Sehr abseits gelegen.

Zeer leuke accommodatie met een groot zwembad. Locatie is zeer goed als je Udawalawe nationaal park wil bezoeken. Personeel zeer vriendelijk!

Het zwembad leek niet aan te staan en was nogal vuil.

Sitio muy agradable y la cabaña era muy bonita y detalles bien cuidados. La carta del restaurante era amplia y la comida estaba buena. Personal muy atento a cualquier cosa. Si vas solo una noche para hacer el safari o varias a descansar sin intención de salir mucho del recinto está muy bien, sino quizás buscaría un sitio más cercano a restaurantes.

Había una familia muy grande ocupando varias cabañas con varios niños que no paraban de chillar, llorar y hacer mucho ruido. Entiendo que un niño no va a estar callado todo el rato pero estuvimos oyendo gritos desde que llegamos al mediodía hasta casi la hora de dormir sin poder disfrutar de la paz y tranquilidad del sitio. Luego cenando en el restaurante paso lo mismo. Los padres en ningún momento hicieron nada al respecto para que se comportaran y hubiera esperado que el personal del hotel les diera un toque de atención y no lo hicieron.

Lovely location in nature. Nice breakfast and dinner. Very helpful and welcoming staff.

The shower and toilets are private but located outside the room under the sky. There were bugs everywhere so take this into consideration.

Best place we stayed in Sri Lanka. The pool was so nice after a long drive. Food was great. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Such a lovely setting.

This might be s big picky but the air con was very noisy and could have done with a blanket.

We loved the small cottages. Nice beds with klamboe, cosy shower outside. Great Pool, great breakfast, great safari. Food was good, especially the buttered chicken.

The bed on the upper floor is very warm. No airconditioning there or possibilities for a fan. Also mosquitos...

Location was ask expected, the rooms were nice, however the atmosphere and vibe at the resrot was very strange, pool, and facilties were bad/weird

The place was quite rundown, pool was horrible, atmosphere was weird, and there was a loud party in the tnet/room next to us all night which I am most certian was the staff!! The front desk team were pretty nice, but I would not reccomend or stay again.

Chef was flexible and food quality great. Steward in restaurant was super. Reception very efficient Their in house safari driver was exceptional. Location is excellent. Gardens are fascinating and owner very knowledgeable about trees. Room was great. Bed super comfy and huge. Bathroom is stunning. Loved it! Will definitely return.

A great stay here. The pool was clean and the room was great! Very peaceful stay. We had dinner at the restaurant which was tasty. We also booked our safari with them and it was a great experience. Our driver and guide were very informative and respectful to the animals. We learned a lot and seen so many elephants!

The pool is not clean properly

The resort was beautiful and quiet in the jungle. The food at the restaurant was delicious and I really liked the outdoor bathroom.

It would be great if they offered blankets, as there was so fan and too many bugs to have the the windows open, so the AC was a must at night but it was too cold with just sheets to sleep with.

I love the warm welcome by the staffs, the washroom was amazing, everything was spotless. They even have hair dryer.

Stunning property and very helpful staff. Air con for the main bedroom was great. Food was good and staff are very attentive. They was slightly late to the safari start time and felt slightly unorganised around managing breakfast and lunch, however the driver was very knowledgeable about all the animals in the park.

There was only a fan in the upper bedroom and was extremely hot.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour dans cet hôtel. Tout était parfait : les chambres, la piscine, les tentes et le cadre magnifique. Le restaurant était excellent avec des plats délicieux, et le personnel a été absolument formidable, toujours souriant, attentionné et prêt à aider. Une très belle expérience du début à la fin. Nous recommandons cet établissement sans hésitation et espérons revenir un jour !

Smještaj je bio prekrasan, suite gleda na bazen, sve čisto i uredno, osoblje ljubazno. Doručak je bio na principu švedskog stola i svatko je mogao izabrati nešto za sebe. Smještaj nam je organizirao odlazak na jutarnji safari. Svake preporuke za odsjest ovdje.

