My husband and I spent 3 wonderful nights at Aga Surf View. What a little piece of paradise ✨️ 😍. This small boutique hotel sits in a beautiful little Cove in Tangalle. Far enough away from the hustle and bustle, yet close enough in a short tuk tuk ride to get to anywhere. The property itself is gorgeous with that traditional tropical feel. Beautifully maintained gardens, a beautiful swimming pool and gorgeous restaurant and bar area overlooking the Cove. We stayed in a deluxe room and it was beautiful. It exceeded our expectations and whilst the photos look just like the property, it's even better in real life. The restaurant 😍, the food is amazing. It was so good we didn't feel the need to eat anywhere else. Lastly the staff. What can I say. They were so friendly, responsive, they honestly couldn't do enough for you Manut the manager and all the staff made us feel like we belonged. We even met the owner, Nudgee and he was also very lovely. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much for making our stay wonderful 💗

It’s a bit of a walk to find anywhere for dinner.

Prachtig mini resort met 6 tal ruime comfortabele bungalows, uitstekend restaurant , mooie tuin met mini zwembad en gelegen aan heerlijk beschutte baai. Rust en zeezicht al passeerden wij wel in laag seizoen (mogelijks veel drukker in hoogseizoen).

Weinig te zien in directe omgeving. Andere restaurants en hotels waren allen gesloten in juli. Stoorde ons totaal niet (beach fasen 2,5 weken rondreizen) maar wel iets om rekening mee te houden als je meer actie verwacht.

Wir können diese Unterkunft wirklich von ganzem Herzen weiterempfehlen. Unser Aufenthalt war in jeder Hinsicht absolut fantastisch von der ersten Begrüßung bis zur Abreise hat einfach alles zu 100 % gestimmt. Die Unterkunft ist wunderschön, sehr gepflegt und mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet. Dazu kommt ein Service, wie man ihn sich besser nicht wünschen könnte. Man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen und rundum verwöhnt. Ein ganz besonderes Lob möchten wir Manoj aussprechen. Er hat uns herzlich begrüsst und war während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts unglaublich zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Ganz egal, was wir gebraucht haben ob einen Mückenstecker, zusätzliche Badetücher oder irgendeine andere Unterstützung Manoj hat sich sofort darum gekümmert. Er war für uns praktisch der perfekte Gastgeber: aufmerksam, freundlich, herzlich und immer mit einem Lächeln. Auch Vishal möchten wir unbedingt erwähnen. Er hat uns im Restaurant hervorragend bedient und war dabei unglaublich aufmerksam, freundlich und professionell. Das ohnehin schon sehr!! feine und köstliche Essen wurde durch seinen hervorragenden Service und seine herzliche Art zu einem noch schöneren Erlebnis. Wir kommen definitiv wieder und können diese Unterkunft ohne jede Einschränkung weiterempfehlen. Eine absolute 10/10 und eine unserer besten Erfahrungen überhaupt!

Ensemble très chaleureux et décoré avec beaucoup de goût, qui donne sur une belle plage préservée avec des vagues pour surfer. Staff très sympathique et serviable, bon petit déjeuner, chambres spacieuses, propres et bien équipée. Herikitiya facile d’accès en Tuktuk. Une excellente adresse pour souffler au bord de l’eau dans un lieu calme décoré avec beaucoup de goût

Das ganze Team ist super nett und hilfsbereit. Echt richtig toller Service. Das Essen war extrem gut - wir haben viele verschiedene Gerichte probiert und alles war sehr lecker. Herausragend das Tuna Steak und die Fish Fingers.

Der Strand ist nicht der allerschönste, aber dafür der Silent Beach (600m entfernt) schon. Der Surflehrer, der mit der Unterkunft zusammen arbeitet (Tishkat) , war nicht unser Favorit. Bei Nadee (am Strand) hat es deutlich mehr Spaß gemacht.

