Abbiamo soggiornato in questa guest house a Dharavandhoo e ci siamo trovati davvero molto bene. La posizione è ottima, vicinissima alla Bikini Beach e comoda anche per raggiungere i supermercati. Un ringraziamento speciale a Babu, sempre super disponibile, ci è venuto a prendere in aeroporto, gentile e pronto ad aiutare per qualsiasi cosa. Abbiamo apprezzato molto anche la colazione e la cena, sempre abbondanti e davvero buone sempre preparate da lui. Anche le escursioni sono ben organizzate e la comunicazione è stata sempre semplice e veloce. La struttura è pulita e accogliente, nella sua semplicità, e offre tutto il necessario per un soggiorno confortevole: aria condizionata, frigorifero e bollitore a disposizione. Nel complesso è stata un’esperienza molto positiva e ci sentiamo di consigliare questa guest house a chi vuole vivere Dharavandhoo in un ambiente semplice, pulito e con un’ottima ospitalità. Ci torneremmo volentieri!

Маленький чистый гест (по-моему 8 номеров на двух этажах). Постоянно убираются. По питанию брала только завтраки (через день мальдивский-континентальный) - обычный для мальдив завтрак, сытный. Брала через гест экскурсии: цены не большие, экскурсии понравились. Хорошо работает кондиционер, правда комната маленькая, и кондиционер захватывает кровать. Я размещалась на краю кровати подальше от кондиционера. Немного напрягало первые дни, что не было сейфа (хотя в описании к номеру сейф указан). Потом отпустила эту тему. По просьбе дают фен. Там же можно постирать вещи (первый раз без оплаты, затем 5 долларов). Есть на первом этаже холодильник (в номере нет), обеденная зона (стоит посуда, чайник, заварка, сахар). Очень удобно, что можно самостоятельно что-то порезать, собрать покушать. В номере нет сломанных вещей, в санузле всё нормально, читала, что сталкивались с поломками другие путешественники. Гест очень близко к пляжу (поэтому и покупала его), буквально 50-100 м до берега. Мне все понравилось, просто учитывайте, что у геста очень низкая стоимость (вообще не понимаю, как они выживают по такому тарифу и поддерживают весь гест). По всем вопросам помогали оперативно, в гесте сотрудники находятся с 7 утра до позднего вечера. Удачи им и процветания.

Das hübsche Violt Inn liegt zentral zwischen Strand und Hafen. Das Zimmer war geräumig und gemütlich. Babu und Wilson kümmern sich sehr, dass der Urlaub perfekt wird. Es gibt inzwischen einige Restaurants auf der Insel, aber ich habe mich von Babu bekommen lassen. Die Speisekarte ist abwechslungsreich und das Essen lecker. Alles ist sauber und aufgeräumt. Es gibt Handtücher für den Strand, eine Möglichkeit zu waschen und Wasser und Tee/Kaffee den ganzen Tag. Einen Kühlschrank für eigene Sachen. Die Organisation des Transports auf die Insel im Vorfeld verlief so freundlich und entgegenkommend, dass ich mich schon gut aufgehoben gefühlt habe. Vielen Dank an das ganze Team, ihr seid großartig.

I stayed here 2 weeks and had a great experience. It was more than I was expecting and Wilson looked after me well. Breakfast was included, alternated continental and Maldivian. Dinners were also good. Room cleaned regularly and was comfortable for that amount of time. The bikini beach is close as well with a good area to swim and snorkel. The hotel also do snorkelling tours which was very handy and at very reasonable prices. Dharavandhoo locals were very welcoming and enjoyed evenings down at the fish market watching the rays and sharks. Would definitely come back again.

