Op deze plek kun je prima even bijkomen en het ligt op een goede locatie mocht je een safari gepland hebben.

Het ligt nog best wel ver weg van het centrum, daar kun je niet even vlug heen lopen. De gordijnen waren doorschijnend. Daardoor voelde het in de avond een beetje alsof je bekeken wordt.

It was one of the best stays I've had in Sri Lanka! There's no better way of saying it. The hosting family is exceptionally kind and helpful. Food was abolutely authentic Sri Lankan. I'd recommend Shine park for anyone who is looking for truly authentic Sri Lankan hospitality. Location is great too. It is just few minutes of driving to major attractions /20-30 minute walk

Just two things, Our room didn't have a mosquito net or a towel rack which I think are need for a tropical country and the door lock in our room was broken. The room my parents stayed had a mosquito net and the lock was fine. Towel rack was not available.

Este es el modelo de alojamiento que me gusta encontrar en mis viajes por el mundo. Si lo que te gusta son los hoteles de lujo, no vengas, pero si lo que quieres es un alojamiento agradable y tener contacto con los propietarios (la familia vive en el piso de abajo), no dudes en venir aquí. Las habitaciones son muy amplias y con aire acondicionado. El desayuno muy bueno. Los propietarios muy agradables. Hiciemos en safari con el propietario y fue un acierto total (conocedor del parque y gracias a su perseverancia tuvimos la suerte de ver hasta 4 leopardos (más todo lo habitual). Para la cena hablamos con los propietarios y la señora nos cocinó una cena excelente a un precio justo.

Solo decir que el agua caliente de la ducho no funcionaba todo lo bien que esperaba. La instalación está, así que el problema era que no lo acabé de entender.

La comodidad de las camas y el desayuno que nos preparo para el safari.

Reservamos dos habitaciones y eran muy diferentes. Una de ellas estaba muy limpia mientras que la otra estaba sucia, el baño tenía pelos por las paredes del huésped anterior y había muchos bichos. Además, le pedimos dejar las maletas una hora más tarde del check out y nos ofreció dejarlas fueras en el porche.

Nice place and worth the money.

the double bed room was big and comfy. bathrooms were big as well. air cons and fans working. the lady that manages the place is lovely and fun, she prepared some breakfast for us in the morning when we return from the safari. there is possibility to organise the safari with her husband. you also have a burger place in front of the house and in 100m you have many restaurants. for what you pay this place is a great deal.

La casa è molto bella, accogliente e tranquilla! La camera è grande e pulita! La famiglia è accogliente e disponibile e la colazione è buona e abbondante! Noi ci siamo stati solo di passaggio una notte dopo il safari a Yala, molto consigliato!!

Safari from Homestay man was ok

Homestay people unfriendly, only want your money. Poor breakfast. Even payment for Homestay she wanted more. Women Homestay is the boss and look after the money. When you arrive you think it’s nice, but they want you to book a safari with them for expensive price, that’s their income. We stayed in many homestays in different countries, but this was the worst. When we left, they asked for good review. That’s why their score is high and not reality! Also WiFi very bad. Airco not working ok.

Trochu chladnejšie privítanie, možno preto , že sme si nerezervovali cez nich safari, Raňajky veľmi skromne

Chambre propre et spacieuse. Ça ressemble plus à un hôtel qu'une guesthouse et une relation plus client qu'à l'habitude. Mais très sympa. De weerawila junction (100 rps) ou tissa (40 rps), prendre un bus pour kataragama et s'arrêter à 150m de l'hôtel. Facile et bon marché comparé au tuk tuk.

I stayed here for two nights. The room was clean, which I appreciated. However, the balcony room I booked did not have a private balcony as advertised, only access to a corridor. Unfortunately, my experience with the owner was disappointing. Communication was poor, especially when I arrived late at night, and I found his behavior rude and unwelcoming. On the second night, he disturbed me around 11 PM and spoke aggressively, even though I had already paid for my stay. I also felt that my privacy was not respected. The property is quiet, but guests should be aware of strict rules regarding being outside or making phone calls after 11 PM. The breakfast was very basic, consisting of a banana, two slices of bread, butter, and jam. Overall, while the room was clean, I would not recommend this property due to the owner's attitude and the overall guest experience.

Vi bodde her en natt for å dra på safari i Yala nasjonalpark. Rommene var rene, de hadde velfungerende aircondition og personalet var veldig hyggelige. Anbefaler å booke safari med de som leier ut rommet, vi hadde en så fin opplevelse!

Nice clean room. Although I did not take safari tour with the host they were kind enough to agree for late checkout and breakfast after I arrived from other company tour at noon.

We loved everything! The room was specious, clean and comfortable with AC. The biggest advantage of this place was safari organised by the host Janeka, who took us 2 times to Yala NP. Our experience was out of this world! We saw 6 leopards and 2 encounters were very special because we spent such a long time with it without a single car around us. He is an amazing guide, very respectful for the wild life and we felt extremely safe even driving on crazy roads. We will never forget those days. The included breakfast was excellent made takeaway for safari. The whole family was helpful and welcoming. There is also a lovely restaurant right in front of the homestay. If you want a beautiful place to stay with unforgettable safari experience this is for you! We will be back. Thank you Yaneka and family!!

i booked 2 double room but when i reach they told me they have only another room available but asked me to pay extra

An sich eine Top Unterkunft, nicht direkt im Stadtzentrum aber in der Nähe gibt es genügend Restaurants und Läden. Wenn man doch mal in die Stadt möchte, sind es auch nur ca 11 Minuten mit dem Tuk Tuk.

