Spacious ‘resort’ with nice garden. Lovely cottages with bedroom, extra side room with desk and fridge, and hot shower bathroom. Clean big pool. Food was okay.

A bit far from Park entrance, but that was our own ‘mistake’. Bit remote from town so besides a safari tour you’ll probably stay at resort. No problem, relaxing atmosphere and drinks & food available. A pool issue with tiles will be fixed in the next few days.

De omgeving is fantastisch en het zwembad heerlijk, vooral na een lange dag Safari. We hebben ook heerlijk gegeten, een volledige vismaaltijd. We waren er achteraf graag nog wat langer gebleven.

The pool was amazing. Staff were so kind and caring. Breakfast was great and when we left for safari at 4.40 am they made us a packed breakfast!

Yala Peace Cottage ist wirklich eine sehr schöne Anlage. Super nette Leute, komfortable Zimmer, gutes Essen. Den Pool haben wir nicht genutzt, sah aber sauber aus. Wir haben direkt über das Hotel eine Safaritour gebucht, die wirklich Klasse war. Unser Fahrer war super. Ein sehr herzlicher Ort zu dem man gerne wieder kommt. Es ist etwas abseits gelegen, es gibt aber eigentlich auch keinen Grund in die Stadt zu müssen.

La gentillesse des hôtes. Superbe piscine et jardin arboré. Très bon restaurant, plat mixte de poissons grillés délicieux. La chambre en bungalow est spacieuse avec lits confortables. Très bon point de départ pour visiter le parc Yala avec petit déjeuner en take away à la demande. Nous recommandons!

Where to start. Very tranquil setting with every amenity. Bit hard to find but once you have. Super. Cottages are spacious and well appointed, no wardrobes so living out of a suitcase but it didn't matter. Super sized shower. Staff are amazingly helpful and nice. Restaurant is fine. First meal we had was tuna - don't chose this, instead go for the Sri Lankan dishes we had bang rice and 3 curry rice to share between us. Sublime, one of the most tasty meals I have had in my 80 years of life. Would very willingly return here and 100% recommend.

WiFi a bit dodgy but hotspotted off my SL sim. My only problem area, which is not much of one I admit.

Sin da subito abbiamo amato questo luogo immerso nella pace e nella natura! Ampia piscina dove rilassarsi, cottages accoglienti con ampio bagno e bella veranda all'aperto. Personale gentilissimo e accogliente. Molto apprezzata la passeggiata nel pomeriggio nella zona circostante con guida esperta e l'adorabile cane Louna!

Non mi viene in mente nulla

Het complex ligt in het achterland maar heel erg rustig. De huisjes zijn erg ruim van binnen en de badkamer is enorm groot Ook hebben ze een heerlijke douche hier! In het zwembad kun je lekker afkoelen en je krijgt hier extra badlakens voor. Ook staan er fijne ligbedden bij het zwembad. Op de veranda bij het huisjes staan ook fijne lounge stoelen. Het locale eten (curry) in het restaurant is erg lekker! Wij hebben hier ook een safari geboekt naar Yala block 5. We hebben een erg leuke safari ochtend gehad met de neef van de eigenaar. Block 5 is veel rustiger dan Yala block 1 waar iedereen naartoe gaat. Ze hebben ook een comfortabel safari voertuig. Al met al een leuke plek om even lekker bij te komen.

De airco in het 1e huisje was stuk, maar dit werd direct opgelost door ons een ander huisje te geven. Eigenlijk viel alleen de pasta maaltijd van de eerste avond wat tegen. Je kunt hier beter locaal eten (curry). Die is wel super lekker!

Manju ist ein sehr netter Gastgeber und Reiseleiter, wir waren 10 Tage mit Manju in Sri Lanka unterwegs und wir hatten sehr viel Spaß! Er spricht sehr gut Deutsch und er konnte uns sehr viel über das Land erklären und auch zeigen. Am letzten Tag waren wir in Yala und haben noch 2 Tage bei Manju in seinem Hotel übernachtet. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön eingerichtet, und es gab einen schönen Pool, am Abed gab es noch leckere Meeresfrüchte und frischen Tunfisch und Manju hat für uns gekocht. Dann gab es noch diesen leckeren Kokosschnaps zum Abschliss. Morgens ging es dann um 5 Uhr auf die Safari, alles war bestens organisiert das Auto stand schon am Hotel bereit und Frühstücksbags gab es auch. Es war eine tolle Zeit in Sri Lanka! Danke Manju das du uns so viel von diesem schönen Land gezeigt hast und uns einen wunderschöne Urlaub bereitet hast. Bis bald! Wir kommen bald wieder!