Alors pas où commencer? J'y étais hier alors que la je suis chez moi dans mon canapé... C'est la première fois que j'hésite entre un 9 et un 10. J'ai la chance d'avoir vu énormément de pays , de logements décevants à d'incroyables surprises. Le violet n'est pas le palace que j'avais au mexique ni l'hôtel de miami ou était Will smith...et pourtant... J'ai adoré. On a choisi ces vacances sur le coup, marre de la pluie.on a fait au moins cher en se disant on s'en fout de l'hôtel on y va pour le soleil et la plage ( formidable en passant). Donc on a pris tout inclus à 500 la semaine, au maldives c'est vraiment donné. Et la, problèmes reccurent de bateau qui n'est pas l'heure pour nous emmener de l'aéroport à l'hôtel, on s'inquiétait, on appelle l'hôtel... Il a tout géré, il a appelé le bateau pour savoir où il était, nous a rappelé pour nous dire que ça allait qu'il arrivait( c'était vrai). Ils sont venus nous chercher au port en voiture alors que ce n'était pas prévu. La chambre très propre , clim et ventilation. Très propre. Les repas, franchement prenez en tout inclus, il y a pas beaucoup de restaurant l'as bas et celui là est top. Babu ( le cuisinier, homme d'accueil, et notre référent) est au top.je pense qu'on a grossis à manger tout ca.( prenez Chili chicken, c'est top, j'en mangeais tous les soirs). On avait l'impression d'être dans un hôtel mais presque maison d'hôtes, c'est bizarre comme découverte. On a adoré. L'emplacement est top , plage 20metres. Les habitants tous super gentils. Île très très propre.aucun dechets.vraiment aucun. Fond marin au top. Nous avons choisis excursions tortues avec l'hôtel à 80 dollars pour deux. On a vu pleins de tortues.le soir le responsable de l'hôtel, nous a rendu 10euros car selon lui on avait payé trop cher par rapport au prix du dollar par rapport à l'euro...( qui fait ça?

Great location in the built-up part of the island, very friendly and helpful staff. Stylish lobby where breakfast was served. Breakfast was tasty, but portions were smaller especially for teenage sons :-D The rooms were furnished sparingly, but functionally, we didn't miss anything. Fine sand is part of the location, it was also in the hotel, unfortunately it also got into the room, but the staff cleaned it diligently every day. The hotel is a great choice, affordable. It does not offer luxury, but an authentic stay in the part of the island where the locals live. The owner is able to organize a number of activities, including a trip to Hanufaru Bay. The location is quiet, the terrace has a beautiful view of the ocean, it is a few steps to the beach, restaurants and shops (as on the whole island :-D) And the snorkeling at the reef is truly spectacular!

The air conditioning is quite noisy, I had to turn it off at night. I then had to keep the window open, but there were air conditioning units from other rooms underneath it. Moreover, the window wouldn't stay open, I had to make do with a wedge.

Staff were excellant in arranging pick-up from ferry and drop-off at airport. They also run their own excusions even for one person! Bed was one of the most comfortable in 5-6 weeks of travelling Beach towels and snorkling area were available at no charge.

Not a fan of the sandy beach interior. Bathroom had a lingering odour.

We stayed here from 28.12.2025-05.01.2026, 3 friends. Good place to stay, close to everything. Beautiful beaches, good food. Babu, the host, was nice and helpful with everything. I recommend this place.

Великолепное расположение, близко до пляжа. Хозяин очень приветливый. Встретил у причала, вызвал транспорт, чтобы отвезти рано утром в аэропорт. Вместо завтрака с собой очень рано приготовили хороший завтрак! Удобно останавливаться для дайвинга, на экскурсии в Ханифару Бэй. Очень близко к пляжу и порту. В номере чисто, номер большой на втором этаже. На балконе можно пить кофе. Внизу есть кипяток, чай, кофе. Спасибо большое, все очень понравилось!

