Top Lage in einer schönen Umgebung, Essen ist sehr empfehlenswert, ist nicht teurer als in Unawatuna selber. Personal ist hilfsbereit. Wir würden wieder kommen.

The food was good, and the location also not bad.

A Few Concerns 1. Staff Communication – Particularly at Reception I requested an early check-in by phone, and the request was approved. However, when I arrived at the agreed time, no one at the reception seemed to have been informed, and apparently there was no update in the system either. As a result, I had to wait approximately 40 minutes for the room. This shows a clear lack of internal communication among the reception staff. 2. Inconsistent Payment Policy At check-in, I requested to settle the payment at check-out because I was considering extending my stay by another night. However, I was told that I had to make the payment immediately at check-in. Interestingly, when I extended my stay for an additional night, I was told that the payment for the additional night could be made at check-out. This was quite confusing. If payment must be made at check-in, why was the payment for the additional night allowed at check-out? Other Cinnamon hotels I have stayed at have allowed payment at check-out, so I found this inconsistency difficult to understand. 3. Extension of Stay – Poor Internal Coordination After making the additional booking through Booking.com, I specifically called the reception and informed them that I was extending my stay for another night. I also requested to remain in the same room. Despite this, at around 12:00 p.m. the following day, another member of the reception staff called me regarding check-out and asked again about the extension. This was frustrating because I had already informed the reception in advance. Why was this information not updated in the system or communicated to the other staff members? Guests should not have to repeatedly provide the same information. 4. Staff Professionalism Overall, only a small number of staff members were friendly, professional, and provided the level of service I normally associate with Cinnamon Hotels. Unfortunately, several others were unprofessional in their behaviour and communication.

Le cadre verdoyant, la disposition de l’hôtel très conviviale, le beau restaurant, et surtout la superbe piscine, au top! Le personnel est très accueillant et aux petits soins, le petit déjeuner à la carte est très copieux.

Le manque d’éclairage dans le chambre, et l’absence de télé, annoncée dans le descriptif.

The hotel staff was very friendly. The hotel property was very clean, and the pool was even open late into the night. The pool water was pleasantly warm thanks to the climate. The hotel property was very appealing, and the rooms - with their exceptionally large balconies - are beautifully and creatively designed. Of all the massages we enjoyed in Sri Lanka, the ones offered at the hotel were the best and most professional. Breakfast is plentiful and prepared with great care. Overall, I would gladly recommend this hotel at any time.

To be honest, there’s nothing to get upset about or complain about. The hotel is impeccable.

We loved being off the beach, easy to access the beach in minutes on a tuk-tuk, but the vibe was the "green escape". Super comfortable large rooms and beds, a beautiful pool. And cannot forget the wonderful staff at the resort. And the bonus is as a diver, they have their dive shop on the beach! And least I forget, on our first night in the restaurant surprised us with a 🎂

A huge 3 bedroom villa for the 4 of us (we were expecting just one room with 2 big beds!) Gorgeous veranda with comfortable seating, good food and a lovely pool with plenty of loungers surrounding it. The location was quiet and it was perfect for a relaxing few days. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The only downside was that the pool was too hot!

We had a lovely stay at Green Escape. This place is surrounded by peaceful nature and has such a lovely view. Loved it! Oshadhi and Sadev were super friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We would visit again!

Location is very poor. Not walking distance to anything and impossible to get a tuktuk - had to get uber cars. Pool is HOT! This was the biggest let down for us - the pool was not in any way refreshing.

Beautiful hotel in a peaceful location.The room was spacious and very comfortable and spotlessly clean. All the staff were so friendly and welcoming and Dilan in the restaurant gave us exceptional service.The pool area is superb.

A stunning place about a 10 min tuk tuk ride away from the beach. You’re surrounded by nature and all its accompanying sounds and the staff couldn’t be more lovely (special shout out to Sadew). The room was very comfortable with a large private balcony as well as a huge bathroom.

This place is quite isolated so I think it would be more fun to stay as a couple, but I still really enjoyed it. The food is clearly adapted to the palate of a western tourist, which I found disappointing as finding a more flavourful local alternative required getting a tuktuk.

So beautiful with great amenities. Staff was very helpful and friendly. A little paradise. The bathroom has a nice open feel.

We stayed here for two nights and everything was perfect. We had breakfast and dinner which were both lovely. Sadew and Oshadhi were great and were always smiling! We would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Location was absolutely perfect, peaceful, tranquil, sounds of birds, beautiful pool area surrounded by nature, it was our sanctuary. The staff all welcoming, friendly & helpful. Breakfast was freshly made each morning, all tasty & plentiful. I tried the coconut roti for lunch that was amazing. We had a deluxe room above the kitchen/dining area, staff never woke us in the morning and it wasn’t busy enough to disturb us at night. We loved our view from the balcony, size of room was perfect, yes you do get bugs in the bathroom how anyone can complain about that I do not know? You are in a tropical country in jungle surroundings. We had an issue with our bed it was sorted out for us, I will say it was too hard for me, might not be for others? The only reason I am not giving 10 is for that reason. I would happily go back if I could soften the matress! Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

Surrounded by nature, peace & staff.