Excelente! Preciosas cabañas cerca del parque nacional de Yala. El personal es muy atento y servicial! Manju nos gestionó los safaris a Yala. Un lugar tranquilo para desconectar! Gracias Manju por tu atención! 100 % recomendable!

La piscine mérite un rafraîchissement car carrelage cassé qui est dangereux pour les enfants, temps d’attente d’une heure après la commande donc il vaut mieux commander le midi pour le soir.

Immerso nel verde. Iper rilassante con spazi enormi e piscina a sfioro suggestiva. Buon ristorante interno. Abbiamo avuto una stanza famigliare che aveva un'ottima vivibilità, sia per quanto riguarda la parte notte sia anti bagno e bagno in sé. Se interessati, organizzano direttamente safari. Persone super carine e disponibili.

This charming hotel is set away from all the hustle and bustle, surrounded by rice fields and near a lake. Don’t miss the short walk there—it’s more of a pleasant stroll—with countless birds, a breathtaking sunset, and wonderful explanations from a hotel staff member who also guided us on safari the next morning. His deep knowledge of nature and sharp eye allowed us to spot wild animals we would have otherwise never seen. A truly unique moment was watching a monitor lizard drink from the pool. The Rice and Curry is also highly recommended—authentic, plentiful, and delicious

Fantastische host legt je in de watten, wat een fijne Sri lanka ervaring net buiten tissa. Goede bungalow, zwembad in de tuin. Kampvuur in de schemering Fijn eten, lekker ontbijt. Uitstekende uitvalsbasis voor een safari in yala.

Nice accommodation. They organized a safari in Yala National Park for us, which was great. The small swimming pool was also very nice.

The staff were friendly, though communication in English was a bit difficult.

nous avons apprécié le cadre de l hôtel ou l on se sent complètement dépaysé tout est fait pour nous accueillir de la meilleur façon la veille de notre arrivée pour organiser un safari et le jour où Manu nous prends en charge super gentiment. le personnel est très gentil et répond de la meilleure façon à nos demandes. le repas préparé par Manu lui même est excellent. pour le safari tout était bien organiser petit déjeuner et repas et surtout nous avons eu la chance d avoir le meilleur chauffeur et guide qui ne faisait pas la course comme les autres chauffeurs et prenait le temps de nous faire voir des choses fabuleuses un grand merci à Cesaree. nous recommandons à toute personne intéressée d y séjourner sans problème BRAVO MANU et son personnel

Sehr schöne abgelegene Lage. Zimmer riesig. Mit AC und Moskitonetzen. Sauberes Zimmer und Bad, ausser der Kühlschrank leider. Aber das hat nur minmal gestört. Pool einfach top bei den hohen Temperaturen. Super liebes Personal. Bestes Essen auf der ganzen Reise hier gegessen. Riesen Kompliment an Lady Chep. Auch Trip in den Park war toll. Guide Sisira war super lieb und hat alle getan damit wir Tiere sehen, dabei respektvoll im Umgang mit den Tieren/der Natur. Er hat einfach ein Adlerauge. Leider konnten wir keinen Geparden sehen weil genau da das Auto einen Motorschaden hatte. Aber Sisira hat den dann behoben und wir konnten weiter im Nationalpark fahren. Am nächsten Tag brachte er uns dann auch zum Bus. Am Ende des Feldweges hält der Bus der direkt bis nach Ella (und darüber hinaus )fährt.

The photos do not do this place justice! Rooms are fantastic, clean, comfortable and well stocked with all the basics. Pool was super clean. Food was some of the best we had during our entire holiday. Staff especially the host Mandul were so friendly. We even spent the evening drinking with Mandul and learning about his family and Sri Lankan culture. Cottages are a little way from the main strip of restaurants if walking in the dark but we were given a ride on the back of their scooter and got a Tuk Tuk home easily. An unbeatable experience!

Peaceful location. We really enjoyed the complementary wildlife walk around the nearby lake - lots of birds.

The room felt cramped and dark.

The rooms were very comfortable and the pool was perfect for dipping into on a hot day. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating and we had a wonderful stay with fantastic meals too.

Peaceful yet closely located to town for shops and restaurants. Great wildlife nearby. Safari driver is one of the best. Rooms huge, pool great size for kids and food in restaurant is best in Sri Lanka and great price.

We loved the rural setting. Food was great. Mandu organised our Jeep safaris. Pool was great and appreciated as weather was hot.

