Peaceful and tranquil location. Wonderful food and facilities. Staff were friendly and helpful, even provided snacks and water for our safari we booked with an external provider.

Fantastic location and pool

The rooms were lovely & spacious. Shahan’s night time exploration of the wildlife was the absolute highlight of our stay. He showed us some of the sleeping wildlife on the property.

Sinks in our room were a bit smelly & pillows too soft.

We absolutely loved our stay at Wild Culture Yala! From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The service was incredible, the food was delicious, the drinks were amazing — everything was just wow! The staff at the reception and restaurant were so welcoming and attentive. A special shoutout to Chahan, the bartender, who was absolutely amazing! He even took us on a little night tour around the property to show us some of the local wildlife, including snakes, frogs, rabbits, and other little creatures. It was such a fun and unexpected experience, and he did it completely free of charge! The pool area is beautiful and peaceful, with an amazing view overlooking the savanna. The location is also perfect if you’re planning a safari, as it’s very close to Yala National Park. We would 100% recommend Wild Culture Yala. Such a beautiful, relaxing place with incredible hospitality. We would definitely stay here again! 🤍

Man fühlt sich wie in Südafrika in einer Lodge. Die Anlage ist wunderschön angelegt und die Zimmer sind großzügig mit moderner Einrichtung. Das Essen und das Frühstück waren super! Auch die Organisation einer Safari direkt über das Hotel lief perfekt.

We had a one night stay in wild culture towards the end of our trip and it was amazing! It’s the perfect setting of being in the wild and living in luxury. Our room felt very private with a great view out to surrounding wildlife. The staff were so friendly and always attentative, there are several great facilities and activities on the grounds and two areas available to eat at. The food for both breakfast and dinner were incredible! Our stay couldn’t be more perfect

Everything!!! Absolutely stunning location, and a beautiful place to stay. Peaceful, spotlessly clean, incredible food, and the pool area was the most perfect place to relax after safari. The room was huge, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Only a short 10 min drive from the Yala gate so a great location to explore the national park. The staff couldn’t do enough for us..we felt welcomed from the moment we arrived and we were very sad to leave

A gorgeous hotel with an amazing pool and hospitality. The best part of our stay by far was the night walk with Shehan, who is a naturalist and conservationist, who has immense knowledge about all of the wildlife on the property and in yala! He showed us all the various beautiful birds and animals around the hotel grounds with so much passion and enthusiasm, it was truly the highlight of our whole yala trip. Worth staying at this hotel just for the night walk with Shehan!

We originally booked just one night as a base for our safari, but after arriving we decided to extend our stay for another night. We simply didn't want to leave! The room was beautiful, very comfortable, and tastefully designed. The entire property is surrounded by nature and has such a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The whole place radiates a wonderful sense of calm, making it the perfect place to slow down and enjoy the moment. We loved seeing wildlife right around the hotel and spotted peacocks, squirrels, and monitor lizards just by walking around the property, which made our stay even more special. The location is perfect for visiting Yala National Park, and the food was a real highlight. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all absolutely delicious, freshly prepared, and full of flavor. Don’t miss the homemade coconut ice cream – it is amazing! The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. A special thank you to Upul, who made our stay even more enjoyable with his kindness and warm hospitality. We truly enjoyed every moment here and would highly recommend Wild Culture Yala to anyone visiting the area. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location near the entrance to Yala National Park. Lovely large grounds and nice pool area. Staff were very attentive. We did a nighttime safari through the garden guided by one of the staff and saw many sleeping birds and a crocodile just outside the fence, which was a highlight of our stay

WiFi and food were both slightly hit and miss. Room was a little gloomy. Both the safe and the kettle in our room didn’t work on arrival, but both were swiftly replaced.

The breakfast was unreal. This was by far the best breakfast we have ever had, it was actually too big for the kids to finish. The staff is amazing and will go far and beyond to satisfy any need, they took us on a night walk and even showed us the crocodiles next to the hotel in the river. The food was very higj standard, and the pool perfect to have lazy days with a beautiful rice field in the background and nice sunset. The kids liked the basketball court and shooting rifle to pass the time.

The food, although very high standard, was maybe priced a bit high, especially after adding all the hidde charges. Food quality was amazing.

Maten er også helt fantastisk, ville anbefalt australsk biff til middag -det er noe av det beste vi har smakt😊 Vi dro på safari som hotellet ordnet, og det var også en fantastisk opplevelse. Anbefaler virkelig å bo her! Tusen takk til Upul som gjorde oppholdet vårt fantastisk! Han passet på at vi hadde det bra og ordnet alt -en utrolig hyggelig mann med god sans for humor! Tusen takk til Shehan også, som guidet oss gjennom en nydelig tur rundt hotellet for å vise det lokale dyrelivet som er her. Det var så gøy å se for det var mange forskjellige dyrearter, og ekstra kjekt å se krokodille! Shehan hadde mye kunnskap om de forskjellige dyreartene og forklarte det til oss på en gøy og forståelig måte. Han passer perfekt som guide for safaritur til Yala, noe som passer med studiene han holder på med nå😊

We stayed here over my birthday and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The staff went above and beyond to make it special, decorating our room with balloons and flowers, singing me happy birthday and giving me a cake after dinner. Aside from this, the safaris that the hotel organised for us were incredible, and the hotel itself is beautiful. The swimming pool is stunning, the rooms are gorgeous and the location is perfect. The food was also absolutely delicious, and the breakfast offering is beyond generous!

