Breakfast was whatever you asked for really and delightful.Food overall was excellent.Staff were brilliant.Pool was great.Rooms are spacious and comfy

My only wish is that there were more choice in wines and maybe some of the up and coming Indian vineyards

The historic building, antique furnishings and the food where fabulous. The garden was very nice and peaceful. The staff were super friendly and the food was delicious.

A truly special hotel – 10/10 Old Harbour Hotel was one of the highlights of my stay in Kerala. From the moment I arrived, I felt that this was much more than just a beautiful hotel. There is a warmth, soul and atmosphere here that is quite rare. The historic design and architecture are absolutely beautiful, and everything feels carefully chosen without losing the character of the old building. The lush green garden, the plants, the flowers, the beautiful scents and the peaceful surroundings create a little oasis in the middle of Fort Kochi. I loved simply sitting in the garden and enjoying the atmosphere. The food was excellent throughout my stay – fresh, beautifully prepared and delicious – and dining in the garden in the evening was a wonderful experience. But what really makes Old Harbour exceptional is the staff. Everyone I met was genuinely warm, kind, attentive and welcoming. The service felt personal and natural rather than formal, and I felt very well taken care of throughout my stay. It is the people who give this beautiful place its heart. My room was full of character and charm, and the whole hotel has the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer. It feels peaceful, intimate, elegant and alive at the same time. I have travelled extensively and stayed in many hotels around the world, but Old Harbour is one of those rare places I know I will remember. 10/10. I would return without hesitation – and I hope I will.

We had a wonderful first night in India, staying at the beautiful Old Harbour Hotel. The staff were incredible kind and friendly, even giving us a free upgrade upon arrival. Jude organised us a brilliant driver, Kannan, who drove us around for the week. All the staff were very attentive and we loved eating our first dinner at the hotels restaurant after our long travel day. We will defiantly recommend Old Harbour Hotel!

We had been traveling around Tamil Nadu and Kerala for 3 weeks when we came to Cochin. It was late in the day. We were exhausted from a 7 hour car journey. It was raining and hot. From the moment we walked through the door the atmosphere, welcome, support and help was fantastic. We immediately felt at home. With two resident dogs and cats this place felt like home. It was elegant and modest in it's approach to it's hospitality. The garden and pool was beautiful. The architecture was beautiful. The food was wonderful. The room very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The staff were always at hand. Helpful and friendly. I felt it was well priced too. We had such a lovely time in Cochin. It's a city that is easy to like but the Old Harbour definitely helped. I highly recommend staying here.

Tout a été hyper fluide du check in au check out. Le staff est très gentil, discret et à l’ecoute. La déco très simple et empreinte d’histoire. Les espaces intérieurs et extérieurs sont agréables et apaisants. La circulation dans cette ancienne bâtisse est bien plus agréable que dans des hôtels modernes. La localisation est idéale pour visiter Cochi.

Peut-être le wifi mais ça reste un détail.

Een prachtig hotel met Nederlandse invloeden, geweldige service en een perfecte startplek om Kerala te ontdekken. Het Old Harbour Hotel in Kochi is een bijzonder en sfeervol hotel met Nederlandse invloeden, wat niet zo gek is aangezien het vroeger een Nederlands theehandelsgebouw was. Vanaf het eerste contact via Booking voelde het al goed: we werden direct vriendelijk benaderd via chat, kregen een telefoonnummer en zelfs hulp bij het regelen van een taxi. Bij aankomst waren we echt verrast. Wat een heerlijke plek om binnen te komen. De ambiance is fantastisch en het personeel is ontzettend warm en gastvrij. Zodra we onze kamer binnenkwamen, rook het fris en voelden we ons meteen thuis. De kamer zelf was prachtig en stijlvol ingericht. De locatie is perfect om je reis door Kerala te beginnen. Je zit midden in de levendigheid, waardoor je meteen de cultuur, de mensen en de drukte kunt ervaren en eraan kunt wennen. In de buurt vind je leuke winkels en goede restaurants. Ook de traditionele Kathakali-dans (al meer dan 400 jaar oud) kun je op verschillende plekken bekijken — wij hebben dit via het hotel geregeld, wat erg fijn was. Het eten in het hotel wordt duidelijk met liefde bereid. Alles wat we hebben gegeten was gewoon heerlijk. Wat dit hotel echt bijzonder maakt, is de service. Vanwege de LPG-crisis hebben ze speciaal voor mijn vrouw een apparaat geregeld om toch een Masala Dosa als ontbijt te kunnen maken. Dat zegt eigenlijk alles over hoe goed ze voor hun gasten zorgen. We hebben hier een geweldige tijd gehad en hadden eigenlijk langer moeten blijven. Gelukkig is dat een mooie reden om nog eens terug te komen. Bedankt: Dank je wel Team Old Harbour en Jude, voor jullie warmte, zorg en aandacht. Jullie hebben ons verblijf echt bijzonder en onvergetelijk gemaakt. Tot de volgende keer!

