Отель расположен в тихом, уютном месте. Каждое утро можно было наблюдать за дикими обезьянами, павлинами и другой живностью. Ощущали себя как в джунглях. Персонал отеля очень доброжелательный, всегда помогут и подскажут. В номере была мини-кухня (на балконе), но приготовить можно было максимум кофе или чай, т.к. отсутствует плита. Но можно попросить хозяйку и вам приготовят ваши продукты (мы покупали рыбу и креветки). За это попросят чисто символическую плату. Рядом неплохое кафе, вкусно и относительно недорого готовят (по сравнению с другими кафешками и ресторанчиками Унаватуны), но оплата только налом. В целом отель и место расположения понравились.

Если вы рассчитываете на полноценный четырехзвездочный отель, то вас ждет разочарование. Уборка в номере 1 раз в три дня и то нужно попросить (это прописано в правилах). Мусорки освобождали только по запросу. Замена полотенец тоже. Из туалетных принадлежностей - только один кусок мыла. Пришлось искать ближайший магазин и все закупать самостоятельно (в прошлом году отдыхали в Китае в трехзвездочном отеле - там каждый день: уборка, новые зубные щетки, зубная паста, гель-души, свежие полотенца). Возможно у них это норма, но мы были не готовы. Особое внимание необходимо обратить на то, что отель расположен на возвышенности. Возвращаться в отель придется по крутому подъему и не важно с какого пляжа вы возвращаетесь. Поэтому туда-назад особо не находишься. До ближайших благ цивилизации (магазинчики, сувенирные лавки, ресторанчики) необходимо прилично пройтись. Нас спасал скутер.

The moment my daughter and I arrived we were greeted with smiles and assistance with our luggage. We were informed of room amenities and showed the fabulous pool etc. We were soon afterwards provided with cups of tea. The owners were kind and caring and very happy to assist. The room and ensuite were clean and even had a mosquito net, although there were no mossies. Fantastic delicious breakfast options too.

Сам отель как комплекс здания, бассейна и территории неплох, но управляется он ужасно. Ланкийцы хреновые управленцы....не видяд очевидных проблем , грязь везде, особо не разбегуться помочь... А если учесть, что отель управляется семьёй...то вообще атас: они заняты своими делами, то родственники к ним приехали, то еще что ... На кухне мухи просто как дома, кучи мух...при этом готовится завтрак((( собака тут же ходит, неизвестно моют ли руки, естественно, все без перчаток... В нашем двухкомнатном номере были старые кондиционеры, изза которых невозможно спать. Хозяйка предложила мне номер сначала ниже категорией, я отказалась в него ехать. Затем предложила получше, и , что положительно хочу отметить, кондиционер заменили на новый. Но после замены весь срач оставили мне, никто ничего не убрал... Балдахин тоже грязнючий, пришлось платить уборщикам , чтобы постирали.

Внутри номер грязный: пятна на мягкой мебели, мухи Бассейн неухоженный, вокруг него кишат термиты и на это всем плевать, грязные, неаккуратно сложенные матрацы для лежаков...бррр

SO much better than the photos, it was such a beautiful property and blew us away. Set in a lush jungle with monkeys in the trees and lots of bird life. Beautiful big rooms, exceptionally clean and each with a balcony and outdoor kitchen. AC and wifi were perfect, and the pool area was stunning. A huge pool, very well maintained, surrounded by mango trees. Location was beautiful and quiet up the hill but still very easily walkable to both Unawatuna and Jungle beach - nice to have the easy option of both. And exceptional local restaurants (much cheaper than down the hill!) close by. Breakfast was delicious and filling. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Amazing value for money and we hope to return one day!