Sehr gepflegte , ruhige Anlage mit schönem, sauberem Pool. Viele Pfauen und andere Vögel, morgens ein Konzert. Essen sehr gut. Manager Manyu organisiert Safari, Fahrten, einfach alles.

Die Anlage liegt außerhalb, in die City muss man ein Fahrzeug nehmen.

Geweldige plek! Leuke cottages, schoon en comfortabel. Het personeel is super lief. Je zit midden in de natuur en wat meer afgelegen. Wij hebben 2 dagen in het restaurant van de accommodatie gegeten en dat was lekker! Ook voor kinderen zijn er wat gerechten te krijgen. We hadden de safari vanuit hier geregeld, dit was ook heel erg fijn!

The location is wonderful, especially if you are doing safari. The owner was nice, offering tours, etc. The size of the room was excellent, all the appliences were present and working.

We really wanted to like this place, as it offers many amenities that seem ideal for a relaxing stay — a swimming pool, separate cottages, and expansive green spaces. The reality turned out to be somehow different. First, the swimming pool water was not as clean as we expected. The water was milky and we found out that the filtration system is turned off when the pool is not in use, which likely explains the water quality. The rooms are large but incredibly dark. The lighting is weak, the brown walls make the space feel depressing, and the wooden windows only add to the claustrophobic atmosphere. It's baffling that a property in such a beautiful natural setting would have rooms designed to make you feel like you're staying in a cave rather than embracing the outdoors. Additionally, the property is situated in a swampy area, so we were surprised to find that there were no mosquito nets on the windows. A better solution, like mosquito nets or electric repellents, would have made the stay much more comfortable. Even the mosquito net provided over the bed was too small and didn’t fit properly. Lastly, the cleanliness of the bathroom was a major concern. Even with the dim lighting, it was clear that it had not been properly cleaned. Lifting the toilet seat revealed an unpleasant surprise that left us quite disappointed. We ended up leaving early the next morning and won't be returning

Le calme, le chant des oiseaux et l'accueil chaleureux

Un vrai havre de paix l'hôtel est juste magnifique et au milieu de la nature vois avez la possibilite de vous balader autour du lac pas loin. Les chambres son tres spacieuses, propre avec une deco qui rapelle la nature. Le personnel est tres bienveillance une mention speciale pour le proprietaire Manju qui est juste adorable. Je recommande également le restaurant nous avon dîné et c'etait délicieuse et frais. Le petit dej est également top. Une chose est sure je reviendrai.

Very nice stuff, owner Manju, can organize you great safari. We were driven buy one of personel, had a great experience! Breakfast very rich and very good. Place also have their own restaurant, recommend to try as much as you can, very tasty food. Nice pool great for cooling down after safari. Quiet and exotic place.

Exceptionnel... au calme 4 superbes bungalows avec une piscine, à 10 mètres, au milieu des cocotiers, ouverte jusqu'à 22h... c est calme et moins dangereux que les plages du sud. Grand cottage, literie excellente. Les hôtes sont super sympas, nous avons discuté longuement avec eux après le repas. Très bon restaurant sur place, poisson frais vu avant la cuisson. Idéalement placé pour un Safari au parc national de Yala. Le matin ils nous ont prêté des scooters pour aller admirer un lac a 5 min, un de ses amis nous a accompagné, faune (nombreux oiseaux, iguanes et un crocodile !!!) et sa flore Petit déjeuner compris succulent et gargantuesque

It was a great visit! The hotel is situated in a nice area with a possibility to relax and enjoy the surroundings. One of the staff members took us on a walk to look for crocodiles, birds and unusual plants. Great opportunity to explore the rural area. The food was good as well as the pool.

Le calme, peu de cottages de peu de monde, belle piscine avec transats, chambres spacieuses tout comme la salle de bain, restaurant excellent, personnel adorable, safari bien organisé et guide très compétent. Authenticité avec les locaux, belle balade au bord du lac.

La chambre n’etait pas d'une propreté irréprochable, mais c'est correct. Nous n'avons pas eu d'eau chaude, mais la douche à l'eau « froide » est tout à fait possible :)

Welch eine schöne einsame Anlage, ein wunderbar ruhiger Ort, nur umgeben von Naturgeräuschen! Toller Pool, Besitzer hilft beim Organisieren, auch von Safaris oder Touren. Das gesamte Personal ist supernett. Wir haben der Einfachheit halber auch dort zweimal zu Abend gegessen (hätte mehr Fleisch/Garnelen enthalten können!!!) und haben die Idylle (ausser zur Safari) nicht verlassen (müssen). Die Liegestühle auf der netten Terrasse sowie im Restaurant wären mit entsprechenden Auflagen/Polstern noch schöner und gemütlicher. Gerne wieder!!!

