Location

The room was not clean. There were dead insects and spider webs, and even after we specifically asked the staff to clean them, only some of them were removed. The walls were stained, and we couldn’t really use the balcony because there were monkeys around and we were warned not to open the balcony door. Apparently, this was also an issue in other rooms. This made us wonder what the point of having a balcony is if guests are advised not to use it. The soundproofing was also poor. We could clearly hear people talking in the hallway, as well as noise from the floor above, especially while we were in the bathroom. Overall, the staff was not very helpful. There seemed to be a lot of employees around, but unfortunately, this did not translate into good cleaning or good service. The main positive point is the location, which is excellent. However, apart from the location, our experience was disappointing. If location is your main priority, this hotel may work for you, but otherwise, I would not expect a high standard of cleanliness or service.

Good place. Met the expectations that one has feom a Hotel. Polite and helpful staff. Good location, close to the Kandy lake and central market place. Overall good experience.

The one thing this property could do better is to review their pricing. For off-season booking, the pricing could have been much lower.

If you are coming to Kandy—especially during the Esala Perahera—this hotel is an absolute gem. Waking up to direct views of Kandy Lake and the temple right from our bedroom window was unforgettable. During the festival evenings, the surrounding roads close completely to vehicle traffic until midnight. While others were stuck navigating roadblocks and waiting for transport, we enjoyed the luxury of simply strolling back to our hotel in minutes. Beyond the unbeatable location, the hospitality truly stood out. The young manager was wonderfully attentive, professional, and went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed, supported by a very friendly staff. Starting the day at the rooftop restaurant with a hearty breakfast overlooking the water was a treat, and it was equally handy for a quiet lunch or dinner. We would gladly stay here again!

Ottima posizione, camera spaziosa

Замечательное расположение отеля в 3-х минутах от набережной и в 10 минутах ходьбы от Храма Зуба Будды. Номера просторные, комфортные, все необходимое имеется, удобные кровати, белоснежные полотенца и белье, везде чисто. Завтрак хороший. Персонал очень внимательный и доброжелательный. У нас был номер с шикарным видом на озеро и Храм Зуба Будды. Было очень приятно посидеть с чашечкой чая на балконе, любуясь на озеро и наблюдая за обезьянками.

Все понравилось, с удовольствием бы вернулись.

Good hotel with an amazing view! The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were super friendly and always smiling.

The only downside is that the hotel could use some improvements. We found some worms in the room, and there were also some holes in the bathroom.

This is an amazing little gem just above the lake. The location is perfect - quick access to the city's main attractions and a mall. The breakfast is a wonderful buffet with lots of choices. The rooms are big and comfortable. The AC works very well. We would like to thank the owner for our little chats and making us feel at home.

Großartige Lage. Man ist in wenigen Gehminuten in der Stadt oder bei Sri Dalada Maligawa. Auch der Ausblick war großartig und das war Frühstück sehr lecker.

Die Balkontür lässt sich zwar abschließen, allerdings bleibt immer ein großer Spalt übrig, sodass die lauten Straßengeräusche kaum gedämpft werden und es recht laut werden kann. Der vorhandene Safe im Zimmer lässt sich zwar abschließen, ist aber nirgendwo verankert sondern liegt nur wie ein Schuhkarton lose im Schrank, d.h. jeder könnte ihn einfach mitnehmen. Beides hat uns nicht groß gestört, man sollte das aber wissen.

Aunque llegamos de noche y nos fuimos pronto, por lo que no pudimos disfrutar mucho del hotel, el trato fue genial. Nos esperaron hasta tarde para hacer el checking con una gran sonrisa y un muy buen trato. Habitaciones perfectas, grandes y limpias. Desayuno buffet en la terraza con vistas al lago.

Nada reseñable

Albergo molto bello, camera pulita, bagno con acqua calda molto bello e spazioso. Staff molto gentile e premuroso, mi sono rotta un dito del piede e vedendomi zoppicare mi hanno subito aiutata, portato del ghiaccio e dato un unguento per il dolore. Colazione super, non finivano di portare cibo.. Mi è piaciuto tutto! Grazie mille per la vostra cura.