I spent 2 weeks at the violet inn and I can highly recommend it. Thanks Wilson, who managed all (inkl. Pick up airport, transfer to airport) and Babu the cook who prepared me as a vegetarian a phantastic vegetarian dinner every day. For breakfast you can choose international or Maldivian style. They offer toast, butter, marmelade, eggs, tuna, bread, orange, apple, coffee, tea.. Both guys were very friendly and helpful. I had a very nice spacious room with a new bathroom on the first floor with access to a shared terrace with view to the ocean. Der room service was also perfect. Wifi worked every where in the hotel perfectly. I will also recommend Afu and his guide. They give you actual informations about the places where Mantas and Whalesharks are seen. I had a few unforgettable boat trips with Afu.. It keeps unforgettable. I were so so lucky to swim with 100 + Mantas and 7 whale sharks. It was the best I've ever experienced under water. I'm more than happy and more than grateful for my beautiful stay on Dharavandhoo in the violet inn hotel. Doris

Bardzo dobra obsługa, korzystaliśmy z dwóch wycieczek na rekiny wielorybie i manty. Super wycieczki - polecam. Plaża blisko, chodziliśmy na boso, leżaki i ręczniki prane codziennie. Wszystko na miejscu było zgodne z opisem. Transport łódką też załatwili, a samolot na koniec pobytu też. Nic nie musieliśmy same robić, wszystko załatwił hotel. Jesteśmy zachwycone!!!

Location was perfect (central) between bikini beaches and harbor and restaurants. Staff were kind and helpful. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast available every morning.

We liked it all. Only thing that we would have preferred was a little more space in rooms for sitting or luggage. But we were there for diving/snorkeling so didn’t spend much time in room anyways.

The location was fantastic, very close to the boats to one side and close to the beach on the other side. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The staff were so nice and helpful, especially Wilson. Next door at the back of the garden there is a coffee house, and plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

Buone sia la colazione che la cena. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Per chi cerca una soluzione comoda e a buon prezzo è l'ideale.

Nella nostra camera non era possibile aprire la finestra, rimaneva quindi un po' di umidità. Stendi biancheria comune un po' piccolo.

The chef was great and always made delicious meals for us and the counter staff were always available to answer any questions we had. The hotel offers many water activities for guests to choose from. We highly recommend Manta Watchin and night fishing trips.

The hotel has a good location close to the bikini beach. The staff were friendly and tried to make our stay enjoyable.

The hotel facilities are outdated and often non-functional. We were given two rooms on the ground floor, both of which smelled bad. After a complaint we were given one new room upstairs where it was better, but there was no solution for the other room, which made our stay quite unpleasant. The breakfast is below average and small - not even enough for the kids.

Clean room and bathroom. Great service from Wilson who has very helpful. Bikini beach is 2 minutes walk. Every day clean towels and beach towels available. The island has beautiful beaches for the tourists. People are very friendly. At the end of the beaches at the picknick beach there is a snorkeling area with stairs going into the sea. The jungle is a beautiful walk. Like most of the islands...there is lot of construction going on. There are really beautiful guesthouses and hotels on the island. The bikini beach has a lot of sunbeds and shadow from the trees. Less beautiful is the garbage you see on some properties. The island has a great supermarket behind the harbour and some really good restaurants. The best restaurant (DFC Restaurant), opened all the day for breakfast, lunch, diner you find at the harbour. Fresh juices, salads, tasteful dishes, fresh fish from the bbq, fresh fruit platters and good prices. Everything is fresh from the own garden on the roof and the greenery on the island. They also provide transfers to the other islands and resorts. Ask in the DFC restaurant for more information and prices. Nearby at the harbour is an shop for diving, fishing and snorkeling excursions for very reasonable prices. Dharavandoo is worth visiting for 4-5 days.

Breakfast...every day: 3 x toast+1 butter+1 jam+1 egg+1 dry sausage+chemical sugar water. No variation. Diner.. microwave and hot water noodles. There is a chef but he is doing nothing. We skipped the diner and went every day to the DFC restaurant at the harbour for great tasteful food.

Fantastic location, clean, well equipped. And the best support from hosts before and during my stay! A host, William arranged the boat from Male and all optional tour, let all guests know Manta Alart and Whale Shark appearing the day and night. I appreciate everything his doing. And I recommend you to have a dinner at this hotel, too. a chef makes good dishes.