Le bungalow est très confortable, propre et spacieux. La piscine est super. Le personnel est accueillant et au petit soin. Restaurant top et petit déjeuner également ! Nous aurions aimé y rester plus longtemps!

This place is a true heaven in sri lanka. Its like jungle style with beutiful pool and wonderful garden. We didnt eat but tripadvisor says they have one of best restaurants. Rooms are big, beds are comfortable and everything is very clean. Also pool is big and clean for swimming. Owner can arrange you safari in yala (but yala safari for my opinion is waste of money, overcrowded and we hardly saw any animal).

No card payment (like in most other srilankan hotels). Far away of everything (but this is maybe a good thing)

Manju is een super fijne gastheer en neemt je graag mee in al het moois dat Sri Lanka te bieden heeft. Erg leuk park met 6 enige huisjes met in het midden een heerlijk zwembad. Rustig gelegen.. lekkere grote bedden.

Odour of freshener Poor light

Staff were super helpful and friendly. Took us on a walk around the lake, organised a safari and kept our 2 year old constantly supplied with banana's. The room was also bigger than expected with and additional small room we didn't see in the photos with a fridge and kettle.

Bumpy ride to get to the place and a bit out of the closest town but it didn't matter as it was a great spot to relax and eat anyway.

Super einzigartige Unterkunft direkt in der Natur am Rande des Yala National Parks gelegen. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und erfüllen jeden Wunsch. Sie haben uns eine super Safari organisiert.

Stedet ligger midt i naturen med en dejlig pool. Hytterne er primitive men rene, og værten var meget behjælpelig med at arrangere safari og kørsel til os.

Just note that if you intend to make a safari, the prices are almost twice as expensive as if you go in the city. Another point: impossible to pay by card.

Sehr schöne Anlage außerhalb der Ortschaft. Wir konnten viele wunderschöne Vögel von unserer Hütte aus beobachten. Zudem erklärte uns ein Mitarbeiter auf einem Spaziergang zum nahegelegenen See vieles über die Tiere und Pflanzen. Das Management organisierte für uns einen Ausflug zum Nationalpark mit einem Fahrer, der ein gutes Auge für die Flora und Fauna hatte. Die spätere Entspannung am Pool und ein gutes Abendessen haben wunderbaren Tag abgeschlossen.

Keine Kreditkartenzahlung, schlechtes WLAN.

Als wir angekommen sind , wurden wir herzlich begrüsst und der Besitzer Manju hat uns direkt mitgenommen für eine kleine Nachttour um Tiere wie Krokodile und den Sonnenuntergang über den See anzuschauen. Das Essen war mega lecker und das Zimmer gross, sauber und bequem! Man kann direkt eine Safari buchen, was wir gemacht haben, es war megaaaa! Auch andere Aktivitäten kann man direkt bei Manju buchen er bietet Touren für ganz Sri Lanka an. Danke für den perfekten Aufenthalt, wir kommen wieder🙂

We had contact with the owner prior the the arrival and organized a safari with him. The safari was good, we saw many animals and the driver left the animals space if they needed or wanted to cross the road. The place itself is nice, very big houses and a huge bed. With AC nice temperature in the room. The area around the houses is well cared for and there is a nice pool and even the possibility to walk to a lake nearby (we didn't do it, as it was dark). We ate diner there and it was very nice, also the packed food for the safari was delicious.

Sadly the driver of the organized safari had very limited english skills. The place is a bit off the main part, but to be honest, there aren't more restaurant in the 'city' so eating at the hotel is perfectly fine. The mosquito net was too small for the bed, but with AC we had no problem with them anyways.

A very quiet jungle type accommodation. Lovey cottages with lots of space and a veranda. Nice clean swimming to relax after a trek in the Jungle. One of the staff took for an evening tour around the lake. No charge, it was nice to all the wild birds. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. Manju, the owner, is an official Tour Guide, so if you need help in visiting places, Manju is your man.

This is very peaceful place, few cottages in the middle of nowhere. Peacocks are walking around, you can hear birds singing all the time.

Posizione incantevole immersa nella natura. La villa è molto grande tutto pulito e ben curato la piscina favolosa. Cibo veramente eccezionale. Abbiamo fatto anche una bella passeggiata accompagnati da un ragazzo, fino al lago vicino al tramonto fantastico e il giorno dopo abbiamo fatto il Safari. Peccato aver prenotato solo per due notti 😃