Fabulous location, surrounded by fifty shades of green! Lots of flora and fauna, quiet, peaceful and restful. Food and drink is reasonably priced, staff are very nice and helpful too. Close to Unawatuna and Turtle beach but far enough away to not be bothered by the noise. The hotel uses a Tuk Tuk driver called Gayan, great guy, very knowledgeable about the area and places to go, doesn’t overcharge too.

Bathroom could do with a little TLC

We liked the setting. Staff are fantastic.

There are a number of dogs and cockerels nearby which can be irritating. Breakfasts were good but didnt really enjoy the dinners. Portions are small and invariably arrive cold after a long wait.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt im Green Escape. Es ist etwas außerhalb gelegen, aber das ist es ja auch, was es verspricht. Mit dem Tuktuk ist man aber sehr schnell am Strand und im Ort. Die Zimmer waren sehr geräumig und sauber. Das Personal war sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Wir würden immer gerne wieder kommen!

Wir hatten einen wirklich wunderbaren Aufenthalt im Green Escape Hotel und können dieses Hotel absolut weiterempfehlen. Das Hotel liegt wunderschön im Grünen, etwas abseits und bietet eine ruhige und entspannte Atmosphäre. Besonders gefallen hat uns der große Pool. Man fühlt sich dort sofort wohl. Schon bei der Ankunft wurden wir freundlich begrüßt. Der Service im gesamten Hotel war herzlich und aufmerksam. Sowohl an der Rezeption als auch im Restaurant haben sich alle Mitarbeitenden große Mühe gegeben, damit wir uns rundum wohlfühlen. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das Team im Restaurant: Dilan, Kawidu und Madu. Vor allem Dilan hat unseren Aufenthalt wirklich besonders gemacht. Er war unglaublich aufmerksam, hat sich immer erkundigt, wie es uns geht, wie unser Tag war und ob wir etwas brauchen. Diese persönliche und sehr freundliche Art war wirklich grossartig. Auch das Team an der Rezeption war jederzeit sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Vielen Dank an Sadew, Oshadhi und Senudi, die uns bei Fragen unterstützt haben. Das Essen im Hotel war ebenfalls lecker. Wir haben dort Frühstück, Mittagessen und Abendessen gegessen und waren jedes Mal zufrieden. Auf Empfehlung des Hotels waren wir außerdem mit Pearl Divers tauchen, was eine tolle Erfahrung war. Das Hotel und auch das Essen sind etwas teurer als viele lokale Optionen in der Umgebung. Dafür bekommt man jedoch eine wunderschöne Anlage, gutes Essen und vor allem einen außergewöhnlich freundlichen Service.

Pont a konyha fölött volt a szobánk, így az hangos volt. Az elszívó is és a szag sajnos bejött a szobákba is. A reggelinél kicsit nehézkesen mennek a dolgok. Lassan, nehezen szolgáltak ki, de az ételek finomak.

Wow what an amazing place! The beds are comfortable, the WiFi works well. The staff are very friendly. The pool area is great. The tropical gardens are so beautiful set in natural surroundings. Food is fantastic and good price. Not too far from Turtle beach.

A quiet oasis in the countryside a short tuk tuk ride away from the bustling beach and town of Unawatuna. We had a room high up in the trees with a beautiful Verander to relax and feel a welcome breeze. The swimming pool area had plenty of loungers and shade. All the staff were extremely welcoming and a special shout out to the reception staff sadew, Oshadhi and Senudi. We had a great breakfast choice with freshly made omelets and pancakes. Would highly recommend if you are seeking a calm relaxing environment.

We liked the beautiful gardens, the swimming pool area with high quality sunbeds, the restaurant and the general air of a luxury retreat in a kind of faded colonial style. We loved the wall art in the room depicting wild birds and sitting outside on the verandah to watch and listen to the birds.

I would only politely suggest that the bathroom of our room could be improved with replacement of the plants in the outside area (by the shower), which we’re looking rather unhealthy. They could be replaced with artificial ones if necessary. The area would also benefit from having the walls freshly painted. This did not detract from our overall enjoyment of the room, however.

The food could be improved. I feel it’s important to point out that what you see on their instagram is not true to real life (in our experience). Anything sri lankan/indian is good and tasty though so one recommend ordering that. Breakfast is fine but sometimes cold depending on what time you go. The first night we had dinner there and ordered vegetarian and a chicken meal arrived. We also ordered sri lankan breakfast for our last morning the day before (as requested they need more time to prepare) and in the morning the restaurant staff knew nothing about it. Thankfully the kind waiter asked the kitchen to prepare anyway and it didn’t take long. Our experience with the food sadly did taint the our visit.