Really lovely guesthouse in a great location, close to both the harbour and bikini beach. There's some wonderful local cafes and restaurants nearby, and it was lovely just to chill out with the locals at the harbour. Breakfast was more than sufficient and we were really happy to receive the local food. There's also a lovely rooftop terrace, but unfortunately, the seating area was often covered with guests drying clothes (there's a dedicated laundry line for this out back which we were very grateful for!). Dharavandoo is the closest island to Hanifaru Bay, one of the best places to see mantas (why we were there!) and the whole island seems to be on "manta watch", sharing around whenever they're spotted. Wilson was on it from the moment we arrived, adding us to his WhatsApp group to receive updates wherever we were, very efficient. We went out twice, our first visit, we only saw one manta, far below but also a turtle. On our second visit, we saw a whole lot more, including a little of their renowned "dancing", a hunting dolphin even made a surprise appearance which was fantastic. Would highly recommend, especially as Hanifaru is closely regulated (limited visitors and can only go with a licensed guide), and it's good to see the nature and environment receive the respect it deserves.

Our room backed up to the kitchen area and unfortunately a large group of Taiwanese guests arrived one night and were so loud and rude! It never ceases to amaze me how many people feel the need to rearrange furniture and scrape chairs across the floor at 10pm :-) As with another guesthouse experience we had in the Maldives, we'd recommend triple checking your speedboat reservations multiple times with the team on hand. Unfortunately, it seems that the contacts we're given before arrival, both on Booking and on their own websites aren't the staff who are actually present at the guesthouse. Despite arranging, and confirming our speedboat via Booking when first booked, then again a month before arrival with the provided contact person (who assured us twice it had been booked), it had not. And we were basically told that was on us for not reminding them again a week earlier. It was all sorted in the end, but could be a potential issue if you think your two confirmations are enough!

The location of this guesthouse is just about 3-4 mins walk away from the main harbour, making my it very convenient. The staff especially, Wilson was super helpful and so polite. Another convenience is they add you to a group which has constant updates about drive and snorkling trips and they are there to ensure you have the best experience. Had a lovely peaceful time during my stay.

We got picked up from the speed boat, as soon as we arrived (which they also helped us organise from Malé). The manager was very helpful the whole time, and also told us about Hanifaru snorkelling rules and expectations. In June 2024 when we were there the Mantas were a little late, so we were told it was pointless going out every day. Instead, they monitor the region with drones. There were a few times when the manager ran down to the beach to get us because there was a sighting. The hotel is linked to the cafe DFC which is very good value for money and tasty food, we ate there every meal. Water was available for free. Laundry was done once for free. It was a short walk to bikini beach, but not bad, and we preferred being closer to the cafe and shops. Overall loved it here and would come back. Service level and value for money were amazing

Room was basic, quite small. But personally, we spent hardly any time in here, as we were out snorkelling the whole time.

We are very happy about our reservation in violet inn. Saape is doing very good job, he take care about our experience at Maledives. Our needs and wishes wos well served.

Good location near the harbor/restaurants. I am glad the manager tried to make things right about my issue (refer below) and offered a free night. Comfortable bed, hot shower, felt safe as a female solo traveler, kitchen area.

I honestly would've given this place a 5/5 rating because there were many great perks (refer above). However, I arrived at 12:00PM (check in start) and instead of having me wait while they deep cleaned, the housekeeper let me check in to my room where I found pee on the toilet still, hair in the sink, an eye booger STILL ON THE PILLOWCASE (honestly have pictures), dark hairs on the bed and pubic hairs on the floor near a gross yellow mark. I mentioned it to the housekeeper who did the bare minimum and didn't even offer to change my sheets. I covered the pillow with a clean shirt and slept in long pants and slept with the sheets folder over as an extra layer of protection because I was so grossed out. I didn't change rooms b/c I only had a few days on the island and there weren't many options left last minute. The manager did offer 1 night free because he was not happy to hear about my experience and did apologize and was nice about it but I honestly have never been somewhere that didn't value cleanliness and I travel a LOT...I don't need anywhere special, as long as it's safe & clean, I am happy. Honestly would've been a great stay if not for the cleanliness issue

