No funcionaba la cisterna ni hay agua caliente.

Ens vam allotjar aquí per recomanació d’un familiar. Tot i això, la nostra experiència al Kaha Island no va ser satisfactòria. Entre altres problemes, la cisterna del vàter no funcionava, l’aigua no tenia prou pressió i gairebé no sortia per la dutxa; a més, quan en sortia, estava freda. Durant els tres dies d’estada no van netejar l’habitació en cap moment, i el personal de l’allotjament només va estar present el dia del check-in. En general, el servei i el manteniment de les instal·lacions no van complir les nostres expectatives.

De kamer was ruim met een heerlijk groot bed! De gedeelde ruimte was ook erg mooi.

Mooi huis op een goede locatie, met fijne kamers. Een paar minuten lopen en je bent op een prachtig strandje waar bijna niemand het bestaan van weet.

Er zijn regelmatig power cuts in het noorden van Siargao, geen probleem als je hier op voorbereid bent, maar bij de check in werd hier niks over gezegd. Er waren geen lampjes op batterijen of kaarsen, waardoor we 5u in het donker zaten. De badkamer was daarnaast prima, maar functioneerde niet helemaal. Waterdruk was erg laag en het toilet trok niet door.

Lovely and peaceful place, with a clean dormitory and nice staff! Perfect location for surfing, but a motorbike is necessary for anything else.

Highly recommend kaha island stay. I stayed twice in both private room and in the dorm. Clean comfortable, great location and staff.

Wow ! Après deux mois passés dans des hostels qui vous traitaient comme des sous-invités, quel bonheur ce fut de séjourner à Kaha !! L'hostel est très belle, bien décorée. Le dortoir est spacieux, confortable, bien pensé. Vous aurez des draps et serviette de bain en coton (le luxe !). Et les dames du personnel sont adorables, ultra accueillantes et à l'écoute de vos moindres besoins. L'emplacement pourrait faire peur mais moi j'ai trouvé que c'était un réel atout : vous êtes à moins d'une minute à pied d'une plage magnifique et très calme, on peut même y surfer ! Oui, il faut prendre le scooter pour vos repas etc, mais on se sent tellement bien dans cet endroit que ça en vaut la peine, promis ! Hésitez pas à nourrir les quelques chiens très maigres autour, ils sont super gentils 🙏

Malheureusement les têtes de douches ne fonctionnent vraiment pas bien, on est contraint de se laver avec le petit robinet et l'eau n'est pas chaude.

Haben in einem privaten Zimmer übernachtet. Einrichtung ist sehr schön und das Bett war sehr bequem. Klimaanlage hat auch super funktioniert. Die Damen haben uns super beim Organisieren von Roller und Rücktransport zum Flughafen geholfen und waren sehr nett. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und Strand zum Surfen nur wenige Meter entfernt. Haben es sehr genossen!

Kein Warmwasser (wurde aber gleich beim Einchecken erwähnt) und sehr hellhörige Wände (wenn dein Nachbar nicht laut ist kein Problem)

El agua era FRÍA y te tenías que duchar con una palangana. El ruido que hay no te lo puedes imaginar, justo pegado al alojamiento se hace una reunión por las noches de todos los vecinos, con música, gritos, niños jugando … hasta altas hora de la madrugada. APASIONANTE. Nos acusaron falsamente de rascar la moto que alquilamos y tras mucho discutir tuvimos que darle la mitad del dinero que nos pedían de lo que nos agobiaron. Un insulto. Mi amiga ( que no condujo en su vida ) se rascó haciendo surf en Pacífico. El alojamiento aprovechó esto para inventar que esas heridas eran de un accidente de moto mientras ella conducía, puesto que yo no estaba herida, e incluso llegaron a decir que un vecino la vio accidentada. Increíble todo. Le pedimos fotos de la moto previas al alquiler pero no tenían.

The dorm room was really nice and the bathroom was really pretty. The staff is helpful and always around if you need something.

J’avais réservé et prépayé ma chambre au KHA Hostel. À mon arrivée à 20h, on m’a refusé l’accès, malgré la confirmation de réservation. Il était prévu que je reste seulement deux heures, ce qui rend ce refus encore plus incompréhensible. Aucune solution ni remboursement ne m’a été proposée sur place. Je déconseille fortement cet établissement pour son manque de professionnalisme et de respect des engagements envers les clients.

Great place for everyone who wants to stay in a quiet area with a lot of nature. You will need a motorcycle to move around though, but the hostel had a bike rental which was great, besides the helmets.

During our stay the power in the area went out a couple if times, once even a whole night, which obviously made our stay a lot less comfortable as the AC didn’t work. That being said, it wasn’t the Hostels fault that there was no power and you probably can’t expect a generator from a small hostel.

Beautiful stay in a more quiet area rig by by the beach.

I pre-paid for my room weeks in advance. I arrived after dark and was told bluntly that the owner had allowed the couple previously staying in my room to extend their stay, meaning I was left without a room. I stayed in the dorm that night as I was too tired to look for another hotel, but the second night I did stay elsewhere. I was not refunded for the second night. Altogether unacceptable behavior from the owner and not a way to run a business. I would never book here again and would warn others against it.