Данный вариант размещения совсем не похож на привычный 4-х звездочный отель, скорее что-то среднее между отелем и гест хаусом. Здесь нет привычной стойки ресепшен, вход в мою комнату был через прачечную. Территория очень красивая, зеленая, настоящий сад. Хозяева - семейная пара, приветливые и дружелюбные. В номере стеклянное панорамное окно и вид на сад - очень красиво. На территории можно увидеть попугаев, бурундуков, павлинов и обезьянок. Атмосфера очень приятная, как у бабушки летом на даче. Бассейн чистый, вода в бассейне теплая. В номере есть большой балкон, на котором разложена кухня. Есть блендер, мультиварка, холодильник и тостер. В номере так же был фен, сейф, кондиционер и вентилятор. В отеле чувствуешь себя комфортно и безопасно. Нахождение в отеле располагает к спокойному и расслабленному отдыху в окружении природы

Уборки номера не было совсем, полотенца меняли если попросить. В душевой нет никакого ограждения, вся вода льется прямо на пол в ванной, следовательно весь пол мокрый. Утром и вечером не было горячей воды, вода была не ледяная, но летняя. Выбор вариантов завтрака небольшой, порции очень маленькие. Для меня такого завтрака было недостаточно. Отель располагается в джунглях, для меня это был плюс, потому что хотелось жить в более уединенном месте вдали от шумной улицы. Но стоит учитывать, что дорога от пляжа к отелю освещена очень плохо и нужно подниматься в горку

Очень понравилось в этом отеле! Чудесные приветливые владельцы, готовые всегда помочь - например, хозяйка зашила моей жене на машинке разорванную юбку, и очень качественно, спасибо!! Огромный бассейн, около 20 метров в длину - большой плюс отеля. Быстрый интернет, до 180 Мбит/с - для Шри-Ланки просто топ!!! Вкусные завтраки, 5 видов на выбор. В номере есть кухня с холодильником - тоже плюс. Отличный жесткий балдахин от комаров надо кроватью. Тихий район, мимо никто не ездит практически. Только петухи утром иногда поют... Ближайший рест и кофемашина в паре минут от отеля. Короче, рекомендую!

В целом, все отлично, но лучше бы они убрали огромные мягкие кресла из номера, из-за них в комнате тесновато. Ну и расположение на горе, куда не каждый тук-тук заедет, до основной прогулочной улицы пешком минут 10, до Jungle Beach идти 15 минут по тропе (мопед не пройдет).

Все прекрасно, Отель окружен тропическим лесом, можно наблюдать за дикими животными прямо с балкона. Рядом замечательный пляж Джангл бич (хоть идти до него не просто). Хозяева отеля замечательные люди. Номера просто огромные.

We love being outside the bustle of Unawatuna but within an easy walk of the shops and the beach. The rooms are great and the pool is way better than in the photos! The pool area is edged with Mango trees and is really secluded, the garden is gorgeous. The town of Unawatuna is a great spot just outside Galle, beautiful beach, great restaurants, easy access to Galle and the airport.

The location was perfect, away from the noise & buzz of Unawatuna. You could walk to both beaches, although quite hilly, as well as an excellent local restaurant called Grandgers and a laundry service. The breakfast was very nice and substantial, the bed was comfortable with quality sheets & it was very quiet. There was also a pool but we didn’t use it as we went to the beach each day.

We didn’t like the check in process. We felt it needed clearer clarification regarding payment for our stay. It should have been stated from the outset that it was an expectation that the stay be paid for upfront which would have been completely fine. However, as it wasn’t stated or outlined, we were then accosted quite abruptly by the female host at the end of breakfast the first morning of our stay and again the following morning. You don’t generally take money down to pay and settle your bill first thing in the morning, when you’re enjoying a relaxed breakfast with your family. It was a very muddled and poorly executed process. The bathroom needs a toilet roll holder, more storage, some shampoo & soap tray. The lock on the door was strange as it was at the bottom of the door. The female host was prickly and unfriendly during our stay. She did help arrange some tuk tuks on the last day which we appreciated but she didn’t say goodbye. She was the least welcoming and hospitable host we encountered during our 3 week stay in Sri Lanka. The other staff were very nice.

Прекрасный отель. Чисто и тихо. Вокруг джунгли - буквально райский сад. Работники отеля крайне приветливы и дружелюбны. Хорошие завтраки. Хозяева отеля всегда готовы помочь со всеми вопросами.

Находится на горе. Тук-тук стоит чуть дороже. Пешком подниматься не всегда удобно по жаре.

We particularly liked the quiet situation of the hotel, the huge swimming pool and a very comfortable large room with kitchen area. Phillip, Ransi & their staff were so kind and couldn’t do enough to help.