Die Unterkunft bietet zwar Wifi an, allerdings ist das nicht wirklich gut und bieten so gut wie kein Empfang und auch mit dem Handy hat man kein gutes Netz

La famille m’a très bien accueilli, la chambre était très propre, tres calme, très agréable. Ils m’ont proposé de faire le safari Yala avec une personne qu’ils connaissaient et ce fut un moment magique. Merci pour ce superbe séjour.

Lorsque l’ont allume la lumière les voisins juste en face peuvent nous voir car il n’y a pas de rideaux opaques, ils sont vraiment fins et transparents mais c’est un détail.

Sehr sauberes Bett und Badezimmer Lage mit eigenem Verkehrsmittel super, sonst etwas abgelegen. Frühstück lecker aber nix besonderes. Wir haben die Yala Tour direkt vor Ort gebucht. War eine echt super Erfahrung, wir sind mit dem Host un seinem eigenem professionellen Truck gefahren. Super Preis, für drei Personen 72 000, war sogar einer privat Tour. Er ist auf alle unsere Wünsche eingegangen.

Direkt nach der Buchung wurden wir auch schon angerufen ob wir eine Safari mitmachen wollen. Hat super geklappt. Wir hatten nur wohl etwas Pech, da wir so gut wie keine Tiere gesehen hatten. Auf dem Weg zum Park haben wir noch weitere Personen abgeholt, somit erst kurz vor 6 Uhr morgens am Park gewesen. Vor uns waren schon sehr viele Autos. Für uns hat sich die Safari nicht gelohnt. Die Unterkunft war groß und sauber. Die Besitzerin hat uns einen guten Friseur in der Stadt empfohlen

Wir hatten eine tolle Safari direkt mit dem Gastgeber der Unterkunft, die vorab Buchung hat wunderbar geklappt. Die Gastgeber sind super nett. Das Frühstück: wir bekamen Spiegeleier, ungetosteten Toast u. Bananen - hätte besser sein können Für den Preis kann man allerdings auch nichts erwarten. Wenn man für eine Nacht da ist für die Safari können wir hierfür trotz allem eine Empfehlung geben.

Leider war das Zimmer ziemlich abgenutzt und in die Jahre gekommen. Die Badezimmertüre ließ sich nicht schließen, da alles verostet u. Die klinke kaputt war. Die Matratze vom Bett war sehr abgenutzt u. Man spürte kleine Hubbel unter sich .

The room is big and clean, with AC and warm water. That's good value for money. They can arrange Yala tours, which will then be executed by a third party.

The drain was clogged in my room. So, if you used the sink, wastewater would come up through the shower well and overflow the shower floor. My guess is that this is a fixable problem.

La habitación impecable. Muy bien de precio. La casa tiene un jardín muy bonito.

Chybělo například mýdlo, fén, pitná voda, rychlovarná konvice...

Lähdimme aamulla safarille, joten saimme jeepissä aamiasboxit mukaan. Emme syöneet aamiaista majoituspaikassa. Huone oli siisti. Isäntä vei meidät safarille.

Viestittely safarista oli etukäteen hankalaa. Saimme vain lyhyitä vastauksia, ja piti kysyä moneen kertaan, ennen kuin asia selvisi. Tissamaharamassa paikkana ei ole mielestäni mitään nähtävää. Jos on tarkoitus viipyä yhtä yötä kauemmin, voisi olla hyvä ajatus ottaa majoitus, jossa on uima-allas tai jotain aktiviteettia. Tulimme tänne vain ja ainoastaan Yala-safarin takia.

The place is in a quite street near a lake and the family that is hosting this stay is really helpful and friendly. The balcony is really big and there is hot water in the shower.

It was a bit moldy on the ceiling which is not so easy to control at this temperatures and humidity. But people with asthma might not stay in this place.

Las vistas de la azotea eran increíbles. El resto estaba bien para el precio. Personal muy amable.

Todo fue genial, el recibimiento, el sitio, la habitación y encima cogimos el safari con el mismo dueño de la casa. Ese día tuvimos suerte, pudimos ver el leopardo, los elefantes, varios búfalos, cocodrilos y demás. Nos hizo muy buen precio e íbamos las dos solas. Un lujazo la verdad.

We stayed at Shine Park with the whole family and booked two rooms. The rooms were spacious and adequate for our needs. Breakfast was excellent, and the owners were very friendly and helpful. It looks like some renovations are in progress, and once completed the place will be even better. The owner also has a safari jeep and offers tours to Yala, which is very convenient. For the money we spent, the service and overall experience were excellent.

La amabilidad del dueño y el espacio de la habitación.

La conexión con el wifi. El whats sí que iba correctamente, pero las demás app no cargaban. Solo se paga en cash. Importante saberlo.

Room was clean and had really good AC and hot shower. The owners were super friendly and we booked the full day safari with them. Had a great day with a decent size delicious breakfast and lunch included. Spent a lot of time carefully looking for leopards and managed to spot 3! Janaca was a great guide and managed to get us to see one of the leopards before any other jeeps arrived. Would recommend as a good place to stay and book the safari with!