Limited food options, but that was not the property’s fault

We had two lovely nights at the Old Harbour Hotel. The room was massive and very comfortable. The highlight has to be the beautiful courtyard where you can have your meals. The location is great - we were able to easily explore Fort Kochi and Jew Town by walking or tuk-tuk. The staff were really great but also a big shout out to the cats and dogs that added so much character and joy to our stay. Oh, and the food is delicious.

Love the room, but we're not keen on the 'open' bathroom i.e. no separate ceiling between the bathroom and the bedroom. Not a massive issue though.

We stayed for 4 nights at The Old Harbour Hotel. The location is ideal, right next to the Chinese fishing nets and within walking distance from the heritage sights in Fort Kochi The hotel food (breakfast and dinner) was excellent with many food options to choose from. All staff were friendly, caring and attentive to our needs. A special thank you to all the staff, including: Sukesh, Vineetha, Kapil, Ahkil and Andu to name a few but really to everyone at the hotel who made our trip so memorable with help on local history, where to visit and more.

If we stayed again we would choose an indoor bathroom rather than the outdoor facility that came with the garden room.

It was a very simple but beautiful historic building. The staff were excellent, very attentive and the food was delicious.

Loved the green, calm and beautiful outdoors and the vintage charm of the indoors. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Had dinner at their restaurant, which is a beautiful indoor and outdoor lush green space, and the menu is great. The fish curry and Kerala rice were delicious. Their breakfast time is quiet, and the food is homely. Enjoyed the space, and the ease of reaching the various Biennale locations and cafes/restaurants nearby - easily walkable from the hotel or a quick tuk-tuk ride away. Happy that there was no TV in the room! Also very happy that they let me use their spa space to freshen up after check-out, as my flight was much later in the evening. Lovely hotel, staff were great, and very friendly and attentive to our needs. Will be coming back soon!

The location is great & the garden & pool are lovely - like an oasis in the city. The staff are very helpful & friendly, especially Vineetha who went above & beyond to ensure we had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. I’d also highly recommend the restaurant - the food is delicious.

This is a heritage property in a great location in Fort Kochi. The room was spacious and staff was courteous and responsive. The beds were comfortable. The highlight of this property is the wonderful large outdoor courtyard filled with trees and flowers and the sounds of many birds where we ate our meals. The food was good and reasonably priced. This place was an oasis in a bustling small city during the New Year's celebrations.

Old Harbour was as central as you could get in Cochin and really beautiful – also a respite from the street-craziness of central Cochin. The staff felt like family friends by the end of our visit and the restaurant honestly couldn’t be beat – our best meals in India were here.

Nothing that I can think of – even the hotel mascot, Ginger the Cat was amazing.

Super relaxing stay at this beautiful hotel. Excellent pool and outside space to enjoy a beer and their wonderful fruit juices. Our room was superb…excellent bed and smellies in the bathroom.The interior design of the room was understated, calming and complimented the Dutch colonial style of the building. Food was good and provided an alternative to authentic Keralan cooking. All staff were super friendly, approachable and helpful.

Charmantes Boutique Hotel im Herzen von Fort Kochi. Hervorragender Service, sehr komfortable Zimmer (wir hatten eine Outdoor Dusche, welche super war), üppiger sehr gepflegter Garten mit einem sehr schönen und grossen Pool. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und das Team hilfsbereit und immer mit einem Lächeln im Gesicht. Eine Unterkunft, die wir sehr empfehlen.

This was our favorite hotel we have ever stayed at. It has such a beautiful charm to it. The grounds are kept to such an amazing level of beauty. The rooms are everything you could want. The restaurant was delicious for breakfast and dinner and the cafe the hotel owns is fantastic. Also have to shout out the incredible animals they care for. Happy is my favorite dog ever, she is so sweet I miss her!

There is truly nothing not to like about this property. I hope one day I can come back.