Lovely establishment. I have stayed with this proprietor 10 times out of 13 trips to Sri Lanka, in various of their locations, but this is my second stay at this resort. The rooms are spacious, excellent Aircon and an extra ceiling fan, tho I didn’t need it. There is lots of closet space and a good safe for your money, cards, passport jewelry etc With my room I have an outdoor kitchen, coffee table and chairs, and a dining table for six on my own private balcony. The bird song is beautiful. There was a huge pool which I enjoyed. The grounds are luscious and the jasmine plants smell divine. The wildlife is a pleasant sound to drift off or wake up to and surprisingly, as it is a jungle area resort, I didn’t have one bug in my room, not even a fly! The bed was huge and comfy, homelike, and theres a very good mosquito net. The breakfasts are lovely and I do enjoy my food at Ransi’s. I particularly love the toast and the choice of jams (the bread is excellent) eggs etc, a choice of 4 breakfast, if I remember correctly, and a freshly brewed pot of coffee from a cafetiere, made with real Sri Lanka/ceylon coffee. I have been home two days and totally missing the place already. Ransi is adorable and if you’re lucky enough to stay in her establishment, you have to try her jackfruit curry…best curry I’ve lasted in my whole life..no joke! I Ransi, Philip and the boys are such a lovely family and it’s a pleasure to stay with them. They completely leave you alone to get on with your holiday as you please, they have security at the door all night. They have a sweet Doberman who is so mild, and loves to have a leaf in his mouth all the time 😀 he’s a good extra security.

Big rooms with clean facilities.

The hotel felt more like a warehouse and wasn't very welcoming. You had to walk through a storage hallway that opened onto the kitchen area to get to the breakfast seating. The hotel was quite far up a narrow road and it was a bit of a trek from Unawatuna beach (particularly during rain showers). The pool was very shallow and wasn't very warm or clean. We wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Está un poco lejos del centro de Unawatuna en lo alto de una cuesta, pero se puede ir andando en 15 minutos. Un poco caro.

Ze hadden voor ons een pick up geregeld vanuit het vliegveld waar we vroeg in de ochtend landden. Daarna bij het hotel konden we meteen de kamers in (9 uur). Dit was erg fijn voor ons. De kamers had alles wat het nodig had. Het personeel was ook echt heel aardig en wilde met alles helpen. Daarnaast was het ontbijt ook erg lekker en keuze uit verschillende soorten. Wij waren met 8 personen en dit stond snel op tafel.

De gordijnen lieten heel veel licht door

The hotel is located in the jungle, between two beaches - Jungle Beach and Unawatuna. Friendly hosts, interesting green area. Swimming pool. Huge, well-stocked rooms, lots of towels. At our request, a transfer to the airport was arranged.

It is necessary to clean up the garbage daily.

- The room is self-contained and you have access to a kitchen, which is useful. - The bed was very clean and comfortable. - The kitchen staff were very kind and attentive. - Good location out of the centre (20 minute walk to the restaurants) and 10 minutes from the beaches. - Breakfast was delicious. - There is a pool but I did not use this.

- It felt like I was staying in someone’s house not a hotel. - No reception on arrival and there was no area that you could sit in other than the room itself. The kitchen area was used by the family and their guests and the lounge (which you have to go through to leave the rooms) had other people sleeping on the sofa or watching TV, which made me feel a bit out of place! - The chairs in the room are dirty and could do with a clean. - The rugs on the concrete floor are dangerous and should be glued down or removed. - Towels were not all clean but could be easily changed. - The bathroom floods as there is no quick drainage and it is a wet room. - The utensils and equipment in the kitchen (in the room) are old and dirty and there is no tea or coffee provided.

Excellent and helpful hotel owners, friendly staff. The environment is nicely arranged, good swimming pool, delicious breakfast. Relatively good Wi-Fi as in Sri Lanka. Hotel on a hill, suitable for those who like peace.

I very much enjoyed my stay. Ransi was the perfect host. Location is handy for jungle beach and Unawatuna ‘village’ where most of the restaurants and shops are. Room was spacious and clean and there was plenty of choice for breakfast. I loved the pool too!