Everything was great, but the only minor area of improvement would be for fresh pool towels to have been provided each day (fresh bath towels were provided each day even through we hung our bath towels up and didn't really need fresh ones each day. It would also be great if the steps down to the beach could be improved - we undertake that the stairs were damaged from the cyclone last year and that they are technically not part of the hotel's property, but nevertheless it would be much better for guests if they could be improved.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Aga Surf View & Restaurant. It was one of the highlights of our four-week trip around Sri Lanka. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. Our room was exceptionally clean and very well equipped with everything we needed. The pool was spotless and perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The restaurant served delicious food with a great variety of dishes. The prices for food and drinks are on the higher end compared to many other places in Sri Lanka. The view over the bay is simply breathtaking, especially at sunrise and sunset. Waking up to such a stunning panorama made our stay even more special. Overall, this was one of the best accommodations we experienced during our four-week journey through Sri Lanka. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

De plek was geweldig, het eten heerlijk en de accomodatie smetteloos schoon.

Het is prijziger, maar ook wel weer begrijpelijk voor wat je ervoor krijgt.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Was wir besonders geschätzt haben, ist die eigene kleine Bucht, in der man sehr gut surfen kann! Das Essen war auch wirklich super lecker und fußläufig ist der Silent Beach in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Der Strand war einfach traumhaft und definitiv einen Besuch wert!

Wir waren auf unserer Rundreise durch Sri Lanka hier 2 Nächte. Es ist, wie im Paradies hier. Wunderschön, sehr exklusiv. Alles sehr sauber, sogar der vorm Hotel befindliche öffentliche Strand wurde vom Hotelpersonal gereinigt. Sehr guter Service. Mannoud, der Manager versucht Alle Wünsche sofort zu erledigen. Nur Wunder dauern länger :-) Der Koch ist ein Profi in seinem Fach. Probiert den Kaffee dort. Ihr werdet nirgendwo einen besseren finden. Auch wenn er nicht gerade günstig ist. Massagen kann man dort auch buchen. Der Masseur ist aus der Gegend und hat seine mobile Liege dabei. Also ganz bequem im "eigenen" Häuschen bei Euch. Er versteht sein Handwerk sehr gut. Ich hatte eine 50min Fussmassage. Mega, sag ich nur.

Die Preise sind schob sehr hoch dort. Und zum Frühstück kann man eine Kaffeespezialität kostenlos auswählen. Es ist ja eine spezielle Röstung dort. Allerdings kostet dann jede weitere Tasse richtig Geld.

Wat een top plek. Het is echt een prachtige locatie, gelegen aan een strandje. Fijne faciliteiten zoals een schoon zwembad en goed restaurant met echt super lekker eten. Mooi ingerichte kamers. Het ontbijt is zeer uitgebreid (naar keus) en hele goede koffie. Tot slot heeft het personeel veel aandacht voor details; dwz elke dag schone badhanddoeken, een schone kamer. Wij vonden het verreweg de beste plek na 3 weken Sri Lanka.

The beach was too rough to swim and not much of a stretch to walk, not the property’s fault though.

This was by far my favorite stay during my time in Sri Lanka. We wished we had spent a whole week here. The property is so lush with a lovely pool area and great views of the beach. The food was delicious & was a nice spot to watch surfers. The room was both incredibly clean and smelled lovely.Its a bit outside of the busier town area, though still within easy driving distance and there is lots within walking distance also. The inlet provided a great beach swimming area, as well.

If you are traveling with friends/a group, the shower area does not have a door or curtain. This wasn’t a huge deal as we could sit by the pool or on the small patio for our room.

Magnifique hôtel, très bien tenu. Nous y sommes resté quelques jours avec des enfants qui ont adoré la piscine. On a pu y observer des écureuils, des magnifiques oiseaux et des singes en profitant du bar. Le petit dej est vraiment délicieux, notamment les cafés qui sont les meilleurs que nous ayons bu au srilanka

L’hôtel donne sur une charmante petite plage. Même si celle-ci ne leur appartient pas, peut-être que l’accès direct à la plage pourrait être un peu travaillé

Very beautiful gardens & pool, exceptional food. Perfect little spot right next to the beach and also walking distance to Silent Beach. Staff was very helpful & accomodating. Everything was clean and comfortable. Water pressure in the shower was really good, it‘s not always a given in Sri Lanka.

It is one of the more expensive accomodations.

Amazing place. Beautiful room and common areas, high quality furniture and bed. Very comfortable spot because you had access to the beach, without it being too hot. Staff were really helpful and accommodating for our request. Lastly, they had amazing coffee. Didnt leave the hotel for 3 full days :)

Everything was exceptional. The room, the staff, the view, the food. The surf break was right out the front and the beach was so authentic and quiet compared to nearby places.