Beautiful and comfortable camping. Location is nice, right next to river and 10 minutes walking from town. Rooms comfortable with AC and nice balcony, bathrobes and towels. I stayed one night to take the safari and they packed my breakfast and send it to me so I can take it in the safari. Very helpful staff. Showers are outdoors with hot water and toiletries

De ligging is goed vlakbij de t- kruising in Udawalawe. De huisjes liggen dicht bij elkaar maar zijn prima voor een kort verblijf. Het zwembad en de bedjes zijn wat verouderd maar voldoen nog wel.

Incroyable pour le prix la chambre (avec salle de bain extérieur magnifique et très confortable), une piscine énorme peu de personne lorsqu’on était, restaurant très bon et tout fait maison ! Proposition de faire un safari avec prise en charge à l’hôtel. C’était vraiment super et me marquera à vie !

We loved the tent style huts and the staff were so lovely. Booking the safari through them was so easy and the safari was the highlight of our trip. The food was delicious.

We had a friend who wanted to have a few drinks with us before going home for the night, as he lives close to the hotel. However, the reception staff informed us that he had to leave before 9.30 PM because the hotel gates are closed at that time and no one is allowed to enter or leave afterwards. We were quite disappointed by this policy, as a hotel is a place where guests come to relax and enjoy themselves, not somewhere that feels restrictive. After some discussion with the staff, they eventually allowed him to stay until 11.30 PM, which we appreciated.

Pool was nice. Good location to get to safari and elephant transit home.

Bedding/pillows smelled quite musty, not nice to sleep on. Unfortunately one night we were there, there was a party with a band playing which very loud and late into the night in the local area, and being a tent we had to put up with the noise which wasn’t ideal when we had to be awake early for safari. Restaurant food and breakfast was quite underwhelming and not enjoyable for us.

Huge Tent like rooms. Lovely pool. Staff came and took our restaurent orders directly from the pool. Toilets are outdoor but in the tropical modernism sense. Restaurant was great over looking a river. They organised our safari.

Take sunglasses to protect your eyes from the wind while travelling to the park, its a bit far. Would have been nice to have steps from balcony to pool.

A good place to stay. A beautiful cabana.

The staff in this property are amazing and go above and beyond. The main worker at the front desk was so attentive and kind! It was my birthday and they decorated the bed and all the staff came out with a cake (that my husband got delivered to the resort) and they sang with us. It was such a big gesture for all of them to come out and celebrate with me! The property itself is amazing, it’s like glamping but 10 times nicer. The tents are really interesting and we had read reviews about ac being an issue but we didn’t have that problem at all. Our room was cool and when we didn’t turn the ac to a lower setting, it was cold! There are bugs and dragon flies over the pool but it’s totally unavoidable with it being in the middle of nature. The resort arranged our safari for us, I’d recommend the 530am start one as we saw way more in the morning than we did as it neared midday. The breakfast they packed was more than we expected: sandwiches, fruit, a boiled egg, hot coffee and juice. We loved the safari!

The restaurant didn’t have rice and curry or king coconut which was a shame. Also the buffet breakfast wasn’t running so it was a breakfast they brought out - I said I was vegetarian but still got served sausages and chicken snitzel. I’d recommend asking customers for dietary needs before serving breakfast. Overall though the staff are lovely and the stay is 100% worth it. Would just recommend eating in town!

Overall nice stay. Tent like rooms with mosquito nets over the bed. Bathroom is outside of the room. Staff was very nice and helpfull. Close to the Udawalawe safari park. Breakfast included a dahl, eggs, fruit and more.

Prepare for lots of bugs and small animals. Pool cushions are black which is extremely hot.

We loved our stay here, the room was great and all the staff so friendly. We did a half day safari with the hotel and our guide, Charith, was absolutely amazing. We had so much fun and it was great value for money in comparison to other local companies and we even got our own private jeep. The hotel facilities were great and the restaurant was much better priced than expected, we would definitely stay here again!

Petits chalets atypiques (suite avec vue sur piscine), entourés de nature. La musicien est super agréable, et très bonne surprise restaurant. Bon point de chute pour le safari (à ~ 25min en voiture) et le prix de location de jeep est raisonnable vs ce qu’on a pu constater en comparant ailleurs.