Thank you Ransi & Philip, your home is a gem of a hotel that ticks all the right boxes. We had a truly relaxing and comfortable stay in your ground floor room with a garden view. A great size and comfortable bed, with an effective mosquito net. Powerful hot water shower and abundance of clean towels. The kitchen has ample amenities if needed. The kettle & fridge made it possible to make an early morning cuppa and afternoon coffee. The complimentray fresh water station, thats generally missing in hotels, was a huge bonus. The pool is the perfect temperature to cool off in and spotlessly clean. The staff are happy, laid back, and will do all they can for you if you ask. The location is a home from home to return to after day trips. Set in green surroundings, we watched monkeys in the trees at breakfast, met a peacock on the roof top while enjoying the sea view and your family of chickens and handsome dog, Tiny helped make us feel at home. One of the best srilanka restaurants, Grangers, is literally next door. Next door to Grangers is Aunty, disguised as a fruit seller, she's happy to organise transport and trips and even wash your colths!  The main beach and hub of restaurants is a nice downhill walk. In the opposite direction, Jungle beach a short but tricky walk. It's definitely worth it, if your lucky, you have your lunch stolen by monkeys and catch the most incredible sunsets. I hope we get the opportunity to stay with you again  or catch up over coffee in Kingston xx

Very Spacious and beautiful room with minimal kitchen in quiet area, not too far from town and the beaches.

I paid extra for a sea view room, and did not get one cause the trees were too high and there was no sea at all visible. When I told the hosts, they did not offer any discounts. Also be ready to pay for your stay cash only. Nice hosts, but not much availability if questions which is ok if you know and are ready to manage your trip details. There was no room cleaning in 5 days of stay, minor cleaning like emptying the trash and vacuuming the floor would have been nice at some point.

Good simple choices for breakfast. Lovely quiet location and a nice short stroll to the beach and restaurants. Staff and the owners Philip and Ransi are exceptionally friendly and helpful, they made us feel very welcome.

Everything was great.

Everything was great! The room was very spacious, new, clean and nice with a wonderful view. The location was excellent, among the jungle, and at the same time very close to the main street. And most importantly the hosts and the entire staff. We traveled with a 7-month-old baby, the hosts made sure that we lacked nothing. They showed us a lot of help and kindness. I definitely recommend! a wonderful place! The breakfasts were outstanding and large!

We had a spacious room with a comfortable bed and the aircon worked very well and the pool was very big and the breakfast there was a few options to pick from which were very nice.

The construction that was happening on the property, slight hill to get up to so would need a tuktuk back and felt like more of a guest house stay then hotel but still had a lovely stay.

Hotel Paradiso is run by a lovely couple, Ransi and Phillip. They were so kind and helpful throughout our stay - Ransi made us a delicious lunch one day, they were flexible with a later check out due to a late flight, they arranged us an airport transfer and so on! The room was a brilliant size and the bed was comfortable. The pool was great! The location is good, around 15 minutes walk to the beach/main strip. The breakfast was great, the best we've had whilst travelling Sri Lanka. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone staying in Unawatuna!

The hotel is very clean and in calm area. The host is amazing, very helpful and makes sure you will feel comfortable like home.

The hosts Phillip & Rancy are so welcoming. The rooms were lovely with air con and spacious. The pool was big and really nice. It was a short walk to the town centre, but I lovedn the beautiful surroundings of this hotel. Breakfast was tasty and all the staff couldn't do enough for you. If I return to sri lanka I will definitely come back to this place. Highly recommend, great value for money.

Couldn’t have wished for a better place to stay! The morning of checkin, my partner put his back out and was as bed-bound for almost a week while it healed. We ended up extending our stay to almost two weeks to allow him time to get better and we’re so thankful we were checking into such a lovely hotel when this happened! Our room (studio with terrace) was massive, the pictures don’t do it justice at all, beautiful big windows/doors with a lovely view of the garden letting in loads of light (but with big proper curtains for privacy if you want it) A comfy sofa and arm chair, dining table, kitchen with huge fridge and ample cooking facilities, lovely bathroom. The mattress was probably the best we’ve ever slept on in a hotel, so comfy, great pillows too. The AC was amazing and room very well insulated, we could turn the AC off all day while we were out and we’d come back to a room still cool. Plus the room was super clean and considering we were on the ground floor we were surprise we didn’t have any ants or bugs at all in the room. Lovely big pool that’s cleaned & maintained several times a week by a pool professional, big comfy, padded sun loungers. Tasty and varied breakfast menu - because we were there so long we tried everything on the menu and it’s all delicious and served fresh to order. Proper good French press coffee! Everyone who works there is happy and helpful and full of smiles and you can tell it’s a family run place. FREE water refills were a life saver! Two very cute cats owned by the family were also a joy to play with. Some might fear the location is a little out of town but it’s a short 10 minute walk down the hill and you’re at the beach or in town, and there are a number of restaurants just around the corner from the hotel anyway as well as a small local shop selling snacks and drinks for a very reasonable price. Also, there are loads of options on Uber eats that deliver to the hotel if you want a chilled night in.