Hotel, muy cerca del lago y cerca del centro comercial, personal del hotel muy atento, nos ofrecieron cena siempre que llegábamos algo tarde. Cama muy cómoda y la ducha con bastante presión de agua, wifi correcto

Vue imprenable sur le lac depuis la chambre avec vue nous a permis de suivre les fêtes Perahera du mois d aout ! Le personnel est très accueillant et à disposition pour aider ou donner tout renseignement utile. Hôtel très bien situé à 5 minutes à pied du centre ville et du temple de la dent, tout en restant au calme.

A szobából a kilátás fantsztikus volt. A reggeli a tetőn van, nagyon hangulatos.

Struttura nuova con camere dal design contemporaneo, ottime rifiniture, pulita e con doccia fantastica. Colazione a buffet sia srilankese che continentale su terrazza panoramica notevole. Perfetta la posizione per vedere la Perahera durante i giorni più trafficati della città.

La amabilidad del personal del hotel y la habitación grande, cómoda y limpia. Muy buena ducha

La ubicación está bien, pero el acceso es una cuesta muy pronunciada (compensa el tuktuk)

Abbiamo prenotato la suite matrimoniale vista lago. Semplicemente incantevole. La camera è molto grande, con una terrazza vista lago da cui si può godere di un panorama incredibile. La camera prevede 2 letti di cui uno matrimoniale e uno alla francese molto comodi. Il bagno è molto grande con una doccia enorme con la porta. La colazione a buffet è molto buona e varia con proposte dolci (il loro banana bread buonissimo) e anche salate tra cui Dahl e rotti tipici della cucina srilankese. La posizione è perfetta: leggermente in collina per godere di una vista pazzesca ma collegata al centro città tramite una scaletta per porta in 2 minuti a piedi sul lungo lago.

Non accettano il pagamento con carta. Gli asciugamani inoltre erano tutti slabbrati.

La habitación estaba repleta de mosquitos porque los cristales y la puerta de la terraza no son estancos, tienen aperturas por todas partes por donde pasan. La habitación tenía un nivel de humedad muy alto, se humedecía la ropa si la dejabas fuera de la maleta. La limpieza era bastante superficial, las sábanas tenían manchas, pero está más limpio que otros que hemos visto.

Het hotel heeft een zeer mooi zicht op het water en de tempel aan de overkant. Het ontbijt was royaal en lekker. De kamers waren heel mooi en proper.

Big clean room for whole family. Great location and friendly staff. We went to see the processions, city full of people and the location was great, just few steps away from the centre but at the same time quiet street that the noise did not bother. Beautiful views of the lake.

Personale molto accogliente, in particolare la signora alla reception. Struttura ordinata e pulita. Posizione vicina al lago ed al centro di Kandy (5 minuti a piedi). Colazione servita sul rooftop, che offre anche una bellissima vista.

Non un vero punto debole, ma qualcosa da segnalare e tenere a mente: per raggiungere la struttura / il centro di Kandy si passa da una strada un po’ in salita.

Everything - went during yearly festival of the long tooth. Balcony gives you a front row seat in absolute luxury. Very clean. I stayed alone aw a single woman. Breakfast was excellent.

Camera piccola ma accogliente, pulizia così così ma è la normalità qua in srylanka,colazione a buffet buonissima!!! Posizione a due passi dal centro con vista lago ed immersi nella natura talmente tanto che sul balcone arrivano le scimmie 😍 proprietari madre e figlio super accoglienti ed un gran merito alla madre che ogni mattina regala un cesto di frutta ad un povero elefante probabilmente uno di quelli utilizzati per i loro show che ogni mattina passa di fronte all'hotel col suo padrone verso le 9 con tanto di catene al collo 😡 Quindi hotel super consigliato!!

Buen hotel en Ksndy, muy céntrico. Desayuno magnífico en una terraza con vistas al lago de Kandy. La dueña muy amable, nos regaló té al irnos.

