The front desk staff were polite and friendly, and helped us with checking in. The room wasn't as big as other hotels we have stayed at, but it was very clean and comfortable, and walking distance to the Tenmonkan district. The room is well set up to self-cater (e.g., fridge, cooker, dishes, cutlery). However, we got breakfast at the hotel the next morning as it was convenient given we were only staying one night. Breakfast at the hotel was 'take-away' but was tasty and substantial - just what we needed before starting our day.

部屋は広く、清掃も行き届いていた。一階のベットも広く快適であった。ソファも広くよかった。空気清浄機も置いてあった。

上の階の客の足音（子供が飛び跳ねてた？）が23時過ぎまで続いており、うるさかったが、夜間はスタッフが常駐していないため相談できず、我慢するしかなかった。2階のベッドは、エアコンの冷気が届かず暑くて寝れなかった。サーキュレーターみたいなものが置いてあればありがたいかなと思った。また、2階のベッドの柵が低く、寝相が悪い場合は少し危ないかもしれない。トイレの手洗いが近くにないため、毎回洗面台まで移動する必要があった（キッチンの流しは近いのだが）

Great room for the 5 of us . Clean. And parking spot right in front of the hotel for a 1000y for one night/day. Including small but nice breakfast .

ロケーションが良かった。必要なアメニティもすべて揃っている。清潔。テレビ大きい。 足の悪い家族を連れての旅行だったが、ホテル前の駐車場を貸してくれて大変助かった。 早い者勝ちではなく、優先駐車場としてキープしてくださっているのが心遣いを感じた。

3人でゆっくりくつろげる広さのホテルはなかなか無いので、とても居心地が良かったです。 時期的に料金も抑えられててお得に利用出来ました。 ありがとうございました。

The hotel room was very well appointed and the layout was efficient. Having a kitchenette was handy as we are strict vegetarians.

We stayed a few nights and one of the nights was the volcanic eruption, and our rental car was spewed with volcanic ash. One of the service staff brought water out and helped us to remove the ash as much as practicable so that we can drive off for a proper wash. We were very impressed with her and wish to thank her. We were also very impressed with the great washer-dryer in the rooms, and that they rooms were thoughtfully designed to suit small families. We were impressed by the thoughtful kitchen cabinet because more hotels miss out on the small cooking area that guests may need for light cooking as well as cutting of fruits etc. The beds were really comfortable and supported so we had a really good rest in Kagoshima because of it. I suggest for hotels to help us purchase your pillows if comfortable.

There were many turns in my room, from main room through kitchen cabinet to sink and then to bath tub. That whole passageway was really tight. The self check in was also confusing. Although the staff said that pre-check in was sent to us to fill, we did not receive it as we made the booking through booking.com. This made our late check in (9+ pm) very tedious and tiring.

Room size is very good for 2 people and comfortable with kitchenette facilities and everything is quite new. Airconditioning is also strong enough to cool the room in May period. Location is at least 10 mins walk to train station.

Spacious and clean. Loved the inclusion of a laundry machine (and washing tablets!) Super friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location in between Kagoshima Chuo station and the Tenmonkan, so within walking distance to a lot of food and shops, but away from the noise and bustle.

The room was spacious and we could do our own laundry in the room which was super convenient! Beds were comfortable and the location was super convenient. We ended up being stuck an extra day in Kagoshima due to the typhoon and the staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful

It’s a minor detail but I agree with other reviews that state it’s a bit odd to have to go through several doors/walk through the common area to get to the bathroom sink after you use the toilet. It’s just a little odd but did not impact my stay

fav Kagoshima Chuo reminded us favorably of hotels we've stayed at in Europe. It's contemporary, well-appointed, and affordable. I was a bit worried when I read the email instructions about the automated check-in, but when we arrived a bit after 3 in the afternoon, desk staff were available and ready to help us with the check-in procedures. That made for a smooth entrance. The beds were actually the most comfortable we've had in the last 2 weeks in Japan. Getting over a cold I managed to sleep a solid 11 hours the first night. The washing machine also has a dryer function that wasn't mentioned on the booking.com page, so that was an improvement over hang-drying our clothes. We walked with our luggage between the train station and the hotel without issue.