If there was any suggestion I could make, the only small thing missing for us would be the ability to be able to buy drinks and snacks from the hotel in the day time after breakfast but water is free and always available and there is a restaurant and shop just around the corner from the hotel.

The property is clean, well-located, and has huge rooms. There’s also a pool which can be used until 11 pm and that is something given how pool timings generally work! The owner, Ransi, is extremely sweet and would go out of her way to help! There are a bunch of cafes and souvenir shops in the street just outside Paradiso.

Very large clean room with a kitchenette ( fridge freezer, blender, kettle). Comfortable sofas in the room and comfortable chairs on the balcony. Excellent pool with lots of comfortable loungers. Good choice of breakfast with great Italian coffee. Ransi and Philip are superb hosts.

The rooms are huuuge, swiming pool lovely, owners are kind and lovely people, they will help you to book tuctuc or taxi or activities for the best price. You got 4 choices for breakfast and people working here friendly and quiet. It's impossible to find better for this price.

Very spacious room, nice bathroom with extra towels for the swimming pool, mini kitchen with fridge, balcony with great view. Breakfast was excellent, the owner and the staff very friendly and helpful. Great location, very quiet but only 10 mins away from the beach and the city centre. I would definitely recommend this property.

Lovely accommodation and lovely owners. The room was very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Peaceful but close enough to places. The pool area was large and relaxing. All in all, a very good accommodation.

We booked a 2-bedroom apartment: -apartment windows are facing to palm trees -good sized rooms -good shower pressure and hot water -nice breakfast -very lovely and helpful owners and staff -Owners of the hotel are approachable, they were always around and helped eg: to fix the AC in our room or when my husband was not feeling well -check out is at 11:00 am but we could stay a bit longer in the apartment -free water available 24/7 in the diner -big beds -we got provided loads of towels -extended roof: actually, it’s a pretty useful solution as we had heavy rains even during the dry season and our balcony remained dry thanks to the super wide roof -every chair has cousin so much more comfortable than sitting on a wooden surface -master bedroom has nice furniture and carpets, makes the room cosy

We booked this hotel cos of the time of the booking it has a 9.5 rate. We were excited to spend the last couple of days of our holiday in a nice, clean hotel but actually it was not clean at all. :( -pool was dirty: hair, plastic rubbish was floating on the surface, bottom was dirty too and the edge of the pool around literally was black from dirt -pool and hotel staircases were dirty -our kitchen did stink and we got old, used sponge to wash the dishes -fridge was dirty -kitchen equipment was dusty and dirty -during our 4 day long stay building work was in the garden all day long, just under our balcony, started between 7-8am, including explosions -things are just messy, eg: at the entrance of the dining room an old washing machine and a small fridge are being stored -all of the chair cushions are dirty and stained

Great location, out of town, but within walking distance. Wonderful welcone from hotel owners. Quiet poolside, with loungers & shady trees. Airy studio room, with private balcony, nice sea view, air con & ceiling fans.

On 4th floor, no lift, but staff did carry up luggage for us.

Fantastic studio in a superb location. Fab balcony overlooking the sea in one direction and the jungle in the other. Hosts were very helpful.

Breakfasts in Sri Lanka were excellent but unfortunately the breakfasts at this hotel were basic with little choice. Disappointing.

The room and premises are beautiful, everything is clean, and the owner and staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The owner helped accommodate all our needs, including organising laundry services externally, transportation, and installing new wifi for our work calls. The room was huge and really beautiful.

I really liked the quietness of the place, the breakfast was good and the pool was never busy. Studio room had a good air conditioning and was really big.