I recently stayed at this hotel and found it not bad. However, what truly made our stay exceptional was the incredible service provided by the manager, Afou, and a staff member, Jinane. They went above and beyond to create a bespoke experience for us, turning our stay into something truly memorable. Afou and Jinane organized a custom snorkeling trip where we had the amazing opportunity to swim with turtles and even tried to spot some nurse sharks. Their knowledge of the local marine life and the best spots for snorkeling was impressive. The highlight of the trip was visiting a sandbank and an uninhabited island, both of which boasted crystal clear waters and breathtaking scenery. It felt like we were in a little slice of paradise. This personalized adventure greatly compensated for the otherwise average room. The effort and dedication Afou and Jinane put into ensuring our stay was unique and enjoyable were truly commendable. Thanks to their extraordinary service and the incredible experiences they curated for us, our stay at the hotel became an unforgettable one. I would return for the exceptional hospitality and the remarkable experiences that they expertly arranged.

The room itself was clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable space to relax. However, there was a notable issue with humidity in the room, which affected the overall comfort. This humidity made the bed sheets feel damp, which was a bit unpleasant for sleeping. It’s a point that the hotel might need to address to enhance the comfort of future stays.

The location of the hotel is really nice, considering is a small island, but still you are very close to the bikini beach. We did a great tour with the team from the hotel, they were super nice

We found several cockroaches in the toilets. We knew this wasn't a resort and we weren't expecting that either, but is never nice to see cockroaches in a hotel. Keep in mind they don't clean the rooms while you are staying there. The breakfast and dinner was good but there's no variation., you can't choose much.

: Really nice place, close to "bikini"- beach. Friendly, helpful staff (Afo). Drinking water is always available at the common kitchen. The whole place was really clean, and calm. Room, bathroom was clean, well equipped. Warm water was always ready for shower. Room is bright, with some really nice paintings on the wall. Breakfast and dinner was really tasty, and varie.

The hotel is very well located in front of the beach. The meals are served in one of the best restaurants in town (DFC). I believe the best part was the employees, they were very friendly and attentive solving any requests we had.

Immediately after the booking reservation the manager contacted us to arrange transportation and have everything ready prior to our arrival (made reservations almost 3 months before the arrival). The manager named Aful was really friendly and happy to help is with everything, like external activities such as snorkeling and even if we didn't order, a taxi was waiting for us at the airport when we have arrived or leaving:) The accomodation doesn't have a restaurant inside the place but it's like 2,3 min by foot from the place where we have eaten every day. We didn't choose lunch in the final price because we also wanted to go somewhere else on the island to try other things too (not expensive at all, like normal prices and we are from Croatia). The reason why we have chosen this island was because it is really small local island to stay 3-4 days and only relax :) not to mention that even if we have gone to South and the capital, the island Dharavandhoo has the most beautiful and delicious fresh juices (pineapple, watermelon, papaya, mango, passion fruit, lime, orange, well everything hehe :)) P.s. As this is the local island people eat here more spicy food then compared to some other islands which are more touristic ones. P.p.s. they will always accept their local currency but they accept dollars or credit, trully recommending to have Revolut! -> fyi: 1 dollar is 15 Maldivian rufiyaa in the North whilst 10 in the South,so be sure to check prior to paying.

Very nice, clean and beautiful place. The room, service, food just an amazing! There is a DFC restaurant close to the place, also belonging to the same family business, it’s the best place in Maldives to have a memorable barbecue dinner. They have all types of excursions, Hanifaru bay is just 5 minutes away from here, so we joined the manta trip and saw 5 mantas on the cleaning station. Thank you very much for unforgettable vacation!