Hostel récent et très joli, très propre, accès direct à pied à la plage de Tangbo. Dortoir spacieux et confortables.

Marilou is a strong and nice woman. She is the owner and she is always there to support with anything. Beautiful place well located and the room was clean and spacious.

- Super nettes Personal, haben uns bei allen Fragen weitergeholfen (bspw. ein tuktuk nach General Luna bei unserer Abreise organisiert) - sehr sauber, schönes Einzelzimmer, bequemes Bett, Klimaanlage hat gut funktioniert - Wir konnten einen Roller für 400 PHP/Tag ausleihen, das war sehr unkompliziert und auch die Rückgabe war kein Problem - Man hat auch eine Küche und einen Kühlschrank falls man selbst was Kochen will

- das einzige was verbesserungsfähig ist ist zum einen die Dusche, der Wasserdruck war leider so gering, dass nur ein winziger Strahl aus dem Duschkopf kam. Lange Haare waschen ist da sehr schwierig gewesen. - zum anderen war das WLAN in den Zimmern nicht besonders gut bzw. ist immer mal wieder komplett ausgefallen. Im Gemeinschaftsbereich hat es aber meistens gut funktioniert - krähende Hähne und bellende Hunde früh morgens, aber das war zu erwarten, man ist halt auf dem Dorf 😄

Stayed last weekend for 3 nights and had such a great experience. The place was spotless, but what really stood out was the amazing staff — always helpful, friendly, and smiling. They truly make you feel welcome and at home. The sunset view from the private room window was beautiful too. Huge thanks and well done to the whole team!

Please change the Wi-Fi password — it’s a bit confusing at the moment, especially when signing in on different devices. It doesn’t need to be complicated; something simple and easy to remember would be much better.

The room was alright

The hot water in the shower is not fixed yet (I saw other comments from months ago complaining about) I'm not sure what's the idea of this place, but people are sleeping all around, the staff seems inexistent. A lot of work in progress in the building. Wifi not working properly and when it did, it was super slow

Loved the location of the property, just a five min walk from the shore! It’s in the northern part of the island so it’s a lot more peaceful than the central area. The lounging /common area was such a nice ang cozy space to hang out in.

The plugs in our room were all international type outlets, so my local plug couldn’t fit and I wasn’t able to charge my phone

This is a very small hostel with limited capacity, so you can expect a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The whole area is really peaceful. You’ll definitely need to have a scooter to get around. The dorms are sparkling clean. There's a fully equipped kitchen available, even with some basic spices. Beds are large and comfortable, and the linens and pillow are probably the nicest I’ve ever had in a hostel. There are two air conditioners, and there’s also a cozy indoor seating area with books. Free unlimited drinking water available. I extended my stay several times directly on site.

To improve: One of the toilets is missing a toilet seat, and the other one has a constant water leak. I really don’t understand how such a pleasant place can overlook such obvious issues!

The showeroom is the best I’ve been in for siargao! Beautiful hostel and wonderful staff, the beds were comfortable just not the right time to surf around that area but would definitely stay there again when the surf is in season.

All good, the only problem was another guest, from an specific country (you can imagine, starts with 'i') that was very agressive and rude. The rest was perfect!

I would not stay here again. There was no hot water, despite the listing on Booking.com stating otherwise. When I brought this up with the host, their response was: “Try to figure out the year, ma’am. It’s already 2022, there’s been a lot of changes throughout the years.” Instead of addressing the issue, they were dismissive and unhelpful. Very disappointing experience.

Kaha island stay is a really great choice if you want a chill, relaxing stay in the North for not too expensive. The accommodation was in a lovely location and had scooters available to rent directly through them, this made getting around so much easier. We booked the double beds in a shared room, they were huge and so comfortable. The staff are quiet but friendly. There is nothing bad to say about this property, we had a wonderful stay.

This place is a gem. The facilities are amazing the location is perfect. But what made the experience the best was the staff. So thank a lot Reygine Marian Marilou

I liked the layout of the dorm room. It gave me plenty of space to assemble my surfboards. There are two ACs in the dorm room and they were plenty strong. The toilet is in a separate room from the shower, so no wet seats.

The water pressure in the showers was very weak. Wifi didn't reach the dorm. You had to go to the living room to get reception. The toilets were often out of toilet paper. One of the toilets is missing a seat and lid. There was one power outage that lasted a whole day. Maybe get batteries to store energy from the solar panels?

Such a gorgeous location- only a few minute walk from the beach in a small town only lived in my local Filipinos. This also is the best form I’ve stayed in over the past month in the Phillipines - super comfy bed, good AC, clean, stylish, and above all there was enough space!! Also nice to have the outdoor bathrooms and communal area.

The staff were really sweet but rather inconsistent communicators - they quoted me 400 pesos/day for my bike and when it arrived they said it was 500/day due to the model they’d arranged. It was also tricky to get their help to book a Tuktuk, they gave inaccurate advice re the local food options (saying things were closed when they weren’t), and my laundry came back later than planned (almost after checkout) still smelling dirty. They tried really hard to hard though, were always friendly, and kept the place nice and clean.
