Loved the view, cleanliness and location of the property. Though it is a bit away from the main market, it is just 350 rupees via cab from MG market. Ganesh tok is just 400m away. The host Alisa was very warm and took care of all our needs and went out of her way to make us feel at home. We had homely food and were guided very well. The views from our window were surreal. Could see all of Sikkim city surrounded by mountains.

I liked the aloo paratha with curd and pickel, served with coffee or chai and fresh fruits a lot. The hospitality trough Alisha was great. Hotel room was quiet, specious and location for me great near Ganeshtok where the Tsomgo Ultra marathon starts, I have participated.

We stayed here for three days and everything was perfectly clean. The location is excellent — quiet, peaceful, and with a beautiful view of the city. We recommend choosing a room with a balcony — it’s the best place to sit with a cup of tea and watch Gangtok unfold below. The hosts are incredibly kind and helpful, always ready to assist with anything you need.

Very clean, spacious and well furnished room with all amenities including kettle, tea and coffee. Great view to Gangtok and surroundings. 3 minutes walk to Ganesh tok where you also can see Kanchenjunga range if go 100 meters further. Himalayan zoo there as well. 15 minutes walk down to Enchey gompa and 15 minutes more to Ridge, Orchidarium and Royal palace. Very helpful staff, tasty food and good room service.

Les vues sont excellentes depuis l'hôtel mais il est un peu loin du centre ville pour y retourner à pied (la pente est incroyable). La descente à pied permet par contre de découvrir la ville et ses ruelles et passages cachés.

Spacious room, balcony view

My partner and I stayed at the property for three nights and the views from the balcony are simply gorgeous. The host Alisha was super responsive and took care of all our needs. On the day of the arrival, the national highway from Siliguri to Gangtok got shut and she constantly coordinated with us and tried to get us in touch with cab drivers. The property itself is located about 3 km away from the center of the city but it more than makes up for it by providing serenity and spectacular views of the city and surrounding mountains. The rooms are pretty but the lobby is an amazing place to sit and read, while sipping a cup of your favourite hot drunk. We were served breakfast each day and it was homemade, wholesome food. We just felt like we're staying at someone's home and would love to return here in the future.

Good budget hotel with mountain views, and nice and cooperative staff. Little far from main Gangtok city and market.

I booked this hotel believing that we won't have to climb stairs, because they had mentioned online that the whole property is on the ground floor. But they have 3 floors on the property, and we didn't get the ground floor rooms due to unavailability. Even to reach the dining area, we had to climb to another floor. My mother had to climb stairs painfully every time. They shouldn't put misleading information online.

Alisa and her small team at Di-Lac made our stay just perfect. Delicious breakfasts and dinners were served with helpful hints and tips for our visit to the area. She kindly organised taxis and excursions for us which we were so grateful for. Thank you so much! The hotel itself is a few kilometres above Gangtok. We stayed in one of the rooms with a balcony which I thoroughly recommend. Waking up to a fantastic view where the clouds kissed the mountains below really shouldn’t be missed. If you want to be surrounded by the hustle and bustle of MG Marg don’t stay here but if you want peace and quiet, fabulous views and the beautiful sound of birdsong, look no further.

Well when I first arrived at the place I was a bit disappointed because it's at a bit outscars of the city but trust me on day 2 my opinion completely changed. You just need a inr50 taxi journey to reach the city centre and the hotel is just beside the taxi stand. The thing that I loved the most about Di lac is it's stuff (best among I have came across) and the peace. Overall 100% reccomended.

The Di-Lac is an excellent choice for a place to stay in Gangtok. It has a more traditional Sikkimese home feel about it with a wonderfully friendly and helpful owner and staff - as opposed to commercial accommodations. The Di-Lac is located an ~10 minute, inexpensive, taxi ride above the main shopping and tourist area of Gangtok so one can have the hustle and bustle of the town or visiting local areas, and then retreat to the peace and calm of the Di-Lac perched high on the hillside above the town with the whole of Gangtok below. From your room balcony, the lounge, or dining area a panorama of Gangtok dwellings extends before you - to the left and right stretching out to distant hills beyond which rise the Himalayas, with only the sky above. The rooms are clean, tidy, comfortable and nicely furnished. The bedding is clean, the mattress good, the bed warm and comfortable. Di-Lac breakfast and meals can be taken in the dining area with that panoramic view - or can be taken in your room. Good wholesome food. The owner and staff are delightfully warm, friendly and helpful local people who will look after you during your stay at the Di-Lac, making you feel right at home, and will assist you with all other aspects of your time in Sikkim - arranging tours, booking vehicles, advising places to see and things to do in Gangtok and other places in Sikkim to make your stay at the Di-Lac a truly pleasant and memorable experience.

We stayed at the DiLac retreat just for one night before leaving sikkim. The room was adequate and the facilities were good. The staff was lovely and very helpful. I had a couple of feedback for the hotel The heater for the room was never mentioned until we asked after a couple of hours of shivering. On asking they said it can be provided at extra costs which I was happy to pay. Just felt they could have offered it at check in itself. We had ordered chicken thukpa for dinner and the chicken felt like stale.fried chicken which was cut and added to the thukpa. The veg thali and the breakfast were fine.

The host took care of all the arrangements and ensured a smooth and pleasant stay throughout. Food was very homely and enjoyable.

Parking is available only for 3 vehicles, and the road in front is a busy road as it is the way for going to Nathula and all taxis will take the route making it busy and jammed until 11 am morning. If u need to take your vehicle out you either need to do so before 8 or after 11.

I had to check out at 4am in the morning and there was no staff at the reception desk, so I asked them to send me the scanner for the payment and they didn’t respond on time and later they just started giving threats on phone calls and they even told the cab driver to not to let them go to airport and bring them back

The location of the hotel is good but only small cabs r allowed to this location. If someone is coming with 8-10 members to stay they have to spend an extra 1000/ every time for the cabs for up & down.

I highly recommend this place for stay in Gangtok if someone is looking for budget stay. Staff is really polite and helpful. All are are soft spoken. Complimentary breakfast was good. Rooms were clean and we got good view of nature. Overall it was a very pleasant experience.

The cleanliness and location is perfect. Barely 100 metres from the Taxi stand. It's a family run Homestay with a commendable level of professionalism. A cozy comfortable place recommended for people who book to just crash in at night and leave early in the morning for their trip.
