Close to Silent Beach and very calm. Nice views from the terrace.

There could have been a few more amenities in the room, like an electric kettle, tea and coffee, etc. When we were there, the Wi-Fi wasn't working.

Fantastic ocean views. Owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. Facilities were clean and comfortable. Owner made us fresh calamari that was delicious

Not much to do around but nothing a short tuk tuk drive can’t fix

Von der Dachterrasse und den Balkonen im 1. und 2. Stock hat man eine tolle Aussicht aufs Meer. Das Zimmer war sehr ordentlich und sauber. Das Bett war sehr bequem, ich habe gut geschlafen. In 10 Minuten konnte man mehrere Strände zu Fuß erreichen. Auch viele sehr leckere Restaurants sind in der Nähe.

Beim Frühstück hätte ich mir eine lokale Variante gewünscht (es gab nur ein westliche Variante mit Toast, Ei und Obst). Die Gastgeber waren freundlich, aber ich hätte mir mehr Zuverlässigkeit bei Planung von Tuktuk und Fahrer gewünscht (vor allem als Alleinreisende) und generell mehr Tipps für die Umgebung. Ich fand den Preis sehr teuer verglichen mit Homestays in der Umgebung.

There was no drinking water provided or hand soap. Both of these ate usually standard in Sri lanka, even at half the price properties. This is why I rated ot low for value for money

Läget var fantastiskt. Rummet högst upp har havsutsikt. Stort och rymligt rum.

Great little hotel with comfortable clean rooms and a nice rooftop terrace with restaurant. The room was spacious with a large bed, bathroom and mini fridge. The property is located right next to two stunning beaches, including famous silent beach. Lots of cute bars and restaurants nearby, as well as a small conershop. I really enjoyed walking down for a swim in the mornings, and the staff were very accommodating. Everything was convenient and I barely left the area. I would stay here again in future.

Lovely roof top terrace, with views across the bay, for breakfast. Room was plain and simple with a modern bathroom and fridge. Unspoilt little bit of coast line.

We had a fantastic stay at Amour Surf, so good that we ended up staying an extra night! The owner is very kind and generous and made us feel very welcome during our stay. The guy working there is also so kind and incredibly welcoming. The rooftop views are stunning and it’s a relaxed place to chill out having breakfast or at other times of the day, with a few hammocks and comfy chairs. We also had a great view from our room with a nice sitting area outside. The room itself is nice and simple with a very comfortable bed, and big windows to make the most of the views. It’s just a few minute walk down to the local beach and then maybe 5-10min stroll to another beautiful beach - Silent Beach. The area is really quiet and great if you like to get away from the busy areas! Both beaches have plenty of shade and a couple local beach bars where you can use the loungers if you buy a couple drinks or stay for lunch.

The location was fantastic, just a short walk from the silent beach and the view from the terrace was stunning. The price was fairly cheap for the location

The bed was very hard and not comfortable and the room was smelling like mold. We asked to change the room to one of the upper floors which were empty but they did not let us. We had to pay cash and they did not have change so we left there some money (very few though). It was quite difficult to communicate because the staff did not speak good English and the owner was not there.

Fantastic view from the terrace - breakfast in the palm crowns, where you can watch the squirrels and monkeys running around was amazing. Very nice and helpful owner. Close to Silent Beach.

The hotel owner is a very chilled and kind guy, you could always have good conversations with him and he helped you with everything you need immediately and very fast. He was always there for you if needed. The location and the hotel is very close to the silent beach and has a great view, especially from the beautiful rooftop bar. Breakfast was very good and also the room and bathroom is comfortable and clean. The boy who helps him was also very friendly and helping. Thank you very much, we had a great time at the hotel. Alanka is a great and fun host. He showed me around, took me to the beaches, parties and places around town. Mostly on the back of his scooter or in his car. He made the experience amazing. Met a lot of really nice people, especially the ones running Silent Point restaurant. Unakuruwa is a small quiet town, great if you wanna get away from it all. Silent beach is possibly the most beautiful beach in Sri Lanka. I booked an extra night and would've booked more if I could but the place was full. Amazing experience. Room are very clean, with your own balcony. I stayed on the top floor with an amazing sea view.

A little expensive for what it is - the rooms are simple and a little musty, and the breakfast was nothing to write home about (some fruit, bread and a fried egg).

Very close to a beautiful & quiet cove. 2 min walk down to beach. We stayed in the ground floor room,which didn’t have the sea view,but we knew that ahead of time. Just walk up the stairs to the roof cafe/bar,amazing views there ………..or down the end of the drive…..not an issue.

The awesome seaview sitting up in the trees on the balcony. Even saw a giant squirrel. Lovely breakfast on roof terrace again with amazing views. Easy walk to 2 stunning beaches. Great places close by to eat too. Big clean rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff.

the size of the room and bed. The bed was extremely hard and my husband had terrible back pain after the first night. However Alanka the owner bought a top-up matress which was on the bed the next afternoon! pretty impressive reaction! this made a huge and comfy bed. We had booked the ground floor room which was a bit disappointing just because it has no sea view.

The cleanliness of the surrounding streets but this is not the hotels fault.