One characteristic of European hotels that I've never appreciated is that the beds are provided with a duvet, but no top sheet. As a North American, I'm used to sleeping with a top sheet, The addition of a top sheet beneath a duvet gives me more control over my sleeping temperature than just a duvet. With a top sheet = cool/warm/hot. Without a top sheet = cool/hot. I don't really expect this hotel to accept my criticism and provide top sheets, but they'd step up into world class if they did. We paid in advance for breakfasts. The breakfast menu was the same both days that we stayed. There were 5 options, one Japanese-style soup, one Japanese style sandwich, a fruit/yogurt/granola, bowl, and two different sizes of hot dogs. My wife and daughter both enjoyed the breakfasts, but I didn't eat either day. Nothing on this menu appealed to me in the morning. The directions to the hotel provided by booking.com were wrong and led us to a parking lot down the street from the hotel, which was weird, because the hotel appears on a google maps search. Don't use the booking.com directions.

Top Lage! Der Bahnhof ist fußläufig sehr gut zu erreichen. Auch die Fährhäfen erreicht man zügig mit der Tram, die vor der Tür hält. Das Hotel ist modern eingerichtet. Im Zimmer befindet sich eine kleine Küchenecke mit Mikrowelle, Wasserkocher und einer Herdplatte, die im Schrank verstaut ist. Eine Waschmaschine mit integriertem Trockner ist ebenfalls vorhanden. Praktisch war, dass wir unseren größeren Koffer dort 3 Tage abgeben konnten, als wir nach Yakushima gefahren sind.

Die Betten sind sehr hart.

Bruit continu de ventilation provenant de l’extérieur, peu de services comparé au fav de Kumamoto, très peu de débit en soirée lorsque tout le monde utilise Internet.

I had planned to stay somewhere else but after an absolutely terrible night of sleep, I looked to see if Fav had a Kagoshima location. And it did! The beds were comfortable with good lighting, the room was clean, and my kid loved the bunk bed. Super happy this was an option for us.

The kitchenette was between the toilet and the handwashing sink so that was a little odd, but obviously not a deal breaker.

天文館から車で10分ほど離れたところに位置しますが、車移動では全く不便には感じませんでした。部屋もとても綺麗で快適に過ごせました。

部屋の照明がどう頑張っても暗く感じました。ベッドの照明の明るさは充分あるのですが、部屋全体がもう少し明るくできると荷物の整理の際など便利だと思いました。

Everything the staff was great. We had rented a car and there weren't any places left at the hotel but the lovely lady showed us where to park ( she couytell we were struggling and walked out to show us where to park and how to do it with paying at the location).

The huge group of hungover guys that took the only outdoor space to smoke and lounge for over an hour so we had to eat breakfast inside. They could have made room for the families that were obviously wanting to enjoy the outside but they used up all the seats and put their stuff on chairs so no one could have the spaces while they smoked.

Das Hotel liegt gut . Leicht mit Tram zum Fährhafen Sakurajima, Aquarium - Highlight. Alles etwas technisch überorganisiert, daher weniger Personal aber sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Die Aussage erinnert uns etwas an ein Wohnmobil. Etwas eng und zuviel Kunststoff.

Das Doppelbett grenzte links und rechts direkt an eine Wand. Im großen und ganzen doch alles etwas eng. Das WLAN erlaubt nur die Verbindung mit einem Gerät.

Beautiful laid out room for a family of 3. It had all the facilities you need for a stay including a washing machine. Very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful with the check in and check out. The place is also situated near the Main Street of Kagoshima, but on the quieter end, so you can easily walk to the restaurants and shops but also sleep at night.

The room was large, washing machine was very efficient and perfect for couples. Beds were veey comfortable as well. Staff were friendly and reasonably able to communicate in English, making forwarding luggage a simple process.

Breakfast was pretty basic and in retrospect would opt out for that in the future.

Este hotel fue sin duda mi favorito del viaje. Nos tocó en una de las plantas más altas y las vistas eran geniales. Por otro lado, la habitación es enorme y con todas las "amenities" que necesitas: lavadora-secadora, mini-cocina, tele, sofá... estuvimos super a gusto. Volvería siempre!

Pros: nice sized room. Has a washing machine and washing tablets provided. A small kitchenette although we did not do any cooking. Walking distance to the train station.

The bed placement was rather awkward - had to climb into the bed from the short end. Bed mattress was too firm. No daily room cleaning service - only the trash was emptied and towels changed everyday. Apparently room cleaning only provided once every three days (we did mot stay long enough).