Fantastic place. The staff were faultless and willing to help in any way. I highly recommend this place as a great place to spend a few relaxing days.

My only criticism is the door to our room did not stay closed unless locked. But that was a minor issue.

the main gate stays open and a lot of outside guests walk though it to go to the beach (even tho there is a road right next to it), so depending on which villa, it’s not very private. also the music played at the restaurant was often too loud and really inadequate. felt sometimes being in a club at 8am! it takes away the charm & relaxing vibe of being close to nature!

La chambre était spacieuse, décorée avec goût et propre. Le personnel accueillant. Les bungalows sont bien intégrés au milieu de la végétation.

La piscine est petite avec peu de transats. L’hôtel donne directement sur une plage relativement petite également.

Located right on the beach, this hotel boasts the perfect spot for surfing. The restaurant serves incredible food, delicious coffee, and amazing cocktails—my favorite being the passion fruit mojito! Every member of the staff, from restaurant and housekeeping to the front desk, was absolutely fantastic: welcoming, efficient, and friendly. The rooms are spacious with great privacy. Overall, it truly felt like a home away from home. This is a true gem in Tangalle that’s definitely worth a visit

The fan on our balcony still hasn’t been fixed, which was quite an inconvenience during our stay. Without a fan in the tropics, it really gets quite hot.

We loved everything about this place. Lovely spacious rooms, great restaurant and breakfasts, on a really nice beach that was calm enough for the kids to play in the water. We even saw a turtle just swimming in the bay. The staff were friendly and chill and efficient. And it’s next to a few beach bars to watch the sunset / palm trees. We thought we would go exploring other beaches in Tangalle but in the end we mostly stayed on this one. We really loved Aga Surf!

Honestly just book this place. We tried desperately to extend our stay but they were fully booked and rightfully so! What an oasis. The beach, the food, the ROOM, the staff - it’s so tranquil, easily the best place we stayed during our 3 week trip of Sri Lanka

If there’s anyway they can clean the beach a tiny bit directly in front of them, it would be PERFECT

Der Zugang zum Strand direkt vor dem Hotel war ziemlich dreckig und es liegt Schutt herum. Die Preise im Restaurant sind im Vergleich zu den danebenliegenden einfach zu hoch, wenngleich das Essen auch gut schmeckt.

Our stay at Aga Surf was truly wonderful and incredibly comfortable. The staff were amazing – such a lovely group of young people who made us feel completely at home from the very first day. Their warmth and care made our stay so easy and enjoyable that we could easily imagine staying much longer. The restaurant and food were great (although it would be nice to see even more traditional local dishes on the menu), and the music was absolutely fantastic – it created such a great vibe. We especially loved spending the hottest hours of the day working and relaxing in the bar area, which is very pleasant and has a nice view of the beach. The beach is right in front of the hotel, which is very convenient, although it’s a bit of a pity that the direct access and the view from the hotel side are not more nicely arranged – the staff kindly explained that this is not in their control, but it does feel a little surprising compared to how lovely everything else is. However, just a 5-minute walk away there is a stunning beach with turquoise water, white sand, peace and quiet, and charming little beach cafés. On the way there, you’ll also find a couple of good restaurants, which was a lovely bonus. Overall, Aga Surf is a beautiful, cozy place with great energy, amazing people, and a very relaxed atmosphere – I truly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, good vibes, and a home-like feeling by the ocean.

The room itself was beautifully decorated and very comfortable – the bed and pillows were excellent and we slept really well. One small thing that felt a bit unusual for a tropical destination was that the windows could not be opened, and there was no fan or mosquito net for the bed. We personally prefer sleeping with fresh air rather than closed windows and air conditioning, so this stood out a little, although everything else in the room was lovely.

We loved this place. The staff were amazing, so helpful and friendly. Lying in bed and could still see them surfing was fantastic.