Hotel is up the hill, so sometimes we needed to rent a tuktuk to get to it. Also towels were a little bit dirty. And we had a transparent glass door to the bathroom. It was okay because there were only too of us, me and my friend. But the hotel needs to come up with any idea of curtains because it's a little embarassing to see your friend sitting on a toilet:)

The owners of this hotel are wonderful the staff are lovely and friendly, the rooms are spacious with very comfy beds and sofas. Wi-Fi is outstanding. Swimming pool huge. Omelettes are perfect and great coffee. Monkeys can be seen in the trees from the garden and the location is perfect it sits only a short walk from jungle beach which has a great restaurant and the beach is beautiful and the village on Unawatuna with loads of amazing beach restaurants and little shops.

Absolutely nothing I didn’t want to leave and would book it again if I ever returned to Unawatuna.

Big fresh room with separate summer kitchen where you can cook. Good big bed, also we had a sofa in our room and very good bathroom. Every day we had good breakfasts with delicious coffee. Owners helped us with everything we needed. Thank them very much for their big job in this place and for friendly atmosphere. This place is settled down between 2 beaches - Unawatuna beach and Jungle beach

Spacious and clean room with beautiful furniture and a very comfortable bed. Nice bathroom with good water pressure.

There was some construction work going on that made it impossible to use our patio. We were however compensated for this inconvenience by the management.

When we were approaching the hotel by car, I was a bit afraid of its location - it seemed to be further from the ocean and Main Street than I expected. However, it later turned out as an advantage. The hotel is located away from the noise but still very close to the 2 beaches. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. We had a spacious family apartment consisting of 2 bedrooms (one having a spacious living room to hang out) - and a joined balcony with kitchenette to enjoy the meal together. There was enough of hot water in both bathrooms. The staff couldn’t have been better, the owners are a lovely couple eager to answer all questions. The kids loved the spacious pool with sunbeds - and a cat they stalked around. The breakfast was very tasty, with variety of eggs and pancakes. Thank you for having us around!

The staff at breakfast failed to serve us the dishes we ordered each time out of three. Each morning there was something they mixed up - amount of portions, drink selection etc. It seemed that their English was not enough. In the rooms there are occasional spider nets. Moreover, I could not sleep well - there are dogs on the premises who are barking in the night, and the curtains are not thick enough. Though I used ear plugs and a sleeping mask, I still could not get enough rest.

Clean cozy, friendly staff. Large and clean swimming pool, well-groomed area around. Very large room with a separate exit to your patio.

There was no hot water in the evenings. At the exit from the room to the backyard, construction work was carried out, they started early in the morning and did not allow them to sleep.

Such a great place to stay in Unawatuna. It's a nice and quiet area surrounded by nature. The owner is very friendly and communicative. All the staff who work at Paradiso are willing to help at any time with anything and never stop smiling. My partner and I love this place so much that we've decided to extend our stay to 6 days.

Owners were lovely. Great jungle setting with beautiful gardens. Big rooms with kitchen and sofa area to chill out. Good value for money. It was great for us as a family as we had two rooms that shared a private balcony and kitchen. Our girls loved all the little frogs in the garden and seeing monkeys on the way to dinner.

A bit of a walk up a hill from the beach but nice quiet location.

Everything! The staff, the hotel, the breakfast, the room! I will come back for sure! People are so wonderful and kind, cook very well, the room was beautiful, spacious, so clean. So silent, so nature. Good balcony! 5* thank you!

The flat itself is nice and huge. Loved the balcony. Internet was also stable, enough for work.

The location, but if you are on a bike then it’s not a problem. Breakfast was one of the worst and the pool could be a bit cleaner. There is no daily cleaning as in usual hotels.

Extremely friendly and ready to help staff. We were able to use owner's kitchen since our apartment didn't have it. The view from the balcony and roof was stunning. The hotel stays in a very quiet location surrounded by jungle. Totally recommended.

Very good choice. We really enjoyed our vacation in Paradiso. The hotel hidden from main Unawatuna street on the road to Jungle beach. Monkeys, peacocks and palm squirrel are often guests in Hotel garden 😊 Nice swimming pool, huge clean rooms with everything what you need during vacation. Breakfast is simple but still tasty (eggs, toasts, pancakes, fruits). The owners and staff are super friendly and helpful. I think we could not have found better place. We definitely recommend this hotel in Unawatuna and hopefully will come again someday.