La nature c’est super mais si vous êtes peureux au niveau des petits animaux et autres bestioles à pattes (araignées, écureuil, geckos…) vous allez être servis 😊

Les tentes avec balcon autour de la piscine sont superbes. La piscine est grande et propre. L environnement est calme. Toutefois, ce sont des tentes, donc on entend les voisins. Cela ne nous a pas gêné car tout le monde est respectueux. Nous avons fait le safari 6h avec eux: c etait parfait Je recommande cet hotel pour l hébergement et l organisation du safari.

Der Pool war toll. Frühstück war ein großes jnd abwechslungsreiches Buffet, Restaurant auch gute Auswahl und lecker. Das Zimmer mit dem Außenbad war wirklich ein Highlight. Wir haben eine Full-Day-Safari direkt über das Hotel gebucht, mit der wir super zufrieden waren.

In der ersten Nacht hatten wir ein Tier in unserem Zimmer, das unser Obst angefressen hat und uns mit Geräuschen wach hielt.

Dieses Ho(s)tel war ein totaler Reinfall! Die ganze Anlage wirkt wie ein eine Mischung aus Zeltplatz und Hostel, das völlig verranzt und in die Jahre gekommen ist. Die Duscharmatur war (offensichtlich schon seit längerem) kaputt und lieferte nur kaltes Wasser, was morgens um 4:45 Uhr vor der Safari sehr unerfreulich war. Ohne irgendein Hinweisschild, Lebensmittel bitte wegzuschließen, sind in beide (verschlossenen) Zimmer Eichhörnchen eingedrungen und haben unsere gerade gekauften und verschweißten Vorräte angefressen, die auf dem Tisch lagen. Auf unseren Hinweis an das Management kam der lapidare Kommentar, dass es in den letzten Tagen dazu keine Beschwerden gegeben hätte. Keine Entschuldigung, kein Angebot der Kompensation/Wiedergutmachung oder Ähnliches. Das Frühstück war (entgegen der anderen Kommentare hier) absolut kein Highlight, eher wie in einer Kantine oder Jugendherberge. Der Pool war ganz schön, die Liegen aber eine absolute Katastrophe mit Vollplastikbezügen. Die ganze Anlage ist dringend renovierungsbedürftig. Selbst die Hälfte des gezahlten Preises wäre nicht gerechtfertigt gewesen. Die über das Hotel gebuchte Safari war schön, der Fahrer freundlich, allerdings sprach er nur eine Handvoll Worte Englisch (elephant, crocodile, leopard, bird, peacock, buffalo, mudbath, water, photo, breakfast). Weder konnte er irgendwelche einfachen Fragen zu den Tieren verstehen und beantworten noch von sich aus weitere Informationen geben. Er wurde uns zwar nicht als Guide angekündigt, aber in jedem der zahlreichen anderen Jeep, die uns unterwegs begegneten, konnten wir angeregte Unterhaltungen zwischen den Fahrern und Gästen beobachten. Das war also sehr enttäuschend für uns. Wir würden das Hotel definitiv nicht weiterempfehlen.

If I had to find fault I’d say the A/C directly over the bed does disturb your sleep a bit

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt. Die Zimmer waren recht sauber und gepflegt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das hilfsbereite Personal und der insgesamt sehr gute Service. Das Frühstück war gut.

Ist leider in die Jahre gekommen. Überall gibt es was zu tun

Le couchage de la mezzanine et l’accès à l’étage non pratique . Le couchage du haut était à même le sol . L’isolation était mauvaise dans la partie haute. Nous avions reservé pour 3 adultes mais adapté seulement pour 2 .

Nous avons dormi dans une tente de luxe, vue sur la piscine; nous avons diner sur place (demi-pension), restaurant très correct; Nous avons eu un panier petit-déjeuner pour le safari

Unique and comfortable pool side villa / chalet. Staff were very helpful making excellent recommendations on places to visit as well as organising our fantastic safari and Elephant transit centre. Recommend booking half board! Breakfasts are huge with lots of variety!