I really enjoyed the setting of the hotel, right in the midst of the rainforest and so well integrated in it. The pool is also wonderful, and the staff is always willing to help. The restaurant serves amazing food at honest prices.

We loved our rooms high up with a view of the tree canopy. The beds and pillows are comfy and the rooms are nicely appointed. The pool is fantastic and we loved strolling the garden to spot all the birds and wildlife. Breakfast was very good.

Lugar muito tranquilo, longe de barulho e confusão. Pequeno almoço muito bom e quantidades generosas. Quarto muito limpo e confortável. Boa piscina. O Sadew foi muito atencioso e prestável ao ficar à nossa espera para o check in tardio, pois chegamos à noite.

Sehr gute Unterkunft mit einem Pool im Grünen, super Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis und sehr hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter, insbesondere Oshadhi hat einen super Job gemacht.

Udendørsarealerne var super hyggelige. Personalet var søde og hjælpsomme. Lækker morgenmad.

Vores hus var hyggeligt, men var ikke så rent i f.eks. køkkenet. Der var mange myrer, særligt på badeværelset.

Prachtige locatie in de natuur, bij het inchecken zagen we al een langur aapje over de daken lopen dus dit was al super leuk. Het zwembad is fantastisch en er zijn genoeg ligbedden. De kamers zijn schoon, luxe en hebben alles wat je nodig hebt. Het personeel was mega aardig en hielp ons met alles wat we maar konden verzinnen.

Персонал очень дружелюбный и во всем помогает. Территория просто сказочная , спокойствие и умиротворение. Очень много животных , настолько много что бывает в душ заползает змея, для меня это были эмоции, для Супруги так))) В общем и целом отель отличный.

Выбор завтрака бедный но сытный. Мы приехали в 6 утра, отель работает с 8:00 мы не знали. Пришлось самим пробраться в отель и будить охрану;))

This place was really nice and peaceful. We had our own 3 bed villa and it was very roomy, great to have 2 bathrooms and some privacy. Pool area and Sri Lankan breakfast was nice too.

It is a lot further out than we realised and was sometimes difficult to get a tuk tuk which meant we didn’t get to explore unawatuna town so much. If the restaurant was better it would be a great spot to stay and escape the business of unawatuna though.

The position is 10 minutes by car to the centre of Unawatuna. For me was perfect, as I wanted to be in an isolated situation. Staff really fantastic and efficient.

Unfortunately, the room was close to the kitchen’s hood, so it was slightly noisier than it should have been.

Beautifully lush green surrounding a peaceful time away from busy streets. Lovely rooms, especially bathroom, great breakfast. Let us store our bags on checkout and come back for a swim while waiting for airport ride at 7pm, that was invaluable!

La struttura è veramente eccellente, una vera e propria oasi di relax in mezzo al verde. La cordialità dello staff (Sadew e Oshadi in particolare) è sempre stata ottima, ci hanno sempre accolto con un sorriso e aiutato per ogni nostra necessità. Ho particolarmente apprezzato la qualità della colazione (veramente varia!).

Ho trovato il rapporto qualità/prezzo dei pasti (pranzo e cena alla carta) un po’ sbilanciato, ritengo inoltre che possa essere utile l’installazione di una ventola nel bagno della stanza (non potendo aprire le finestre a causa di insetti e animali)

Le lieu est très agréable, nous avons entendu les oiseaux, les écureuils et nous avons même vu des singes. Les extérieurs et la piscine sont très bien entretenus.

Le personnel en contact avec la clientèle n’est pas à la hauteur d’un hôtel 4 étoiles.

Restaurant is below par for a place like this. For all their sweetness. waiters & waitresses still need some serious job training.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft inmitten der einer tollen grünen Landschaft. Man kann hier sehr gut die Ruhe genießen und ist mit den Tuktuk in wenigen Minuten im Ort, wo es diverse Restaurants und Geschäfte gibt. Man ist so weg von dem Trube der Hauptstraße. In dem tolle Garten kann ma außerdem viele Tiere sehen (Affen, Pfauen, Eichhörnchen etc.) Das Frühstück war lecker. Man konnte zwischen Pancakes, Amerikaner brekfast oder Sri Lanka Breakfast wählen. Das Personal war freundlich und bemüht. Toll war auch der Billiardtisch, den man kostenfrei nutze konnte.

Die Zimmer waren etwas klein und an der ein oder anderen Stelle etwas marode.

The rooms were a bit outdated and there was a lot of mold in our bathroom. The towels were worn out and that’s not something you expect from a hotel with 4 stars and this price range in Sri Lanka.
