Reviewed Sep 8, 2026I paid £250 for 2 nights. When I arrived I asked for a quiet room. I was given the only single room, which I was told was the only one available, Room 1 at the front of the building which overlooks the A87. This is a major road which carries a lot of heavy traffic, cars, minibuses, lorries, coaches, motorbikes etc.. to and from Skye bridge. There is relentless traffic noise day and night. Due to the constant traffic noise, I could not rest and barely slept. I was charged £125 for this experience. The following day I was given another room, Room 5 located towards the side/back of the building.

La calefacción estaba encendida en verano y hacia demasiado calor en la habitación, apenas dormimos. Al estar junto a la carretera había ruido de tráfico si se abría la ventana para refrescar la habitación. Demasiado caro, se paga la ubicación estratégica para visitar Skye al haber pocos hoteles en la zona.

I stayed on a Monday when the bar was closed so facilities were more limited. My room did not have an en suite bathroom but instead a separate room across a corridor restricted for my use only. This was less than ideal although the bathroom itself was fine.

Reception was part of a low quality bar frequented by dubious looking patrons. Our booking was mislaid which took a while to sort out. Parking was a shambles as taken up by bar patrons. Une panne de courant nous a empêché (3 chambres sur 4 ) de prendre une douche, car chaque douche se commande électriquement. Dans notre chambre , située dans une partie plus vétuste de l'hôtel nous n'avions pas de courant, qui n'était pas rétabli à notre départ. Plus grave, malgré la coupure de courant le bloc de sécurité indiquant l'issue de secours n'était pas allumé. Je pense qu'il est urgent qu'une d'avoir une inspection de sécurité dans cet établissement pour garantir la sécurité des occupants. Aucune remise sur le prix de la location nous a été proposé malgré des prestations non disponibles. Les finitions sont négligées dans les chambres. La propreté est moyenne.

Parking was not available on site but across the street and we had to pay. The rooms were a bit outdates. There are not many places to eat in this small town (for dinner or breakfast).

Il rapporto qualità prezzo è un po’ sproporzionato. Le stanze sono piccole e manutenute al minimo, con il costo per notte ci si aspetterebbe un altro servizio. La doccia ad esempio difficile mantenere acqua calda per lavarsi in tranquillità, tende oscuranti che lasciano filtrare luce e quindi obbligano a svegliarsi molto presto. Inoltre per raggiungere Portree su isola di Skye bisogna comunque tenere in conto circa 50 minuti di percorrenza, forse allo stesso prezzo si trovano b&b sull’isola tenuti meglio.

All'interno della stanza era presente un forte e nauseante odore di fogna che proveniva dal bagno, tant'è che quando siamo stati accolti la stanza aveva tutte le finestre completamente spalancate per arieggiare ma purtroppo invano perché l'odore era veramente intenso. La pulizia complessiva della stanza non era buona (pieno di ragnatele in giro e polvere) oltre che un aspetto generale poco curato soprattutto nella zona bagno e ingresso. La signora che ci ha accolto disponibile e gentile.

No facilities open. Due to no staff on site experienced a customer banging constantly on the registration door for 30 minutes from 23:30 and then phone ringing constantly during this time. Another quest then when down and let them in. Although this is not the owners fault I said about on leaving but did not get any sympathy.

Reviewed Jun 20, 2026Our party of five had two rooms - a double and a triple. The rooms were very simple and clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Bathrooms were updated.
One of our showers had an issue, but management addressed it quickly.

Reviewed Jun 14, 2026La disponibilità del parcheggio gratuito e la posizione molto comoda per raggiungere l’isola di Skye. La signora alla reception molto gentile ci ha dato delle informazioni utili su dove mangiare.
Purtroppo, durante la doccia e’ finita l’acqua calda e non eravamo stati avvertiti che ci fosse una quantità limitata.