We have a wonderful 5 night stay here over Christmas. It was just what we required. Quiet, relaxed and unassuming. Good beach for both swimming and surfing. The food both at breakfast and dinner were very good. There are plenty of nice family run restaurants within walking distance if you want some variety and a change of scene. The staff are kind and attentive and a credit to the establishment. Tuk Tuks were always available outside or via PickMe app for trips further afield

Estuvimos aqui hace unos días y nos encantó la experiencia desde el principio al final. El personal es muy amable y profesional y te hacen sentir muy cómodo en todo momento. La habitación era preciosa y muy cómoda y espaciosa. Tenía una zona de estar en el exterior y zona para secar la ropa. Está en una playa muy tranquila, donde te puedes bañar o practicar algún deporte. También tiene una piscina y la zona del restaurante es muy agradable, puedes cenar, comer o simplemente tomarte un coctel. El desayuno es muy bueno y variado... es un pequeño paraíso en la playa.

no puedo decir nada malo de este lugar, nos encantó la experiencia!!! la pena fue tener que irnos, realmente nos sentimos muy cómodos allí.

We cannot be happier with our stay here. We love it so much from day 1 that we booked an extra night! The rooms were spotless, cleaned every morning. The food was so so delicious. And the place in general is beautiful. The beach is just there and it’s quite close also to silent besch. We came to Tangalle thinking that we will visit several beaches and restaurants (as we normally do) but we ended up spending most of our stay here. We just couldn’t get enough of how well we were treated. Thank you to all the team for our awesome stay!

Der Blick vom Hotel auf das Meer ist wunderschön. Jedes der 5 Hotelzimmer ist in einem kleinen Haus und hat eine eigene kleine Terrasse. Das Essen im Restaurant ist sehr gut.

Zimmerpreis und Restaurantpreise sind recht hoch. Der Strand am Hotel ist nichts Besonderes, aber gut zum Schnorcheln und Schwimmen. Dafür ist der Silent Beach nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt.

Het enige wat ik zou kunnen bedenken is de rommel richting het strand. Maar we begrepen dat dit niet van hen is. Maar hier raak je ook aan gewend.

Aga Surf View was a beautiful, peaceful retreat after cycling through the country for 9 days. The rooms were a private luxurious oasis set in a garden setting with a gorgeous pool and walk, straight out to the ocean. The staff are amazing, so helpful and professional. The added bonus is a fantastic restaurant in the property. A perfect end to our stay in Sri Lanka.

I got 3 scam messages on WhatsApp asking me to click a link to confirm the hotel booking it wasn’t the hotels fault but I want to make people aware of it I rang the hotel before clicking the link and they confirmed it was spam

The room was incredible. Such a comfortable bed and a lovely clean space. It really did feel like a luxury stay and living up to the expectations. The staff were kind, friendly and very helpful throughout the stay. Because it is a cafe open to others the rooms weren't too private but it really wasn't a problem for us. The proximity to the beach was lovely and the beach felt very quiet and relaxing. An absolutely wonderful place to stay.

Симпатичный трендовый модный отель из отдельно стоящих бунгало. Красивая территория и бассейн. Фоточки для инстаграмма точно получатся 😉 Уютные большие номера и кровать! Завтрак - не буфет. Можно выбрать из нескольких позиций на человека.

Не совсем удобный пляж. Они говорят что он муниципальный, поэтому им даже нельзя убрать куски бетона и мусора при подходе к нему. Немного портит впечатление. Сама бухта очень небольшая. Вода спокойная доя плавания. Хоть в названии есть слово Surf, но как такового серфа там нет. Стоят пару досок. Постоянных инструкторов в отеле нет. Нужно вызывать заранее и они везут на другой пляж.

Belle chambre, propre et bien équipé. Tout le nécessaire était présent dans la chambre. La proximité avec la plage et le scooter mis à disposition par l’hôtel pour 3000 roupies par jour. Les serveurs qui travaillent très fort pour offrir un service de qualité. Mais tjrs les deux mêmes serveurs qui font leur possible du matin au soir.

Beaucoup trop cher pour ce que c’est! Le wifi - catastrophique. Prétexter des enjeux d’électricité après les inondations alors que même les petites chambres d’hôtes dans le pays ont été capables de nous offrir un wifi correct. Hôtel de “passage”. Beaucoup de monde qui ne reside pas à l’hôtel mais qui viennent prendre un verre/ café - voir le lieu. Ça fait un service plus lent.
