!

Sehr Ruhe Lage, der perfekte Ort um einfach mal zur Ruhe zu kommen. Die Bungalows waren zwar sehr klein, dafür aber sehr sauber. Das essen war sehr lecker und die Preise dazu absolut in Ordnung. Der kleine strandabschnitt ist sehr schön, wir sind zum Großteil immer allein dort gewesen.

Auflagen für die Sonnenstrahlen wären toll, aufgrund des häufig wechselnden Wetters aber wirklich zwecklos