The location and soacious are very nice and the upstairs bar and breakfastroom gives a phantastic overview if the vay and the surfers. Silent bay with asandy heach and high waves is on walking disrance too. The breakfast is very fine and the host and owner is very helpful, also for excursions. I went to see the turtles. It is recomnended to stay there, and book a little longer so you really enjoy the coastal vibe.

AC wasn’t working but we still had to pay the full price, no shower gel / shampoo / hand soap, no free water, no kettle, no bathmat, really simple breakfast. All in all too expensive for what you get compared to all the other accommodations on our trip which were cheaper and offered more service

Our stay at Amour Surf was fantastic! The accommodation is modern and ideally located close to several beaches, especially the enchanting "Silent Beach," which turned out to be the most beautiful spot we visited on our entire trip. The hotel is impeccably clean, featuring spacious rooms with stylish, contemporary decor. Breakfast each morning was delicious and well-balanced, providing the perfect start to a day full of activities. For dinner, we enjoyed a variety of fresh dishes, with an emphasis on freshly caught fish and even lobster, prepared to perfection. The owner, Alanaka, was incredibly kind and helpful, always willing to assist with anything we needed, and his local knowledge was invaluable. I would highly recommend Amour Surf to anyone looking for a peaceful yet vibrant retreat in Sri Lanka and am already looking forward to the day I can return!

Good location very clean nice roof top I would stay again

The hotel is close to the Silent Beach as well as the Surf Beach. Upstairs they have a nice area with hammocks, which we really enjoyed. The family was extremely nice. Also, they have a very cute little daughter.

The location was perfect. In a walking distance (about 3-7 minutes) one can reach two stunning beaches. Our two rooms were clean and the owner was friendly.

Unfortunately both bed were very rough.

The owner Alanka was so nice, helpful and super sympathetic. The location and view of the Amour Surf is absolutely beautiful. The room was absolutely great and so spacious, comfortable and clean. I only could stay for 1 night, but if I'll come back one day I definitely will stay there again. Best recommendation!

With delicious breakfasts overlooking the bay and a very friendly and helpful owner, our experience couldn't have been better. Beds were hard and uncomfortable There was nowhere to hang wet towels or any other items The best rooms are on 1st and second floor as they have a great view. We were given the ground floor room when no one was staying in the second floor which was a shame.

Cool rooftop bar and breakfast spot with the nicest host. Anything is possible in Amour Surf. I felt very relaxed for the 5 nights I was there.

Amazing location for beautiful, quiet Unakuruwa beach, where the swimming is lovely. literally 2 minutes away. also just 10 minutes walk from wonderful, wild 'jungle' beach, where you can also swim, and silent beach too which is very picturesque and has a few beachside restaurants. The rooms are really large, cool, with very efficient air con, spotlessly clean, with verandas. There is also a fooftop terrace with hammocks with stunning views across the coadt for breakfast, or just to relax. There are plenty of beautiful birds, lizards, squirrels and monitor lizards to see too. The host family are lovely - responsive, friendly and helpful, we fully recommend!

Nice small village near Tangalle with everything you need. Super nice beaches for swimming and surfing. Three beaches are in walking distance. The host helps you with every wish or problem you might have. Room is clean and spacious with AC.

I had a wonderful stay at Amour Surf, which is just perfectly located to visit the most beautiful beaches, i have seen in the south of Sri Lanka. Stunning view from the roof terrace, where fresh fruits for breakfast are served. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. The family owners did their best to make my stay unforgettable. Thanks to Alanka i saw many wonderful places in just 2 days.

Lovely views of the sea and in the green jungle. The host Alanka was great and cooked a delicious tuna fish dinner for us. Room is big with its own balcony and upstairs on the top veranda you can get a drink and breakfast. Lovely breeze. It’s laid back but runs well. Also we got to see and feed and swim around wild turtles. Really helpful in suggesting the best way to do things. Silent beach is very beautiful and quiet but the waves very strong making swimming quite an experience! There’s another bay that’s quieter nearby and both have beach cafes with delicious locally caught seafood.

I couldn’t be happier with my time in amour surf. This place is the perfect spot for enjoy the paradaise!! Location: the place is located in front of an amazing surf beach. You can also walk to other beautiful beaches if you aren’t a surfer. All of them are not busy beaches and super virgin which make it even better. The place: very new and clean place. The AC works perfect and we didn’t had any problem with any of the facilities. The breakfast and dinner are served on the rooftop with an ocean view and hearing. The food: breakfast was amazing and with a lot of food for start the day. The dinner is made out of fresh fish with a lot of local ingredients. 10/10 The people: Alanka is the most helpful host I ever had. He’s super nice and will help you with anything you want. The experience started to be amazing before we arrived. We had an amazing experience and we will be coming back for sure.

We advise to go to eat to Silent Beach. it’s a small beach restaurent (left side when you go down to the Silent beach). Mariha is cooking extremely well, everything is delicious!

Very nice hotel for a good price. Stayed here for 10 nights and I felt home. The location is perfect with a beautiful view over the bay where you can surf. It is a bit of a quiet area with the beautiful silent beach only 5 minutes away. I would like to thank the owner Alanka who helped me with everything I needed. Definitely come back!

The room was very comfortable with a nice balcony looking out into the surrounding scenery. The host was really friendly and makes a beautiful breakfast on the top deck with a view out into the bay. The air con works great, warm showers were great. You’re walking distance to both of the pretty beaches in this area.