Otel, bulunduğu konum, odalar, çalışanlar yemekler ve kahvaltı mükemmel. Odaların konumları, havuz, otel içindeki olanaklar çok iyiydi. Sri Lanka'da konakladığımız en iyi yer. Safari için kendileri ile ilerledik ayarladıkları şoför arkadaşımız çok ilgili ve her şeye hakimdi. Safari esnasında diğer şoförlere kıyasla bizi götürdüğü yerler sayesinde bir çok ilginç canlı ve leoparın kendisini görmeyi bile başardık. Başka bir otele transfer için de yine uygun bir maliyetle bize yardımcı oldular. Çalışan arkadaşlarımız güler yüzlü ve yardımseverler her şey için teşekkürler.

Keşke 1 gün saha kalabilseydik görünen fotoğraflardan çok daha güzel bir yer aşırı lüks ve kendinizi çok iyi hissettiricek hizmetler var oyun alanları havuzun büyüklüğü odaların temizliği benim böcek fobim olmasına rağmen bu kadar doğa içinde temiz bir yer beklemiyordum açıkcası. Bu fiyata böyle bir yer deneyimlediğim için çok şanslıyım. Hiç düşünmeden yala'ya gidecekseniz bu oteli şiddetle tavsiye ediyorum.

וואו, המקום הכי טוב שיכלנו לבקש ולא ציפינו לרמה הזאת. יש שם רק 4 חדרים אז השירות מרגיש סופר אישי, מקרה רוב הזמן יצא ככה שאנחנו היינו היחידים שם ופשוט שירתו אותנו בצורה מדהימה! הביאו לנו ארוחת בוקר לחדר, היינו לבד בבריכה ונתנו לנו להתחבר לשירים והיה איש צוות צמוד אלינו שלקח מאיתנו הזמנות, היה פשוט מדהים, והכי חשוב נקי וטעים! הבריכה נקייה ואחת היפות, מגרש כדורסל כיפי מאוד, נתנו לנו רובה אוויר ושיחקנו איתו עם המטרות שם, יש שם מגרש גולף קטן וכל זה במחיר וואו! גם מאוד קרוב לספארי. סגרנו דרכם את הספארי כי הם המחיר הכי זול שפשוט היה בשוק, גם אחרי שאנשים אחרים רצו להביא לנו הנחות עדיין אצלהם היה יותר זול.

De mensen in sri lanka zijn sowieso erg behulpzaam. Maar Upul en zijn collega’s deden het fantastisch. De georganiseerde ochtend Safari was goed georganiseerd. Er stond een picknickmand en koelbox klaar met een wat kleine versnaperingen. Na de Safari hebben we heerlijk ontbeten. Dit was veruit de beste (onderhouden) accommodatie van sri lanka, ook wel aan de prijzige kant.

Te weinig gasten door de oorlog.

De omgeving, de propere kamers, het zeer vriendelijke personeel. Dit was echt volledig tot rust komen in de natuur. Het hotel regelt ook je safari, alles was tot in de puntjes geregeld!! We hadden een super fijne gids die echt zijn best deed om zoveel mogelijk wildlife te spotten. Upul was de beste gastheer in het hotel met zijn mopjes 😜 De kamers waren zeer luxueus. Het eten was zeer lekker.

Er is niets in de omgeving maar het hotel biedt alles aan wat je nodig hebt voor een top verblijf.

Wir hatten leider nur eine Übernachtung, aber die Unterkunft war sehr geschmackvoll und komfortabel eingerichtet. Wenn wir das vorher gewusst hätten, wären wir sicher länger geblieben. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Auch der Pool und die Poolbar sind sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet.

Die laute und unpassende Musik am Abend hat leider die ansonsten wunderschöne Atmosphäre zerstört. Dezente Hintergrundmusik als Untermalung wäre sicherlich passender.

We loved our 2 nights stay here! The property is lovely and just as pictured. The room was spacious and clean. The staff organized the safari trip for us and after a half day safari we were able to enjoy the facilities at the resort. They have an amazing pool, archery corner, basketball court and even a mini golf court. The staff were absolutely amazing and so accommodating and lovely. The food was also really great and they were willing to adjust them to our dietary requirements. Big shoutout to Upul who was just lovely, on the day of us checking out he was so kind to surprise us with breakfast to go as he didn’t want us leaving the property without food!

There was no hot water on the , the room was not cleaned properly at arrival, the Duvet cover was torn. The staff was extremely friendly and the place is beautiful. They acknowledged the cleaning and did it immediately and apologised which is truly appreciated. But honestly for a 4 star rating its bad - the bath fixtures were not in good shape.