Frokosten. Etter 22:00 er hotellet stengt, vi ringte på ringeklokke i 10 minutter fra 22:15-22:25 uten noe respons og siden man ikke hører om den fungerte prøvde vi å ringe hotellet uten svar, kom etter hvert en person som sa han hadde vært på do. Vi ba han henge opp et skilt slik at man vet at det kommer noen om litt.

A quiet guest house, walking distance to Kandy’s sights, with a stunning view. The family room was incredibly spacious and the hosts kindly did our laundry which was returned early the following morning. We loved the buffet breakfast which had a delicious and extensive choice of Sri Lankan and western food.

Very attentive friendly staff. Even provided us a takeaway breakfast as we checked out at 5.45am. Great room. Exceptional shower. Good location out of the hustle and bustle of the city.

We had a great stay at Lotus Lake. The staff was very kind and welcoming and took the time to help us with personal requests. The breakfast was tasty Sri Lankan food. It was an easy walk down to the lake and town. Also the WiFi was good and the bed was comfortable. A very good stay.

It is central to many attractions

The drain on the bathroom was not working. In one corner was hair. But most of it was clean

I would definitely not recommend staying here, as it was a terrible experience from start to finish. There was no hot water in the bathroom, so we were forced to take a freezing cold shower. On top of that, there was a very unpleasant, foul smell throughout the entire hotel and inside our room. To make matters worse, we found a large spider right inside our room, which I have attached a photo of. Hygiene and cleanliness are clearly not a priority for this establishment. It was an extremely uncomfortable and unhygienic stay, save your money and look elsewhere.

Totalmente disorganizzati… la nostra camera originariamente era praticamente dentro la sala della colazione, cosa non specificata al momento della prenotazione. In ogni caso, facendo presente questa cosa ci hanno spostato di camera. Nella camera nuova il Wi-Fi il primo giorno non funzionava e gli asciugamani non erano presenti. Il bagno perdeva acqua e abbiamo avuto il tappetino fradicio per due giorni. Su Booking non è specificato che accettano solo i contanti, quando arrivi c’è un cartello in ingresso che specifica che bisogna pagare “only cash”. Ovviamente, su richiesta, il pos è magicamente comparso. Oggi avevamo il pullman per Nuwara Eliya alle 8, abbiamo chiesto di fare colazione alle 7 e ci hanno detto che non era possibile. Abbiamo quindi aspettato le 7:30, orario previsto di inizio della colazione, e non c’era ancora niente di pronto. Oltre al fatto che la scelta è minima. Non so, forse per il prezzo che ha conviene prenotare altrove.

Airco werkte niet, gelukkig wat koele regenachtige dag, dus was niet te warm.

Quizás que las ventanas del balcón no estuvieran insonorizadas y el desayuno buffet para mi gusto algo pobre.

Excellente localisation pour visiter Kandy. Personnel très agréable. Chambre de grande taille qui mériterait cependant un petit coup de rafraîchissant. La vue sur le lac depuis le balcon de la chambre est grandiose. Le petit déjeuner était très bon.

The view of the lake was beautiful- just like the photos. The room was clean and modern with tasteful furnishings and bathroom The very best thing though was the staff friendly kind and helpful. They made us feel welcome and looked after.

Dveře na balkóně neblokovali hluk z venku, v pokoji byl slyšet trochu hluk z okolních místností a chodby.

The view from the room was fantastic overlooking the lake and the city. Our room was spacious and we really liked the bed arrangement for 4 of us. The location was also great. We just walked to the lake and to the restaurants around.

Breakfast could have a little more variety.

Las opciones del buffet eran un poco limitadas, eche de menos algo de dulce como croissants, cereales o algo de chocolate. La mayor parte del desayuno era tipo local.

Mooi hotel op een hele goede locatie (uitzicht over het meer en op loopafstand van de stad en tempel van de tand). Het hotel ligt rustig, maar toch erg dicht bij de stad.