Amazing location, with a great safari organised by the hotel. The cocktails were the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka, and the pool was so tranquil and peaceful. We felt safe at all times, with the occasional lizard walking past our room. We were also lucky enough to see an Asian water monitor, bats flying around, and even a crocodile it was truly an amazing experience. A massive thank you to Upul (10/10), who made our stay very special and provided the best hospitality anyone could ask for and more, bringing us plenty of laughs and delightful moments. I would highly recommend Wild Culture Yala, and we hope to come back one day!

Eine wunderschöne, sehr gepflegte Unterkunft. Die Zimmer waren sehr komfortabel und toll ausgestattet. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben eine Safari im Yala Nationalpark direkt über das Hotel gebucht, das hat super geklappt und war ein tolles Erlebnis.

We loved the hotel, the beautiful spacious pool, the dinners were absolutely nice, and the hotel really helped out with everything we needed. Lahiru in particular was amazing. We would definitely recommend people to stay here for visiting Yala National Park.

We loved the safari that the hotel arranged for us. However, our driver didn't speak english very well, so we had no opportunity to enjoy his knowledge of the animals and park. We did mention it to the reception when we came back, and they would make a note of this with the safari company, so all good.

The safari tour they arranged for us was amazing — we even saw a leopard. The hotel is very close to the park entrance, so it was very easy to get there. The dinner was especially amazing. Our room was very spacious, and the hotel’s design was modern and beautiful.

Lovely setting, relaxing, nice pool and pool area with plenty of lounge chairs. Rooms were very spacious with nice views to open green spaces. Loved the landscaped garden, the big pond with fish and lilies. The staff were so friendly and helpful particularly Upul who was very attentive, helpful and welcoming not just with us but very noticeably with the other guests as well. Dinner was delicious!!! Thank you!!

Nicest hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Facilities are incredible - stunning pool, basketball, mini golf, archery and rifle shooting. Best room we had in Sri Lanka, gorgeous bathroom and very comfortable bed. Food and drink were great too - special shoutout to Dushan’s cocktails! Staff are absolutely wonderful, organised our safari and were very attentive throughout. Particular shoutout to Upul who helped us with everything throughout our stay. Will definitely come back if we return to Sri Lanka and will recommend it to all our friends.

Die Lage im Reisfeld in der Nähe des Yala Nationalparks ist perfekt für eine Safari. Die Zimmer sind extrem groß, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und komfortabel.

Das Essen war nicht das was wir sonst in Sri Lanka hatten. Das Personal war bemüht, allerdings wurde den ganzen Tag irgendwo gemäht und es war dadurch sehr laut. Nachdem wir ausgecheckt und bezahlt hatten habe wir keinen mehr gesehen und sind dann abgefahren

Great hospitality by the restaurant staff. Very helpful. They organised everything for the Yala safari, including breakfast. Facilities were good, the pool was great. Location was ideal for the Safari. Other activities available for entertainment.

Food was tasty but some dishes seemed old, like the pol sambol. Which should be made everyday. We ordered a Biryani, it was regrettable. Overall, I'd rate the food a 6/10.

Loved the pool area and restaurant, all of the decor and general feel of the place were amazing. Lots of wildlife all around - peacocks, water monitors, loads of birds. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. Well located for getting to Yala National Park. Overall loved!

Didn’t get the best nights sleep as we think we had a peacock on the roof early in the morning both nights of our stay!

Superior room was great, super comfortable bed, nice shower and bath, with separate WC and twin wash basins. Everything was immaculately clean. Air conditioning meant the room was cool on arrival and ensured decent sleep. The pool area is absolutely beautiful- the pictures do not do it justice. We had a lunch and dinner here, both of which were very good. It was a nice touch that they provided a cooler with water and snacks for our early morning safari, then allowed us to have breakfast when we got back from the safari and our check out at 12pm. Finally, the staff were excellent, so kind, attentive and welcoming. A great place to stay for a relaxing time or to visit Yala about 12 km away.

We stayed for 3 nights to go on safari, and this was the perfect spot. About 20mins drive to the Yala entrance which was easy to do for the dawn and dusk safaris organised really easily through the hotel. Wild Culture is very quiet and peaceful and a wonderful place to relax. The pool was excellent to relax around, and we loved our huge room with plenty of space to spread out, nice to have a separate lounge room area, and super comfy bed. Special mention to the staff who were so friendly and constantly doing everything to make our stay wonderful. Amazing cocktails too!

It isn’t near any other restaurants or cafes, so all eating has to be done at the resort, however we found the food to be really good, especially the Sri Lankan dishes.

Lovely hotel with only 8 rooms -all of which have picture windows looking out onto the paddy fields. Huge rooms and bathrooms. Very quiet and peaceful with a very large pool. Dining in the evening around the pool with a varied menu. Hotel organised jeep drivers for National Park. Service great and Opul was especially attentive. Would highly recommend.

First of all, the hotel is located to a beautiful place inside the nature. The staff were very friendly. Really very nice and tastes food, it was the best food that ate in Sri Lanka. The pool area is designed really nice and we really enjoy.
